Logs

Sadly I have to archive all my caches. I am not looking after them and I feel that's unfair for the other players who are trying to play the game.

26-May-16
Too many DNF's = needs to be checked out by the owner

25-May-16
As with previous logs, the co- ords had me on the road, widened my search and also found the suspected empty socket.

20-May-16
another DNF - owner needs to check this out

20-May-16
add another to the DNF list
No eyes could spot this today

06-May-16
Found the socket but no eye sadly

Well, we searched in the middle of the road where our GPS took us, and then around on both sides, but no luck. Wasn't much rubbish around, though - well done, Cookie!

13:00 We were onto this pretty quickly though afterwards Mr LHBfans seemed to be covered with "farmer's friends". Extracting the log was a bit tricky but we managed with the help of an item found nearby. TFTC Team Nurse

20/1/16. 6:59 AM. Cache #3421. Streak day #577.
3rd of 12 finds today - Grants Beach, North Haven, Laurieton, Lakewood, Kew, Kendall & Heron Creek.

Drove into downtown North Haven after finding "Walk the plank"; came to find this one, parking alongside where it's meant to be (although coordinates are actually for the middle of the road). I had a few minutes of unsuccessful searching, then read a few logs - aha, always bet on Cookie!

New search area, quick find. Camo was spotted and a little pulling was needed to get the whole lot out. I had to look around a while for a tool to extract the log; in the end my pen lid did the trick. All the while, muggles were walking past and occasionally commenting on the ripper weather as they pass me. Signed the log (starting to get a bit tattered) and took a photo of the log as well. Took me a while to roll it small enough to fit back in, but got there in the end. After replacing it, I headed off to my next target, "The Office". TFTC.

Found at 11:58 AM GAFF2 at a distance of 9 metres. Adjusted co-ords provided for your assistance.
We have been to this lovely area many times before as we used to look after a cache called "Break-The-Wall" which has since been archived. Hey - now there is an opening for one of the nurses to place a cache in a fantastic location Big Grin
Went around in circles for a while and even went across to the post fence as that was where my GPSr indicated GZ was Red Face Eventually we approached the area from a different angle (we always approach these sort of locations from the back as you want to keep GZ out of sight of passing muggles - but who would have thought that you can do the opposite Razz ) and then spotted the hiding spot immediately. Nice camo but when the log sheet was pulled out it was mush. So we replaced it with a strip of "write-in-the-rain" paper which should be sturdy enough to withstand the moisture.
Thanks TeamNurse.

In the area for our yearly holiday. Went for a walk out on the break wall and saw there was a cache nearby.

Strolled up to the area and found a likely area which eye knew contained the cache.

Geodaughter soon had the CIH.

The log was soaked and fell apart.
I replaced the log with a new one.
I have the old one if the CO wants it.

Heading south to find the caches Team Nurse have placed. We are keen to see what they have hidden.
After a bit of asearch we read that Cookie had given some other co-ords, using these we were able to find the cache.
Loved the cammo , found it quiet amusing. Have given it a favourite point. (I hope you did not collect this from one of your residents)
Thanks for placing this cache TeamNurse

*FTF* @ 0105 Had tried AGAIN on another cache, so came to check out this one. Being 'another day' there was the possibility (slim I admit) that someone else had snuck in and found it. While I was hunting around I thought it might have been: "Something beginning with 'R' (RUBBISH), or 'T' (TRASH)".
When I finally saw the 'cache' I had already picked up few glass bottles and other trash, but then went on to 'fill up' the back of the car - and got 'sprung' by a group of muggles - who gave me a 'High Five'. (At least I was away from the cache at that stage). The coordinates I took, again weren't averaged, but may help point others to one side or the other.
Cache dry, but the particular item had come 'unstuck', so it was hard to retrieve the cache with my 'fat fingers'. Nothing on the log sheet, so wrote the cache details.
Unable to bookmark this for the FDF Challenge, even tho it was found within 5 hours of being published - wrong day; but will add one for the Night Caching elective #6.

I had to leave a couple of glass bottles near the GZ, as they FULL of ants, and I don't need that in my car while I'm away O/S
