I havent had time to maintain this cache properly, sadly i must let it go and make room for someone else.
Found it. TFTC Bristag. Quick find here today. The log was full so I left a new log.
What a magic day to drop in here and pick up this wee baby. We easily found a bit of blank space to make our mark. Thanks for setting this one up.
Came to Dowerin to see the tin dog, geocaches are a bonus.

Approached the cache from the right direction and spied it as I was walking up.
——-
After conferring with the boss I organised for a leave pass for the weekend, that got extended for a second night, and headed out to the Wheatbelt to join fellow caches.
Day 3 started slowly but got fast quickly, I packed down the tent and loaded up the car before joining a group heading to the top of Kwolyin Rock to grab the cache before hitting the road.
With the slower day Friday this was going to be the big drive day picking up as many LGA’s as possible, I ended the day with 7 new LGA’s bringing the weekend total to 12 ticked off my list and getting closer to my 100 LGA’s by the end of the year.
——-
Thanks Bristag for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2263 for me.

Out today finding some caches Bristagi found your cache Tin dog - Dowerin this is find number 1586 for me TFTH
Found while visiting from Canberra. A quick find as we drove through town. TFTC
Found a broken magnet in the information bay, not sure if that is related to the cache. Didn't find the cache. First time looking, perhaps we missed it.
First geocache kids nearly gave up, then we found it! Oh the excitement. Going to find another now

Hi there Bristag.
We found your cache **"Tin dog - Dowerin"** at 11:11:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22326).
We are heading from SA to WAGB in Northam & we stopped off in Dowering on the way through. Now that we've settled in a nearby caravan park we have taken the opportunity to head out and find some of the caches we had couldn't have done with a caravan in tow.
We found 10 caches today & DNF'd 2. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Thanks for taking me here we drove through last night missing all this in the dark. So I was glad to come back and explore today.
Happy Australia Day! What better way for a cacher to celebrate our national day than to pick up some great Aussie caches. While passing through Dowerin with ilook4geo, we decided to pick up some of the caches in town and this was a nice easy find. Our thanks go to Bristag for this cache placement featuring the town mascot.
Hot and windy for Australia Day, but not too bad. Out caching with goingplaces2 and we had a fairly good day. All found caches had logs signed and were put back properly before we left. TFTC.
TFTC easy find once we thought about it. Great to check out the Tin Dog too. Having fun finding with family muggles in Dowerin.
Nice neat little cache. Goodexcuse to stop and stretch the bones etc. and check out the 'Tin Dog' which is a credit to the town and its creators. Lovely little town with a good vibe.
Stopped here on the way home from the field days. Nice & straight forward find - TFTC Bristag!
Quick stop as we head for the Dowerin Feild Day. Cache found easily and in good condition. Tftc
Day 70 of our 366 day straight challenge. Off on a camping trip with the family and of course we are caching on the way.
Parked up at the info bay to realise there was a sleeping child in the back. As hubby had to go to the hardware store I sent geo-stepson to GZ to retrieve the cache which he found quite easily. TFTC

Out for a couple of days caching, with the Geoson in the northern wheatbelt. Hopefully knocking off a few more lga's off the list.
Despite the weather, some fantastic finds and a few dnf's were had.
A big thanks to all the co's for placing and maintaining these hide. Great work showing off some real gems of the wheatbelt.

Found this cache on our way to the OZ Geo Muster at Morisset NSW.
Love this spot. We found the cache quickly but stayed around to enjoy morning tea and take a few photos. Mac our Jack Russell now has a photo with Rusty.
thanks

Well it’s now day 15 of our Northern adventure , now more Eastern adventure as we head south of the Great Eastern Hwy with m4yb, Jonathan the camper trailer and Max the GeoUte.
Out for a day in this nice area.
Nice container maybe not quite what I was expecting!
Thanks for the smiley Bristag

Day 15 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. After a quiet night on the farm at Wyalkatchem, we are exploring the surrounding towns.
Cute cache and a NEF, once again very glad not a nano on the metal object of the name!

After a lovely meal at the pub we set out in the dark to find this one. After a quick search Leega appeared with the cache in hand. Log signed and returned and on to the next one. TFTC Bristag
This started off a little daunting for axell33 and I! A large metal structure and darkness! Then a bright light shone on our predicament and we soon had cache in hand! On a golden run through the wheatbelt. A long way from home and time to cache! The crops look like paddocks of gold and ready for harvest. Making our way up to Watheroo then winding across to Kellerberrin. Tyftc.
My word, Bristag is everywhere. A quick find here on the way out of town after completing the Dowerin Discovery series.
This is a very pleasant and tidy town which obviously takes great care in looking after itself. Cheers, and will be back for the Field Days next year, if not before.
Thanks for the cache, Bristag; it's in great condition.

Catching up on a number of logs I haven't done from trips to Busselton, Dowerin, Katanning and a couple of other places in between and my apologies for the late logs.
A quick find after attending the Dowerin Field Day. A few muggles nearby but was able to find sign and replace without attracting attention.
Thanks for the cache Bristag [^] - we made the find and the cache was in good order and the log dry .
This was find # 1 of 2 and 0 today giving us a total cache count of 3418.

I was in town for the field day and I wanted to find all the caches in the town while I was here. After having a look around, I decided to go to the first geocache, #3. A quick find was made, and I was off to the next one, but I had to double back after realising I had foolishly not taken notice of the clue for the final. At #2, I made a quick find of the cache, though the camo is broken and will need maintenance. At #1, I had trouble finding the cache. The clue led me to believe that the cache was a swaggie pitched near GZ. Short story shorter, It was not. I decided to leave this one for now and went on to the Bristag cache by the information bay, where I made a quick find. #5 was a quick find (with had a neat hint) and #6 was found with minimal hassle. #4 on the other hand, was too difficult for me. After searching for 15 minutes, I decided to give up and go get lunch.
I was wondering whether I would be able to work out the final while still missing the T and D of ‘TIN DOG’. I decided to give the unfound caches another crack. I walked back to #1, but I had to wait for muggles to leave the nearby gazebo. After they left, I started searching and my persistence was rewarded when I saw a glint of the cache. With renewed determination, I headed over to #4. Once there, I began a systematic search of hiding spots that the hint could be referring to. I searched every spot I could think of and somehow stumbled upon the cache. I can’t believe I missed it the first time. It just goes to show that anything could be the cache.
I went back inside the grounds for a brief time, before heading off. Before I left, I went to find the final. I parked as close as I could get (still an odd 200m or so) and walked to GZ. With accurate coords, I made a quick find at GZ and concluded my day.
Thanks WebblyWA for a great series, and Bristag for your cache. I was able to get plenty of exercise while running back and forth across Dowerin. I would definitely recommend paying a visit to this interesting town. The caches helped me explore all parts of the town including my favourite structure, the converted drive-in movie theatre.
Bristag, I found your cache ‘Tin dog - Dowerin’ today. It was the third find of eight finds for me today and brings my total count to 842. The cache was found in a good condition so I added my signature to the log book and I replaced it as I found it. Thank you for the cache, the hide and for bringing me to this location.
I’m looking forward to meeting other geocachers at WA Goes Big in 2017. Log your will attend at https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6TD11_wa-goes-big-in-2017.

I had to stop for a stretch & went searching and low & behold what do I you know. A great little cache
Well talk about a delay in logging! Time has just flown by since I undertook this awesome LGA weekend with PommieParkin. Due to the delay, you will have to excuse the generic log.
PP2 enquired as to whether I would like to go on an adventure to get some more LGA's under our belts, to which I said of course! Set out on the Saturday to head up into the Wheatbelt for the weekend. We first stopped at Northam to do one or two of the Bristag caches I had heard so much good things about. Unfortunately we only managed one, but it did not disappoint!
From there we headed east through Meckering, Cunderdin and Tammin (knocking off a couple of LGA's). From there, we headed north to Wyalkatchem, stopping at a couple of interesting places for caches. I particularly enjoyed the stop at Yorkrakine Rock, it was such a beautiful spot.
We finally reached Wylie, where we were staying the night. Before the day was over we completed the wonderful series by WebblyWA, which gave us a great tour of the town. Once the caching was over, we met up with WebblyWA at night and had the pleasure to experience a drive-in cinema in Koorda, which was conveniently another LGA
On the Sunday, we finished off the caches we had on our list in Wylie and headed west towards Dowerin, where WebblyWA had another series. It was another great series and the final ended up being my 1000th cache found!
From there, we kept heading west to Goomalling for another LGA. This was where our LGA hunt was meant to stop. But, it was here that the LGA bug got to me and it became a case of "well if we just travel half an hour this way, we can get another LGA". So after little time spent convincing PP2, we headed north to Wongan Hills, stopping in Konnongorring for some great views at Gabby Quoi Quoi. Unfortunately, Wongan Hills cemetery was where we had our first DNF of the weekend, meaning our hopes of another LGA were riding on the one other cache in town. Luckily it was an easy enough find.
We then headed west towards Calingiri for one last LGA, stopping to admire Lake Ninan on the way (can't believe there isn't a cache there!). The cache in Calingiri was found, putting my total of LGA's found on the weekend to 8.
I had such an awesome weekend exploring this part of our great state. Many thanks go to the various CO's of the caches. But, I would particularly like to thank PP2 for suggesting the weekend, WebblyWA for some great series and Kyzabra for coming up with the LGA challenge, without which I probably wouldn't have explored this great area.

Oh hello fancy finding Bristag out here Maccasreps & I are spending a lovely couple of days in Unchartered territory. Dowerin seems to be a lovely Country Town, it's shut of course, because it's Sunday.....sshh don't wake them up! TFTC
It felt like I have seen Rusty before.... yep...thanks for hiding the new cache near the Tin Dog. We took some photos and also found a cache.
A couple of weeks ago, I was looking for something to do over the Australia Day weekend. A camping trip sprung to mind.
Checked with the geoson, he was keen, so a plan was hatched for a trip to Kalgoorlie and the northern goldfields.
The gear was sorted, the car was packed and
Day 1: We left early heading towards Kalgoorlie. The plan was to grab a few caches, north of the highway to cross off some LGAs, then cache along the Great Eastern Highway from Merredin to Kalgoorlie.
Our first stop of the day here. Grabbed the cache and paused for a photo with the puppy.
Bristag - SVKR_WA found your cache Tin dog - Dowerin on 26/1/17, 08:00. This is my find #1779 and find #1 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

A nice quick find here [^]
I decided to pack the swag and head away for a 24hr road trip and made plans to head up north to grab caches in a few more counties for a challenge that I have my eye on completing . I scoped out a route that would give me 7 more WA counties and also targeted quite a few of the archived caches that are seemingly still in play [^]. I had a fantastic time caching up here and a huge thanks to all the CO's for the effort in placing the caches!
Bristag - jinta29 found your cache Tin dog - Dowerin. This is my find #6071 and find #10 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for the time and effort taken to place this cache!

Mentioned to muggle the other day that I needed three more LGAs to reach 90 to complete a challenge so he devised a route for us to go so I could get a few more. I added to the route so after 1350km in total and 36hrs return trip back home to Bunbury I got 16 LGAs all up which I'm happy with and 35 cache finds
Yesterdays travel was Bunbury to Pingelly, Quairading, Bruce Rock, Narembeen, Merredin, Carrabin, Moorine Rock and back to Merredin to recouperate
After getting back into town after caching last night at 9.50pm and a not so comfy sleep in one of the local motels it was up and earlyish start for the morning as today is Nungarin, Kununoppin, Mukinbudin, Welbungin, Bencubbin, Koorda, Trayning (an extra I added at the last moment), Wyalkatchem, Dowerin, Goomalling, Northam, Greenmount and back to Bunbury
Can't wait to travel todays towns again but next time spend some time looking around the towns and going to the museums
I have never been to any of these todays wheatbelt towns (those listed prior to Goomalling) before so thoroughly enjoyed our 'for now' quick visit
Another town and a few more caches to find. Like Wylie we aren't planning to find all here, just after a few for now and we will be back another time to find the rest.
And also like the Welcome to Wylie cache I had forgot to download that one, these few here and the Goomalling caches to my gps so lucky I have my typed sheet to grab co-ords off for a waypoint to hopefully head me in the right direction.
After a quick stop of at Rusty it was time to come over here and find a cache. Muggle went off to read signage while I easily found the cache but no pen in my pocket so back to the car to grab one.
SL and replaced as found

Headed back up to Geraldton for another caching run (third time this year). We started off by picking up as many caches as we could in the wheatbelt on the first day before arriving in Geraldton. The next day we headed up to port Gregory and Kalbarri and the highlight of the day would have to be be the pink lakes in port Gregory. Day 3 saw us caching in Geraldton picking up some we missed last time and clearing up a few of our DNFS here before adding some more DNFS to the list. Day 4 we headed off to mount magnet picking up some caches along the way till we arrived there. I must say the caches in mount magnet were quite tricky to find and it was also a stinking hot day so we didn't get to find all the caches we were hoping to find there. The last day we cached along the coast on the way home. Once again it was stinking hot and we missed doing a lot of the caches we hoped to find plus the flies were driving us crazy but we still got to visit some great places. Most of the caches we looked for we did find and we came across some very sneaky well made cache containers along the way. Thanks to all the CO,s for placing there caches for us and all the other geocachers to find.
Had a look around but there were muggles about so didn't search as throughly as we could have.
Found it whilst attending the Dowerin field day with muggle son, who spotted cache straight away
Going on a Sunday drive with MONF this was our first find for the day.
Really cold in Dowerin today.

Didnt find it - but found a circular magnet with evidence of glue on it - found and destroyed by a muggle??? I found magnet on top of dog around the shoulder area.
Stopped past and checked on this this morning, cache is still in good condition and has plenty of room in the log. Happy caching
Thought it would be on the dog but soon realized our mistake. Excellent cache thst blends in so well. Really nice park. Tftc
