No luck for me. I didn't find your nano. It's obviously sitting in a tricky spot. Will keep an eye on the logs and come back when it's quieter down here. Cheers.
Obviously missing cache, no response to NM in almost a month, CO doesn’t appear to be active on site.
I will check this on my way home tonight. It went missing quickly after being replaced last time.
Had a real good look and came up short oh we'll there's always another day.
Had 5 or 10 minutes available before I had to head to the nearby Kilim for lunch. The previous nano here caused us considerable grief when we lived in Petone (but we got it eventually). No luck for me on this one today.
Lots of passing muggles today… me & Denomynator searched obvious and less obvious between them.
Found with Violet Butterfly., Astro Hunter, Wsndering Dragons and Mycro Man (Who found it). Glad to have this one off my list after multiple searches for it..
Cache # 3,937 - Hurrah! Came back today with no less than 4 extra pairs of eyes (Astro Hunter, Crystal Fairy, Violet Butterfly, and MycroMan). During the daylight it took the 5 of us about 5 minutes before MycroMan yelled out they had found it. And in a place I had looked multiple times. Very happy to get this one knocked off. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Consecutive caching day # 1,590

Did today with The Wandering Dragons, Astro Hunter, Mycro Man and Crustal Fairy. Too bad the wharf itself is closed, but glad to have this one in hand. Thanks.

After improving my hunting skills I've finally managed to find this cache after missing the first version. TFTC.
I spotted this had been reinstated after a long hiatus so I stopped as I was passing. Disguised in a HiViz jacket nobody paid any attention to me, but I found the cache almost immediately so I needn't have worried. Log signed and replaced - TFTC!
Was excited a few weeks back when I saw this re-enabled and ready to go. Even better, a couple of others had found it. So gave it a go tonight. Few people around, although enough to make it a bit uneasy at times. Rain came and went. And half an hour later, after expanding the area searched to 20 metres in most directions, I gave up - again. Officially a nemesis cache now...
Out for a drive after dinner with my son Tim. He asked if there was a cache nearby, and it turned out we weren't too far away from this one. Stopped and had a bit of a look around.
The cache is in good condition. Ours is the second autograph on the new log!
Thank you

I found your nano! Thanks to the CO for replacing this one so promptly once it was flagged. I missed out on finding the old one nearby because I left it too long, and thought I had missed out on this one too. So it was great to be able to make a quick and easy find today, with a pristine log sheet to sign. Bonus that there were hardly any muggles to dodge even though the carpark was full. I guess on weekdays this carpark gets used for commuter parking rather than beach goers.

I need to replace the container. Will pop out one night this week and take care of it.
Gutted as couldn't find because lots of officials for the Carnival watching me suspiciously....
#2577. I needed three caches today and the weather was horrible. So after dinner I decided to head over to Petone to pick up a few caches I had already solved and had left for a cold wet winters night. This one fitted the bill perfectly. The container here is lacking a lid but the logbook was still dry. Found a space to sign my name and then was rolling it up when a car pulled up very close by, with people waiting for someone from the ferry I assume. So had to hang around a bit then put it back in place once they were not looking. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find with SJT_NZ while doing a few chores in Petone. Another dot day down. Cache all dry but missing its top. TFTC
Nice find while out with Just-Lookin & EK.spygirl today.
Quick bit of searching and we had the cache located, this visit!
SL (LOG OK BUT CONTAINER NEEDS REPLACING) TFTC

Another look for this one and tmann finally put his hands on this little nano.

TregearP and I looked for this one when it was in its old location, and like others came away empty handed. We saw it when replaced, but for a variety of reasons hadn't stopped to grab it.
Today was the day. A quick find, it took longer to get the log back into cache than to find it. No top to the cache? But due to its location well protected from the rain.

Had attempted the precious cache that was here unsuccessfully.
Driving back to the airport I noticed this had been changed so made a quick stop. Soon had cache in hand but as other finders discovered the lodge is missing.
Log book is dry bit it may pay to check this and get a new lid installed.

I found half a nano! The log came first as it dropped into my hand as I brushed against the cache. Considering the wet weather the log was in good condition but how long will it stay that way with no lid?
Found! Was worried it wasn't here after all the DNFs but we managed to find it. The nano is missing Its lid though so is in precarious shape.
I didn't find my Nano! I spent quite a long time looking here but with no luck. I'll be back to take a fresh look and maybe get a bit more down and dirty. It sounds like there is more than one magnetic nano so I SHOULD be able to put my hand on it when I get to the right nook. Cheers!
We couldn't find your nano - was it undersized? has someone thrown it back? or had we reached our quota of caches for the day?
Quick find. Muggles in area stealth required. Fish board useful for this. TFTC
#2217 Found with friends on our way down to the beach for a swim. Tricky wee hide, took a long search and a PAF to find the little bugger hahaha. Not where I was expecting it. Used huhugrub's coords- might pay to update the ones on the cache listing as they pointed about 11m away. TFTC!
I remember exactly where the previous cache was and there was nothing there.. Eventually used huhugrubs co-ords and still absolutely no luck. Might be there, but with tons of dead paua the stench was overwhelming. Will be back if I see a few more finds. Did with Mycro Man.
Found on my way home. Didn't have a pen but I have attached a photo of the log. Will try to drop by to sign in next day or so.
I remember getting the old cache in this area. Almost dark when I decided to go for this one after getting some other Petone caches. Talk about a lesson in patience. Still plenty of muggles at 9.15 pm. While waiting for gaps I spied the likely places to search and soon had the container in hand. TFTC
Yay, we found it. Tried yesterday with no joy but the 6 year old mad geo cache came up trumps today! TFTC
I stopped by here once on my own but it was a sunny day around lunch time and every muggle and his dog were out! I had a quick look while 'reading' the fishing rules but didn't feel like I could give it a good try so came back at night with LCBuilder and eventually found. Still quite muggly though!
Greetings from an Auckland Cacher (but ex Lower Hutt resident). Am in town for Christmas seeing my family.
Took me a few minutes of hunting, then my muggle mother finds it the first place she looks :-p

Xmas-eve find, after work for the year had completed. there was a previous 'nano' in fairly close proximity to this one.
Had a good sense of where this one was, and it proved to be so. Nabbed between muggles passing by.
TFTC!

Came by late at night tonight with Downunder Wanderer. Used both original and huhugrub's coordinates, and 20 minutes later we gave up for the evening. Enough muggles around even at 10:30 pm to warrant some concern. Will try again sometime.
A lot easier to find than the cache that was here previously (that I couldn't get), although I had to rely on huhugrub's coordinates. TFTC
Called in here on the way home tonight. Second visit, last time was teeming with people, but thanks to the crappy weather tonight, there was hardly anyone about.
We found A cache. The one previously signed by boxhill. Not sure if that is the first or second cache. It's like tracing a family tree! TFTC

Nano, nano, nano, nano......
Sometimes nanos can drive me crazy. This one, well it induced a mild case of hysteria which was quickly alleviated by putting my hands on what was sought. Phew, relief.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

#7327. After the DNF on the day the cache was published, returned to Petone on this drizzly morning to have another look. Must have been blind to this cache previously. With the benefit of knowing that not one but two of these nanos had already been found, the chances of finding at least one of them would likely have doubled now. The place was all quiet in this weather. Went straight to the place that the other cache used to be … looked and felt all around … but still nothing. In the end, felt the way round other places in the vicinity … and then bingo. It was 9 metres away from the published coordinates, in a location that had been searched two days ago, but obviously missed. Did not think it was in a “similar” place to the other one we had found that used to be here. Perhaps, there might be another old archived cache that we did not know about.
The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log … following the footsteps of taybee, Infoferret and robnzh.

Came back here this morning and used huhugrub's coordinates, they are dead accurate. Found a nano within seconds in a place I had searched thoroughly on the last visit and took it back to the car to open. It was the replacement one, so I returned that and found the original a few seconds later, they're only centimetres apart. I have encountered the situation a number of times in the past where caches have disappeared and then been replaced - if the original had been there on the last visit then at least one of the experienced cachers who searched that day would unquestionably have found it. It's not a difficult hide in any way. Signed log, thanks for the cache and the shenanigans finding it...
Saw this cache when it was published but was in the Wairarapa for work for the day and decided that since I had already got a cache for the day it wasn't worth my effort to go looking for this cache.
Was in the area for work today and decided that since this cache was a drive by it might as well have a go and see if I can find it.
Arriving near GZ I was quite lucky today as the weather not being the best that it can, I managed to get the first car park in the parking area, that was a bit of a fluke I thought to myself. Checked my GPS and noted that it said that the cache was within 9metres. Decided to leave my GPS in the car and have a quick look at the most obvious spots.
Was quite surprise that I managed to find the cache within a couple of seconds in the first spot that I looked, since it was a nano I decided to take it back to the car and when I opened it I was quite surprise to find a blank log sheet. Very strange considering that there was a log already online. Oh well maybe I was a bit blind but never mind.
Glad to get this cache off my list of unfound caches as it can alway be a very interesting spot at the best of time to get a cache. Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTCTNLNSL.

1 December 2015 14:23. Two caches! So that's where the one in your car ended up Nic-Jay! Does that mean I can count this as two finds? Tempting though it was to 'souvenir' one of them for my own nefarious purposes, I replaced them both back where they came from. TFTC (x2?)

Was out caching again with Infoferret and call it to do this one. Infoferret find the cache I signed. so I recheck GZ and find the Cache that Yeetrees Find See Pic
Well I found a nano but did I find the right one?
Took advantage of the drizzly rain (the indications were from the puddles that it had probably been hosing down around here not long before) to get in while the muggle count was likely to be low. Had to wait for a couple of people who were having a chat to get into their cars, and for a fisherman to wander up the wharf but apart from that all quiet.
3TF on the log that I signed after Taybee and Infoferret. In view of the miserable conditions (which actually improved just after I left GZ) I didn't make any effort to find the other nano. Coordinates on the one I found were about 9 metres out.

It seems that nanos can be really tricky for me!
I shot out and checked on this last night after reading the DNF's. I could not find the original nano as it was not in the place I had placed it so I assumed that it had gone AWOL. I popped a replacement one there. I will pop over tomorrow remove the extra nano in the morning before work to avoid confusion.

At least 4 very experienced caches have looked now and all have dnf so hoping it is just a very sneaky little nano and not still hiding in the car
You can add me to the DNF list as well. Had a good look this afternoon, I had found the previous cache here and there's not obviously any similarly-hidden cache now. No luck at all.
