We are going away in late September and Geopup will need to be looked after so she was having a practice Day Care day today so we set off to do some caching and this was next. This was a great way to see the lovely gardens! Actually we saw more of the gardens than intended as we got the wrong number for the first question so couldnt find anything matching the next question (but actually found the spot matching the 3rd) so had to reverse engineer. (We did eventually come back and found the missing rabbits to confirm our number) We continued on taking photos of this beautiful place quite regularly as we made our way around and eventually to GZ to find the cute cache. TFTC and fun diana8 - GJMMelb
Did this with a bunch of 10 year olds for my sons 11th birthday party. Great way to spend the afternoon with a couple of stops for party games and some cake. All had a great time and found the cache. Thankyou!
I'm of the opinion that the equation for GZ doesn't add up here. My mate ending up finding this as I didn't see it upon first look. Cheers.
Started this yesterday with a muggle mate of mine but we couldn't find H, although I wasn't putting numbers into the waypoints, only looking for the locations according to the questions. Returned today and found H, I'm not usually a fan of multis with so many different mathematical equations as they do my head in looking at the phone all the time. Confident I had all the right numbers but I don't think my East was correct. Wanted a find on my birthday so wandered around thinking the wrong tree was a play on words but no luck today.
I had an appointment in Brighton at lunchtime, so I left a bit earlier and collected a few caches along the way.I started in these lovely gardens. Very windy this morning so all the leaves were blowing around (glad I wasn't on raking duty!)A nice walk going around answering the questions. A great way to explore the gardens. Thanks, Robmc.
Nice walk around the gardens on a lovely day. All numbers were found relatively quickly, as was the final cache. All in good condition. TFTC
Rode the train down from Bendigo and met with chooknchunk and sunset62 at Southern Cross Station before jumping on a tram for St Kilda. A walk around the St Kilda Botanical Gardens for a multi. Being near lunch time we headed for Ackland St for fish and chips. After lunch, a stroll along the Esplanade picking up a variety of caches and AdLabs saw us grabbing this one. All in all a great day out. Thanks diana8 for placing this Multi-cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
Out and about with Chook and Micaparamedic - What a beautiful Botanical Garden - I love multis and this one really ticked the boxes for me, although, I didn't have my trusted notebook and had to make do with scrappy paper!!!! that resulted in a lot of not quite correct answers lol. I did enjoy this and thank you for placing the cache for us. Now .......... of to lunch!!!
Out on a caching day in St Kilda with sunset62 and micaparamedic. This was our first targeted cache of the day, and it probably took us just under an hour to complete this one. Mainly due to various operator errors (make that Chook errors) at the first couple of waypoints (firstly not seeing all the rabbits, then adding when she should have been multiplying, which sent us to the other end of the gardens LOL). At the third waypoint we couldn't get the numbers to give us useful coords, eventually resorting to a PAF resource that got us on our way (in hindsight, we probably misread the reverse algebra required for this question). After this it was fairly plain sailing and not long after that we had the nicely crafted cache in hand. Thank you diana8 for this lovely multi in this beautiful setting. It was a lovely way to explore these gardens.

Always great to be out caching but even better when doing it with geo friends. This is one of the caches we successfully found today, Cheers for the cache.
Out and about with My good caching friends Omegaman1971 and tiz13, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Not sure if it was the weather but my phone was out all day long, finally found it some ten meters away from where my GZ was. Thanks diana8 for the cache.
A few last caches before calling it a day. One of the boys had previously done the leg work on this multi. We stopped to see if we could fond this cache...well we almost didn't...a systematic search of all the likely spots eventually unearthed this cache.
Previous comment of found A, then found some more A was very helpful as our original answer for A turned out to be incorrect. Lovely day for caching and cache is in a nice quiet spot despite the crowds of muggles out enjoying the sunshine. Cache providing a lovely home for a few bugs so watch out when you open it up!
I found this cache today on my 27,500 step Elsternwick to Albert Park Wander. I took a couple of buses from Elsternwick to get close, then walked over to the gardens to start the multi. I found "A", then some more "A", calculated the next spot then started my walk. On the way, I happened to spot the item for "BC" so I had to reverse engineer a new value for "A" which was out by 1. All went ok till "EF" of which I was fairly sure of the answer but the next point came right out of the park so I walked in that direction till I found what I imaged was the spot for "G" and continued on. I was able to work around "F" till I got to calculating the final cache spot of which it was then integral to the workings so I had to reverse engineer a second number but not all together confidently. Once at GZ though I luckily came upon the cache almost straight away, which was a great relief. I had already read the hint which was one of those that only makes sense once you have found the cache and then in Catch 22 style, negates your need for the hint in the first place. Glad to finally tick this one off the list. Our second find in this park with the first being back in 2005. Thanks from D B-A
Pleasant walk around the gardens, checking my maths along the way, and a great cache in the end.
It was a pleasant sort of afternoon for this time of year so I set off for my daily exercise... and a couple of cache finds. Started with this one... stuffed the first Waypoint but managed to back-calculate my way through it eventually. Also got a bit frustrated with Waypoint 6... until I finally found what I was looking for. After that it was quite straight forward in my quest to find the cache.
Thanks **diana8** for providing an excellent reason for visiting these gardens.

This cache took as awhile to complete! Numerous factors of being unsure of exactly what the right number was at each WP made it hard. (Yes, we got WP1 wrong like everyone else). Thankfully we stumbled across later WPs by accident and so could triangulate to find where we went wrong! But we made it to the cache in the end and thats all that really matters right FP from us[I'm logging this a few months after finding the cache, but I have photo evidence if the CO wants to get in contact]
TFTC Diana8, after falling for the same errors at WP1 like everyone else, a repeat visit not only gave us more answers, it was good to wander these gardens on sunny winter’s morning.
The maths all worked, it was counting that let us down

After dropping one of my kids at work experience in South Melbourne, I went caching around the area until it was time to pick her up again.
I remember half finishing this multi a little while ago and today had the opportunity to finish it. As I was going to look at GZ, big rain drops started to fall but just as quickly stopped.
At GZ I made a quick find. Nice.
The cache and log in good condition. Lots of empty spaces on logbook for future finders.
Thank you for the cache here diana8

No luck but my final coordinates are from a few years ago, could be wrong now. .
Will confirm before next visit.

Pwoah. Bit of a journey! Was very proud to get all the numbers correct first try along the way, but took a good while to find the cache. As soon as i clued on to what the hint was referring to (a very awesome hint by the way!), locating the cache was straightforward. Loved the container!

Thanks diana8...we loved this multi cache! It kept us on our toes from the very start with the rabbits on the motorcycle...key piece of information as you use this number to locate all the other waypoints!! But we worked it out by waypoint 3 or 4 and then sailed through to the cache! Very clever...the hint makes a lot of sense once you've found it but didn't help us find it!!
A nice sunny day at the Gardens. This cache took a lot longer than it should have! The inability to count properly at a couple way points proved to be a problem. However after rechecking some counts we were able to eventually find the various locations. Mathematics on the run was a little tricky. Once the final coordinates were calculated the location looked reasonable and we set off. A quick find at GZ. This proved to be quite a challenge on a day that was becoming quite warm - bit all good in the end. Thanks to diana8 for the cache and bringing us back to the gardens.
Nice day today so lots of people out enjoying the park. I might have looked a bit weird walking past the same groups a couple of times!
I have to say my maths was spot on but my counting let me down on 2 occasions! Managed to work out where I went wrong and was back on track and soon enough was taken to a nice quiet part of the park and a quick find of the container and a signature on the nice fresh log.
All of this felt very familiar - we used to live in St Kilda so I was trying to remember of there was an archived multi that used to love here. Anyway, TFTC!

Searched everywhere but was unable to come up with the goods today.
It was not my day in the St Kilda Botanical Gardens with 3 DNFs in a row. I confirmed my coords were correct and even had a PAF regarding the type of hide but the cache didn’t reveal itself today.

We were making the most of our freedom and the weather by getting out and trying to find a few caches. We started off with the Solar System Adventure lab caches and had now finished them.
The weather was holding well so we then decoded to try our luck on a few other caches in the area as we just don't seem to get this way often.
We need to kill a little bit of time and this was the perfect cache to do it on. It was a bit of exercise on a warm afternoon in a very pleasant area. Collecting the information was relatively straight forward and the gardens were certainly putting on a show for us.
We finally had all the info we needed and were soon heading to gz where with good co-ords the cache was found in the first place we looked and our name has been added to the log.
Thanks diana8 for a fun multi, a favourite point from us.

A lovely walk with Jeniquoi. We did get stuck at two locations, but thankfully two heads are better than one and we got there in the end! A great final hide which was easy to find despite the park being muggle city. Thanks for the cache!
Not too difficult, not too time consuming, just right for a walk around a park that I had never visited, on a cool day.

Find #11596
Had not planned on a mid week drive in this direction, but I needed to do maintenance on a close...ish cache, so swung by this one which I had attempted in the past but just unable to find it. I had the coords confirmed by a previous finder so time for another shot. Oh and plus I needed a multi for my multi calendar challenge. I expanded the search a little more that last time and bingo.
Thanks to diana8 for the cache.

This has been a bit of an epic. We have been here a couple of times but either time constraints, muggle activities (kids birthday parties!) or weather has foiled our attempt with a vow to return on another day. Today we had the time and hoped the weather would be kind and there would be minimal kiddo parties. We decided to start from square one in case things had changed since our previous attempts. Everything went well until close to the end of proceedings....where the weather decided it would rain on our parade and we couldn’t find what we were looking for...fortunately our next waypoint asked a question I knew the answer to so we calculated a GZ using a guesstimate of the bit we were missing. We took shelter where a man was trying to film a romantic gesture for his girlfriend who is currently working in the UK. We were quietly doing our sums, trying not disturb our romcom filming companion and waiting out the rain when a party of rowdy 6 year olds entered stage left of our shelter and exited stage right....we then headed off to where we hoped we needed to be wishing our friend luck....telling him to tell his gf he really loves her because he put up with rain, wind, rowdy 6 year olds and a pair of idiots hunting for clues while he tried to get his message to her recorded! Anyway, moving on....We were expecting to be a bit out but taking the hint into account I eventually found an option that proved to be good luck & very soon our name was in the log. Thanks for the tour diana8, a park the Chief’s mum spent much of her youth in having grown up in the St Helens flats in the ‘30’s on the corner of Dickens St & Marine Pde...we did spend a bit of our walk chatting about what a lovely park to live so close to, it would have been her back yard & the beach was the front yard as it was before the marina existed.
TFTC! I Always enjoy An excuse to come here! It’s always peaceful at the right times managed to get all the clues this time and was able to find it. Learnt more about the gardens! The roses were out bloom and really loved them!
A scooter ride collecting clues. Most were good, but 1 eluded me. GZ plausable with a guess and a PAF confirme i was only 8m off so a search soon had my 499th Multi found!
Thanks to diana8 for the placement and fun.

Cache is back in place. Waypoints have been updated in the description where necessary
The hint made so much sense!!!! We spent longer than expected on this but it really was so much fun. We caught over maths but it worked out in the end
I loved this multi. I took my time and enjoyed the excuse to meander around the gardens in the sun during my iso breaks. I had to contact the CO at one point and she was super helpful. I visited again this afternoon to locate GZ and was super excited when I found the awesome cache. Suddenly the hint made complete sense! I'm so thankful to the COs for keeping me sane during this lock down
Apart from a few waypoints which gave two possible options, this pleasant multi went very smoothly. With a bit of logic, we were able to sort those ones out, and we also had to use Google when we couldn't find the information for waypoint 7. The weather was sunny when we arrived before becoming windy and cloudy.
We searched a little aimlessly at GZ before checking the hint. The camo was nice, although there was a big spider on the cache container. I managed to remove it with a stick.

What better way to spend an hour or two on a saturday afternoon than wandering a botanical gardens calculating various waypoints to a possible dnf..
After reading back over some logs, this multi seemed one full of brow furrowing and pen nib biting, so it was with some apprehension that i started to calculate the wps. Wp4 put me out of the park, but a little geosense prevailed and the numbers could be counted anyway. All but the last wp were found, and it only upon random meanderings i stumbled upon the question.. a last calculation, not expecting too much and i strolled over for a look. Putting the phone away, i opened the geosense wide, and what do you know, i uncovered the hide fairly quickly!
So after all that, my maths turned out to be alright after all, and my names in the log!
Thanks for an interesting multi meander around a beautiful garden busy with celebratory muggles today.
This is my ninety eighth multi cache!

Out with xambo4u, we returned to this area to complete some multis and puzzles. All went to plan, collecting some extra trads along the way. Good weather, good company and lots of laughter. This multi had us puzzled at times, and we added a little more walking than was necessary, but they are beautiful gardens and we didn’t mind at all. Great multi and hide.
Thanks diana8
Thanks diana8
Out and about with echidna44 for and challenging fun filled day in the inner suburbs finishing off some finished puzzles and incomplete resolutions. All went to plan, collecting some extra trads along the way. Good weather, great company and lots of laughter. Loved walking around to pickup the clues that we could find and then need to learn how to count. This was a return for this one as we needed guidance from CO. Obviously maths is not our strong point as we were 35 metres out. We got there eventually by widening our search. Great place, love your location. Thanks for the cache diana8 and support

Well this cache certainly hasn’t been a straight forward find for me, it started sometime back and after walking around the waypoints and collecting the info, I calculated a final GZ and went for a look but something didn’t seem right, it was also getting late and I went but to my car to go through the numbers.
Once I had gone through the numbers I realised the a mistake had been made so I went to check out my new location through a different gate but when I got there it was locked so I came back to the one I exited and now this one was also locked, luck I wasn’t still inside and I decided to head home.
On my second visit, I went to where I thought GZ was but once again I was wrong so I went and visited all the waypoints again and this time I had a few different results to the first time but still my new calculated GZ produced nothing so once again I headed off.
Several months went by before I got a confirmation on my numbers, turns out I still had one wrong, with that sorted and another GZ calculated with wasn’t far from my previous one, I returned today with some reinforcements which was just as well, we searched for a little while before the cache was finally found.
It’s great to finally get this one off the list.

What a lovely garden, lots of people here on this sunnie day.
Having a bit of time I thought I would attempt this.
It took longer than the expected time as there was a fairbit of miscalculating and possible answers that are now different.
I had trouble with Waypoint 3, and had to massage the numbers to get the right location. A few other locations I didn't do the right calculations.
Eventually made it to the end to find the camo. TFTC diana8.

I ran out of time looking for this multi. I will be back to try again! Great fun exploring these beautiful gardens, seeing new corners, and calculating this multi.
I just logged what I think was my longest-standing unfinished multi. I suspect this one could have been second in line! I made a start here when it was still quite new. Early 2016, I'd say, when I myself was still a relative n00b.
I actually calculated and inspected some GZ coordinates that day, but I mustn't have been a very consistent logger of DNFs early on. And then I kinda forgot about it. Which is easy to do when one lives some 30km away. I was finally reminded of it when the previous finder happened to mention it shortly after completing it. "Oh yeah, that one. I've been meaning to re-examine my numbers for years" I said. Or something.
And so I came to learn that I had undercounted something way back in the early days of the Turnbull prime ministership. And that my notion of GZ had been maybe 15 metres off the mark!
I actually made a detour from the highway and returned to the gardens for the first time in three years *last* week. Though I *again* needed advice as I was far too insistent that the cache lay in a particular direction rather than 7-8 metres back over my shoulder! I did find the cache that day, but... also found that I was carrying only a dysfunctional writing implement! No such problem today, so the deed was finally done.
Thanks diana8 for a multi that I found waaaaay more challenging than I probably should have!

This cache was not my finest hour - I managed to turn this multi into a D5.
It all started three weeks ago, when I stopped by on a lovely evening after work. I couldn’t find any rabbits on motorcycles - turns out it was because I was searching at the starting coordinates . Not off to a great start. I had to visit the toilet and by chance spotted WP3, then WP2 on my way back to the beginning, then noticed my mistake with WP1. I couldn’t figure out WP3 so used maths to calculate a likely WP4. I also screwed up here as all but one of my calculated WP5s were way outside the gardens. Once at WP6 I couldn’t find what I was looking for and had to leave for my appointment.
Back today and same thing, so I reached out to the CO - I’m so embarrassed I wasn’t able to spot that on my own...To make matters worse, I’d lost my notes from last time so didn’t know WPs 1-6. I relied on memory and maths to figure these out and after some time had calculated GZ. Thankfully once there it was a quick find.
Thanks diana8 for the well thought out multi. Was lovely to take a stroll around these buzzing gardens. I hope my poor efforts this time are a one off

Had a walk round the gardens here gathering the answers as we went - we did find the co-ords out a bit on a couple of the answers and we were 200 feet out for waypoint 4 (had a look at our previous answers and couldn't see where we had gone wrong) however we found where we should be and able to continue.
Thinking on of ouransers was wrong we were not confident in getting to the final location - however we went to our worked out coords and though again 50 feet out to our workings the cache was found - phew

I spent some time here walking through the gardens working out this multi, which showcased such a lot. Eventually I found the cache, quite far from where I had calculated, but used the hint to figure it out! I’m not sure where I went wrong! Thanks so much for placing this multi diana8
I gathered all the information for this one a few weeks ago when I was in the Gardens. That day was a complete bust with me finding NOTHING all day! I did the calcs for this one in the field but it came up in very unlikely location, so I knew something was amiss and I needed to get home. At home I did some thinking and realised where I had gone wrong - I must have miscounted a certain item because that was the point where everything went wrong. Witha bit of guess work I soon had a usable set of coordinates.
Today I came back with the geotoddler who pointed out to me the playground as we went past. In order to focus her attention to the task at hand I told her that if she found the cache before me that we could watch a certain video when we got home (The Gingerbreadman - it's like crack to her at the moment - I have no idea why...). Needless to say she got completely distracted and I found it first, but I took her to the playground as a consolation prize - we were always going to the playground.
Thanks diana8 - it was nice to tick this one off. Now I just need to address the others in the Gardens...

Having come to the Botanical Gardens for the Morocco puzzle cache, I decided to do diana8’s multi as well. I loved this ramble through the gardens in the sunshine. Like a number of people I stuffed up the first clue (beware, next people!) but was able to back calculate for A once I found the required palm. All went fairly smoothly after that, although the number of concurrent chess games was open to interpretation! Again, through a process of elimination, it all pulled together. My calculations led me straight to GZ, where I delighted in the cryptic hint. Found the cute container quickly. All was good. Since GZ happened to be right near my car (by chance) I decided to head off and leave the remaining two caches in the gardens for another day. I’m giving this a favourite point, because it was so nice to head to so many corners of the gardens and appreciate them in a new way. It’s been some years since I’ve visited and I think it might be fun to come back and ‘redo’ this one with my nephews who are getting into GC too. TFTC, diana8.
The partner had brunch planned in the area and I decided to tag along on the journey over so I could go caching. After worrying that the rains would put an end to the day's caching, I was pleased that they had largely cleared by the time I arrived and started this multi. I enjoyed the walk around the Gardens, but this multi was so frustrating. I stuffed up at WP1, and after finding WP2 by accident I headed back and found the extra information I needed. It took time to navigate to the different areas, but the last WP had me looking in an area where the information I needed didn't seem to exist. I'm not entirely sure where I stuffed up the calculations, but with a few guesstimates I was in and around a logical area for GZ. I still had to widen my search before I found something that wasn't quite right, which turned out to be the hide. Glad to get the smile in the end, and the quick downpour didn't dampen the spirits. TFTC!
We finally found it. Geokids on their bikes started to get a bit bored because this took awhile but we found in the end with a bit of guesstimating. We were in the area after attending a party that Geoboy was invited to.
I'd attempted this cache quite some time ago and came a-cropper at WP2 after apparently being unable to count bunny rabbits! This time with a little bit of number substitution and google-fu I made it all the way to the end
A very pleasant walk through an inner urban treasure. Cache was found at the obvious spot. Thanks diana8 for the walk, the history and the hunt.

As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
Last day in Melbourne today after I had come down on the 31st for an angiogram the next day.
With the results all clear for my heart, I can continue to enjoy geocaching ... so I did! [^]
Had 2 DNFs for the day and made 10 finds so all in all a good run home
DNF! I came, I wandered, I took numerous photos but I just could not seem to work this multi out
On a warm day though, this was a lovely place to be [^]

Totally mucked this up last weekend so came back to try again. It all worked out this time, and I found the cache. Hooray
Found during our visit to Melbourne for the week. Had quite a few false starts on the clues, requiring a couple of recounts and recalculations, but finally got around all the waypoints in a very scenic garden. Thanks for the cache diana8!
After we arrived at our new accommodation in Balaclava we had a look around. When we arrived the Botanical Garden it started to rain but we found shelter and had lunch.
The rain stopped and we worked our way trough all waypoints. We made a little mistake. So we ended up in a small street nearby. After checking the numbers we got a better co-ordinate. At that place we found the container.
Thanks for showing! Tftc

This was my second visit during my lunch breaks from work to complete this multi. The first visit I was looking for a puzzle in the area and it was muggle central which took some time to stealthily locate the cache, so on the first visit I only managed the first 2 waypoints which I stuffed up anyway.
With a bit of investigation back at work after the first visit I managed to work out up to waypoint 3 at the comfort of my desk.
Today I was back for my second visit and realised why I couldn't continue once at the chess board.
After that it was pretty smooth sailing with some careful counting and calculating until I was approaching GZ and a muggle was lying in the sun right nearby but luckily I managed to sneak around the back of GZ and made the find pretty quickly. Excellent camo on the cache, nicely done.
It's really nice in these gardens, might take another trip later in the week to check out the conservatory and the rose gardens which I had to rush past in order to finish the cache during my lunch break.
I signed the log and headed back to work, only 10 minutes late on my lunch break return time but that was the tram's fault, it wasn't going fast enough and didn't arrive at the right time either.
Thanks diana8 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We enjoyed our afternoon walking round these garden .We manage to find all the stages of the puzzle but not all the way points .We had to use our caches knowledge and experience to find the cache .Thanks for setting the puzzle .
Got on my second attempt, with a little assistance from the CO; love these gardens, especially the rainman sculpture.
#2 of 2 - almost 2 hours, counting correctly, Kevin did some lateral thinking and cache was finally(!) in hand.
TFTC and apologies for the late log
TFTC and apologies for the late log
Let me start this log by telling you, that at some point in my childhood, presumably around the age of four, I did, honestly and truly learn to count. Maybe even up to 100.
So when I went to WP1 and confidently counted rabbits (I have one, so I felt qualified to recognise them) and then, using that number, calculated a second waypoint, which didn't have hide nor hair of a palm ... I had to trek back and re count rabbits. After that, I failed to correctly count pots, chess games and was only certain of the data points that involved reading data from a sign. Several re counts had me a final GZ that looked right. Huzzah! On my way to it, I admired two beautiful young ladies doing some sort of yoga/Pilates/stretchy thing in the park. A man in an overcoat approached from the other side. Why do men in over coats make people feel suspicious? Maybe because of the likes of this particular "gentleman", who walked up the to ladies, at the time I was in the immediate vicinity, and said "I'm a professional yoga teacher, perhaps I can show you some moves". It was clear to everyone present that he didn't know a down faced dog, from a plank, and was quite possibly hiding a little something under the overcoat. They politely said "no thank you" and he came over to me and said "some people don't know how to be Australian". I, myself am only recently Australian, but I am pretty certain that "Australian values" in the citizenship test, did not include being a d@ck to girls in a park. I wish I had been able to say that, but self preservation told me that speed walking to the gate was a good idea. However I may not have successfully masked my contempt.
I ducked round the corner, where I could see him, but I don't think he could see me. He lay on the grass, 50 metres from the girls, and watched them. Hmm. I did not want to be around here too long. I searched quietly, keeping an eye on the guy. I wasn't happy. I sent a message to a friend asking for a quick bit of help, as I didn't want to hang around with this guy there. The girls packed up and left and he stood and started walking over. I walked much further away, fairly sure he wasn't aware I was there, but quite glad when a dog came gambolling over for some pats. I fussed over that dog a LOT, and the creepy dude left the area. My friend sent me a message back and as it turned out, I still couldn't count and was about 11m out. Using the help, I made the find and very happily got the heck outta there.
I'm very certain this was a one off thing, and that this park is delightful at all other times, so don't let this story put you off. But... maybe pay careful attention to the counting of things.

I enjoyed wandering around the St Kilda Botanical Gardens in search of this one. It was a lovely day. It took me a while to find it. Great one! TFTC.
I had to drop the rest of my muggle family off and was all alone whilst the storm rolled in today.
After a slight misstep at WP1 (look all around people!) I stepped through the points, enjoying the park entirely.
There were many things I saw.
The couple smoking curious plants.
The bocce players
The dog walkers.
The dads and sliding down slides with kids upside down
The plants
The curious turquoise water
The man down on his luck.
So many things to see and at the end, the cache at the wrong tree.
Thanks for the fun diana8. A definite favourite from me for a well planned out and enjoyable cache.

Wow, this took a while. What a lovely walk around the gardens. I almost gave up on this as at the beginning it was frustrating. I found a map of the gardens and used that to find some of the objects. Wpt 1 is tricky because the objects in question are not all in the same place. I learnt the frustrating way.
After deciding not to give up, part way through I found it became easier. With so many wpts and so much fiddly maths, its hard flicking between screens on the gps, may have been easier just using simple substitutions.
I finally had the coords for GZ.
Wow, that brought a smile to my face.
Thanks for a lovely location and a clever hide.

Wow this cache was one of the most frustrating & time consuming caches I've done mostly due to my miscounting, miscalculations & then my GPS taking me to the wrong spot! But I was determined & with a little help from CO & improved GPS I finally found it!! TFTC good multi
Dragging the dog around the park, lately it has been like that, he'd rather sniff everything and stop, so I end up dragging him along. A nice walk through the busy gardens this evening, I noticed some others had been here caching during the day. A perfect day ! Anda lovely evening . Thanks for the tour of the park and fir the other 2 caches, 3 for the walk of 1 multis are my favourite type of cache and this will get a fav point from me
Found at 13:46
What a great way to see all around the gardens. I couldn't find the info at wp1 but I was able to work it out. The rest of the numbers were easily found although some careful counting was required in places.
In the end the cache was easily found.
Thanks diana8 for the caching fun this afternoon.

Miscalculated some waypoints twice thought I finally had it figured out but my GZ brought me to some random plants just off the track, searched all Round but assuming my Coords are still off gonna keep a watch on this see if I can scope out some more clues!
I have saved this cache as a conclusion for the day and it was worth it. Fair questions and a final that made me smile. That was great. TFTC.
We all loved this very well thought out multi! I had GeoHubby and the GeoKids with me and it was a super lovely and sunny day for a wander around the gardens.
The GeoKids were excellent at scoping out the area to ensure that we had not missed counting anything relevant at any of the waypoints. Very handy at two of the waypoints at least, where we would have missed including all information in our total.
Having an appropriate question at each waypoint helped us to confirm that our answers were correct and to feel confident that we were on the right track.
We had a giggle at the waypoint that took us briefly outside.
We thought that we might have to give up at another waypoint, where wedding guests were waiting for the bride. But then the celebrant asked us if we had seen the bride at all in our wandering and we confessed that we needed information that was pretty much right where the wedding was to take place. With no sign of the bride the celebrant actually went to have a look for the information for us, but had no luck, so sent us around the wedding guests to have a look for ourselves!
With all the information finally collected and the coordinates for the GZ we were relieved to find no muggles in the area and a very likely place to look. Had another giggle when the cache was discovered and the hint finally made sense.
The GeoKids requested that I give this a favourite point, and I have to agree with them!

What a fun multi I found the waypoints without too much trouble but I couldn't get the final which was super frustrating. Had to message the CO to confirm my coords and get a nudge in the right direction and I found it quickly on my second trip. Awesome cache, thanks!! Fav point added.
Well wasn't that an enjoyable stroll on a nice sunny Sunday. I went with the CO who is my friend, but she let me do the puzzle on my own without hints. Lots of fun and a genuine favorite point earned, no nepotism here!
Find #840
Nice winters day for a walk in the gardens. After some mix up of miss counting some stages I arrived at a rough GZ to find a couple of other caches on the search who ended up being iamapom. We swapped numbers and expanded our search but were drawn back to where they had originally searched. After a little more of a thorough search the hide was finally revealed and a little chuckle was had while signing. Thanks for the fun walk!

Found it this afternoon with mrsiamapom and Woody the Geodog.
That was a seriously frustrating Multi. And to be honest, we almost gave up a few times.
We made mistakes on 3 waypoints, which forced us to backtrack. We realised we had screwed up big time when we simply couldn't find one of the waypoints, and we had to look up the answer on the interwebs.
We had a couple of false starts at the final. We were close once, but on one occasion we ended up in a residential street 300m away !
When we fixed all this up, we thought we'd reached the real GZ. But we looked and looked and couldn't find it. Until we were approached by another team who was also looking - evangofind. Nice to meet you !
evangofind and I had slightly different co-ords due to different counts at waypoints, but we knew we were in the right area. Mr evangofind made the find, and we all signed. I think I may have seen this cache somewhere before.....
In all, a 1 hour multi took us about 3 hours to complete. But it was a nice hike around a park we've never visited before.
Thanks for the cache.

Nice walk around the gardens today, I had never been here before. Pretty easy cache overall but a bit time consuming. I still don't understand the hint but after a bit of looking around the coordinates we managed to find the cache anyway. TFTC
This cache was designed brilliantly. I was taken on a guided tour of the St Kilda Botanical Gardens along with EleanorP. Being a musician, I was seriously excited to find a Mozart St adjacent to the park! TFTC!
A friend was asking for a PAF on this cache, when to our dismay we realised we hadn't logged it. Not the first cache in recent times we have overlooked when logging.
Setting the scene , we had just attended a nearby Event held by Na'wal in the gardens when it was decided by a group of attendees to tackle this multi.
Eventually the well disguised cache was ours to sign.
Thanks diana8 for the tour.

Today Geoff and I came up to the nearby event in the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, and effectively cleared out the rest of the area in the process. A few new caches had popped up in recent times, so it was good to get out and about to knock them off.
A great little multi with a nice final hide. A great park to show off.
Thanks once again diana8!

After a nearby event, I decide to tackle this multi. The walk around the gardens was quite brisk, as it was a cold windy day. Thanks for showing me this area, and thanks for the very enjoyable multi !! TFTC diana8

DAB, theTritonz and myself had a big day planned up and around the St. Kilda area. We set off from Geelong in the early hours of the morning before the sun had risen. Our main goal for the day was to complete the Quest series. It was another great, fun day out with awesome company [^] and some great caches found.
A nice walk in the great St. Kilda Botanic Gardens. With a group assault on this one led to a quick find once at final coordinates. Signed and replaced as found.
