Really annoyed to have walked a long way for a cache that does not seem to be being actively maintained by the owner. The walk was nice tho. Just disappointed to have a blue face
Headed down south to find some treasure around Bulli with Oldmorty and Missmorty. Walked the longer way around to find the big fence stopping us from getting to GZ proper. Read a few logs and tried to find the cache outside the fence but no luck today. TFTC!
Missmorty, morty8888 and myself searched for 15 mins, read the logs and still came up empty handed.
Found it.....well the original one anyway which is inside the fence ???
No amount of looking came up the one supposedly accessible from outside the fence. Anyway TFTC.

Had to ask for some info from the co. Can be accessed from outside the big fence . Tftc
#14507 - 09:52; In Wollongong with the geohoney for the weekend and headed out to the Bulli Markets this morning. I noticed this cache was nearby and set off to find it. Found a large fence in between the cache and I on my first attempt, so came back inside and made my way to GZ. A short search and I soon had the cache in hand and the log signed.
Pretty sure I found the old cache in its original position, which is inside the fence. If a new cache is now in play outside the fence, the coords may also need an update.

Scrambled and scrambled but to no avail. Then workmen turned up and got outta there.
I certainly made that harder than it needed to be!
Firstly, I had the dog with me. He was pulling on my arm wanting to chase the rabbits.
And secondly, I was wearing a dress!
Completely unprepared to get in that hole!
Got there in the end.
Left a small treasure.
Thanks for the cache!

We parked at the gate and walked to GC. Being the good parent I am, I sent my youngest gremlinkid to retrieve the GC as involved navigating branches. Soon had CIH. TFTC.
Easy find but scratchy to extract from its hiding spot. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC blacktownman
I was muggled out on NYE. The short Brew crawled in to make the grab. Log is full. Signed as BM & EH in space #40. TFTC
Found after a bit of a scuffle in the bushes! Log is now full, but I didn’t have a replacement with me. TFTC!

Down The Shire way for dinner with friends, so thought I'd go further south for some finds. Had originally thought to hit Helensburg, but misreading a "Road Closed" sign I ended up a lot further south, with a lot less time to make some finds. And a few DNFs didn't help. So only got three finds for my time, where I'd been hoping for two or three times that.
Oh well.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Parked to the south and made my way to GZ.
Well, that's not a welcoming area - scratches will ensue!
Fortunately I spotted it before committing, so kept the scrapes to a minimum.
Completed signing duties and replaced, then off to my next target - when I passed a muggle and his dog going the other way.

Found with Nissan 65 on a day off work. Limited to the direction we could travel today due to road closures. Thanks for the cache
Not a DNF but Did Not Attempt. Got to GZ and with cars around and the side the cache was on blocked off by fence. See photo. Might need to disable for awhile.
Found with Paris1262 attending our work Christmas party TFTC ️left a little Serenity ️️
It took a few minutes and a few scratches but I soon had cache in hand.
You may think that when you get to ground zero it is the most obvious of places but try to think more like a dishlicker.

We found an interesting way in to this cache, which included clambouring over a fallen tree. At GZ, a bit of a scratchy lantana experience. After geogroping at the wrong level, Dan spotted the cache. Fortunately, an easier walk back to the car. It is always interesting to see different areas of suburbs or towns. TFTC
Day four of the OZGM19 Mega saw fitzy_1965, nibletricecakes, GSC2000 and myself pack up camp before heading to the final event for our 'long' weekend away.
We really weren't sure we were in the right place with everything looking so overgrown but nibletricecakes put her hand on the cache after a couple of minutes.

Tired end of day hunting always makes the hunt hard. We finally made the simple find with only a few scratches.
Think this may be us for the day - home is calling - thanks for the cache.
Adventured today in Wollongong with MinnieK Fitzy_1965 and GSC2000 after packing up camp at the OzMega in Appin. A wonderful but exhausting way to finish a big weekend - with an almost 100% strike rate. Thanks everyone for the caches!!!

18,438. Next and final find during the OzGeomuster 2019 The Gong.
Morning of Day 4 and time to go home - but not before more caching ! Packed up the camp site and headed to this the final event of the Mega. After that it was into the car and down the mountain again for some more caches. This was the next and last one for the day. This is the 4th of the series I've managed to find. I went to the Greyhounds once at Bankstown and was very impressed at the speed. Better than horses any day I recon.
TFTC blacktownman !!

Reperio at 1330.
After picking up gearguru from the airport this morning, we arrived in Wollongong to find a few caches before the upcoming event in Bulli this afternoon.
We scooted around the corner from the previous cache, and after a short stroll, the cache was soon discovered.

I departed Seattle on Tuesday evening to begin an eight day adventure in both Australia and New Zealand. I flew to Los Angeles and then on to Sydney landing early on Thursday morning. I am here for the OZGeomuster 2019 "The Gong" Mega event down in Wollongong as a Lackey geocaching ambassador. I will be spending the next four and a half days down in the Wollongong area, geocaching with a lot of the locals. Then I will return to Sydney and fly over "the Ditch" to Wellington where I will spend two days before returning to Sydney for the long flight back to the "States" and finally home to Seattle.
The event organizers had arranged for Marcus Vitruvious to pick me up at the airport and transport me down the the Mega event site. Before we headed down to the Wollongong area I had told Marcus Vitruvious that I want to find the Oldest active cache in Australia plus any other Virtual caches we could attempt.
We are in the area to attend the event in Bulli later this afternoon, so we stopped to grab a quick bite to eat and then went to try to find this nearby cache. This was a quick and easy find as Marcus Vitruvious quickly had it in hand. We signed the log and replaced the cache before moving on to the next targeted cache. Thank you for hiding and maintaining this cache for us to find.

Found with sesblocker.
Great coordinates made for an easy find. GZ is overgrown with lantana and there is a SYRINGE on the ground.

Got to love a Dishlicker cache. Great smell at Gz and no nasties to worry about. Thanks for another good find.
Out geocaching with MuddyButt, Mr Slow and floofy geodog today so only apt that the first find was a dishlicker series. TFTC!
Sent geo kid (Mr slow) in for this one. Found with stumble trip and geo dog. TFTC!
Perfect day for caching. Sunny and no onlookers. Eventually spotted it from a difficult angle but how to retrieve? After scouting around decided on the full frontal Detol attack. CIH. TFTC.
Found by accident because when i saw a bright coloured something i went there i was dissapointed for 1 second before I saw THE right geocache.
Such a beautiful day for Cachin'

woo hoo... 3rd time lucky on this one, finally caught it this morning with wootowncrew.
We have travelled down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the Wollongong area for the April school holidays, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Corrimal Beach Tourist Park. Today we headed up to Austinmer to visit some antique & 2nd hand stores, and to collect a variety of caches along the route. This was our 7th find of the day, and 116th find of the holiday.
Drove around the road to this one, but then came to a locked gate. There was plenty of signs warning of security surveillance cameras in operation, but no reference to "private" or "trespassing" so we ducked through the side fence and continued along the road to GZ. Quickly spotted the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. There were no dishlickers spotted around GZ today. TFTC blacktownman.

Nice lil hide, made it in unscaved and got the cache!! Left some lil treasures for the next person who visits!! Thank
After spotting the hide I had to send someone a little less snaggable than me in. The junior geo-gangsta volunteered and grabbed the goods. TFTC
Went to the beach with Geogangstas, AWTYOW and Gabstar and pulled in for one little cache. TFTC

went don sat night to attempt to fix it but the dogs were racing so i couldn't fix it so tried again sunday morning and the markets were on so couldn't do anything then either so 1 of the next 3 sat mornings i will try to get back there to fix it.
Can the CO conduct a check on this one? I've spent another 2hrs total since the last find.... This cache is seriously killing me... hahaha
3rd attempt on this one... with a D rating on 1.5, I'm getting VERY disheartened. Another 45min hunt with nil find. This has become my nemesis cache.
Couldn't find after a 20 min search, hope to find it one day, one of those tough ones.
I had attempted to find this one on numerous occasions before, even with a paf i still didn't manage to find it.
Today i was out with the plan of clothe shopping and a movie afterwards, precluded with some caches. This one popped up on my radar again.
After pushing my way back inside the forest of thorns I had a look around with RSs hint in mind. Didn't work. Then i resorted to phone RS for more info bit didn't get through. Yet as i was about to go back out to my car did it hit me in the face!
Finally got the last of these dog cages out of the way!
Thanks for the cache.

I wandered around for ages here, until I spied the little sucker laughing at me...
As well a lantana I would look for casuarina also in the search zone. Thanks bm.

Overthought this one. It is indeed a Difficulty of 1.5, I'm just very oblivious...
