This had us scratching our heads just a tad bit we found it woo! Thanks supernanny for a other great cache! The dog enjoyed this one the most as she paddled and investigated the stream while we scratched our heads
After debating where the entrance to the track actually was (we felt like we were in somebody's garden) I took the hint a bit to literal and almost ended up under the bridge. Back tracked to the landing and tried again from there and found the cache straight away.
Made a detour to at last find this secret spot Happy the path was dry underfoot, and made my way to the little bridge, then started my search. The GPS put me near the waters edge, but that did not look right, the area looked like it was in the flood zone. So back up the stairs i went, turned lefts and what do I spy hidden in the bank? Yippie it was the cache. After signing i placed a rock in front of its hidey hole.So cool, thanks supernannny for bringing me to this amazing place and the hide.
All good again.Have replaced with a new container in a similar place.Enjoy.....
Seems to have gone , in the floods or cyclone...The place it was in is now full of silt....Will replace shortly as I love the area here....
Almost missed this one on the way back from the big three kauri tree cache, but spotted on my PQ and headed to GZ. Down the steps and soon at GZ and too low had me a t the waters edge. A quick retreat and check of the clue and the cache was soon in hand and signed. I prised out a big stone to keep the cache company alongside as looked about to roll down the bank.
Not the day I was expecting today really. Headed out earlyish with a plan to do some small bush strolls and walks in non-KDD affected areas, then home via the grocery store to meet up with our son and his family. Unfortunately as we headed to Westgate the sky blackened and some rain began so a change of plans and the groceries were grabbed early and headed home to put away. With mrs capperz having a knitting target before Thursday deadline she stayed at home and I headed out for a nice total of 20 finds and quite a few supernannny caches to get ever closer to a century of finds. Thansk to all CO s for their placements.

Out cruising today, finding places to hide caches. Saw this gorgeous area and soon realised there's a cache here! I have been here and done this 5 1/2 years ago! Can't remember ever coming here. Very surprised there's no track closure here. So many small Kauri and not so young Rimu that you walk over. I'm glad this is here.
I loved going down to that stream as a kid and i had no idea that there was one down there until recently! Thanks for bringing a but of nostalgia to my day
On Christmas day with my daughter and a couple of nephews, we decided to find this one just 70 meters away.
Found quickly by Gilltim.

Staying with a friend...it was a bit of a hike from the airport last night, but I was so excited to wake up & discover how close the bush was!! Had to leave my mark in the area so tracked this down...not quite where I thought it would be from the map...but a wider search area helped and I left with success TFTC and helping me explore this marvellous area! Favourite point for thanks
(Log book was soaked, but I had no more paper on me sorry...could do with a new piece soon)

Finally having the chance to go caching during the day on a nice fine afternoon. After negotiating the roadworks in Opanuku Rd I drove down to Vale Park and enjoyed a short walk in the secret glade. It is a pleasant little stream near GZ and the cache itself was quickly spotted. Thanks.
I remember being here on a rainy day. It was bucketing down so hard, I didn't even get out of the Geovan. The weather was much better today, so I returned to get this one.
GZ came long before anything matched the hint. Rather then follow my GPSr, I kept going and found the right items and the cache. If you are one of those who need close coords, try S36 54.374 E174 34.767. TFTC.

Out with evilno9 today to clean up some geocaches still around in the waitaks. Great little hidden gem. TFTC
Grabbing a few afternoon caches with alpenmilch80 on a lovely sunny day and stopped in here. This was a surprise in terms of being such a great little spot just tucked away between the houses. Quick find with the hint and after thinking about following the stream we headed back to the car for one more while we were here. TFTC
Cool little place well hidden cache. Now I know what an overhang is! SimsZW and P Trice.Ta
Stopped here on my way to camp at Opanuku Stream for the night. Lovely little glade here which I never knew existed. Wasn't keen on making a close acquaintance with any of the 8 legged residents so after a cursory search I was just about to give up when I spied the cache in the first place I had looked.
Nice little bush walk even on a wet day. Took a little hunting but we found it as per the hint. Tftc

My second visit to this place, first time I came around Christmas, after having a Christmas-time visit to my NZ-family's relatives who live just a few houses down from the cache. But without a torch, without shoes and by choosing a wrong entrance point from Grassmere road. My attempt was doomed to be **curdled**.
Again, we came in darkness but what we saw here - glowworms! Right around the cache spot! Well, actually maybe not glowworms but glow-"something else". First time seeing the glowing night insects in NZ anyway, nice!
Thanks for the cache!

Out west once again for a few new caches and another newly discovered park and track!
Many thanks for bringing me out here
Many thanks for bringing me out here
Out for some caches with 10centNZ; awesome little track and beautiful stream! That's for sharing it!
Out with synchnz. God had us a little way up the track but a search in the area found the beautiful stream and then the cache! Tftc
Had arranged to met up with Trout-fly today to pick up as many drive by caches as we could. Had a great time finding 35/35 for the day, GPS was all over the place for me so very glad that TF found it. TFTC
A little hidden gem is this spot
Coordinates seemed to be off, probably due to tree cover, but the cache was retrieved quickly based on the hint given. TFTC

Coordinates seemed a bit off. Given the hint we were able to locate the cache quick smart. Thanks for the cache!
Vistra and I headed back out after it got a bit cooler to work on the west ones again. Got to close to GZ and ghps wanted us to go into the Kauri area with 7m to go, read previous logs and saw that we needed to be down by the stream, gps ended up being 20m out, but it was an easy find

After caching on the North Shore this morning, then taking a break from the heat this afternoon, yorkshirekiwi83 and I headed out again this evening to pick up a few local caches out West. After a short stroll through the lovely bush we soon had the cache in hand after a bit of a search - the GPS was a bit off here, but it didn't take us long to figure out where we needed to be. A lovely spot here. TFTC!

Thankfully I had Gorby's co-ords on hand as the gps was trying to take us somewhere that didn't make sense with the hint. The track was a little slippery with the recent rain so took a slight detour to miss that bit and then continued on the path to the stream. Urbangypsynz quickly made the find. Wow, this sure is a beautiful place, I definitely want to come back and explore this track more
A bit slippery at the top of the track but a beautiful spot,it is amazing how many of these hidden gems there are out there. Thank you for sharing this spot.
Very awesome spot!! I'll definitely be back here to explore soon!! TFTC picked up TB
Certainly didn't know about this little gem. A great little spot for a cache. There on placement. Tftc
Really nice spot ... Another reason it's great to be a Kiwi other than the World Cup win:)
Had done a quick pocket query before leaving home and had not done enough pre- reading on this or others. After searching higher ground for some time re read the description and hint. Aha, we were relying too much on the coordinates. Have also noted that Gorby gave a hint on some better coordinates. Closer to the GZ than where we had been looking. Beautiful spot. Quite magic this afternoon.
Just some co-ordinates I suggested to supernanny that might help get people closer to GZ. Thanks supernanny for the cache, it was a lot of fun: 36° 54.378'S 174° 34.771'E
#302 Geodad, Geoboy and Geogirl (Geomum is in Wellington for the weekend) decided to spend this afternoon collecting some of the geocaches near Oratia. Nice little spot, really peaceful, Geoboy decided to perform balancing tricks on rocks in water, defying getting drenched with his cat like agility. Dropped in 2 x TB that have been burning a hole in pocket for a couple of weeks now.

Our gps's had us searching in higher ground. Should have FULLY read description first- Doh! tftc supernanny!
What a great little pocket of bush this is. Never knew this reserve existed. Thanks supernanny for bringing me here.Picked up one of the TBs
Out and about for the afternoon with Pazzabella and the geodogs. We hadn't read the description properly (tch! tch!... you'd think we'd know better by now) and spent far too long searching everywhere but GZ!
Geodogs didn't mind though - they had a great time:). Thanks for the cache!

Woke up this morning and check my notifications on my phone... (7.30am)
Ooh a new cache.
Published an hour ago... Grr. (6.30am)
Oh well it's not too far away from me.
Jump in the car, and fight the traffic to get to the end of my road...
heading to the recommended parking spot...
Overshoot and end up at the end of the road...
Turn around head back.
Oh this looks like a nice little walk for the morning.
Get down to the beautiful stream look around and what do i see?
A little geocache staring at me.
So i open it up and what do i find?
I'm the First to Find!
(7.52am)
Thanks for the Cache! You have some beautiful spots for caches!

Came by this way several hours after publication, while collecting a FTF at Karamatura Strm and a few caches on the way back. I knew ages ago that the FTF had gone to Witchegurl but a new cache by supernanny is hard to pass up! She always has lovely places to visit that I always want to come to see. I came by Grassmere Rd, I managed to do some trickey-dickey Gorby type of parking. Then a wander down this Vale.
There is a tall Rimu that greets you on the right hand side, it maybe tall but it isn't fat. Apparently they can get almost as fat as the Kauri, don't believe me? Go to the Auckland museum, there is a slice of a Rimu hanging somewhere on one of their walls.
Initially coming to GZ, I was wandering off the beaten track and realised I was going haywire! So when all else fails, READ the hint! So that's what got me to GZ afterall. I haven't seen this type of cache before or the log paper Helen! Amazing what you can get on the Internet! Co-ords out a bit.. go by the hint!

What an awesome spot i never knew existed. And the bonus was that I managed to end up with so much manure for my garden that I picked up on the way that the poor old little scooter must have thought there was 2 up on the way home. Cheers V
