the hiding spot has been destroyed and a second cache has quickly gone missing, so archiving this cache.
No luck after lengthy searches both on our way up the track, and on our way back. I think the cache is very likely gone, after DNFs by three experience cachers (I'm dubious that Rebel123456 did actually find this one).
My GPSr was surprisingly indecisive here so I had to search a fairly wide area. There was one particular site that looked likely and seemed to fit with comments in previous logs but I could not track down a cache.
Found the container, but nothing inside it. Probably want to fix this . . .
We came to Methven and stayed at the Ski Time Hotel. Fortunately, I had time for a jogging loop in the morning and was able to search for a few caches.
This Cache was also hidden at an obvious spot but the lid of the container is missing and there is no Logbook any more. Cache needs to be replaced. Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany. TFTC GeckoJJ

Found this one pretty sharpish too as second on our walkway stroll, though the lid was missing so an even soggier logbook!
Spent another penny as it were. TFTC

My youngest son was doing The Woolshed Creek tramp with his friends. I provided the transport.
As the previous finders mentioned the container has no lid. The logbook is soaked. Perhaps someone could fix it? Sorry I didn't have a replacement.

Thanks. NZTravellers for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4970 for me.

Loving the walk with Tucki Trackers. This cache needs some repairs as it is lidless and full of water. TFTC
Found in the end after gps bounced all over the area on a geo adventure with team_macdonald TFTC
To tell a CO that maintenance is needed, you report it Needs Maintenance by making a NM-log.
Stayed the night at the Blue Pub,Methven and we're on a mission to find 50 caches in on day! #2 TFTC
Today I'm travelling from Methven via Lake Coleridge to Christchurch. It's my last full dat at the Southern Island. This was the second one. No lid, no log book, how is this cache still live? I put in a new log roll, but this one definitely needs maintenance.
I found the cache on a rainy day but it's not all there. Needs some maintenance.
After a wonderful morning at Rakaia we decided to head for Ashburton but spotted this short walkway leading to a canal at Methven. Being the Canal nuts we are we couldn't resist the walk and the possibilty of a few caches. Wasn't sure about the hint but cachers eye soon spotted likely hiding place.
Found it pretty easily once my phone eventually got me to the right spot. Didn't even have to use the clue! Room to deposit a world traveller once I took a little something for my son - thx!
Misinterpreted the hint at first so looked in the wrong place. Then the clue becsme appsrent and spotted it straight away.Tftc
#164. Good hint, pmuts spotted by GB Leader as I tried to locate GZ on the GPS, and signed the log despite the encroaching darkness. No. 8 for the day - breaking my daily record! Tftc!
Mrs KR dropped us off at the canal end and KR and I wandered along the series. A good leg stretch for the end of the day. Cheers
Ms KR dropped us at one end of the track, and then waited for us at the other. A nice straightforward find today. Cheers.
I was planning a wee raid to Ashvegas today, then noticed 3 new puzzles up Lake Clearwater way. A quick change of plan, and a text to Kiwi Moose checking on his keenness, and we were off, to a glorious part of the country.
Had a great day, and found plenty to keep us busy.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Loved this cache container. Completely missed seeing this on the way to the 3rd, so was happy to nab this hidden in plain sight! Mountains look magic today. TFTC SL
A friendly muggle and i were coming back from Pudding Hill to Darfield, so went a bit out of our way to find this hide and its buddy. It was a good thing I had her with me, as I just would not look where it was. My eyes kept sliding over it. Thanks for the hide.
Nice and easy find, obvious once you see it

After a couple of dnfs further up the road the other side of the rakaia gorge thought I better grab the last 2 of these to make up for it, only got this one in the end as the kids are getting tired. It's been a big day for them. 11 finds 2 dnfs 5 hours and 175kms. Nice place for a hide thanks. Tftc
While I had a bit of time before dinner, decided to pick up 2 if these walkway caches. Found a couple of trackables too that will be travelling to another part of the world. TFTC!

On way back to motel from this nice short walk collected this cache as well.
I found the container outside the hide, but without any other sign of being muggled, so I've just returned it into the geoobject.
Thanks for the cache, greetings from the Czech Republic!

Good to see some caches in Methven after it was quite neglected for a while. Today for us it was a short walk and a short bike ride. TFTC
7209. In Methven overnight while on a geocaching trip around Mid/South Canterbury. Decided to go for a walk and find the walkway caches. They were easy to find on a 5km return trip from our camp site. This one was very easy as the hiding place was obvious from a distance - nice hide. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
A pleasant walk until we met a rat running up the track towards us. It changed direction quickly when it saw us. TFTC
Nice little hide and laughed at the probably unintended decoy. All warm and cosy there, but have learned to hate those tree roots. A pigeon pair unexpected in Methven. A fav from us . Thanks heaps.
