Thanks for the find, drove up saw a likely spot but then read clue and tried a different location to match clue... Nope not here, let's check the spot I saw while still in car...ah found it.... unsure about the clue, didn't make sense so maybe in the wrong placement? No flowers here todayOut and about for the day geocaching with soflo100
Thanks for the find, found with Shellflo. No flowers today, not sure about the clue!
Side trip out to this one, no flowers today, but a cache was found, thankscapperzPremium MemberProfile photo for capperzCaches Found17529Found it Found it05/17/2024DNF redeemed part 2. Parked in the lay by and headed to GZ which was a shorter version of my last visit. Got the host right and wandered around a few times before checking the ground. Found a pink pen identical to mine and then spotted the cache, ah thats what it is. Added it back as per COs recent note, all good here nowTook Friday off for travel as Im heading up into Taranaki for a couple of days out New Plymouth way. The last few times Ive visited Ive been time poor and have done Bulls- NP-Bulls in an extended driving day and been dead beat when I got back. This time I gave somewhere to stay so can enjoy my journey there, my time there, and the trip back. Also less pressure when searching and the Autumn weather is being kind too. Redeemed a couple of DNFs created a few more and had a nice time. Good to complete some Ad Lab series too and the Taranaki region COs are thanked for their hides and maintenance.
Greetings from England. We were staying in Eltham with a cousin whom I met for the first time. We walked around the town picking up some caches. A long search here as he would appear the cache is not placed as per hint. TFTC
With a few of us looking at the wall a likely spot became apparent quickly, tftc!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)…
Auckland Anniversary: We’ve escaped the atrocious weather that has smashed the top of the North Island. Hopefully things won’t be as rough down the country. We’re hoping Taranaki will have enough sunshine and blue skies for our visit…
We tried to fly by the hint here, but our interpretation was a bit astray. We eventually understood part of the clue, but the rest didn’t compute. No matter, we soon noticed something that seemed out of place. Thanks thatsneat. TFTC.

Came across a dodgy pair of chaps whilst looking for this one – they were just departing and gave us the heads-up that cache was still in place. Thankfully, a very quick find and then we were off out of town toward the smilie series. TFTC

Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
nothing hard about this one, didn't have to count as something made it very obvious, tftc
Thanks thatsneat for the cache. It’s #1385 for us. We found your cache on 15 February 2021. Nice quick find. Flowers not so flash anymore sadly.
A nice and easy park and grab. No muggles were around when searching so it was a quick and easy find.
This was our last cache in Eltham for the time being. Off to Hawera now for dinner and more caches before heading home to Whanganui.

Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today is Stratford to Whanganui. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Was passing through Eltham and the weather was perfect to grab a few geocaches. Nice easy park and grab, the perfect spot for a geocache.
Not many flowers today. I went after dinner so no sign of muggles. Found my first ever trackable. It'll be travelling up North with me tomorrow
(# 5694). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 2 was to drive from New Plymouth to Hawera then back on home directly. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
The flowers are staying inside today due to the rain. Quick snag and tag here. Cheers.
Day 5- Wednesday 18 December. Hawera district again including Eltham and Manaia.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Not much flowers today. It's rainign heavily, so maybe they all went home to get out of the rain.
Day five of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is Hawera to Eltham - oh yes, it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Upon arriving at GZ, I followed the clue and no cache. After a while I got some help from the people living at the house, and she mentioned about the grass overgrowing on the square holes. Luckily she joined in the search and it was eventually found, but not as per the clue. Put it back to where it should be. TFTC.
A good quick park and grab on a street that I would never otherwise travel down. Thanks.

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Out today grabbing some caches with the aim of getting enough caches to get the World Turtle souvenir and also getting some caches that will help with my main goal
Nice and easy park and grab
Thanks for the cache

#9617. A good day to explore more of Eltham and its surrounding areas. Fortunately GZ was pretty quiet when we visited. Found after a bit of a search. The log book was quite wet, and we tried to dry it out in the sun. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Took me a little bit of effort to find this cache the bulbs are just starting to sprout, so I'm sure in a few months this wall will look amazing!
Today I'm On my way from New Plymouth to Taumaranui, the long way via Wanganui picking up caches on the way! A group of us are meeting up in Taumaranui tomorrow to take a jetboat down the Wanganui river! Yippee! should be cool (in both senses of the word). But first had to do a couple of hours work in HAwera, which is why I was passing through Eltham

Got met by a very friendly dog who wanted lots of love. Found while on a Mother's Day adventure with Curlz. TFTC
This is a terrible late log but it is only on this, my next trip up to Mother in law in New Plymouth, and checking out caches to locate on the trip, that i see i have not logged this one My first visit some 18 months ago yielded nothing but today armed with finders hints etc i widened my search thought a little more out of the obvious and hey presto it was there! tucked in exactly as the hint said but not what i intially thought it must be! So thank you for this cache and another smiley face!.
After spending a couple of hours in Hawera, it was time to head back to New Plymouth. Stopped in Eltham to grab a cache on the return trip. Container was quickly located and logged. Retrieved the travel bug and will move it on.
Cheers.

Hint didn't help at all as we didn't know where to start. Thankfully had eagle eyed children who were hunting everywhere and we eventually got it. Tftc
Another summer visit to locate the unfound caches and turn them into smilies. Soon located this one with the help of a previous log. Sneaky hint for this one TFTC.
On our way to new Plymouth for Christmas with the in-laws stopped in Stratford to pick off some more. Nice quick find here thought it was going to be a lot longer .tftc and another smiley
I spent a few minutes here before I tracked down the cache. Like some others, it seems, I didn't correctly interpret the hint to begin with. I also didn't have access to some information in earlier logs that would have been helpful.
Although the coordinates were accurate, we spent some time looking for this cache, before reading a few previous logs, and working out the correct interpretation of the hint, though even then it still took a wee while to find. TFTC
Took the long way home after the Mega. finding lots of caches in new areas. TFTC

Great container = secure and watertight

Out and about on a great mid winter morning, not a breath of wind and the sun is shining, so lets go geocaching! Been out the boonies picking up a few caches and as IO was passing through grabbed this one in passing. As previously noted, no where near the hint, but found anyways. Thanks for the placement thatsneat.
Cache found far from orginal placing. Hint is something you need to think on. I asked my sister when writing it what she thought it was and got it right away so we must think alike. There are 2 fences here, the wooden across the top and the concrete holes. The hint is a mix of both
Eeewwww spider webs everywhere, as I have a massive fear of them this was hard going, following the hint didnt work I went with my eyes instead, didnt take long to find I think it's been moved as it doesn't link in with the hint. Tftc
I am soaking wet! Not the best day for caching... though it does beat sitting around at home! Tftc
Oh no we thought as we approached but was a nice quick find late at night on our way to New Plymouth. Love the smell of rosemary. Took a pet rock and left a little something. TFTC
Took a little to spot this cache, but at least it was a sweet smelling search.
Just as we were finishing up, the house owner drove into his driveway. I guess he knew what we were up too

Was down in Wellington for a few days, and decided that I'd make an extra long weekend of it and transfer a rental car back to Auckland and cache along the way. Unfortunately for the rental agency that ment nearly tripling the km's they thought I'd put on it!
With the rental car company only giving me 48 hours to get the car to Auckland a little bit of planing was needed to maximise what I wanted to accomplish, and with only a few DNF's it turned out to be a very successful trip. So a big thanks to everyone who had placed caches along the way, and for showing me some great sight's along the way.
Day 2: Wanganui to Hawera and home via the Forgotten Highway.
A bit of a party going on at the property but still managed to get the hide without being noticed. Took the TB, thanks for the hide.

I've just realised this is one of the caches I picked up on a trip into South Taranaki the other weekend, but have forgotten to log. 2 Bulbars and I went into Curtis Falls, then we both headed off to do our own. Me to find some, he to hide some. TFTC
Forgot to log this one, remembered driving through Eltham last night. Good placement, nice dry cache. So Mission accomplished TFTC! Blenheim Bear, is this the new standard for the area, if so bring it on...
