Logs
Stopped by tonight to check cache and replace log sheet but couldn't find my own cache on well time to archive will maybe replace with something different.
Slowly making our way home grabbing a few caches along the way. GPS led us straight to the hide so quick find even though it was well hidden. Log is full and needs replaced TFTC.
Tried this morning with my little cousins but the fear of spiders deterred 2 young girls so we had to leave it. I went back this afternoon with my brother and finally found it! TFTC
Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
Cache number 3382. Parked up nearby and checked the obvious but had no luck. I then had a thought that related to a find in Nelson earlier in the year. I slowly worked my way along until I felt the little thing. Managed to squeeze my initials in. I had just returned it to it's hide when 2 muggles came around the corner. Talk about timing. thank you for the placement.
Eventually found the little Nano. Log is totally full. Also did a bit of CITO round here.
Ran our fingers along but didn't feel a nano. Lots of spider webs and grime. Too hard if it's pushed up higher than that so gave up.
Its Mothers Day and as I had done the dutiful son thing yesterday I managed to have a free day, so with permission from the better half I had a morning free (with a promise to be home mid afternoon). So with that in mind it was time to hit the area and see what I could scrounge up in a bit of a clean out between Waihi and Te Puna without too much work.
So Setting out at 6am (slept in) this was my twenty ninth for the day as it had always been on the to do list. Thanks to all the cache owners that work to make this an enjoyable day out in the Autumn sunshine. All logs signed C&D or Cats&Dragons.
I recall when there was only the one cache in this area which seems so long ago. Having collected the caches in waihi that I was time to work my way down here. Only time for a couple of more caches as time is fast running out. Nice quick find as had the area all to myself
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

Had to laugh at Breeunits attempt to leap the gate to access this cache, glad no one else was about to witness it (the joys of early morning caching). After taking the long way round GZ the cache was soon located. TFTC

Aaaggghhh webs and spiders. My pet hate. Lol but I got through it. The log sheet has room for one more sign. I would usually say tftc. But I hate spiders! Lmao!
This one took a bit of time as well and while we might have a spider name Mrs S was reluctant to put her hand in there so it took us a while. Mr S used his secret weapon to spot the cache. Lots of spider webs in there.
Some stupid young hoon on a very noisy motorbike came racing up the road, into the park, around the playing field, up the bank, stopped to talk to a young lady in the car park, then did another race around the field before screaming off down the road. Was that really necessary. Just as well the ground is dry or the field would have been all cut up.
Thanks Davidson clan. Another smilie in the area.

With some delay logging this cache which I found quite easily in my holidays in NZ. I am living in French Polynesia after several years in NZ. So it is always nice to come back for holidays and meet friends and geomates.

I waited till the evening because surely there'll be a heap of new caches listed today or tomorrow! But I needed my cache-of-the-day, something the CO can relate to! Anyway, i was keen for a drive so off we went (daughter, bellbox and geo-dog for company).
Found this one after a bit of searching. All good! Tftc

Out caching with iammrwalker, kiwis69, 11hpg11 and HKCB to mission it around and about Tauranga.
This one had our group looking and looking but luckily kiwis69 couldn't bamboozle me trying to find this and log before the others noticed

Joined forces with HKCB, 11HPG11, Kyb3r and iammrwalker for a caching splurge around Tauranga. We had an earlier than usual curfew for today's caching mission, so we set off from the Tron at 5am to maximise caching time. Great fun with lots of laughs and lots of entertaining tales as is usual on our group outings and even better to be rewarded with so many quality hides: we were most definitely very impressed by the effort made by BOP COs.
We were thankful not to be here after dark, looking at the evidence on the ground nearby, although it did add to some very colourful conjecture as to the likely scenarios that contributed to the detritus! Didn't take long to find this sneaky little hide with a 'where would I hide it' approach. Q is, how long till I tell the others I've found it??! TFTC

Out and about with Kiwis69, 11HPG11, Kyb3r and iammrwalker for a bit of a mission over in Tauranga. With caching time limited for a few of us, a half(ish) day leave pass was given from our respective muggle partners. With a set in stone time of 2pm to be back at home to maximise caching time a 5am start was agreed on. Still we managed about 6 hours of caching time and managed to find around 35 caches throughout the morning.
We all enjoyed the day out, and I think we all agreed it was a little long between drinks. A bonus for the day was the high level of quality caches we found. A big thanks to all those CO's for making it an even more memorable day. We signed the logs as HOAC, a group name we go by from time to time.
We all had a slightly different idea where this one could be hidden, but it was Kiwis69 that came up with the goods. Thanks for the hide.

I found this cache along with HKCB, kyb3r, Kiwi69 and 11hpg11, we signed most of the logs HOAC (Hamilton Over Achiever Club) and a couple with an abbreviation of our Geocaching handles to save on space and time. We came over to the Bay from Hamilton, leaving at 5am and getting back to the Tron at 2pm to appease our respective partners. I managed to nab about 35 geocaches on our quick trip. We had a great time, shared some unforgettable work stories and some very humorous cringe worthy innuendo. The Bay has some incredibly creative CO’s and we were really impressed with the quality and variety of hides.
Wow if the walls of the Scout Hall could talk I bet they could tell stories that would shock, entertain and and bemuse-and that's just from last night as the evidence we saw around the parking lot would suggest. Kiwi69 has put her fingers into more tight spots that anyone I know and managed locate this tricky hide while the rest of us were looking iin all the wrong places.

Out and about for a quick 'half day' of caching today with a good sized group of Hamilton cachers. We were time limited so left at the usual 5am before calling it a day at 12.30pm which meant we could be back in Hamilton by 2pm and I think we just scraped in. A good days caching none the less and managed to knock off a few great quality caches. Today we signed the logs as HOAC as a group name, which consisted of HKCB, Kiwi69, Kyber, Iammrwalker, and myself. Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements which enabled us to have a great morning in Tauranga.
We divided and conquered this one. We all picked where we thought it would be, but Kiwi69 was the one who came up with the goods. A quick hide here, in a nice quiet park although looks like it might be the local nighttime park up spot maybe?

Found on my second visit - the first was a cagey one as there were people parked up in the nearby carpark and I didn't want to arouse too much suspicion. No one here this time and I was able to be a little more systematic in my approach and the cache was soon in hand, signed and returned.

I let my fingers do the walking and we were soon signing this one. No one about today, lucky for us.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and new cacher, Loopy HD... A warm, wet Easter Friday showing a newbie how we do it.
The writing was on the wall... The interminable wet weather must have kept most sane locals indoors. The park was quiet today, and we had uninterrupted opportunity to search ground zone. This was our newbie's first view of a nano... TFTC.

Part of today was to pick up a young lad wanting to do caching and help show him the ropes. With Squirrel on board and a combined total of nearly 10,000 caches between us this should be okay. Arranged to pick him up at 1pm but as usual the Squirrel & I got a little side tracked.
New cacher handle name (LoopyHD). Quick chat and he tells us he has found 2 caches only (very first one was with the help from Mrs Gap at the beginning of the month) and couldn't find 2 others that he had looked for. So we headed Te Puna way to help with his caching skills. I will only list the caches that we found and hadn't logged.
Welcome on board Cody (LoopyHD)
2.50pm - Mrs Fap and I visited this cache a few weeks ago and could not get it as there was a rugby match going on and a few guys were having a beer right beside cache so left it. Back today to a great little hide and like the words on piece of wall art work. SLTFTC

#50 Had a little Scout around for this one, or should I say a Kea look.
Happy find for my 50th cache.

Out for some fresh air with Tigatat2 visiting old haunts. Familiar with the location of this cache from past interests. Soon found, signed and returned. TFTC
What else to do on a wet day but go caching it the wet. Nice quick find in an area I am very familiar with. Standing on sideline watching rugby and more rugby. Good strong club here and the floor boards shake when the haka is performed. Thanks for the cache.
Someone has sent some time painting this colourful building nice camo hide...had to find quickly as it was starting to rain no pressure...find or get wet..great sports area tftc☺☺
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.
Nice hide, nice spot

nice Saturday afternoon geocaching
this could of been a hard one - but the GPS took us straight there and the Cache just seemed to jump out at us

This was our last find of the day before heading home back into Tauranga. We were very appreciative of the afternoon shade along the side of the building. Thanks for the placement.
On our way around Te Puna today, we headed to this one. We had the place to ourselves so we set about searching for this nano. I had an idea on how this one would be hidden but couldn't seem to detect it as we went around and around in circles. Finally, it was found in a place i thought id already looked but obviously not carefully enough. Glad to get it, TFTC!
As we approached we had a uh oh moment as the park was packed with people. Lucky gz was away from where the people were so we could search. Didn't take too long to spot the cache. Tftc
Well I knew where I would put it but that did open up the options - didn't really want to feel there so had a little look and then a more proper look but nothing -reread cache page and logs but still nothing so I will own up to PAF. Only to find I was completely on the wrong side and moved over to where I had been no where near looking. Quickly felt it and checked the GPS 18m. I was just using my phone but it is usually pretty good. Lucky it was quiet here today with no one around. TFTC
Little bit of careful feeling around,Murphy's Law you always start in the wrong spot. All good, thankyou guys.
Didn't have my GPS with me so the phone would have to suffice. It had me circling the area for a while before settling but coords were also 5m out for me.
When I saw the cache publication I thought it was in more of a bushy area for some reason so was surprised when I arrived here.
Cheers DC!

A quick find by Mrs Splatty who chose the right side of the structure to search.
As it happens I was out scouting this location 4 weeks prior to the D Clan....

Today was a dot day and we enjoyed a drive out to find this cache. GZ seemed an unlikely place when we read the hint so we directed our attention to a more likely place and Mrs nzkites made a quick find in a place that Mr nzkites had had a mans look with no joy. Thanks Davidson clan for placing caches for us to find.

There had been a little online banter after receiving a heads up on a cache placement here and trying to find it prior to publication - however without co-ords, a description or any hint you start to realise how big this park really is... 10 acres aye? Better get to work ...
I found your co-ords about 5 meters off but once you get to the published co-ords it's pretty obvious where the cache is gonna be. Nice to have a fresh log too, heaps easier to get out! I date & time stamped this [FTF], my second for the day, nearly my third if it weren't for Noodlekids haha
Cheers again DC
Earlier this year a group of Tauranga based cachers started a Geocaching Bay of Plenty Facebook page. 59 cachers currently make up this closed group and have already organised various events thanks to the connectivity facebook provides. Please check us out if you haven't already.
