It keeps on getting stolen and there's going to be a lot more foot traffic in the area soon.
Coordinates quite off. Need to search other local trees. Was walking away feeling disappointed and found in a tree
Found it on the first tree we looked at. No pencil in the cache anymore, so BYOP until replaced. Thanks so much Gisborne Girl Guides!
The coordinates have been altered - these ones should be a lot closer. Hint remains the same.
Didn't take too long to find once I accepted it was not going to be in the tree at the given coordinates. Cache was a little wet but log was all good, in fact good and fresh. If you really need help check my spoiler image. TFTC. I didn't know this walk/cycleway was here.
No Luck here
This had been a planned trip in the company of HKCB to Whangarei but as the weather wasn't the best in the north we thought we would bring this trip forward and head over here to see what we could locate as neither of us had done a whole lot around this area.
Leaving home 7pm Friday evening and returning by midnite Saturday, 954kms travelled and approx. 70 caches located along with about 8 DNF's.
Thanks to all the CO's whom have put out these caches for us and completing the maintenance to keep them going.
The start of a new day and after a few hours sleep it was time to see what we could find with the real challenge being the new virtual as that was a primary goal for the trip. With the light up and no rain the day was looking good for a few caches.

This weekend had been booked into headed to Whangarei with Cats&Dragons for a bit of caching, but as the weather wasn't looking flash at all, so we decided to head East instead to Gisbourne as we both hadn't done much caching in te area. Leave home about 7pm Friday, and returning home midnight Saturday meant we got a fair bit of caching time in for the limited time we had. All up we found just under 70 caches in total, so a big thanks for all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches we found on this trip.
Had a couple of attempts at this one. As the coords are miles off, and the work done where we think GZ is, this one needs some maintenance.

Just had to try, but when I read that people found it on another tree a long time ago(ish), I gave up..

Hunted around in the dark on a late evening dogwalk but this looks like a daytime find might br more suited. Searched a few likely places but no joy. Will try again with some light.
Is this missing or didnt I look in the right spot...
I spend some hours walking around in Gisborne. I found 12 caches on different beautiful places. Great way to get to know a city. Another 3 caches I searched for but did not find. Tomorrow I am heading for Palmerston North visiting my brother. Thanks to all co for each and every cache

Looked in what we felt was the obvious place but unfortunately we weren't successful. A nice stop on our walk
Did not take too much looking but glad to have a taller sister with me to help. Thanks Liz
cache has been moved a few metres down as it kept on getting muggled. it's still a black screwtop
On the Golden Princess cruise from Adelaide to NZ & then home again. Today we are letting geocaching be our guide
Very quick find, log wet.

Drove past last night on the way back to the motel but didn't stop for this. Could've found this in the dark, this was an easy one. Tftc
Today we are doing a tasting tour on the bike around Gisborne. On the way to our first tasting we grapped some caches. This was the first one before we tasted the wines and beers....

Well this was a case of thank goodness we had cell phones as there was a muggle sitting under a nearby tree. We waited and waited pretending to text and finally he moved. The coast was clear and a quick grab back out, sign, back in and off we went. TFTC
Yay thank you for responding so quickly - leaders in GGNZ are awesome - a quick find on the way home to Whakatane. Tftc
Looked for it and gutted not to be able to find it- especially as I’m a guide leader from Whakatane here for the weekend. May be next time
No sign of this one today, likely gone missing. Third dnf for today . If the CO can check, I’ll be back in a week to try again.
Quick find but while signing in the geovan a ute pulled up behind and the occupants decided to have some beers right at gz. Had to temporarily take the cache and returned it later when all was quiet. Tftc
I used to be a girl guide, glad to know guides know what geocaching is. Quick find for us tonight. Tftc
Found tonight w/ sheahuhu . Log soaked through/destroyed from water - needs replacing. Tried to dry container out. Tftc
Found ok, but full of water and log very wet. Just able to leave a mark on it.

Off the Golden Princess cruise ship, and we hired a car so we could cache our way around town. This was our 3rd find for the day, and a quick and easy find of the day which is good when we are running on a time frame to be back on board.
Thanks for the fun

Number 3 of 13 found around the area today whilst on a day trip caching off the beautiful Golden Princess and number 50 of 76 found in our 6 days caching around NZ.
Easy find here - signed the log and onto the next.
Thanks for the cache.
G'day from Australia!

A quick easy find after waiting for some muggles to pass. The coordinates seemed pretty good to us. TFTC
Quick find here while visiting gisborne for the weekend for a wedding. Nice straight forward cache, thanks
Last one for today as the light is fading fast. No, it's not an apple tree is it? TFTC
#11991. We enjoyed seeing another part of the river, and made a quick find here. TFTC.
After a bike ride to Wainui this morning, we returned to our accommodation for a coffee and a leisurely lunch before heading out again for some more exploration of Gisborne, and to find some more caches, of course. The CANZ Gisborne cache was on the must find list for today as we have the info from all the other North Island caches in the series (apart from the semi final).
When we drove up, we were worried to see a man outside a nearby property but GZ was out of his line of sight. Nice location here and after finding the cache, we had a look at the river. TFTC.

well there we were walking along after a visit to the botanical gardens when I said I'll just stand in the shade of this tree and see if their are any caches nearby and bingo yours was sitting right next to us ! tfc
The cache certainly was not in an apple tree but we were able to pick the 'apple' anyway. TFTC
After waking up in Gisborne, we did a quick visit to the city and found this cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Portugal.
#9939, Found it with DroidCachebox!
We visited this cache during our trip through out New Zealand!
With our rental car, we explored the north island for 12 days.
NZ is a beautiful country and we really enjoyed our time here.
We hope to return one day and explore a little bit more!
Day 5 - Gisborne to Rotorua
The day started in Gisborne, where we explored a little bit of the city and looked for some caches. After that we visited many places along the route to Rotorua, mainly along road trough the Waioeka gorge and in the coast.
Thanks for the cache.
