Unfortunately the timeshare where we used to stay at has been sold and we are no longer up this way frequently enough to maintain this cache, especially as the replacement containers have been regularly 'muggled'. Time to archive this one.
Pretty explicit description and no logs for a while (yes, lockdown but others have). A few dodgy logs too.
Looks like this one has gone missing yet again. Not sure when we will next be up this way so may end up archiving as the current hiding spot appears to be compromised.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #885, no logbook.
Short stop with a picnic and a cache. I took the time for a walk and found this one quickly.

Road trip from Auckland to Wellington, stopped for petrol and a bite to eat over the road. A nice stroll over here, a useful hint and soon found. All good here, nice break in the journey. TFTC
Found this cache today during a short stroll around Turangi, nice spot for a hide! Thanks a lot and regards from Germany,

We had a very nice holiday in New Zealand. Almost every day beautiful weather. We traveled with the camper home from the north to the south island. we have found a lot of very nice caches. Thanks for showing the nice places where we found the caches.

On the way to the Isite we met other cachers from The Netherlands. They couldn't find it. I heard the hint and bingo! But the Iside was closed. Tomorrow at 08.30 am we will come again.

Day two of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. I parked across the highway and used the underpass to get to the cache. Thanks for replacing and TFTC, Biggles.
Found on our way home to Wellington from the Summer City Concert in Taupo. We'd stopped for brunch with family travelling in a separate car. Good hint and fairly easily found. Busy road but no one seemed to be paying attention to what we were doing. Signed log with @peadub and replaced where found. TFTC.

On my way home from Masterton after running in the Holdsworth Jumbo mountain race and spotted this one was replaced, I needed a leg stretcher so stopped and found it while walking around getting the legs moving, the hide was exactly where I thought it would be, this time it was there, thanks for replacing.

Toilet stop on way home from Taupo and thought we'd try this cache as we had already pulled off SH1. TFTC
Sadly the cache has been muggled. I don't know when but it must have been recently. I hope the owner can put a new cache so everyone can enjoy finding the cache there.
The cache appears to have gone missing again so will check on it and replace as necessary this weekend when we pass through.
Had a bit of a look on the way home too, found a likely spot but it was empty, did venture slightly further afield and even checked in the underpass but no other likely spots.
Charging the EV before tackling the Desert Road. Time to do a little caching whilst I wait. Quick find in good condition. TFTC.
Travelling down to Whanganui this week for work. Taking the scenic route and collecting some smileys. Stopped here for petrol which made the underpass very convenient. TFTC
Found it while doing Tongariro River Track with PeanutButterBaby on the bikes while staying in Turangi for New Year's. All good at GZ. TFTC
End of year family trip before Xmas to this fabulous location. Staying with family friends at their batch. Our 5 year olds are getting into this great outdoors adventuring and just lovely to see them waiting to find the next one. We have loved all the finds.... dispite the rain..... and highly recommend finds in this area. Definitely feeling caches spirit around here. Wish we had more time to find them all. TFTF'S
Found this one together with GM386 while our Roadtrip on the Northern Island.
What an amazing country - we really fell in love

On my 3 week trip through the beautiful country of New Zealand I tried to find as much geocaches as I could. Found this one on my walk to the city. TFTC!
Appears to have gone missing again. Have dropped in a replacement for now until back this way long enough to sort out an alternative hide.
Mr Coblet had stopped off at the nearby Burger King with some work colleagues a few weeks ago and knew this cache was nearby but had to resist the urge to search as it was midnight and they were on a last minute drive back to Auckland from Wellington after their flight was cancelled so he didn’t want to test the patience of some very grumpy muggles.
Today the situation was remedied and we made a quick find as we drove past on our way to Masterton.
Nice hiding spot. TFTC.

I've been on a road trip with my lad to meet up with old friends in one of my favourite places in New Zealand, Rotorua. I come as often as I can but not often enough these days, so this has been my first chance to visit the Bay of Plenty as a Geocacher.
We had had a brilliant time yesterday doing quite a few of the Rotorua attractions, but today it was time to pack up and head home. But not before we tried to grab a few more caches "for the road". The weather was threatening to spoil our plans, and this morning certainly was interesting . I thought only Wellington got horizontal rain?
Anyway, I often break up my journeys north with a stop in Turangi, so whilst we were here we decided to get our last cache for the day. We opted for the easy parking option nearby and found GZ pretty quickly. Adam spotted where the cache was immediately, and after that it was a simply signing of the log before we replaced it all exactly as found and were back on our way home.
Thanks for setting this cache up for us, best wishes from the Horowhenua.

#337. Looping back to Kinloch on a day trip. Number three today at the lunch-stop. Spied location pretty soon after reaching co-ords. Tftc
With eagle eyes 4robf4 on the job the cache was found without too many suspicious muggles watching. TFTC
Enjoyed our 17.5 km round trip from our lodging collecting caches on the southern circuit of the river trail yesterday. Today we hope to collect the remaining caches in and around Turangi on a much shorter circuit of about 8km. The beautiful Autumn colours were a delight and Turangi will certainly be somewhere we come to again. Thanks all7ofusnz for bringing us here.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go a drive down to Kuratau from Taupo as I hadn't explored this area before then it was back to Turangi.
This one was very close to the Mosaic Journey caches so just couldn't leave it there on its own.
Cheers for the cache.

When one half of the team is filling up the gas, the other half makes another easy find. Thanks!
Continuing our tour of New Zealand we are staying nearby so had to come and find this cache.
On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day one driving from Hamilton to Wellington. Thank you for the cache
After visiting the info office we looked for this cache. Quick find.

Have just checked the hide and the cache is gone again. Might need to rethink the location as it appears that somebody is collecting bisons...
Looks like this one has gone missing. Will organise a replacement as soon as possible.
After lunch at Burger King (en route to Tauranga) we decided to look for this one. It wasn’t where we expected it to be nor anywhere else we looked. There didn’t seem to be too many possible hiding spots. Wherever it is, we weren’t able to find it!
