Came out to get this cache on Saturday but it was such a lovely day there were LOTS of muggles around with their boats so we had to save it for another day. Came back today... 6pm... a little drizzly... fairly overcast... no muggles around. Didn't take long to retrieve the cache... all signed and returned without incident. TFTC
We left Feilding on the 19th feb headed to Wanganui for the night then our caching adventure started at 8.05am got caches along the way to Rotorua Then next day caching on the back roads then today a great start a beautiful bush walk very well maintained and lucky for us only one muggles on the track. Nice quick find here once i realized my first thought was invorrect but then i turned and sae something that could also fit the hint signed the log and placed it back where I found it was nice and quiet here must be too early for the muggles today or is it because its a work day but its a stat day where we come from TFTC
Nice spot. A few muggles putting boats in the water today. Quick grab and sign. TFTC
Quick find. Few muggles about but stealthily retrieved cache and quickly signed. Nice view of the lake as well.
Pretty empty today. Few boat trailer a parked up. I spent a few minutes looking up and under the jetty for some reason. Then I found a more likely spot. T4TC
beautiful place to visit. managed to sneak in and sign while young muggle was swimming his dog closeby. went for a wee drive to admire the cute houses in this bay.
Cache number 3404 and day 84 of my current streak. I parked up nearby and wandered over. After doing a cache across the lake that was hidden the same I went straight to it. A muggle and child were on the playground so stealth was required. Once signed and returned I went for a little walk to enjoy the view. I just love these boat houses they make a pretty picture. Thank you for the placement.
Never been down here before. What a beautiful spot. Some people around but retrieved and put back with a bit of patience. Tftc
Just now catching up on my logs after a fantastic cruise of the Southern Hemisphere!
I was with a kayaking tour group who were too preoccupied with figuring out how to get into their kayak to notice what I was up to!
TFTC
AND the hot springs and glowworms were very interesting too.

The lake was VERY high today but not many muggles around so managed to grab and replace without too much trouble. Interesting area which I've never visited. TFTC.
07/03/17 15:50 Dot Day Cache. After yesterday, was my closest not found - and closest DNF - after several stops here in the past and never being able to find it, today I came prepared with a coffee & no rain. Only had to wait a wee while for two boaters to stop chatting... Interesting container. Thanks for replacing this, Cheers, GC.
Another good find on a bit of a trip away.
*Good weather and fun drive around.*

Picked up my 2nd cache of the new year on the day home from the glow party. Nice to finally have a smiley here. Tftc
We have launched boats here on many occasions over the years. Glad to find this cache when taking our boat out of the water this afternoon. Also retrieved the 100,000 geocaches in Germany coin.
We've had many family holidays based at Otaramarae and have rented 6 different houses over the years. Again this year we had a large extended family Christmas here with multiple visits across to the hotpools. TFTC

Replaced cache with a new container, still a small. Dropped "100000 Caches Germany Geocoin"
05/08/16 18:00 Bit frustrated as it should be there. Not under long flat thing or tall triangular thing. That I could find in the rain anyway. Cheers, GC.
On my way home to Hastings from visiting family in Te Puke, took this opportunity of finding some caches. Never been here before, lovely little bay, nice hide. TFTC Cheers.
Another dot day down. Had a half day of work and made my way out this way to get a few back country caches.
Arrived to find two men mucking around with a trailer so I waited them out and then made a quick find. Coords were spot on, as was hint.
Cache in good condition.
Thanks Noodlekidz

Easy as find ...sadly it had fallen from it home and was on the ground...signed and replaced..hopefully in the correct location..at least it better than on the ground ...thanks Noodleskids for great cache in a nice area
Nice little hide and luckily not too many muggles around during our visit today TFTC.
Man, talk about muggles, boats, kayaks, canoes, jetski's & a sailing boat all lining up to get into the lake for there time out.Frustrating but interesting watching the goings on.Quick find once the coast finally cleared. Thanks Noodlekidz,a good hide.
Nice quick find today in the rain. No muggles here today. I was here with a bus load of tourists off a cruise ship who have come over here for a guided kayak trip on the lake. TFTC
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.

A great one for moggy val to reach her thousandth at. Good to be with her for that moment. Thanks
Small detour off the main drag to let the dog out and find this cache. The boat ramp was very busy so had to wait a little bit for the boats that were coming in to be trailered. Also the GPS started playing up so headed back to the car to get the phone, and once I'd loaded up the cache and got back to GZ the coast was clear and I was able to hunt for the cache. Sat and had a think about the clue before starting the hunt and I put my hand straight on it. Took 2 TB's out and replaced with 2 more. Thanks for the hide and bring me here.
Beautiful bay on a hot sunny day and the place swarming with eager boaties --- but managed to nonchalantly wander past and grab this one
Thank you Noodlekidz
Found TB Rachelle and took "her" along with us for a ride

I love the placing of this cache, the wairua in this area is amazing! It took me a hot second to find this cache, only because I take things a bit too literally picked up the bugs and daisy geocoin. Will log it soon, tftc
Dot Day... Only four local hides to choose from. This was today's pick...
It's been many years since we've driven out here... We arrived to find the area almost deserted. That allowed for a very quick search. TFTC.
Please note: I left 3 TBs in this cache with very specific missions. Unfortunately, I've been transporting them for too long, hoping to find the right cache... As I am also working on the license series, the types of caches I'm finding do not always suit TB missions. Please move them if you can help! Cheers...

6pm - Arrived at GZ only to have boaties launching their boat, just to wait for them to go for a quick find for another Dot Day. SLTFTC

My son is back for short holiday from Perth - Thought we might go to Rotorua for the day and I could do some caches. We stopped for this one and even through it was pouring, it was a beautiful spot and a nice cache. Thanks for bringing us here but I think we may give up on the caching as the weather is getting worse. TFTC
I have to say I was a little surprised to see a message asking if I had any Labour Day geocaching plans. Having just completed 6 night shifts in a row - spending my 'sleep day' caching was momentarily daunting - common sense prevailed and a day in Rotorua was booked, priorities are clear
I hadn't checked my emails before leaving but after doing a quick search this is a cache that wasn't here before.... But how new was it? The blank log book suggested it was quite new indeed - what a pleasant start to the day - nothing better then an unexpected [FTF] @1140 - took the TB. Lots of cars and trailers but no muggles, yay! Cheers Noodlekids
Earlier this year a group of Tauranga based cachers started a Geocaching Bay of Plenty Facebook page. 59 cachers currently make up this closed group and have already organised various events thanks to the connectivity facebook provides. Please check us out if you haven't already.

We were watching this cache over breakfast, wondering when will the Davidson Clan make an FTF claim? By 1:00 PM, still no logs, so we took a leisurely ride over to the lake, only to find the FTF hunter from Tauranga had been there at 10:30 AM. Well done PP.
Thanks Noodlekidz.
