Didnt bring a pen but my little helper describes this one as stupidly hard Great skill on this one. Very clever
I did the Adlab, then made my way up to the cemetery to look for this one. A nice place to sit and reflect for a few minutes before walking back to the car. TFTC
Great hide, very well done. Cache in great condition, log nice and dry. Thanks for placing this cache.
In the area for the Ad Lab and a quick ascent had me at GZ. Knicker it into the floor in first sweep, crouched, found and replaced after signing.A weekend away in Napier is in the cards for me this weekend, my daughter has been invited to a baby shower and asked if I wanted to come to Hawkes Vat for company, caching and general hanging out. Always keen for a road trip I booked a works bach for the weekend and we met up and headed over after work on Friday.Saturday dawned clear but frost free so a few samples were made here and there, now and then, with some DNFs weaved throughout. Many thanks to all CO s for their hides.
TFTC. Log full so I have replaced it. Cache too small to keep full original log. If CO wants it please massage me. pp
My first one of these and I wasn't expecting it. Near drove me round the twist looking for it in the rain. Love it I wish I had a favorite to give it
Genius hiding spot! Someone with some machining experience must have made this one!
Came up to this one whilst Tim did the ad lab, log dry but probably only enough room for another 6 or so signatures.TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
I hired a car and headed to Hawke Bay for the weekend for a bout of adlabbing. It's still morning I think (I have been on the move for 5 hours today, so must be still morning) and soccer is going big here. Cars in the car parks, along the roads, on the grass in the ditches. Well, one car in a ditch. The place is chocka!! So I went for a walk around this funny peculiar island, collecting adlabs along the way. Looks lie everyone who doesn't play soccer walks dogs.Half way around I found a track up and headed, well, up.Fairly straight forward find once I stopped looking in the wrong place. (!!)
#13,034. I am up on a work trip this week in Napier. We had finished by 4pm after a 7am start. So time to get a few caches before sunset and do the Adlab at this park. Drove up to the top of the cemetery and headed over to GZ. Found the cache after a short search. The log is very full and needs replacing. Managed to squeeze my name in there. Thanks nickhbnz for hiding the cache here. Shortest day of the year. Start heading back to summer tomorrow.
The rain has stopped and the sun has come out. Lovely spot to sit and enjoy the views. Log is full and needs replacing. Thanks for placing the cache
I thought this was going to be a quick diversion on my walk around Park Island but it was a longer and more circuitous route than I was expecting. It was all worth it though as the promised views did not disappoint. It seems a long time since I found a cache container like this; it works well here.
Great hide. Very clever cache. Don't have any idea no idea how the case was made
Another lovely view of the area.
Infoferret has a few days of leave to use up and asked if I would like to accompany her on a jaunt to Napier. How could I say no???
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache nickhbnz.

Went in search of this physical cache after completing the nearby Adventure Lab. Lovely views from up here.

Quick find with view of a large new development. Thanks nickhbnz! Last cache of a long weekend with D. 17 caches + ad labs, 1,418 ㎞.
Visiting my brother. Over from Melbourne. He had to work. I went caching and playing Pokemon Go.
Great spot here. Tftc

A nice quick find, first for the day. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised from Napier to Gisborne The weather was fine but humid!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Reading of the mass grave for those killed in the Napier quake made me thankful. Times change and there's a separate grave for each person killed in the 2011 Christchurch quake. Thanks Nickhbnz
Visiting from South Australia, grabbed a hire bike and hit the trails!
Quick find. Great view!

Over this way for a soccer tournament and what a lovely part of the country it is.
I had a couple of hours spare so thought I would take a walk around. I love cemeteries, could be a weird thing to say but I find them so interesting. I find GZ is a place to reflect. A beautiful sunny day to watch the world go by.

Picked this cach up while completing some Adventure Labs in the area. Clever hide. TFTC.
Out doing the adventure lab and had taken a wrong turn bit had the nice surprise of finding this one.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Napier … decided to head out & have a wander around the Park Island/Orotu Park area … picked up this cache along the way … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,682 for us.
Fantastic wee spot. Didn't realise how much you can see from here until we sat down. Thanks for the cache!
Wandering in Wairarapa between Easter and Anzac day. Today I was caching in Napier with a great company of alunb.
No wonder why previous visitors here had a DNF. We found it on the ground and replaced as per intention.

We wondered if it had been knocked off by accident, and then tramyard found it on the ground, so all replaced now, TFTC
Finally remembered a pen. Always a special walk up here. Thank you for the cache
In Taradale for a dahlia show, had time to find some caches before I help to set up. Thanks nickhbnz for the cache.
Awesome cache! Very clever and tricky! This was a joy for our 10 yr old to find. Thanks so much for planting
#1832. Day 11 of our (GB Leader and I) 12 day Hawkes Bay odyssey to watch grandsons play cricket. Then on Saturday, after grandson #1 finished his tournament, it was off to Gisborne.
First time for me in Gisborne for something like 35 years. Shame my arrival coincided with Cyclone Cody and a tsunami. On Wednesday day, it was back to Napier for grandson #2’s tourney.
Back to Park Island today to play two more games (won them both) and time to finish the AdLab I started last week. This cache is along the WP route, so a no brainer to grab while I am here. Sad to see the kids’ graves nearby. Certainly a great view here. Nice to be second to sign a brand new log placed by Geckoh.

Struggled to understand why we couldn't seem to locate this one, as we were pretty sure what the cache container was. We were about to give up when Mrs Geckoh spotted it on the ground. The logsheet was full, and fortunately we had the van close by so were able to put in a replacement sheet. TFTC

Found on our cache trip to the sunny Hawkes Bay, gathering points for our Climb the Peaks. As we approached we just knew that car was parked right where we wanted to go....but that didn't stop us from sitting and enjoying the view. Heavens knows what they were doing, but they soon moved off leaving us to retrieve the cache, and another good hide! Found with FMZ.
Still a couple of Peaks to climb, I feel another HB trip coming on! need more points!!
