I had a couple of challenge cache requirements to fulfil today as well as the desire for some exercise. The rail trail from Ballarat to Skipton as well as a couple of caches nearby fit the bill perfectly. After picking up my daily puzzle cache and driving to the Smythe's Creek cemetery it was onto the rail trail for a decent bit of exercise.
Almost all caches were found with only one DNF even after a PAF. Oddly enough it was perhaps the least likely to be muggled of the lot and yet..? My thanks to all the cache owners for providing an afternoon of solid entertainment.

Quick grab to assist with another challenge. Fiund a little space to make our mark on the logsheet. Tftc

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

All quiet in the neighbourhood this Tuesday morning. I managed to find a tiny corner the log strip to enter my nick. Yes, it's indeed full. Thanks for the cache and the Z!
Being where the cache is and being a Saturday there was activity on the other side of the fence, we did wonder what they were doing, whatever it was a strange noise. SL TFTC
A great day out caching over this side of the country.
Enjoying the sights as we travel around.

Found after a night at Kryal Castle on my birthday ...nice walk..clever idea for a series..
In town for an appointment, I had limited time so made the quick walk in to this one on my way home. A nice quick find. TFTC
With some time in Ballarat I thought I would spend it concentrating on meeting some of these people and hopefully getting up close and personal on a first name basis. Again another very unusual name with no one I know sharing it with this cache Thanks BallaratGeocachers
Found while a caching for the mythical creatures souvenirs with B.
This one fills a gap for the name challenge cache too. TFTC

We managed to get half a day off work today so we thought that the best thing we could do with our time was head off to an event picking up a few caches along the way.
This series seemed interesting as we had a bit of time to spare before the event started and as it was quite chilly we chose the driving method which worked out quite well for the five we found.
We found all the cache co-ords to be accurate and as the cache page says they were all relatively easy hides in logical places.
There was some great brick work to be seen here and we loved the bluestone overpass
We only managed five today so we will have to return to find the rest.
Thanks BallaratGeocachers for the cache.

The nearby old drain and bluestone entry show an interesting part of the town, and I was picturing how the area looked.

I've had this series solved for way to long, thankfully I had grabbed them as they have come in handy for the Planetary souvenirs.
Journeyed up the highway with simsfamily under the cover of darkness to what feels like a second home for caching.
Another detour to make a quick find here.
Log signed and replaced as found

After work tonight I was heading out to a Pursue the Planets event near home when I got a message from Ausfox; saying he was thinking of heading up the highway to Ballarat to try and get a little further out toward the out planets of our Solar System.
We have been grabbing a few of this series every time we have been in Ballarat lately and that seems to be more often than not lately.
Midnight was almost on us as this one was found and we were still keen for more. We can really make it to the outer lying planets
Thank you BallaratGeocachers for a nice little series

Find No. 1983. Found at 8.31pm
Down in Ballarat spending the night at a motel, for the 100k bicycle ride on Sunday.
We grabbed a few caches in the area where we are staying before tea. Now after tea seeing how it was still daylight we thought we would grab a few more. Only one place for this to be after reading the hint but we went to the wrong one. Soon discovered it in the other one. Signed the log and seeing how it was getting dark we decided we had time for just one more.

Up in Ballarat for the day visiting my Mother in law and after a quick stop for lunch managed to squeeze in a short burst of caching while the rest of the family did some last minute shopping.
I know I had found the Z for Zara in this series before it was replaced and thought I had found this one as well but didn't recognise it when I got to GZ. Must have gotten confused with my alphabet. Thanks for the cache Ballarat Geocachers.

After attending the CITO out along the Yarrowee Creek it was time to find a few more caches and this guy was on my list.
Once i moved and was at the right angle I spotted what I was looking for.

In the area for some appointments and went looking for a few more caches inbetween commitments. A beautiful area, found this one very quickly. Each time I'm in town I manage to know a few more of this series off the list. Many thanks
Found a shady tree to park the car, then a short walk to GZ . Found the cache OK , excellent co ords.
When I dropped off my daughter for dance lessons I saw this one was close. At Gz, a scout around had me finding the cache quickly. Cigc. Tftc
Thanks to BallaratGeocachers for the cache. A quiet spot today and ticked off another day in the calendar. Well placed and a good log book to sign. Cheers
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]

A trip to Ballarat, to try and tidy up a few errant caches to the east, turned out to be a freezing and somewhat frustrating day. Z the last letter of the alphabet, not the last of the series for us. It seemed to take forever to find this one, we even tried more than one tree! Finally spied it with the usual comment - How did we miss that!!
Satellites today had our GZ 6 metres SW of where we found the cache.
Our thanks to BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache.

In Ballarat for the day with GeoSon #1. Came for the Symbol series, stayed for the Name series . Zelda is an absolute pleasure to have in class. Thanks heaps, BallaratGeocachers.
Our Queen's Birthday challenge with Harrowang was to complete the First Name Series and find a record number of caches for the day. We found Zelda, our 18th cache by 2:30pm, so no time to waste to achieve our goals! SL TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1055. Must be too cold even for the locals this morning. Found ok after a brief search. Mary had an Aunt Zelma. Our thanks to BallaratGeocachers.
Out again on the push bike. Was a bit damp, but that meant the muggles left me alone.
These are just a question of focus.

Another quick find. That is 4 in a row of this type that I have found which has to be some sort of record for me. Mind you the coords were good on them and none were very hard.
Thanks for placing this cache. We enjoyed grabbing a few caches while showing our muggle cousins what it's all about. I think we may be on the verge of converting them lol.
Found as Nicnax. I tried to tell them all about Zelda, being my favourite game and all, but the family doesn't listen to me, they just say, so which one is next. Cant say I didn't try to educate them. TFTC
