Today we have a few very special caches on the agenda. Some with lots of favorite points that made us curious and two "old caches" were successfully conquered. We also visited traditional caches, lab caches and a multi cache. A break on the beach, where we watched the fisherman on the pier and the children, rounded off a great day. All Ownern many thanks and greetings from the Moorhelmi
Ventured out of central Christchurch for a few more caches. Left our calling card here. Cheers.Day 2 - teamed up with Taybee NZ for the day caching around Christchurch , with ICUC on my radar.Zara, Toby and I are heading to the Dunedin Mega with some extra days along the way. Caught up with TaybeeNZ on 22 Oct for a day caching around Christchurch. Then made my way down to Waimati for the night. Arrived in Dunedin Thursday afternoon. Beautiful day Friday to cache around Port Chalmers. Mega Day was cold, wet and miserable and Sunday not much better. Sophia arrived on Sunday for a few days. Teamed up with TaybeeNZ for next three days touring the Catlains Monday, Stewart Island Tuesday and Milford Wednesday, then started making my way home, arriving Friday Morning.
I'm ditching dad again and heading down south for the Mega in Dunedin. During this trip I managed to do many things and meet many people over the 2 weeks I was away. Thanks to all the cache owners and other cachers for making this trip enjoyable.Day 2 of the trip. After spending the night with mum we teamed up together for the day. First was UC IC as last time mum was there it was down. Then we spent a few hours around the botanical gardens doing adlabs and caches. After that we headed up to the cabbage trees and then a few other caches. A nice quick find. TFTCAll log sheets on this trip were signed by any of the following:Taybee NZ,TBNZ,TNZ,TB/D (When I was out with mother)
Quick find! Definetly had me sweating as I biked and walked my way up the hill. Swapped a pen for something in there. so if you ever forget a pen, i got you covered! TFTC
I've come to ChCh for a few days to visit my teen who going to Uni here. Given teenagers/uni students don't get up before it pm I had some time to do my own activity. I searched the map for areas to go with either 'good numbers' or 'interesting location' that were also easy to get to by bus (Good Friday too). I was initially going to do the Bridal Path over near gondola then spotted this Mt Vernon area and the bus stop was right beside this high favourite cache with a path leading straight on to the Huntsburry Track up the hill.
After discussing with a local that I was heading in the right direction to get to the Huntsburry Track (and telling him all about geocaching as he asked what the green boxes were on my map - might have converted a muggle he was off home to look it up) I ventured "off road" for this one - as I approached I had by fingers crossed the GPS coords were correct and the map information also matching up and that I was on the correct side of the fence. WOOP WOOP I was - Hint helped locate spot quickly. Signing duties done and I 'exit-ed' out onto the road to see a lady and her dog - she commented "oh I didn;t expect to see someone coming out of there" ....I replied "just quickly changing my clothes ready for a walk up the hill I think it going to be windy up there"

Nice walk up the hill on our way home now, saw this cache come up so thought why not - TFTC
Found it with Dave981! Unfortunately we didn't have a pen so couldn't sign the logbook!
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
Time for a few out west and south today and then returned to our accommodation to watch the Americas Cup racing. Once that was finished it was out the door again to get a nearby oldie and any others we could before dark.
I hadn't really planned on driving the rental cache mobile up this road, but the gate was open, so we headed on through with wheels spinning in the deep loose gravel. Once the oldie was accounted for, headed back down and stopped off for this one. A nice quick find but the log was very full and only just managed to squeeze a signature in. TFTC

Pretty grim weather for Xmas, but if that is all we have to worry about, things a pretty good really.
Nice easy find, but could do with a new log.
Cheers, happy new Year and thanks,

Quick easy find in the obvious spot on my way past to a meeting which was timed to align with my lunch hour so I could grab some nearby caches. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache.

On a road trip down south with the mates , primarily targeting TMGTs and high faves.
Last leg of our journey, today will see the completion of the geo tour and a few others in between.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

A nice quick find and I managed to get to it without sliding down. Thought that I would get out and about while it wasn't actually raining.
Very easy find, container and logbook are in good condition. For Anzac Day we chose to go hiking n Port Hills with a beautiful weather. Very few people walking or biking around. So perfect for our geocaching activity... Thanks for placing this here. It was nice to stop on our way back to catch the bus.
A quick find, no problems once I got the parking sorted.
I can see a lot of work has gone into this Iron Maiden series, thanks TwoSharpe.
Second day in Christchurch on an extended holiday. Caught up with both sisters and my niece in the morning, including some retail therapy, but with everyone else working I get a few hours to trundle around Christchurch in a random manner picking up caches.
Thanks to all the COs.

Tftc. Shane that some idiots decide to dump rubbish over the edge...almost the remnants of a whole car cut up and thrown down. Some People = horrible.
Found on our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find on our way up the hill.
Merry Christmas and TFTC.

#6228. I am down in Christchurch for a few days and have some meetings to attend next week. This weekend I hired a rental car so I can pick up a few targeted caches today and hopefully more tomorrow if the weather holds out. After finding Canterbury's oldest cache I headed downhill and stopped to pick this one up on the way. Nice easy find. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Twosharpe for the cache.
Called up my buddy Bruce Dickinson to discuss this cache with him and he insisted the density of pines here should have led to the name Pine of the Ancient Mariner. Then he speculated about making big bank by releasing and re-releasing an endless sequence of almost identical collectible geocoins for his fans who are anxious to buy anything over and over.
It is still safely located just below the road.
Thank you for the cache!

Visiting New Zealand for three weeks. After hanging around Auckland for a few days it was time to head south! Early morning flight to Nelson, a walk in Abel Tasman National Park with camping in Torrent Bay, then back to Marahau and a ride to Kaikoura. A short ride to Christchurch, then two rainy days in Dunedin and Invercargill, before beautiful hiking in Queenstown, Wanaka and Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. West Coast was tricky as expected but not too wet, then a rush to Picton to explore the North Island for a few days.
Thank you for the cache!

An interesting collaboration idea between a band and a game company, however my knowledge of IM and SD failed me as I hadn't heard of the album or the game (or the game company for that matter)! Cheers, a nice quick grab.
I'm not a gamer so don't appreciate the intricacies of the cache title sorry. On the other hand I always appreciate a cache to find. Nice quick find too. TFTC # 11,749
StreetWalker and I are attempting to turn some solved [?] into today, and after success with four puzzles, we decided to look for a few trads as well.
I wasn't wearing my caching shoes, and didn't think my footwear would stand up to the steep direct approach, so SW did the honours. Of course, a couple of walkers approached as he was making the find - I hope he wasn't visible from the road. TFTC.

#14957. Good to include an IM cache in today's program. I approached via the fence line, and took a more direct route back to the road. TFTC.
In Christchurch for the weekend with my partner and while she is doing a 2 day course I came up with her as it isvthe perfect time to log lots of caches and try to log 2000 before next year. TFTC

Found on a dog walk.
Quick find, just walked down 185m from the Boots cache.
I added to the pinecone pile, I think every cacher should put some more there
