I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi munkis

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

A DNF at this beautiful location!

Not found for nearly two years and multiple DNFs. Would be good if the CO could confirm it’s still there. Thanks.

Came prepared with lots of time and gloves. Searched, dug and got mucky but with no luck unfortunately. Maybe needs a visit from the co. Thanks anyway. What a beautiful place.

Found the spot easy enough (as per the hint) but no cache in sight. Might be buried underneath the sticks and debris that was there.

Natural beauty is the best way to describe this area. The falls are absolutely stunning. Really beautiful.

What a great place to visit, to see, and to experience.

Thanks munkis for bringing us to this wonderful location Smile

Quick find thanks to a good hint. All dry and good, took TB.
Thanks to the owner for placing a cache here, well deserved spot!

After all the muggels were gone I could find the cache easy because of the good description. Cache was clean and dry.

Had a trip planned to do this lovely walk this Easter weekend as an an introductory "big girl" walk for Miss Four with rest of the crew. Love this walk not just for the falls at the end but also the limestone formations that are very dominating at the beginning of this track. Plenty of people out here partaking in this 1.5 hr return track. With the CO providing a new cache container with swag we replaced this hide. So a new clean log book (double bagged) already to go.

Thanks to angelndemon this cache has now been replaced and is ready to find again!

Some months since last found. We did not find the cache today. If we identified the location correctly then it would appear some high water may have disturbed / removed the cache. My daughter has placed a painted stone (found on the walk in) in the location under the rock where we think the cache was meant to be.

Following on from the previous cacher, i found the cache at the start of the walk atop the picnic table. Carried it in to ground zero and as the hint was crystal clear, I felt confident placing it back in its proper place. I have taken a photo to confirm with cache owner.

Great little walk with a rewarding view of the falls at the end.

Cheers.

There was a geocache in a square plastic container in full view near the picnic table at the start of the Shine Falls walk today. Presumably it's the one from the Falls. Unfortunately I found it on the way out so couldn't return it to its hiding place. Maybe someone else can put the cache back before it disappears?

keška nebyla vůbec ukrytá, ale přímo na očích... podle hintu mi ani nepřipadá, že by byla na správném místě
vodopád je nádherný, procházka stála za to

After having this spot on our 'to do' list for quite some time we finally made it! We brought our togs but it was a bit too cold to swim today. The cache was easy to find thanks to the hint and we were thankful for it because our gps decided not to work. The highlight for the kids was feeding and watching the eels. TFTC.

Found on a wet and miserable day with my son. We decided after lunch to head out caching, despite the weather, and tick this one off our list. A stunning waterfall, and an enjoyable walk. We were surprised to see a few other people out here on the same day. Thanks for the cache.. it was quickly found, and did a quick trade. We were going to drop a TB, but was worried water might get up to the cache with a good heavy rain.
Fav point for the location.

What an amazing spot! We enjoyed the walk into the waterfall- our native bush is always gorgeous but when we arrived we were entertained by the large eel swimming amongst the rocks- the eel and his eel friends were not worried about the onlookers. Had lots of fun swimming under the waterfall and jumping off the rocks. We relaxed under the waterfall under the rocks and then the smallest of our party put the hand on a baby eel- we think the screams would have been heard all around HB. We will definitely be back to enjoy this HB gem. TFTC Smile

Had been walking up here a few weeks ago, the same weekend this was placed. Never mind, nice walk, I'll go back. Back again a few weeks later to try find it - If only I'd updated the GPS!!! Finally got it. Thanks for the nice walks - well worth the effort(s) is it really is a nice area. Good hide, too.

Joint {FTF} with sveppi!
On a 6 day road trip with sveppi. Day 1: Taupo-Te Awanga. Since there was a 14+ day old FTF to be grabbed at Shine Falls we are taking the detour in that direction first. After a quick stop at White Pine Bush reserve where we found 3 caches and 3 trackables, we finally made it here around lunchtime. Had a bite to eat then set off in the heat for what we thought would be a 60-minute walk to the falls. The crossing of the paddock was beautiful. Coming from a volcanic region we don't often see sedimentary cliffs like this! The next step was moving a freshly dead sheep (still warm) off the track, to spare the smell and sight to the visitors over the next few weeks! Very surprised to find the falls a sedate 35-minutes in, and glad to see the blank logbook to claim FTF. If we'd known it would be such a short walk we would have taken lunch and togs in with us. Nevermind. Did a few swaps, took 2 TBs (not logged in cache!?) left 1 TB. Not sure how often this stream floods but the cache is very near the water's edge, the CO might want to check the site after the next heavy rain event to make sure it is safe. The falls look amazing and they are well worth the detour from the main road. TFTC +Fav

Whooo {*FTF*} with fanfan-77. We had been watching this publication for a while... not really understanding why no one went to claim it. Anyway we are on a mini break so decided to make a small detour to grab this cache. Stopped at White Pine reserve on the way which is also worth a visit. On a geocaching roll. It was quite an interesting walk to the falls... included removing a fresh dead sheep from the track (before it was more dead and stinky) and heading up in very quick time to the falls. What an amazing place! Falls are great. Super spot for a cache Smile Only wish I had brought my swimming stuff (very hot day again). Found easily with the hint. Nice well stocked cache in a great location - favourite point from me. TFTC
