Found 17:54Three months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.
Find 21 of 27 on a a fantastic day out, riding from Mundaring to Chidlow and back on the Kep Track on a perfect blue sky day.Took a while in all the wrong places here - we had GZ about 9m away - should have trusted the title but it was pretty well buried and easy to miss on the way through.TFTC jasenjanine!
Had a good day hunting Deadly Creatures before hitting the Kep Track. I had the mountain bike with me, but decided to pick off the easier caches by car first up. This way I can more of a ride when I return.
Last weekend, ultrarunners ran from Northam to Mundaring Weir. Two distances, 75km and 100km. Huge effort!

Checked on this one after a DNF and found it right where it should be .. under some needles

Passing by so stopped to knock off a few more from the Kep series. Found this one nice and easy; bigger container than usual. Picked up a Thai butterfly Extagz geocoin thingy. All's well with the cache, thanks jasenjanine.

After a peaceful night camping at the lake, megawat60 and I went out to do what we came here to: ride our geobikes along some of the KEP trail and look for a cache or 10. The first one found and a nice chat with an interested Shire Muggle. Thanks jasenjanine!

Found it. TFTC jasenjanine. Teamed up with ullyssia and papillon367 to form the "A Team"
We had another attempt at more of the Kep Track. Chidlow to Mundaring with a few others included. A great day to blow the dust of the deadly treadly and enjoy the fresh air.

Today was a perfect day for another bite at the Kep track with ullyssia and Photo-Play, starting in Chidlow and finishing in Mundaring. This was a fairly quick find. Thank you for the cache and the great series jasenjanine.

Decided to go for a ride from Mt Helena to Wooroloo after a failed attempt on Thursday due to me snapping my bike chain not 300m from the vehicle. This has been a great trail to do and a chance to get out of the house.

Out and about with Neva2old and themongrel to claim a few more along the Kep Track, happy to say we added a smilie here today TFTC
Out and about with Parkacruz and Themongrel today. On a nice sunny but chilly winters day, we only had 3 DNF's which was great. Parkacruz managed to squash her fingers between some rocks, so a tissue was issued and a couple of bandaids and told " to toughen up princess" so we could continue our caching day. ( Since coming home Parkacruz has been to the DR's and now has steristrips and an appointment for a surgeon OOPPPS)
Well hidden.Now that summer has past, must try to organise some kep tracking days. Think we need to dust off the bikes to make a visit more efficient. Tftc

After an enjoyable walk with my sister on the KEP track heading south from Mundaring Sculpture Park, today I decided to walk the track heading east from the same starting point all the way to Wooroloo. I was expecting a great adventure and this track (and the series of caches along it) did not disappoint. While the terrain was reasonably flat throughout, the frequent junctions and historical placards along the way made the trek more interesting. Lots of wildlife were spotted, lots of big grey kangaroos, bobtails, really large goannas, foxes and a wide array of birds. A great variety of hides can be found along the trail, with most caches hidden securely and in good working order. I had really good luck in finding this string of caches with only 2 DNFs for the day (i.e. Red Flag & Pipe-ular Picnic. I am feeling inspired to return another day to continue this KEP track epic.

After picking up a rare moveable cache in Mundaring I decided to track down some more of 'The Kep' series while I was in the area. Did the little section between Mt Helena and Chidlow by car, not the best method I must admit.
A nice quick find on this one.

17th for my Kep Track visit today. Found an Extagz and thought it was a TB - now I have to work out just what to do with it! - TFTC.
Resting my leg for most of the week I was glad that we had booked a campsite close by.
The kids played at the lake with the grandparents, the wife was reading a book and I finally could go for I little 6km walk.
the cache was found quick and of I went to the next one.

Hi there jasenjanine.
We found your cache **"THE KEP - Needles"** at 1:05:00 PM today in the company of Everlasting and Sevabo.
This was our 11th cache find today & makes our total find count 15220.
What an adventure we had. Everlasting's sister Sevabo is visiting from Sydney, and as today is our last day in Perth for a while - Everlasting persuaded everyone to attempt some of the KEP track. After a very shaky start, and some thrills and spills on the slippery gravel along the way, we managed to log 11 caches. Unfortunately we also logged 4 DNF's.
We found a variety of different sized cache containers, some where we thought they were, and some we had to search around for a while. (Our GPS wandered around quite a bit in some spots along the track and the other ones probably did too). Overall, today's cache run was very enjoyable, but please excuse our boilerplate log, we find it really difficult to craft individual ones when we attempt so many similar caches in a day.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Enjoying a bit more of the KEP series today with magpie51! Awesome caching weather, wonderful company, another smilie TFTC 
We have been tackling this series over a period of time and it was time to bite the bullet and get it completed .... So the geowife instructed me it was my time to complete it !!!!!
I packed the car with the old push bike and hit the trail early ......
It was dark when I hit Mundaring so it was out with the torch . Did I mention the weather was dismal !!!!
I managed to collect 81 and no DNFs.

I saw the history of the KEP track in different stages from the old water pipe to the railway sliding's / landings and the buildings close to the track from that era .

When Fernweh* suggested a day's caching along the KEP, I was more than enthusiastic about the idea. I knew that to get it done would take more than just the one day, taking into account the time it takes to get from my home gz to Mundaring and then back again after a day's hike. She was under the misguided delusion that it was the whole Track could be done in just one day - lol.
Anyway, we decided to start at the beginning and see just how far we could get. Fortunately Granett came in on the planning side of things and suggested that we start further along at Sawyer's Valley and work our way back to the weir, much of which was downhill, saving us the time and effort of doing it uphill instead.
I had also invited Eliktrisiti to come along for the trek, to which she was somewhat hesitant at first, but she was on a mission to crack the big "100 Finds" milestone. It was freezing cold and pitch black when I left this morning, stopping to pick up Eliktrisiti in Mandurah on the way. Arriving at the rendezvous point 15minutes prior to the agreed time, we couldn't resist coming and grabbing the nearest cache while we while we waited for Fernweh* to arrive.
We then bundled into the one car and headed off to meet Granett and start our day's adventure. Lots of chit chat and laughter along the way, with a great variety of hides to keep us wondering what would be next, while steadily working our way back down to the weir and my car.
After dropping Fernweh* and Granett back at their cars and saying our goodbyes, Eliktrisiti and I decided we could squeeze in *just a few more* before heading home, so we headed eastward instead of west, managing to snaffle another ten finds to top off our bumper day.

TFTC! Had a days caching planned with Cravo10 as we haven't really gone out for a full day since our action packed whirlwind 3500 kilometre trip to Kalgoorlie, Leonora, Esperance, kulin and surrounds trip.
Had a sleep in this morning before we headed out on our mission to tackle a few caches on the Lep Track to Northam, with a few others along the way thrown in for good measure.
Planning the route last night i thought of the idea of a Land, Air & Seas day, with the kep track caches forming the land leg, a kayak on the Avon forming the sea leg (river) and the air leg being some tree climbing in wundowie. This was not mentioned to John in the plans as usual as he generally gets apprehensive about these "ideas", so when he turned up I just casually mentioned "I've gotta get a couple of things from the garage", that's when the face changed and I explained about the days "goals"
Anyway we had a later than usual start and tackled a bunch of the caches between mundaring and wundowie along the kep track before deviating to lake leschenaultia. The two field puzzles here chidlows well and assembly required weren't really on the days plans, as I generally have pretty poor form when it comes to field puzzles and I bring along muggle mate come geocacher Numbers Man to solve them which generally costs me a lunch.
Lake leschenaultia turned into the highlight of the day. WP2 of assembly required is probably one of the most fun geocaches I have ever come across. Such a simple task, but quite hard aswell as I struggle to follow instructions!! And chidlows well, was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the earlier logs but we had the container within about a minute of arrival, great job on that one. Tried to take all sorts of backways to grab the final for the assembly required puzzle but should have just walked from wp2, it would have been easier and not wasted thirty minutes of our time.
After completing the lake leschenaultia caches we then continued towards Northam but time was getting tight as we didn't bring any push bikes so we were walking from the car to the cache each time which was slowing Us down significantly. We eventually got to Northam a bit later than expected and grabbed some much needed supplies to refuel the body for our next leg.
We arrived at the banks of the Avon to complete the Avon a swim cache in the geo yaks, which has been on the radar for a while with all the caching growth in the area. We paddled down with a nice strong current pushing us down the river towards GZ, we took some notes from he listing and the maps as we didn't want to take the phones on the water. Was a nice quick find in a logical spot, well the only spot really. And we then paddled back against the strong current which gave the arms a good workout. Only got marginally wet, thankfully as it was a bit chilly!!
We then planned out assault on the tree climbing aspect of the day the eucalyptus cache in wundowie, unfortunately we arrived in darkness and even after coming prepared with an extremely large ladder we still couldn't reach it and didn't want to risk life or limb in the dark for just one cache, so we decided to leave it for another time
All in all another great day out, should be able fo complete the kep series on our next visit to the area which hopefully isn't too far away although the CPS series has really taken a back seat after this series was published!

Another Friday morning, another trip to the hills for some caching.
Great morning to be out in the cool weather.
Seventh find of the morning, decided to start here and work my way towards Chidlow. Started just after 8:30am. Didn't have to be at work until 11am so plenty of time to get some finds. Log signed and was on my way. TFTC.

While our geo-hubby's were cycling through the reserve, Mrs iluvtrekking and I headed off in the car to grab The Kep caches closer to Chidlow. Rain falling steadily now so no hope of keeping dry. Thanks jasenjanine.
Richlink stayed over on Saturday night so that we could make and early, early start on Sunday morning.
So, with the bikes loaded we headed off in the dark to Northam, "The Kep" caches firmly in our sights. Some of the caches were accessed on foot from the nearest parking spot and others by bike. Although there was some heavy rain storms on Monday and we were wet through we found all of the caches and had a great couple of days finishing up with lunch at The Weir Hotel on Monday.

I was back out after work again today to hit up more of the KEP track hides, and I picked up where I left off on Monday night. Another regular sized cache very well hidden! I searched for a while but was lucky to find it.

This was our first find back after a little rest and play in Chidlow. Pastie from the shop was very ordinary...would recommend Baker's Hill over Chidlow for hot food although Chidlow did have some scrumptious looking sweet stuff. Anyway, there were plenty of hiding spots at this location and it was great to be able to log a find. Thanks.

We decided yesterday to come out and try and do some of this series and started in Mundaring and finished up near Wooroloo when we got too tired to continue doing the long walks. After recovering a bit we went back to Mundaring and then started the caches towards the Wier from where we had started this morning getting as close as we could to GZ with the car and walking the short distances from the road to the track.
Got a few firsts along the way and had no trouble finding any of the caches.
