We have moved bit far from this and we think the best thing to do now is to free up the location for another hide. Good Bye!!!
Knew exactly where to look as found this one previously but couldn't find today
Love war memorials as my son was in the Air Force. Took a bit to locate. Tftc
It sure was nice to rest our weary legs here. Took a while of searching, but soon in hand. TFTC
NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 7
Having had a fantastic day on Browns Island on Sunday, another member of Team Done by 1 (RustyNZ) and I arranged to go looking for the Crayola 64 series. Having completed it by mid-afternoon, we decided that neither of us fancied battling peak hour traffic so would do some more caching around this area. It's been about 10 years since I was last here in Waiuku, and this is my first visit here as a geocacher.
We were now caching after dark and having to rely on using our phone torches for searching, but we both still wanted to press on with a sort of rugged determination in spite of our tiredness.
This was another cache that R had found on a previous visit, so I parked up nearby and dashed off to grab it. No problems to report, and my name was soon added to the log, before we headed off to the next cache on what would end up being a really long, but worthwhile day. I had my best single day ever with over 100 finds
Thanks for placing this cache.

A nice quick find thanks. A nicely refurbished area.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured around Waiuku area and found some new spots to us. It is a hot summer so far!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After not finding the lemon cache within easy reach of this one, decided to go for this before the sun set. C-Geo was spot on. Easy find, although Kittycat432 gut decided it was on the other side of the road, I followed the instruments and came up with the goods. Took a bit longer than anticipated as there were muggles across the road so we had to be very deceit. As part of our "sits and sign", we decided to get up and look around around as well, instead of just walking back to car, after getting up. TFTC
With rebel98, he had found this one previously, but as it is a harisree cache we knew we had to come and find it again today.
As others have done I pushed it in to far, so with my pen gave it a shove, and it came out the other side, ready for me to retrieve the cache and sign the log.
Thanks for the hide, and fun find for us today

On a work trip to Auckland . Decide to take a detour to Waiuku. It is such a beautiful day to visit this small town.
Found this cache was missing for a while and decided to replace with CO approval
Please watch out for muggles and keep as you found.

See my previous comment but wanted to add - the poppies are spectacular, colours amazing- so it was worth the stop thanks
Hay just a reminder about your cache my brothers friend took it and lost it so you will have to take it down. OR we could make it up to you and make a new one. message me when you make up the decision apologies
Took a seat as suggested then took a second and then a third. Came up with the goods on the third attempt
out with agazo and alunb today, signed log as ana, a quick find but needed a tott to help us, tftc
Out caching today with Agazo and nufrat. Didn't take long for nufrat to spot this one, TFTC
Awesome easy to find but was pushed in a little too far so took 10 minutes to remove but found logged and replaced
Out on an early morning walk, decided it was about time I got this cache, easy find and retrieval, came prepared with tott, TFTC.
Day 1 on my little weekend Pukekohe escapade - no real plan, just chipping away at the area.
This cache was found easily and without fuss - just needed to give it a little nudge with my pen in order to get my fingers on it. Cheers HariSree, TFTC

In the area with Jag50. A nice quick find before heading for a coffee at the quirky cafe just along the road
In the area with Merlot58 - one of us went high and the other went low. Cache was soon spotted from below and extracted from above with a natural TOTT.
Found it on a family outing, the wee one even left a gem in the “hidden treasure” for the next person!
This was my first one! Great fun! I didn’t have a pen to write in the replacement log though!
Quickly stopped off here since this is the “most southern” Auckland cache.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Quick find with cyclical caching and tramyard while passing through today. TFTC
Team work with CyclicalCaching , funkymunkyzone and Gorbygorbachov during caching Awhitu Saturday trip. 【T】【F】【T】【C】
I spent the morning driving around the peninsular picking up a few caches along the way. I had to use something to poke it out but got there in the end, TFTC!
Nice one. That size of case and magnet sure does make it a challenge to retrieve.
Back with new container & logbook.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Needed longer than our tool. But got there in the end. Nice to sit and contemplate the sacrifices or forbears made. Tftc
Bit awkward to get at, but JutyBug had his trusty, makeshift multi-tool, so we managed fine! Nice spot here. TFTC
Spent ages trying to retrieve the container but ended up being able to retrieve and replace log without getting the container

Nice quick find on a day out with KiwiPeats. Couldn't reach the cache so didn't sign the log book. TFTC.
Nice easy find on a wet day in Waiuku! Log books are nearly falling apart though so could do with some maintenance
A nice quick find but we just couldn’t get it out of the hiding place to sign the log. We tried fingers, sticks and our pen but the bolts just got in the way whichever angle we tried. Will send a photo to CO as proof of find. TFTC
Out and about taking advantage of a free afternoon to find hides around rural south west Auckland. It's nice to blow the cobwebs away with a drive in the countryside. I don't think I have been to Waiuku for 6 years, so time to find the caches placed since my last visit. I parked up, crossed the road and entered this little park. Cache was found in the first spot I checked. Took a moment to check out the monuments before heading off. Cheers for the cache placement!
As previous finders have said the cache was tightly wedged into its hiding spot so we struggled to extract it but after a few minutes, and with the aid of a nearby stick, we managed to retrieve it.
We have re-hidden it so it is a bit more accessible.
Nice memorial, thanks harisree for bringing us here.

Found it, but cache was stuck so tight in it's hiding space, I wasn't able to get it out. Found together with Greenkiwikids. TFTC
After a successful FTF hunt out near South Head, we headed back into Waiuku to find a few more. We parked beside GZ and could see the cache almost immediately. One of us took a tool and went round to retrieve the cache, but was unable to extract it from its hide. The other got a longer tool out of the van and soon pushed the cache free. Thanks for showing us this memorial.
Plan for this weekend to visit Awhitu Peninsula Never been in this area before except Waiuku.
Met up with fellow cachers from Huntly on Friday night and travelled up on Saturday morning. Plan to start at bottom and work up.+ Cachers were signed with the team name HRT being first letter of our home towns (Huntly, Rotorua, Tauranga)
Generally caches were good but some a little damp, others requiring reading descriptions, hints and other cachers comments to make finds.
As the day went on we realised we would have to return the next day to complete, so this made it a Saturday & Sunday mission.
Weather was great and some amazing sites visited.
Wish to thank all CO's for caches placed. Great trip. SLTFTC

For convenience, we group signed the logs H(untly) R(otorua) T(auranga) (or P(apamoa), depending on who signed and how heat-addled we were at the time...) We've been planning a raid on the Awhitu Peninsula for some time, with a view to clearing the area of caches... It's time to execute this mission.
Day Two: The hint helped to narrow the search down. A quick find... TFTC.

After visiting the lighthouse, we drove through Waiuku to look for this one. Not too hard to find because of the hint.

A nice easy find. Couldn’t sign the log as did this spur of the moment and didn’t bring a pen. TFTC
My wife works for a company whose products are especially popular at Christmas time, so as I start to slow down, she gets busier and busier. To ensure no body woke up Christmas morning disappointed I was asked to make a delivery on behalf of her employers to someone in Waiuku. Since I have never been to Waiuku I said sure knowing I was going to be able to grab a few Geocaches along the way. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining the caches I found.
Spotted it quickly but struggled to remove it from its hiding spot. Its a tight fit. Got there in the end.

After doing the Icon series today with urbangypsy and Jard, it was time for a very nice ice cream at Pokeno! The usual spot there was very busy but we found another shop selling the same ice creams so spent some time there before heading up to do this cache which is now part of the N.E.S.W challenge by McArgister instead of FMZ's cache which he has now archived. So after refreshing ourselves, we came here and parked up pretty close, I got out my magnet which proved pretty useless so resorted to another method for the retrieval which Jard came up with and in seconds we had our selves a cache to sign. Then we basically headed home. Jard wanted to see his grand daughter tonight before too late and I was happy to get home and have a well deserved wine! Thanks harisree for the cache.
Did a slight? detour with Gorby and Jard to start the N,S,E, & W challenge. Have driven past this spot on several occasions but have not visited this peaceful well maintained spot to honour the dead, thank you for making me
urbangypsynz, Gorbygorbachov and I had been down to the Waikato successfully picking up all the Icons Series and on the way home, did a wee(?) detour to come and collect this cache to start the N,S,E & W challenge. Never been here before and a great wee memorial. Thanks for bringing me here.
Out for a great days caching with Agazo on a sunny day. Nice interesting place for a cache. Thanks harisree.
Out in the general area as there were 3 new caches published this morning. After finding those with thejaybees we stopped for some coffee and foodfuel before working our way around the local area for some more caches.
Was grateful there was a small stick relatively close by for this one. Log signed, cache returned, stick left (not too close nearby) and we were on our way.
Thanks for the cache.
