On our way to Childers for the sugar festival.First one for the trip.Nice easy location, just watch out for passing muggles.
Was a quick find on way to Woodgate, all is in good condition, Thanks, gotadollarmate
Were on our way to Rocky for the weekend to celebrate the birthday of our eldest, which also means we can grab some caches, take in the scenery and escape city life.We had a good idea where the cache was according to the hint, however, nothing of interest was spotted there, well, maybe some giant spiders that looked somewhat terrifying so were glad we didnt spend too much time digging around there. Now then, where would you expect a cache here? Right, its on the side of the road so theres only one option right? Yep, sure enough, but the cache turned into a pancake after it was jammed in and smooshed between two pieces of metal. It took us a few minutes to retrieve from its hidey hole, we got there in the end and popped our name on the log. After signing duties we placed it back in a way it shouldnt get smooshed again, hopefully..,Thanks for bringing us here.#4296 - TFTC
If you are going to find a cache you might as well do it in a B Double truck. Took a quick break on the way North and grabbed this one.
Did not find it. Maybe missing after roadworks. A very dangerous intersection. Not one for the kids!
Noting the two previous DNFs, we decided to stop at this geocache to take a look ourselves. Alas, it was obvious that there had been roadworks at this location and no sign of this cache. We decided to assist with maintenance, and we added a new replacement cache to the new guard rail. Thanks gotadollarmate for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I commenced the drive north with a few [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) targeted D-T geocaches in the Sunshine Hinterland, so we stopped in Woombye and Nambour, before continuing our trip north. I had a targeted Eumundi geocache to find (as it was a non-market day today), and we then spent a couple of hours visiting the *Evil* series nearby to Pomona. After having a bakery lunch in Gympie, we continued north, stopped in Tiaro, and then progressively stopped more as we neared Maryborough. We spent a few hours finding a few geocaches in the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series, and then took a loop around Police Paddock Conservation Park. As the light faded, we caught up with [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB).
Found the cache replacement.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Be careful of the roadworks. The light isn’t shining at the moment but the base and cache is still there. Check the rock
The light was taken down but we still found it the road is a little busy to cross be careful
Hi there gotadollarmate, we found your cache This Way To Bauple........ today.
Now that we’ve moved to Maryborough, and Penny’s knee is on the mend, it’s time to collect some caches in our "new” local area.
This was a nice, quick find today.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log are in good shape.
Regards
Ian & Penny

All roads seem to lead to Bauple. On the way to Bundaberg for the night on our way to Townsville for the Mega, with Team de Ville (Imbunda, Peppa, and patrol14). TFTC.
We’re on our way to The Ville… stopping tonight in Bundaberg we have a selection of caches to find… and this cache didn’t make the list…. Crazy Challenge Caches…
With TMZ59 at the wheel, Patrol14 up front and imbunda and I in the back… just don’t look out my window Imbunda!!
I’m now questioning my life choices after spending hours on “the list” but mention of another Challenge in Dayboro saw a quick stop here…
Tftc… at least it’s not raining…

First day of our trip to Townsville, we (Peppa, TMZ59 and Imbunda) have stopped for a few caches before Maryborough. Had to stop for this one because of an attribute needed for a challenge somewhere. A quick find SL then returned as found.
Found on 9 April 2022. TFTC, gotadollarmate.

Repaired cache the best we could, and replaced damaged and full log book and zip tie bag... All good now.
Bauple sounds like an interesting place to visit. We have been through before but did not see all it had to offer it seems. We didn't have time for the turn off today but parked on the side road and crossed the highway between traffic which was a bit scary but luckily not too busy so actually OK.
Found some 10c rubbish on the side of the road to make the trip extra worthwhile and soon located the cache in an apparently common location although not one that we often come across. Good solid cache.

TFTC. We had not been out in a little while and with a new souviner in the offing we decided to head out along the Netherby Road and then circle back to Maryborough via Bauple. We had not been along these road previously so it was a leisurely trip. We attempted and found 22 caches in the Tiaro-Gundiah-Bauple area. Thnaks to the CO’s for putting these out so we could explore the area.
We have been staying in Maryborough and today we moved to Tiaro and are chasing down the caches in the vicinity. SL TFTC
I found this cache on a trip with Snickersallan, I thank all CO's for the time and effort putting out and maintaining the caches, all were enjoyed. TFTC
On our way home from a great week caching in and around beautiful Maryborough.
Another cute little place to pass through and grab a quick cache.

As I was getting close to MB I made a few stops for caches along the Bruce Hwy.
Turning the road into a smiling one
Thank you for hiding this cache

Stopped the car and got out to find this cache. Very little car traffic while looking, but in saying that, cache found quickly. TFTC
Day 1 of our QOGM Road Trip and we are making our way from Brisbane to Maryborough. Another quick find as we keep heading north. Thanks.
Found a small space in the log book to make our mark. Many thanks gotadollarmate.

I took a detour from Tiaro this morning,
and parked the geomobile close to this cache
Zooming in the GPS display revealed that this cache was in the last spot I hoped it would be [:o]
I sat in the geomobile for a minute or two ... grumbling,
and trying to work up the courage to go and get the cache
Aw !! What the 'eck !!
You only live once !!
Time for another game of Frogger [:o)]
Patience is the key,
and after a few minutes,
a gap in the traffic opened up ...
... *bolt* ...
And there I was on t'other side
A quick cache find once I ignored the obvious
Righto !!
Time to head back to the geomobile ...
... which reminded me of a scene from the movie GATTACA
TFTC ... I think ??!!

After a detour off the highway to find the cache in Bauple we were back on the road and stopped to check on this one. I was a bit worried about walking along the side of the highway with so many cars flying past at 100kph. Luckily it was a quick find and I hurried back to the car to get out of there.

Hurtling down the highway at 100 km/h, it sometimes requires some keen teamwork to pull over and find cache roadside. I have driven past this cache a few times but today I had a navigator that was on the ball. She even raced across the road to make a quick find. This got me to thinking about some geo-scenarios where teamwork is and isn't required.
Teamwork Required:
1) I will hold the muddy, dirty cache if you can sign the log
2) I'm researching caches, can you fill my wine glass?
3) I think I can reach the cache if your credit card can take me out later
3) I can't solve this mystery cache in the missionary position
Of course there are always scenarios where geo-teamwork is a disadvantage.
Teamwork NOT Required
1) This cache needs the toilet seat put down
2) I'm pretty sure all the suspicious bark was lined up at a 32 degree angle
3) Your geo-mother in law said.... something, something, blah, something.
I was impressed with how Mrs Woodyrothwell took on the traffic and found the hide. tftc

Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log.JABs.
We have set up camp Tiaro. Just a few caches left to do before we head to Maryborough tomorrow,
A good variety of locations & caches. found.

Bit of difficulty finding a park as the trucks are whizzing past like rockets. Easily found and log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC

Had to drop the kids back to their mums house today so made the drive from Hervey Bay back down to Beaudesert. Luckily had no time restraints on the way home so why not make the most of it and cache along the highway. Somehow turned a 5 hour trip into a 7 hour trip but hey, it was worth it right?
This one was a pretty straight forward park and grab. Constant traffic heading up and down the highway so I had to make it look like I was doing something useful. Taking a photo of the sign was my cover story, should anyone stop and question me.
However, they didn't so I took a photo anyway, the log was signed and replaced and I was on my way

One more day with the wrong winds so no possibility to go paragliding. For me one more day to discover Australia and search for some caches. This one was a quick find.

Not my favourite spot for caching! Felt very vulnerable standing here with traffic belting passed so close. TFTC
Roadtrip Day 1: Brisbane to Rockhampton. This cache tested my stealth skills. As I was slowing down to pull over, I noticed everyone in front of me was too. Turns out the road was down to one lane due to road works and the was a queue forming. Also, a car got rear-ended right next to me. Perfect distraction to grab a cache! TFTC.
Found at 12:20 PM GAFF1.
We are on our way to Cabulture and stopping just for the easier more accessible caches as we are towing a large van. This one fitted the bill
So macadamia nuts really are native to Australia!

Picked up this one on the drive back to Brisbane. Lots of roadworks along the Bruce at the moment ... so one more quick stop will hardly make a difference to the travel time will it darling?
