A lovely walk on a glorious autumn day in Whangamata. Or first time to visit this walk but we will definitely be back as it was lovely. The 4 legged oddball was super pooped at the end of it A quick find and even though there were a lotOf people walking we had a perfect muggle free search Thanks for the series

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit & doing the things that we want to do we are currently parked up at the DoC Wentworth Valley Campsite near Whangamata we like walking the various tracks & especially enjoy finding waterfalls this waterfall track was on our list the cache was easily found, completed & replaced pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... T the TB:LN:SL ... #4,633 for us!

**#20626**The second replacement cache used here, again exhausted various hiding spots, eventually went through some previous logs and found a photo in a log by Alraz on 10 jan 2019 that shows the hide, located the exact same rock distinguished by the markings on the photo so knew I had the right place, replaced with a 400ml camo taped bottle.Great area for an explore, many people camping in the area at present so lucky that it was later on in the day/early evening so that meant less muggles walking past.

Looked and uncovered in all the logical and unlikely places. Could not find today

No luck and by help of the photo found the place but nothing there.

No pencil to log out details. Great location for kids!

A quick detour off the well formed path, and we spotted the likely hiding place and the decent sized cache. TFTC

The walk to this point is pretty gentle, quickly spotted the specified rock. TFTC

This one took me a bit of time to track down as it was difficult to pinpoint gz under the tree cover and there are a lot of rocks to check out. I eventually found it with the help of a photo but even then it took a little time to locate the right spot

Found on a walk to meet madtotara on a walk from over the hill. Decided the waterfall was too far for the little legs with us.

Walked across from wires rd. Found with amm56 who had walked in to meet us.

Good cache but hard to find, had to use a picture for help before we spotted it. So here is a hint for whoever is having difficulty! It’s by this tree, but can you figure out which one it is?

Afternoon wander up to the falls. Kiwi was introduced to this walkway on a boys weekend one week ago. Back again today with the whole clan. Enjoying the views and paddling in the river. TFTC

Camping here this weekend and grabbed this after a swim at the water hole. A few groups came and went but pretty quiet. Jumped back in the track with an odd look from a muggle up the track haha.

This is a walk that has been on my radar for a few years, and finally, on a lovely summer's day we managed to get over here and complete the walk. Pretty easy terrain, a lovely walk and a beautiful waterfall at the end - terrific combination! TFTC

I pointed out GZ to my kids and stayed on the trail and let them find this one. We took the TB. We really appreciated the caches along the trail as it kept ours boys motivated to keep walking.

Took us a bit longer than it should have but we got there in the end. We ended up finding it in a place we thought we had already checked.

Well we had a great day tramping up to see the Falls and on for lunch by the Tairua River before returning. Lovely day and plenty of people around, but with the caches so well placed we had no trouble with muggles. Cache is in good condition. TFTC

First time here to do a bit of camping. Good easy find to start off with.

2.05pm - A group of us from Team BOP had completed Island caches in Whangamata, so with time on our side Wentworth Valley looked good. Never been here before and what a great walking track here. One of our team was a 4 year old who managed this with ease. Caches soon found and logged with no major issues. We knew the cache at the falls appeared to have gone so contacted owner who asked us to replace if not found. SLTFTC

Time for another TEAM BOP road trip this time with Davidson Clan, Squirrelnutcase, McJandals, FapAndGap and my two boys. We've just cleared Whangamata so it's time to visit Wentworth Valley, the second place on our list. This was our second stop and while some of the group ventured a little too far in I spotted a rock that wasn't quite right so again I sent Joe in to investigate, cheers G-2, TFTC

On a team trip today with part of team BOP, totally enjoyed this walk, the track is even and well maintained, the shade was most welcome on this really hot summer day (the first in ages). Nice swimming spots, beautiful bush, ahh the serenity, Many thanks for bringing us here. Cheers

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, Mc Jandals, Philip.Perry, Blue Steel, and Little Joe... We used our group name: Team BOP to sign in.

Our big focus for today was Wentworth Valley. We figured there’d be plenty of time, so we decided to factor in a clean up of Whangamata... The weather, time and tide seemed right for a nice little assault...

And then we arrived at Wentworth... A few vehicles in the carpark, and several campers. What a beautiful, peaceful place to visit... The cool shaded track was welcome in the mid afternoon heat. The path was well maintained, with a gradual incline.

The caches along the trail were quick finds, and easily accessed by the youngest and oldest of our group. TFTC.

Took us a while to find right rock. GPS a bit erratic.

Another rock in a quarry hunt. Know what to look for so found it in a few mins. A few bit of broken glass in the vicinity. Be careful.
