I joined Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a trip to Sydney to drop in on another Celebration Event. This time in the Hawksbury. We used up the rest of the day doing a series of Challenge caches near Penrith, including a bonus First to Find, and then some of the EG caches surrounding the event location. A long but exhiklerating day of caching.
Another DNF for the day here.
Thanks.

Nice quick park and grab this time.
Last time too much traffic. Cache log needs replacing as still a bit damp and full of names.
Thanks Splitty Miller JJCC for the cache!

Found no problems, unfortunately the log is a casualty of recent rain. Nothing but mush
Great day of caching near the Hawkesbury River. Started in Ebenezer with the AL, unfortunately very unsuccessful as the location service on my phone was struggling and could not fix on the wp's I needed. Luckily I also made a good plan for other caches so the day turned out productive. Weather was really good, about 20 with a little breeze and nice and sunny.

Found the container broken. We replaced it with a small pill jar and placed the logsheet into a small snaplock bag. Hope this is okay. TFTC

Streak day 60.
Below is a blurb about us.
We are trying to get a badge from Project-GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to
get badges for adding photos to our found logs.
We Started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full time (living in a caravan), caching fits in well with this lifestyle.
It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone.
When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there to get the caches we want.

Easy little park and grab. The cache is in poor condition having been waterlogged and ravaged by the weather. Signed and replaced. TFTC

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Vineyard for a short three day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Avina Caravan Park, and planning on exploring the areas around Vineyard, McGraths Hill, Mulgrave, Windsor, Wilberforce, and Ebenezer. And being the final weekend of the Cache Carnival (ends Monday) we will be looking to maximise our score on the Friends Leaderboard. Today we were heading up to Ebenezer and then to Australiana Pioneer Village at Wilberforce. This was our 13th find of the day, and 53rd find of the holiday.
After visiting the Ebenezer Church and Cemetery, and finding the caches located there, we were now heading back to Wilberforce but stopped off for a couple of extra caches along the way. This was the first one, and a quick find at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The container's lid is broken, but the plastic bag is keeping things dry. TFTC Splitty Miller JJCC.

No response to 3 NMs in last 12 months a re sticky substance (melted gecko) and damaged container. Perhaps this one has run its course unless CO can fix.
#8920 - 14:55; I was headed north with Sol de lune to attend an event in the Hawkesbury and we stopped off for a few caches along the way. The day was very hot and peaked at more than 40 degrees, so the chosen caches for today were all located close to roads. This was one of the drive bys we collected on our way after we had passed through suburbia and were closing in on our destination. TFTC Splitty Miller JJCC
Heading up to the Hawkesbury area to attend an Aussie Day event with LuckyL10n and the plan was to stop to grab a few caches along the way. We decided to find a few in this area as we thought some of the GZ would offer a bit of shade, compared to other areas along the way.
Cache was found as per the hint and although the container is missing, the bag with the log and other bits and pieces is there and seems to be doing alright. It's certainly dry and easy to sign the log. I know I've seen a lot worse.
With the heat of the day, it was just about making the find and getting back to the car.
Thanks for this one Splitty Miller JJCC.....

I was on my way to a New Year's day event at the Tizzana Vineyard and decided to leave early from home so I could pick up some of the many caches in the area.
This one did not get me stumped! An easy find along a deserted road.

Another day OCW marj01. After a very early start from the eastern subs we arrived at Ebenezer at first light to commence the day. During the course of the day we visited 69 trads, 4 multis, 2 puzzle and 2 letterbox caches. With only a handfull of dnfs it was a successfull day, with the majority of the caches being found in a reasonably short time. Thanks to all the COs for hiding and maintaining their caches and providing us with a fun day. Cheers oldmorty.

A quick find, however a gel type swag left in the container has melted itself onto the log. Placed a new log, however would recommend a clean out. TFTC
TFTC! Cache needs some love, the cache guardian has melted all over the log (which is full..)
A quick grab. Container was in the sun and a toy sticky gecko was getting even stickier in the heat, melted almost. TNLNSL. Thanks splitty miller

On my caching trip out to the event for International Geocaching Day at Tizzana Winery I drove right past this one, and a couple of others without realising. After finding Charles Kemp Reserve I realised I had plenty of time so retraced my steps to look for some wood.
I found a place to park right near GZ but couldn't believe it, two vehicles pulled up opposite and had a chat. So I just had to wait them out. After they left (fortunately not a very long wait) I made a quick cache find, signed the log and visited some TBs then headed back towards the winery.

I saw this cache just past the turn off where I wanted go for the Ebenezer Church and the caches around it.
I pulled up within metres of GZ and saw the cache almost straight away, as it was half exposed.
I completed the formalities and returned it where found and placed some natural camo over it.

This one was a fluke, I just decided to pull over to see where I was heading next & looked out the window & thought - that'd be a good place to hide something. I opened up the app & there was indeed something hidden there. TFTC

Quick and easy find from Nurreg on our way home from completing some caches around the area. TFTC =)
We simply had to put this cache on the program for the day, as we knew we would be literally driving right past it on our way to and from the CITO event nearby. The cache was found in the only place it could be hiding. Container was retrieved, log was signed and all was replaced when that was done. Thank you to Splitter Miller JJCC for the series of caches in this area.
Another quick find while exploring the area. Driving up the road it was immediately apparent where the cache would be. I did have to wait a bit for some cars to pass before I could extract the container. The rest of the family decided to wait in the car, but my son likes to see the containers, so I often do the signing in the car.
Eeeek, this one would have been better to sign outside: someone had left something edible and sticky in the container (it looked like a bit of nougat or marshmallow stuck on the inside of the lid), and a lot of ants had made their way into the box. I managed to scrape the sticky stuff off the lid and blew the ants out of the box. I left my signature small wire dog and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Time for a nice drive around the area doing some caches. Thanks for bringing me here.
Having packed up the camper after two nights at Cattai National Park, we set out to find a few more caches before heading home.
It did not take very long to find this cache. Log was signed and we continued on our way home after a nice weekend camping and caching.

Today's in such beautiful weather I took a tour from Wilberforce to Ebenezer and took the ferry across the Hawkesbury back to Tizzana Road. I was able to look at old buildings along the tracks, taking a nice busch walk to enjoy the beautiful view of the river.
This tour was very nice and I have enjoyed myself very much
