I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Jim1213, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

I had a similar experience today to previous finders - searched the tree at GZ, the next tree 15m away and all the rock over a 30 minute period. Noting the D2 nature of the hide and lack of finding since 2019 I am confident this cache is no longer present. It should be reviewed by the CO.

Spent a good 20mins searching for this one. Approached GZ from the top after making the trek up from my house which backs onto this hill. Expanded my search, but there was only one feasible place it could be based on the hint. Didn't help that I opened up an old wound and created a crime scene around GZ by dripping blood everywhere! Another time - which could be very soon since I live right next door!

03-May-20
Found an obvious tree at GZ and looked and looked nothing remotely close. Circled out about another 10m still nothing.

Quite a tricky place to search, stepped on a soccer ball sized bolder that ran down the hill out of site. That was exciting.

I'm a bit behind on logging this one - found it on a cycle/bushwalk trip a few weeks back. Apologies for the late log and thanks for the cache!

I’ve cached rob roy nature reserve a few times but either some caches have eluded me or some popped up after. It happens in the caching world. So today during a week off from work decided to get all those caches east of my house in rob Roy and this was going to be tough, many steep hills and valleys. Overall did about 10km, awesome views a nice reward at most of the cache locations. Tftc

Joining with Genghicat for a gentle afternoon stroll, at least that's what we intended. Somehow we ended up at the top of a hill taking photos. Walking back down after finding the nearby puzzle had its own challenges. Loose rocks and steep slopes led to many slips but no falls fortunately. Its a beautiful, crisp afternoon, snow is in the air.
Genghicat being the more competitive of us overshot and had to backtrack. I took things more steadily. This time hare and turtle finished together. The cache was found quickly in good condition. Tftc

I had travelled down from Brisbane to attend the Mega event in Queanbeyan and spent the last week and a bit furiously working my way through my extensive caching to-do list. My wife and daughter flew down to join me on Tuesday and since then caching has taken a back seat to more touristy activities.

Today however I was given a leave pass while they went out shopping. I was concentrating on finding some of the nearby unloved caches I had on my target list for my trip, and this was one of the caches I managed to squeeze into my allotted time.

Great views from up on this hill. So pleased I made the walk up here. TFTC

I have found this cache during the Clear Water Mega or in the weeks leading up to the Mega that was held I Queanbyean, New South Wales during the Easter Long Weekend of 2019. Due to the very large volume of caches and very long hours this is he first chance that I have had to Log all my finds,

This Mega Event will go down as one of the best mega events ever. I went on several Geocaching Tours, Swapped over 200 Pathtags, Bought Some Geocoins, Made some New Friends, Cached with Old Friends. During the Clear Water Mega I managed to get 8 FTF (as of 2359 on the 20/4/19. I am hoping to get more FTFs in the next few days. I’m sad to see the Mega ending but I’m excited for my next adventure in Hawaii for a few weeks after the mega ends. . Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with over 200 finds in the last few weeks it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache. A very big thank you to all the CO’s for your caches. I also donated 25 pathtags to the Girl Guides to thank them for their hard work. Had fun being the Clear Water Yowie for over 7 hours on the 19th April also.

My name will not appear in the All7 caches as I helped her put out hundreds of her caches. All other logs have been signed DSD or Darksidedan or Darkside depending on the size of the cache.

I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the 20th of April 2019 my average is 99 words per log, which seems close to the 100 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 5000 aches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated.

Another rough hard climb with the brother in Rob Roy range. It's a killer for us old fellas. The views though are outstanding.

This one had been in my GPS for quite some time. I have spent the last month cleaning up a few of these strays. It was quite a climb to get to this one. After signing the log, I continued up the hill to see the view from the top. It was well worth the effort. TFTC

Great spot. I would have put it right up on top of the hill treacherous slope it is on too. I walked over from Electrical Storm with the hounds on a 90 minute walk.

Thanks Jim1213

First time caching in a while and what a cache to kick things off. Brutal hike up the hill, calf muscles on fire but the view was totally worth it. Been meaning to get this one for a while seeing as we are regular cachers with Jim1213. Thanks guys, keep em comin!

F(H)ound It! #1541 - @4:46:00 PM

Marvelous hill, and I would not have come here if not for this cache (and perhaps one other Wink). I was a bit worried about snakes as there has been so many sightings recently. So I decided to avoid ALL sticks, wriggling or otherwise. This is such a beautiful hill with quite diverse terrain. Some wildflowers are out and the thistles haven't matured yet.
Yes my calves hurt! A short but very steep climb and always GZ seemed so close. Once found I climbed up a bit further where it becomes surprisingly flat and easy, and oh so beautiful with views of more hills...and more hills. Thanks for the cache, Jim1213.

Short sharp walk to find the cache: excellent location, thanks.

The first of two finds on today's hike - and what a perfect Autumn day it was!

I parked at the nearest spot and made the short and steep walk straight up the hill. A nice climb that got my heart working (the calves were fine, readers will be pleased to know). Slightly precarious footing GZ, just because of the quite severe gradient.

I found the cache easily enough (the hint was handy) and took a trackable to continue its journey from Washington state to places beyond. As advised I continued up the hill where the views were glorious. Not to be outdone I then continued on to Electrical Storm, but that is another story/log. TFTC

I wouldn't mind a dollar for every time I've climbed up this hill for a cache. As it turns out it would only be $4, but still.....

Parked in a familiar spot, headed up and through the gap in the fence and started the climb. In no hurry, so about 20 minutes later I was sitting on the rock near GZ signing the log. Grabbed a couple of photo's while enjoying the views...before it was time to head back to the (real) world below.

Thanks Jim.....enjoyed the views again....photo attached.

A short walk up the hill for a quick find. TFTC.

This was the ninth find of a long, satisfying days caching. And the 5th climb to a 'peak' so far. A quick find here before heading onwards and downwards. TFTC.

Took my housemates geodog out for a walk from Theodore. Good, solid walk. Geodog offered good assistance by pulling me up the hill when I was lagging. TFTC

Choo ooo *FTF* at 2.10pm on a very warm Sunday afternoon! As I was climbing the hill (which I've climbed a few times now) I noticed 1000's of grasshoppers flying off. Now if only I could have harnessed them all, they could have given me a lift up here! Great views from up here! Surprised that Sumbloke wasn't here - was expecting to run into him! Thanks for the hide Jim1213! Very nice!

Missed it by that much... again!! Had to pick someone up from Sydney airport this morning and on the drive back saw a bunch of new caches published. One was only 3km from my front door so I thought if it was still unfound by the time I got back I would go for it. Got back home and yes, it was still unfound so I looked up a good spot to park and then raced out for a hopeful FTF. Parked within 500m of the cache and from there it was a steep climb to GZ. As I started I saw Goldenwattle at a lower point of the track so I picked up the pace to keep ahead of her. Got within 20m of GZ and saw a likely hiding spot and thought I had my first ever FTF. Raced up and within about 10m of GZ I saw that Tankengine was sitting there in the shade. Sad

I was absolutely stuffed from the brisk walk up so I sat for a while and chatted with Tankengine and waited for Goldenwattle to reach GZ. Wonderful views up here and great spot for your first cache. Thanks for the cache Jim1213.

A steep, slippery hill on a hot day. I took it slowly and didn't puff, but I was third TF. There was Tankengine & Dwarf Exploder sitting there. On the way down I did pass two people headed up the hill and I wondered if they might be geocachers, but I couldn't see them holding a GPS for me to know. It appears it was likely ham228. I stopped to admire and photograph flowers on the descent. TFTC Jim1213.

Found it! Unfortunately not FTF, we were stuck at home for a bit before we could go out, but we thought we would be safe due to the heat! We finally got out and braved both the sun and the excitable grasshoppers. Ran into GoldenWattle on the way up, which then crushed our hopes of finding it first... Only to discover we were actually fourth! Should have known Tankengine would be quick. Normally we wouldn't have gone out during a day like this, but decided to make a special exception just for Jim1213. Great location, thanks for the cache! Smile
