I am archiving this cache since there's been no action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Sorry, Ive just seen the requests re updates on this one. They went into my Junk box. Im probably not going to do anything further with this cache. However Ill take the remainder of my 30 days, i.e. another two weeks, to make a final decision!
I carried out a “maintenance run” of most of my Northwest Passage caches today. Unfortunately the wood holding this cache container has rotted and therefore is not able to hold the container in place.
I have removed the container itself and am disabling the cache in the meantime while I figure its future.

Quick find with very accurate coordinates. As others have noted, log is not signable so poc attached. TFTC
Found it - I think the whole cache is in need of replacing though. No lid on the cache so nothing to stop water getting in, logbook was too wet to be able to sign.
Log sodden. Lay it in the wind for a bit to try and dry but far soggy.
Nice hide though
Nice hide though
Easy find however cache and log quite wet. Photo just in case the ink washes away. Tftc!
A nice quick find thanks. Some dog walker had tossed a doggie bag almost next to the GZ. ********.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Yus back on the road again, and crusing around Tawa. Porirua and Titahi Bay. A showery morning but the rest of the day has been great.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

With the days drawing towards their shortest, it can be harder to get out and about for a good bout of caching. I knew I needed to get one really solid day in during May, so put the call out to see if anyone else would be interested in a raid on Tawa.
A few parties showed interest, but in the end it was just The Seagnoid and I that parked up at Brasenose Place and then spent over 9 hours tramping a basic 'Figure of 8' along the bushwalks that border Broken Hill Road and on to the slopes of Colonial Knob Scenic Reserve, getting over 40 caches each with just a couple of DNF's along the way.
I used to live in Tawa, many many moons ago, and would often take my dogs walking up this stretch of the track along towards Westhaven, so it was nice to have those memories come back to me today.
tS spotted this one, thanks to some rotten/damaged wood which quite revealed where the cache was hidden. Apart from the lid missing from the container, there were no issues encountered with the log, which was signed before the whole lot was replaced as found and we were back on our way again.
Thank you for setting up and maintaining this cache

After trolling Facebook looking for a place to live, I saw that TwigNZ was looking to a group to do the Tawa "figure 8". I had a spare day, so why not. After 9 hours we found over 40 caches on the slopes beside and up to Colonial Knob. I completed today's objectives (find a cache for my streak find 3 caches to get my finds to 10 finds per date, a puzzle and an "other" for my puzzle and other dot days) and also found some archived caches, a cache released today (third to find), a geocacher, hardly any people and three trees (also some more trees...).
A great day to get some caching in. A nice quick find here thanks to your hint. Easy as I had the place to myself. So the log book has been signed and dated and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
Not many places to look at GZ so gave some objects closer inspection and soon had in hand. Was there meant to be a lid for the cache container? Double bagged just in case. TFTC.
Thanks tbird53 for placing this cache
It was a cool style of hide and all nice and dry in it's plastic bag but maybe it's meant to have an outer container too?
The trails here are fun to ride and I'm sure I'll be back for more another day!!

Last one for the day! Not too tricky compared to others today. Lid/bottom may be missing- pulled plastic bag out tho and all dry. Once again- thanks heaps tbird!
Found with aeshna_uk. We drove up to check up on a house listed for sale and went for a walk afterwards. Bit of a climb to get here but a quick find once we did. TFTC!
All good in here but some gnawing critter has been at work The container is just visible if one is observant Perhaps worth keeping an eye on it TFTC
At GZ there was a muggle that would not go away and asked what I was doing. He was very interested in geocaching so I showed him the process. The container lid is missing but everything is well with the log sheet. Thanks CO for the cache.
What a great series of caches up here, all very creative. This was a quick find in a clever hiding place. Thanks for providing parking co-ordinates, it meant I managed to find the cache within a few minutes of leaving the car! TFTC
The wind was unpleasant round here so we didn’t linger after finding the cache. TFTC
Out with -gonefishing- for an afternoon stroll to pick up a few more caches towards Mystery At The Museum.
A nice quick find but it was a pity so see a number of bagged up dog turds around the area. TFTC

.Quick find here. Cheers
In Wellington for a couple of days for meetings and catching up with family and friends. Today I have some shopping to do in Porirua but time to explore afterwards as long as the rain stays away.

Out with Talla64 exploring an area we have never been before. We parked the car at the Spicer Reserve car park and slowly made our way along this well-formed path picking up caches here and there. Nice hide, worth a FP. Although the lid is missing it's still OK. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about with Flowerydaze in a new area for us. Left a rainy Kapiti to find a sunny Porirua. Nice Hide and rather sneaky although as others have noted the lid has disappeared. Still all in place in the plastic bag so awarded a FP from me. TFTC
A steeper walk than it looks but huffing and puffing meant our eyes did the work needed. No lid, but it seems to be staying put. Tftc
Carried out maintenance check today. The lid has disappeared and I don’t have a replacement. However I did replace the plastic bag. The cache seems capable of staying in place without a lid, so it’ll stay that way meantime .... or indefinitely!
Sneaky hide but quick find! Log a bit water damaged but can still write on it easy enough. Tftc!
We had sat and planned at a nearby cache and decided we had time for a short walk before we needed to go on the way to the ferry. This cache appealed so we went to the parking spot and saw the way to go to the cache. The area to check was clear from the GPS so it was a quick but not immediate find. Then we had time to decide on the way to go to look got another cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Find #2811. A walk was in order for the day so decided to head up this way again and collect a few caches. Parked the car at the top of Chastudon Place. Pleased to see the track has been cleared and even more pleased to see the new MTB track link to Spicer car park, which means I can do a loop walk.
Quickly found this one, requiring nifty fingers. Good hide. SL TFTC

This short series has been on my radar for a while. Today I had an hour to kill so time for a walk. I hit on the cache here almost immediately having read the hint as I approached.
TFTC, +FP for a more creative hide than we usually see around Wellington.

Initially looked in the wrong area, but as the GPSr settled and as I read previous logs I changed my search area. Found a short while later in an unexpected place. TFTC.
Out prospecting a new walkway - yes a new cache (or 2) may even appear along it - so it would be impolite to find the nearest cache just so I know where I can possibly place other caches .
An easy and quick find. Log signed then it was back down the path and back to the car.
With the successful purchase[^] of the Forest of Tane and the opening up of that area, it will give me another incentive to wander further up the ridge to check out the sights.
Many thanks for the cache and hide.

My first visit to this location. It didn't take me long to figure out where the cache was but it did take me a little while to get to the logsheet.
I've been meaning to check out the access along here for a while now, since the wind farm access road has been opened up to the public, so Mrs gonefishing and I took a stroll after dinner. It was a bit blustery this evening, but surpisingly sheltered along most of the walkway we checked out. With bang on coordinates, it didn't take long to figure this one out.

Stopped to read the sign then checked the GPS which indicated I was "real close". Huh? Had a bit of a think then, of course. Nice hide in an area I hadn't visited before.
I enjoyed my walk here this afternoon and finding the nicely hidden caches along the way. I noticed something a little strange here and after closer inspection I had it found. Cheers and TFTC
Out for an afternoon walk. Swapped phone for GPS to get an accurate fix on this one, and there it was. Sneaky little hide! TFTC
A quick peek at my phone before it totally ran out of charge showed I was right on a cache! I sussed where it was using the hint but extracting it took a little longer. I'm glad I have strong fingernails... TFTC!
Good start to the power trail. Easily located after a short search. TFTC & clever hide.
Decided to take the geo-hounds for a walk along with Mycro Man today. We spotted this track but had no idea how tough or easy it would be. Luckily after the first 100m it was a lovely walk and each of the caches nicely crafted. Mycro Man was amazed at most of them and confused when he couldn't find them when he looked at those same spots. Thanks for a lovely walk, great hides and a good few hours out of the house
#2063. I was saving this one for a night when I needed some quick caches. Tonight was the night. Nice and clear with a bright moon. Headed up the access route and soon spied the hiding spot. I had already seen where this was hidden on an earlier trip so made for an instant find. Signed the log which was dry and returned the cache as found. Nicely done hide. Blends in very well. Thanks for the cache
Today was a dot day for TregearP and I so we decided to do this trail which we hadn't been on before.
All the caches nicely done. Found all pretty straight forward, but enjoyed the effort that had gone into the hides.
All in good order, TNLNSL, TFTC.

This is a lovely trail and great for pine cone collection as winter is coming. Thanks tbird53 for the clever hides, search took a little longer on a few but admired the skill.
A new Trail of caches in the area since I was last visiting my sister...so off I headed with the geopups. Guessed where the cache was hiding fairly quick...signed and we were off back up the trail. TFTC
The GPS had me heading towards the wrong item to search, but soon worked where I needed to be (it would help if I read the cache name). Soon found the cache in a familiar looking hide, given that I had found one just like it only 10 minutes before! TFTC
Ok... gps says 0m but there's nothing here... let's think for a minute, oh yep there it is, it's going to be that sort of day then. Clever hide, giving a favourite for this trail.

Nicely hidden but I spotted it very quickly. A wee while since I've been up this way, for a previous cache I think but I guess that must be gone.

Quick find with UlmusLynx and Gilgul before attending lunchtime event at Midland Park TFTC
Great not having to walk through long grass and the access track was not steep for long. UlmusLynx began the day finding the cache while Selesi and I bided our time.
Took the day off work so could find some caches on this once every four years day. Thought I knew better than the CO and convinced selesi and gilgul we could approach this series from Tip side and walk our way down.. Got turned back by a concerned worker because the reasonable traffic of trucks etc. anyway started up behind Poly Palace and up a steep bank at a gateway (looked like a number of muggles had done likewise at some time). Pleased got onto the track proper as not bad path with cut grass etc. Selesi didnt take to find this one. TFTC
Decided to come for a walk this afternoon and hunt out this new series. I'm glad I did - they're well executed caches, highly reocmmended with nice innovative hides and good accurate coordinates. This one took me the longest as I had no experience of the CO's hiding style. Found the nicely hidden cache after about 10 minutes, signed log, thanks for the cache!
Very nicely done! Just got this one today, will save the others for another day TFTC
Found on an enjoyable early morning visit to the area. This is very nicely hidden, and is well worth a favourite point. Thanks very much for the cache.
Found today with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter. Nice cache, steep start. Thanks!

A short jaunt with Violet Butterfly and The Wandering Dragons to get TWD's daily cache. Thanks!
Cache # 573
Cache # 573
Cache # 3,022 - a very rough start to this trail, obviously still being formed properly. Amazing the amount of blackberry bushes removed to do this. A very clever cache, but quickly found. Did today with Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly. Worth a favourite point. TFTC!
Came up to do this as I noticed that another of the series has just listed. A quick find and a nice little hide. TFTC
After 2 DNF's I approached this one with some trepidation... but I needed a cache for today. I needn't have worried, Getting to the area was much easier than I thought it would be, and then I started looking around....and around....and eventually something clicked and I found it! Well done, a really clever hide, so have a well deserved FP. On the way back down to the car, I grabbed and ate the first blackberry of the season (bot I'd reckon most of them are a fortnight off being ripe). TFTC.
#7471. Took the Northwest Passage from Chastudon Place this morning. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Very nice views from up here. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Clever hide. Gps put me right on the spot. Still had to sit back and think where it could be. Thanks for the cache.
Another good find while out with J-L & P Em.
Took a little bit of searching. SL TFTC

My first FTF!! Yay. Found at about 4:15pm, Good hide- must have been in the mode-had it in hand almost immediately. First find with new user name as well : )
2TF after a reasonable search and thinking the cache may have been muggled. Turns out it was just well camouflaged. TFTC !
Collected this one this evening with tmann421 and Princess-Emily.
A short search and we soon had this one found. Nicely camoed.
