Cool finally found this one kids loved it!

07-Sep-19
Wow, what a cool little garden. It was a bit late in the day so did not have a proper look, but what I saw was well maintained and there were a lot of people enjoying the surroundings. Made sure I went out a different way than I came in. TFTC Sidewaze, cool spot.

I had planned to go boating today with some colleagues, but apparently the recent bad weather has made it not clear enough for snagging crayfish, so with the day free I decided instead on a trip over the hill to snag some caches.
Good fun today, a nice mixture including some wherigos and a virtual and they were all in pretty good shape. Thanks to all COs.

13-Apr-19
Thanks for getting this cache up and going again sidewaze. Was I quick find on the way to pick up pizza for tea. To me this cache has been one off those caches that every time I drive past it I say to myself that I must stop and get it.....one day. I have had to walk away a couple of times due to muggles. Thanks for the cache sidewaze.

14-Jan-19
GPS points to inside locked area...

11-Jan-19
It could not be found

26-Dec-18
Quiet tricky as the photo was misleading. Anyway finally found it based on the hint. TFTC will return tomorrow to sign the log. Sheet is a bit damp.

24-Dec-18
No luck with this one, coordinates seemed to be a bit off but I don't think I wasn't looking in the right places anyway

14-Dec-18
Tregearp and I have seen noted this cache on the map many times but always seemed to have other priorities. This afternoon we had a few minutes so parked nearby and enjoyed the walk to the GZ. A muggle was enjoying the peace in the nearby seat so stealth and quiet was needed, but cache was soon in hand for a quick sign and replace. Log book has absorbed a bit of atmospheric moisture but still okay and no water in cache. Thanks again for another Sidewaze cache.

14-Dec-18
Out and about with SJT_NZ and this one was a quick find on a lovely afternoon, a few muggles about but SJT came up with the goods. TFTC

12-Dec-18
Stopped to look for this one back in June when we were just starting our attempt at a streak and didn't find it. Maybe it was impatience, maybe muggles, maybe the impending rain. Anyway, I was in a rush and headed off and found a different one. The other day I took Andy along to use his eyes to see what I obviously couldn't but we were thwarted by the gardener. Today I went back and this time I actually managed to find it, possibly due to the gardens now being nice and neat. Anyway, log signed and another one ticked off. Day 182. tftc

04-Nov-18
Log book is damp and cache may need rehiding as it was considerable distance from coordinates. Lovely Sunday evening find

cruzifix

One part of cruzifix is spending now a very exciting and beautiful half year on the South Island of New Zealand. Then of course he must also make a geocache.
Wink
This was Chosen - and here in Germany I can only see the pictures of this park and listen to my brother's tales - the park must be really nice! Cool
Thanks for this geocache! Or as you say in Germany: "Thanks for laying and caring!" Big Grin
TFTC and many greetings from Richmond and from Germany, too!

Tfc was a sneaky hide , reading comments helps!

We came over for the Mary Hyde event but came the night before to make sure we made it. After check-in and some dinner we decided to go for a few close caches and because we had already DNFed this nearly a year ago it was one I wanted to have another go at. It was completely dark and trying to pick which path to take was a gamble and of course we picked wrong first so a little backtrack and then onto the right path. I cant believe how quickly we found it this time. More experience or more determination? Not distracted by the cute wee kitty? Who knows? It doesnt matter. We can now the claim this smilie. Thanks for the cache Smile

25-Jun-17
While the rest of the family are at the mall, the dog and me went for a walk to stretch both our legs . Quick find and sign while nobody about. Grabbed the TB to move on. Thanks for the cache.

Thank you. Took a couple of attempts

Woohoo #500!
Having failed here a long time ago, it seemed like a great place to being up my milestone. Fantastic setting to sit and enjoy my lunch before searching. Almost exactly a year since discovering this odd pastime, my geosence has been tuned well enough to find reasonably quickly this time.
Also I wanted a Sidewaze cache for my 500th - having got hooked on caching early on by roaming around the moutere finding many a country placement.
Thanks to all cache owners for brightening my caching experience.
Thanks Sidewaze for this cache and the many other good hides.
Now on to the next 500!

25-Feb-17
Was just starting to search when I got a call from SWMBO tol meet her at Richmond Mall for lunch. Who am I to deny her summons?Surprised Well, the cache will just have to wait.

22-Feb-17
Searched for ages but no luck. Maybe Lorna Harry and Jip can find it and bring over the track able if it's still there

09-Feb-17
I Agree that the sign is misleading. Had a lovely morning with the little in this park. Easy find for miss three.

05-Feb-17
Can back to this spot to eat ice cream and have another look. This time successfully. Cheers.

Exploring around Richmond, Stoke and Nelson. There are a few caches around here!!

Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

2740 Last one for the day. Followed my GPS and ended up inside. After not being able to GZ I backed up and went round. Once on the right track I soon had cache in hand.

At last! My smartphone is not super-accurate, so I have been feeling not very smart during this hunt! But, i agree, the sign is mis-leading! Tftc

A beautiful park so close to the town. There were lots of muggles lying in the grass enjoying a lunchtime break. Fortunately all was quiet at GZ. TFTC sidewaze.

Found with NZDi. We had to come across the hill today to do the last of our Christmas shopping, starting in Nelson and finishing up in Richmond. After the shopping was completed we had a couple of hours spare to do some caching in the local area before heading home.

We managed to find 10 in total which worked out to be eight 'traditionals' with a 'puzzle' at the beginning and end to 'bookend' them. After getting BGSc 101, we headed to this section of the Great Taste Trail to get a quick half dozen 'traditionals'.

After getting half a dozen 'traditionals' on the Great Taste Trail either side of the Appleby over-bridge, we were about to head home when NZDi remembers a last bit of shopping she need to do, so we headed back into Richmond. While she was in shopping, I checked out the area for some more handy caches and when she returned we took a short walk and got another three.

This was the first and provided us with a bit of consternation until NZDi discovered the track that took us to GZ where we had a QEF thanks to accurate coordinates.

On Wed 14th the brand new Oregon 700 crashed (for the second time these holidays) and lost all caches from the Nelson PQ. So visited the Richmond Library to note down the coordinates and details for a handful of essential Nelson caches... this was one of them. An evening stroll to explore a few Richmond streets. Found the way - but it was closed to change the display. Lovely gardens - and the old gaol!

12-Dec-16
Found it easily. Helped that we saw another group leave this area

29-Nov-16

In Richmond for a couple days to surprise Dad on his 70th B'day. Mid afternoon and gathered the extended family in the gardens to try and take a few 'family' photo's - hopefully one or two good enough to print on canvas for Dad! Nice wee walk & after a bit of a looksee came up with the cache. Cheers. Grew up in Richmond & used to spend a bit of time playing and pottering through these gardens...and damming the stream! Cheers.

What a pretty little Park, had us hunting around with directions being pointed to a closed area, but after quite a bit of searching and a couple of visits came across this well hidden cache. Just as well its not Aussie you would certainly need to be careful.
Thanks Sidewaze for a good cache.

29-Jul-16
Tried looking without success in ther dark tonight with crappy little headtorches. Got to 2-3m and found the closed in (fernery?) but we were on the wrong side. We did find a pretty friendly pussycat but he didnt want to devulge the cache location. Make sure to stick to the path, the grass is SLIPPERY when moist. Thanks anyway we will have to come back in the dayligh another time.

18-Jul-16
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! Smile TFTC.

18-Jul-16
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us Razz we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Finally made it to Sunny Nelson, definitely one of my favourite places.

21-May-16
Found on our second attempt. TFTC.

16-May-16
Always nice to walk thru here. TFTC.

A Sunday unexpectedly up my sleeve, mrs capperz at work for the morning, nightowl19 round a friends house and just me and Tally the dog with (potentially) a whole day to kill time. Only one thing for it then, a trip 'over the hill'. On the list of wants was a full set of 8 recently listed eggs and a second look at some caches that last time I came were either missing, or I missed when looking. I've got a whole collection of solved puzzles burning a hole in my G P S too so keen to turn them into smilies if possible. Some I've had solved since prior to moving down here to the Mainland so keen to convert.
All up a successful trip; 35 caches found, 18 puzzles and 17 traditional caches. All 8 eggs were cracked, including a dirty half dozen before noon, got all the numbers required and will go for the final another time. A lovely sunny day today to herald the change of daylight saving and my smoke alarm tested itself, at 0430 this morning!!
Back into the eggs phase of the day, 10 puzzles just found, time for some traditional caches to settle the stomach
After coming up through town I parked nearby at the edge of this park which I don't think I've been to before. Headed to one corner on the outside of the fernery and after trying the outer door realized it was ,locked so headed under and around and up onto the path. From there I faffed a bit and searched all the wrong places before hitting paydirt and finding the cache.
Nice place which I will have to bring mrs capperz to next time in town

Finally found it after searching every Tuesday evening for a number of weeks! Funny that it was in the first place I looked but missed! I spent a lot of time inside though as that's where the gps coordinates took me... a nice place to look, but not for this cache!

21-Mar-16
Out and about in Richmond this lunchtime to find a couple of caches to fill a calendar day (only 9 gaps left now) and sought out this path I had never seen before.

A nice wee walk, but needed the hint to zero in on the well hidden cache container.

Thanks
