Satisfying to say got it!!! Found edge of old fence and hint of old mtn bike track, waded my way through horse and tree prunings, almost going to turn but persisted:-) The mtn bike park is going to be awesome looking at this track:-) TFTC!!
first I tought I also have a DNF. I was digging through the rumble. when I gave up and decided to track back I checked the GPS again and now it was pointing to a different tree. checked it and... there it was....
Our winning streak ended here among the pruned tree branches and gorse. We crawled among them to where our GPS insisted GZ was to be found, but all we retrieved was grazes and clouds of pollen.
Trees had been recently pruned, could hear chainsaws going a little further up. Climbed over lots of pruned branches to find this one. Glad I had my gaiters on. Tftc
#12203. It was no problem getting to GZ, but once there we searched in a rather unpleasant area that didn't contain the cache. Eventually I looked around for other options, and the cache was soon found in a much more accessible spot. TFTC.
We thought we should take advantage of the good weather (and what a fabulous day it was too) and walk up the Worsley Track today before it closes for logging. It's been a while since we were last in the area and it looks like urban sprawl is creeping up here as well.
We spent several minutes minutely examining a location that fitted the cache description very well but no sign of the cache. After realising that the pine needles had looked mostly undisturbed here (not the case now, though), we decided we were looking in the wrong location and when in the right place, StreetWalker quickly made the find. TFTC.

With the closure of the track immanent I thought I should make the effort to clean up the remaining caches up here. A nice walk, not too hot, plenty of bikers about testing their skills on some gnarly tracks. A quick find, cheers.
Found on a sunny Sunday, around Christchurch. Cheers and thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

With the news about the park. My sister and I thought it was time to do these so off we went.
This one took a wee bit longer to find - had just given the 1 more min call then we found it

With news of the impending changes around this area, my sister and I (with daughter in tow) decided to knock off what caches we could.
This one was a little harder to find. My daughter and I gave up after being prickled a few times. Luckily my sister is a little more determined - thanks chick. Found, signed, returned to its spot. Thanks for the cache.

Having heard that part of the forest was closing for construction of the new bike park NotManlyJack and I decided it was time to get up here and find the caches either side of Worsleys Road; (or is it Goose Track)?
This was the one of twelve finds for the day. We took so long walking up and back, and finding the caches, that we didn't have much time to devote to WPT2 of the Mens' Multi. Will have to try again!
Apologies for the cut and paste logs, I'll try to add a little something specific to each...
Fifth find, still getting them easily. This time in the second place checked.

A nice day out walking along the track with 2wombles and Lyttelton Witch. We soon made the find. TFTC.
A quick find and no problems with sticky out bits. Some of us are lower to the ground than others.
With news of the potential temporary closure of the forest surrounding this track, I decided to head up the track today to clear out the caches here just in case they are affected by the nearby development. Was joined by Lyttelton Witch and Bigglespoonies. Thanks for the cache, and the series of caches places here.
Hitting the Woslesy track and some of the caches on it. After a bit of annual leave this is my last evening before I start back tomorrow. So a bit of reflection and fun before that had to get on MA belly to retrieve this....signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC TwoSharpe , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 11 March 2016, cache number #1260!
Needed some cobwebs blown out before heading back to the grindstone. Decided to head up this way to collect three caches that have been accumulating. Parked up by the water tank and headed up. Lovely day for a midday stroll.
I wandered up to GZ and couldn't find it straight away. I took a phone call and as I was talking the cache showed itself. I had a giggle and signed the log after the phone call.
Thanks for the cache TwoSharpe.

The last of today's two cache finding tasks on Worsley Rd. Nice quick find. Time now to head back down the hill to go seek out another couple of unfounds. TFTC.
This took me longer than it should have, but I got there in the end.
I have seen one of these birds down the other end of the Port Hills, it was so cool.
Cheers and thanks,

Have made a couple of trips up the track to both grab caches and keep my streak going. This time the three of us had 3 in our sights on a trip up after work . This was the first and the hardest we found with the cache well covered and with several likely spots to search. It was also found a little away from a place we expected but got it in the end.
A handy TB in this one to get some info from. Another shady spot on the way up to have a rest under. Yay for the shade. Cheers
Wee dudes stayed the night with grandparents so up early for a sloig up the hill with Mrs TG. Every time I come up here the 'road' seems to get worse! Lovely morning. Mrs TG continued uphill whilst I went back down to grab the car....
Met her back up on summit road to tackle another one up around by the observatory. Cheers.

Quick find on a sunny afternoon, while my mini-catcher was having a snack. TFTC.
This took longer to find on my walk / run up the hill. Had to read everything to have an idea what I was looking for. Don't always read the descriptions. Tftc
Trickiest one so far. Again backpack off for safety's sake, but this time Mr1 had a snack while I searched. The dog is definitely enjoying this walk. Tftc again.
Reperio at 0650. *FTF*
Having been down south for most of the day collecting various puzzle caches, I saw that this one still hadn't been found this morning...so on my way back to Lyttleton, I took a quick detour in search for it. While the legs were a little stiff from running and climbing around Godley Head yesterday morning, it was really nice to stretch them out. Once at GZ, the cache was spotted with its head just sticking out, and I sat and enjoyed the serenity of the area while I signed the log and had a bite to eat.
Gratias TwoSharpe.

2TF. Not often that happens these days. Took a bit of hunting as gps was all over the show. Tftc
