Me and my uncle went out one evening and searched around a bit and he pointed something out saying what is that, not that hard to find if ur in the right position
I have been to Portland Oregon ( home of the original cache) and now I have been to Portland NSW! TFTC
#1834 I had plans to go somewhere else this morning with the intention of knocking of a few more hide dates & hide months which I had plugged into the GPSr but then the call from alnic39 first for a puzzle to be solved then did I want to come. Always fun with adlib caching. My GPSr came preloaded with caches but they are only trads and the newest logs are from March 2017 so that is much so have to follow alnic39 only a few times did I have coords so I had to follow Al around then at the end had to get a list of the caches we ended up doing.
This was the 2nd a nice simple find, didn't find the TB in the cache
We signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache joshwa

We have left the Morisset Geo Muster where we spent Easter and are now travelling South in our interim caravan.
At the moment we are camped near Lithgow at a lovely free camp at Lake Wallace. Today we headed to Bathurst for the day, travelling via the backroads.

Mudgee trip for The Road Less Traveled series. Day 4. Mudgee to Canberra via Gulgong and Bathurst. No luck for me here.
Thanks.

Thanks.

Stopped here while heading into Pipers Flat. Found the obvious hide with camo - alas no cache. Maybe next time.
Another find while on a lovely drive this afternoon. Drive rubbish, yes, we were caching..... Thank you for placing! : )
Found as part of a weekend away with Hoojar. We headed up towards Gulgong the first night and camped near the start/ end of TRLT (@ -5 degrees ). The next day we made it through some nice historic places and great rolling countryside to finish up at Sunny Corner after a feed in Bathurst. The next day a few more finds before we headed home. Plenty of roadkill spotted, not many cars and not too much trouble at each cache. Thanks to all those cache hiders .
The opportunity finally arose that Steeba and I both had a free weekend to go caching. We quickly settled upon the northern half of The Road Less Traveled series. We drove to Gulgong via Mudgee after work on Friday, camping just before midnight at the suggested TSR nearby.
Saturday we made our way via the caching trail, and the odd additional cache, to Bathurst for dinner, then back onto the trail to Sunny Corner where we again camped for the evening.
Sunday we turned our heads for home, via a few additional cache stops in Portland and Wallerawang.
A fantastic weekend away, with excellent country to be seen and company to be had. We enjoyed the caches that we found.
Thank you to all of the cache owners, and sorry for the boiler-plate logs!
Cheers

DAMn cache was next on the list, but it was raining hard by now & I didn't fancy a long walk in the dark in he rain. So we drove on to this one instead. I only ever saw a few episodes of Portlandia, but enjoyed them. I should look to see if it's currently available on iView or Stan.
This was an easy find, I retreated back to the car to sign it out of the rain. Bikerbuddy put his rain jacket on, and I got a little grumpy cause I didn't have a rain jacket. At least I thought I didn't. Turned out bikerbuddy had packed mine too. What a sweetie
Thanks

This was our second cache in Portland today. The WaywardWoman found it last month, so I walked ahead of her from the car and found the cache in the first place I looked. Nice and easy. Thanks
#3720- I had to head out to Portland today to meet a host family and their new exchange student. After that, with NickoHeap accompanying me looking for Pokemon, we headed out for a few of the local caches. Couldn't do anything we needed to turn the engine off though- the battery had run down with him using it while the car was off. This was a nice, quick and easy one in an interesting roadside stop. Thanks
Enjoyed the view from this attractive roadside park. Quick find with KellickGuider, Apsley168 and LJC44. Added swaps and geocaching note. TFTC
Interesting little park, good to see the Lone Pine tree and also the Line of Trees. Thanks for bringing us here JOSHWA
A nice drive around Wallerawang and Portland as we travelled to Windeyer to see geo-grandaughter. TFTC
Found the cache quite quickly, but it was empty. Just the signing paper. We put some goodies in it and went on our way. TFTC.
We discovered all those many a couple of days ago.
We have solved all the interesting mysteries before we started our trip to the Mid Western Region of NSW.
Day 1
We started the day in Meadow Flat, followed by Sunny Corner and Dark Corner past Palmers Oakley.
We loved the hilly nature along many peaceful Gravel roads. Many smilies were forming on our map.
We finished the day in Bathurst.
Day 2
We started all fresh again in the morning. Leaving Bathurst, we were able to get going about faster along the sealed road.
We reached Sofala at around lunch time. We couldn't believe that about 40,000 used to live here. It really seemed that the city stopped developing in around the 1850's..
We continued towards Hills End and Windeyer through dry grassy land in 47 degrees heat.
We spend such a beautiful night here in Windeyer in the caravan park. We booked one of the train accomodation where you got to stay in the train back in time. What a great experience. We really liked Windeyer as it seemed so far away from all the city rush. Te locals were very welcoming and were happy to see us in the pub next door for dinner.
What a great community living were it seems like everyone knows everyone.
Day 3
We left Windeyer after a big breakfast. We travelled along Hills End Road until we reached the turn towards another Gravel road. There wer many animals to watch and it got even hotter and hotter.
This day ended in Mudgee.
Day 4
We took a look at Mudgee city today were we searched for a couple of caches and ten continued towards Rylstone.
After we continued to the Wollemi National Park which a good friend recommended us to go. Here we climbed on the top of the mountain and simply enjoyed the stunning view and the tranquil nature.
After, we traveled towards Kandos, Capertee, Cullen Bullen, Portland and Wallerawang back home to Sydney.
We hereby would like to thank all owners for this great interesting tour. We got to see many historical places and sometimes felt like as if we were living back in the the 1850's, which is a good thing.
Thanks

Travelled here via Back Cullen cemetery - well worth a visit. Easy find on a warming day. Off to Portland cemetery now. Thanks.
We were heading to Portland today for one of our semi-regular visits to my aunt who moved back there to what is her hometown years ago when she retired. Actually, she's living in the house her parents (and my grandparents) built in Portland when they got married nearly 90 years ago.
I was delighted to see that 3 new caches had been placed in town since our last visit, and even happier when the geo-widow gave me permission to make the finds before we headed to my aunt's house. My GPSr had me walking in circles here for a few minutes until it settled but when it did settle, it took me straight to the hide. Thanks for placing a cache here at the gateway to Portland Joshwa and for the smiley too.

Down the road a few day's prior but had decided not to continue on to Portland, so it was a surprise how quickly this drive-by came up on the Navman (had I but known). A short seek, there are plenty of hidey holes, but the task was simple enough. There was a nice scent to the Lone Pine on the day. Thanks for the cache *JOSHWA27*
