Once we had located the entrance to the GZ area, it was a quick find. TFTC

A nice walk from manuwai drive, sea lettuce is pretty bad but at low tide I was able to walk around the outside of it all and there is none at gz so easy searching. I didn't read the full description and therefore started climbing trees and the bank until I went back to basics, read the description and found the cache straight away (: thank you
Walked to this one from the entry point off Manawai Drive. Thankfully the tide was out which made getting to GZ that bit easier. A lovely walk along the mudflats although the sea lettuce is rampant. Once at GZ the cache was quickly located. Nice one, TFTC!
A muddy & dirty walk to GZ. Took a bit of searching at the location to find the cache. Nicely camouflaged. Thanks Macwatt
Lovely walk down the beach at low tide. Knew it was a McWatt so I was expecting a bit of an epic so was surprised when I found it so easily. Still good though. TFTC.
This has been on my todo list for quite some time, so I was pleased to finally clean out this area today, with willbuild. Nice walk, very peaceful! Took longer than it should've to spot the cache. Nice hide! Thanks for leading us here.
down with Yodabeach for a few caches and the Film get together. Nice area for a walk and to see the train on the other side.
Black feet! Found it! Thought we might struggle as the area is quite overgrown. Pleased we did.
We came around the shoreline from the nearby cache, but the tide was coming in rapidly, it was getting late and we were thwarted by the slip, photo below. We will return.
This was a lovely walk round to the cache just had to get my feet wet on the last bit. The water was nice after my feet got accustomed to the cold then on the way back my jandel broke. Cache all good tftc
We looked at the tides first thing this morning, and decided to go for this one straight after breakfast. Navigating our way around the oozy mud patches took a little thought... but we had it sussed for the return walk to the car. An enjoyable outing - interesting and worthwhile, thank you .
Felt important finding official geocaching document and the first find ever for dad!
Decided to check the tide chart while at work today and saw that low tide coincided nicely with my knock off time.
Darted home to get changed and off to Matua.
Parked on Bay St and carried my jandals with me while getting my feet nice and muddy. It was a nice walk along the water edge to GZ and took me a couple of minutes to find the nicely hidden cache, which is in perfect condition.
I also notice that this saves me from equalling my longest streak, so that's also a relief. Find number 780 on my 365th day of caching, tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary.
Thanks Macwatt for an awesome cache, lovely walk and beautiful view.

Low tide was conveniently timed for 5pm today so we headed to GZ early evening and enjoyed a nice walk along the shoreline, but unfortunately we missed the pohutukawas in flower. We took a few mins to find the cache as were having problems with the GPS but finally spotted it. We came prepared with gumboots, a good choice as the area near GZ was very muddy. There were a number of people out walking their dogs and one very enthusiastic wet & muddy creature took a liking to us as we were walking back from GZ, necessitating a change of clothes for Mrs nzk on returning home!! TFTC Macwatt and thanks for the adventure!
By the time I had walked to approximate gz I had decided the terrain rating was too low.No not seriously but the temp was 27 degrees, probably 100% humidity , not a breath of wind & I was wet through from sweat.A small rest & after a small hunt I picked up on the well camoed, well placed cache. Thanks Macwatt, well done,a fav from me.
Such a beautiful day deserved a walk after work around this lovely area. The tide was low and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk and sand between my toes. It was interesting looking at the slip on the corner - it would have been amazing to have seen that tree come down but it looks like more will follow. Well done on your first cache - great page and nicely set up cache. TFTC
I'm BORED, I'm BORED has been the whining noise heard during these Xmas holidays from a certain Tauranga cacher with a knack for the dastardly.
I finally relented and took the animal out to stretch his legs and wear out some of that steam. I also took my dog, Mosh and TNX's dog, Max. Someone twisted their knee frolicking around in the mudflats and water. Guess who?
A real nice walk at low tide enjoyed by both humans and dogs. Managed to get my hands on this one first, which is a rarity with Mr TNX "SoreKnee" Pro around.
Cache in a great place and should stand up to high tides.

I have been enjoying these holidays, but after deciding to take an extra week of leave, I have run out of jobs around the house to ignore and boredom was kicking in.
I managed to convince Splatty to meet me out here with Max and Mosh to stretch the legs. The dogs had a great run around too! hehe
I had never been this far out into Matua before as this is my biggest unexplored suburb, so it was an interesting walk out to this one at low tide. Plenty of dry land once the water is out and it might be a good place to explore further some time.
Splatty made the find exactly in the first place he looked while I was inspecting the interesting plants in the area and entertaining the dogs.
We watched the rain clouds closing in on us so we didnt muck around for long afterwards. The rain arrived just as we were loading the dogs in the cars, so great timing.
Thanks for bringing us out here and TFTC.

I made a play for this one around 8am this morning but the tide was high and going around the fallen trees meant this one probably isn't a good one to get at high tide. Expect water to reach your mid thighs and to be impaled by submerged tree branches... however, low tide is sweet as as I discovered on return. Congrats on your FTF Mcjandals, I found promptly after a quick botany lesson. TFTC.
FTF. YAY. Was having a domestic day at home taking down xmas tree etc then saw Matts comment on FB. Thought I needed a break mmmm why not!! Loaded my rock hopper shoes after checking tides. Found a big stick to help show me how deep each step was that I took. Only got a lil wet. Thanks for the adventure!!! .
