It appears muggles have found this spot and so no replacement will stay long. Freeing up spot so another cache can be placed by others.

Nope. DNF number two, and in the company of a previous finder. Must say I'm pretty annoyed that the previous finder stated that they left it on the ground, given the strong winds we have had over the last few days.
Find the cache on the ground. Must be the wind very strong today push it away. I left it there to be found. Tftc!
Purely by chance I found this as I could not see it. Small and black!
Thanks for bringing us here to this fabulous beach.

As the country enters a 4 week lockdown, it is strongly recommend that Whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces.... to remove temptation in urban area I am disabling this cache. Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

Already been here but didn't check for a cache so came back. Nice beach and nice large camping area. Looks closed today though. Just gravel to park on.
The cache was on the ground so we put it back where we thought it should go. TFTC.
Found this cache on our Roadtrip through New Zealand

Have not been out geocacheing for a while. Cooler days mean its a perfect excuse to get outside. Thanks for the caches
Having parked up for the night we decided to have an evening stroll taking in a few caches.
This was the nearest and a quick find once the torch was pointed in the right direction.

Have tried to find this cache many times as we have wandered past and spent a lot of time circling this. Finally found at last! Tftc
Found during our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. Decided to overnight at the NZMCA camp as we head north. Made a quick find of this one TFTC.
Went to replace and muggle in camper parked right next to GZ... looks like they are setting for a long cup of coffee right by hiding spot will try again soon.
Checked and not there. Unfortunately spare had on me too big, so will come place another day
Leapt out of the car, pen in hand, and neither of us could find it. Yes, we read the cache page, and yes, we think we found the spot where it might be but wasn't. Hmm. Has it gone or are the last three people just not clever enough?
Another over night stop at a very nice camping area on our journey around New Zealand.

Nice warm afternoon for abit of caching in the Dunedin area, about 35 caches for the afternoon and a lot of fun had. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
After a long time of looking around and searching and going away and coming back we finally spotted this little guy and signed the log book. Good hide.
Mummy muppet found this, small and tricky in the bright sun. The cache not mummy muppet.

Stayed the night in the awesome Warrington freedom campsite and went on a cache hunt in the morning. No luck though, Read the description, looked for various angles, couldn't spot it. D1,5?

We spent the day in Warrington with the kids playing in the playground and at the beach.
I spotted this cache.
Nice hide.
Found with hayleyhnz, hannahhnz, hollyhnz and W.E.K.A.
Thanks.

Fortunately we had markhnz with us, and his younger eyes spotted this little cache hidden in the darkness. Found with him, hayleyhnz, hannahhnz and hollyhnz on a family outing at Warrington. Despite the cloudy weather, our grandchildren enjoyed building sandcastles and playing in the surf. TFTC
The value of 'One last look'. As the others have said: we circled, we climbed, we searched, we shone a torch, we circled, we peered, we groused, we looked and were on the point of giving up when a chance remark by one of the others sparked an idea, and 'one last look' (actually more of a feel) produced the container. Much relief all round.

I had had a brief look for this on an earlier occasion but was thwarted by the bright sun. Today I came armed with katie w and KiwiChris and after at least 15 minutes searching, checking previous logs and going GRRR when reading about "quick and easy" etc we were about to flag away as missing when one last check by KiwiChris unearthed it.
Now, I'd been here before and done the circling dance. This time I had 2 companions and round and round we went. Finally, a last ditch attempt by Kiwi Chris turned up the black bison. Phew! Found at last. Thanks Natalie247

A beautiful Spring Dunedin day so we headed out to explore Warrington. Found this after a wander along the beach. A few people enjoying the park close by but easy find while having an interesting read. TFTC
Can report cache still here. Took us a while as it was overcast so the lighting not the best. Eventually found! Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Thanks
We realise that this one is disabled but we thought we'd have a look anyway. We can report all is good with the cache. It is high and dry with no surface flooding and log is in good shape. Found with AorakiSheep.
This one took longer than it should, around and around we went . . . until the ahhh! moment. Found with debsnz
Following heavy rainfall and king tides over last 48 hrs, however roads in the area have been affected and I expected spot this cache is at might have been or still is underwater. Condition of this cache is unknown. A state of Emergency is still in place - for upto date info on roads go to www.dunedin.govt.nz/road-conditions
A large portion of my caches have been in affected area and I am currently through work/volunteering have to focus on other post flooding activities.
As I expect it will be at least 1 week until I can do effective maintenance runs to check and replace caches I apologise now if you were hoping to claim this for a dot day/Mary Hyde gold and it is not in its expected state.
I would be grateful for any comments on what needs to be done and help empty water and provide dry logs.

Had a quick look for this one after the dog walked me down the beach. Found it lying on the ground so had to make our best guess as to where it is supposed to be hiding. Apologies to CO if it has not been placed correctly. Tftc
Found while reading description. Second attempt. Had to wait for muggles to disappear first. Easy cover reading the information. TFTC

I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

We stayed at the nearby freedom camping spot. Tftc and for the possibility of camping here! Greetings Sprunghörnchen
Very cool hide, love it! Getting dark but managed to see it with the help of our phones tonight! TFTC
Found at night quickly. We were at the freecamp right next door. Very nice spot.
Thanks for the cache

An overnight stop in Portobello on the Ortago Peninsula led us to see albatross and blue penguins. Now on this sunny day we have enjoyed Blue Skin Bay after visiting the Otago Museum and yes, we read the information.
Walked around a few times wondering how tall you had to be for the hint to work. Then by chance close up I spotted it. TFTC
Interesting information in the cache description thanks Natalie247. Found on the second pass round - sneaky wee hide. TFTC #9876
