We managed to find it but only after standing on a great big ants nest. If anyone had seen us, we would have looked ridiculous vigorously swatting our shoes and legs. TFTC!

A nice early start with Neva2old to grab a couple of caches before meeting up with TheMongrel to continue or hunt along the Kep track, we had a fantastic day today with mostly nice quick finds. The weather held out and we only had a couple of sprinkles of rain. TFTC

19-Jun-18
Out and about with Parkacruz and eventually Themongrel to tackle a few more of the Kep series and a few others on the way. The rain held off although temperature gauge said 3 degrees at one stage and the seat warmers set to toasty we had a great day Tftc.

Thank you! Headed out with Photo-Play and papillon367 for a ride along the track from Bakers Hill to Wooroloo.
Straightforward find here. Cache in good condition.
This was an interesting place to visit. Pity people have used it as a tip.

10-Mar-18
Ooh, hello ants! Cache is in good condition, if a tiny bit damp. T4TC guys.

11-Jan-18
After such great fun and enjoyment from yesterdays walk, I set out today to continue the trek. I walked from Wooroloo to Clackline. Another hot day, but I took two breaks along the way at Wundowie and Bakers Hill to replenish. Arrived at Clackline around dusk to then realise there were no transport options to return to Wooroloo other than to walk back in the dark. Thankfully I brought a good torch to guide the way. I hope to complete the track all the way to Northam sometime soon. TFTC jasenjanine

04-Jan-18
Had to deviate from our list to refuel so I took a different route back to our destination & picked up a few more on the way. TFTC jasenjanine

03-Sep-17
It's Father's Day and I was happy to be able to convince the family to head out for a bit of caching. I had to find an area that would interest all so we headed out towards Wundowie.

Grabbed this one from the road. The log is a little damp

jasenjanine - SVKR_WA found your cache THE KEP - Pylon at 12:10:18 pm on the 3 Sep 2017. This find brings our total finds to 2267.

We appreciate the effort you have gone to in placing this cache for our fun and enjoyment.

11-Jul-17
Met up early this morning with ssclan with the plan to ride as much of the KEP trail as we could before the rain arrived. Armed with a coffee from DOME we arrived around 7am in Chidlow. With 2 cars we took the second to Wundowie and then headed back to Childow to start the ride.

Great morning with only the 1 DNF, arriving in Wundowie by bike around 11:45am, just as the drizzle set in. From there it was a tour of several of the caches around the town followed by a couple on the way back to Chidlow.

Ended the day with 55 finds, so a great day out. Loving the KEP trail, another 36 completed today but still plenty to go.

Thanks to Jasenjanine for this great series, and for the inventive puzzles and other caches around Wundowie Smile

11-Jul-17
Headed east early this morning to get some smilies on the KEP Track with Spatialriq. Also picked up some others along the way. Quite a successful day on the bikes with 58 finds and only 1 dnf.
Thanks jasenjanine for a great series and a couple of head scratching puzzles. Hopefully I'll be back soon to complete the rest of the series.

23-Feb-17
We planned a reasonable days caching today, going to Northam with a plan to come back to Perth via toodyay, never really got there today on all fronts! 8 finds and not much to rate except for some good caches by bristag and a couple of puzzles near wundowie.

We really got off track after the decent walks to collect the puzzles in wundowie and not being able to get to another due to road works we continued out to kellerberrin to try for the First to find out there, which I was dead keen on as my grandfather was born in that town. We were beaten by an eager cacher this morning so slowly trudged back to Northam after stopping into meckering to grab the multi which took a lot longer than it should as we weren't sure of our final co ords so double checked them and then spent ages admiring the building and then even longer trying to find the cache amongst the lead litter, but eventually found it at knee height after phoning a friend.

Got into Northam and the weather was disgustingly hot so grabbed a couple of caches and even tried for the 5/3 cache Iva Jane burrows but DNFd that even with some help from the CO! In the words of the CO jnj must have eagle eyes!

We found some other good caches today including the field puzzle clear prop and another instalment in richlinks Bed n breaky series which saw me coming into the prison the wrong way luckily no one spotted us and no shots were fired!

Thanks for a great day out! Hope to be back soon and hopefully have the d5 in the bag Smile

Out and about with Barnzy12. TFTH

15-Jan-17
After a morning bike race in Chidlow I had some time to grab a few caches before lunch. It was a hot day, but I was keen to nab a few while I was out this way, so I picked up where I left off with the KEP series.

This was the first of the day, and it was a quick and easy find here.

Thanks for the cache jasenjanine!

07-Sep-16
We have been tackling this series over a period of time and it was time to bite the bullet and get it completed .... So the geowife instructed me it was my time to complete it !!!!!
I packed the car with the old push bike and hit the trail early ......
It was dark when I hit Mundaring so it was out with the torch . Did I mention the weather was dismal !!!!
I managed to collect 81 and no DNFs.
Many different containers used so it was a pleasure to see a variety and the way they were used .....
I saw the history of the KEP track in different stages from the old water pipe to the railway sliding's / landings and the buildings close to the track from that era .
Sorry for the genetic log as I didn't take any notes but will comment on the ones I can remember !!!!

14-Aug-16
Got up early and while muggle husband played golf at El Caballo, decided to tackle as much of the Kep as we could today. Had a great time on a beautiful Sunday morning, the first for so long that wasn't wet. Great variety of caches that were well hidden. .Tftc, jasenjanine. Another great hide. Loved the container and location.

06-Aug-16
I headed out to this area with the mountain bike for a second crack at polishing off a few more of the Kep series of caches. The weather was getting better with bright blue skies now. There was still a lot of puddles along the way and no one else around. Very peaceful!

jasenjanine - jinta29 found your cache THE KEP - Pylon. This is my find #5562 and find #24 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

09-May-16
Sadly I did not have the time to ride the pushie along the trail today !!
But this was a random tour of the area and I had no idea that this trail existed [:o]
So I made do with a few short walks to find a few KEP caches Big Grin

Pylon, around here? Oh, there it is!! We spotted a tiny little frog about the size of a 20c piece at GZ, very cool! TFTC Smile

01-May-16
TFTH Wandered towards the pylon which we could not see at first. Geo H made another find! He also spotted a small frog! How he was the frog is beyond me, so tiny. we must have frightened the little thing making so much noise stomping the ground to the cache!

24-Apr-16
Up bright and early this morning to head to Northam with iluvtrekking mainly to do The Kep Track caches. All caches in the series located using a combination of roadside access or the geo-hubbies plying the treddlies down the tracks. A great day out and many thanks to jasenjanine for the awesome effort in laying this series down.

24-Apr-16
Richlink stayed over on Saturday night so that we could make and early, early start on Sunday morning.
So, with the bikes loaded we headed off in the dark to Northam, "The Kep" caches firmly in our sights. Some of the caches were accessed on foot from the nearest parking spot and others by bike. Although there was some heavy rain storms on Monday and we were wet through we found all of the caches and had a great couple of days finishing up with lunch at The Weir Hotel on Monday.

Congratulations jasenjanine, what a fantastic effort here. Razz

(chwiliwr team catch up log)

I decided that we were going out caching despite the weather so headed up to do some more of this series. Ended up quite wet at times but found all the caches without too much trouble in the rain. Some of them were even found without rain falling on us.

We started at the wier to finish of the few that we missed the other day when heading home and once they were done headed up to where we ended the other day near Wooroloo and continued on from there.

Cache logs were signed and caches returned as found.

Thanks jasenjanine for the cache.
