### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there Fred&Mandy,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

Great overnight campsite! Clean and tidy. Peaceful. On our quest for the golden dragon! Woke up this morning and wola a cache here!
A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.
Nice forest. No mozzies. Very nice.
Nice forest. No mozzies. Very nice.
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. The log is very, very, very wet and needs replacing.
Currently holidaying in Lakes Entrance and the weather overall has been pretty wet to say the least. After visiting the nearby Trestle Bridge, we stopped in here on the way back to our accommodation to explore this area and find the cache which we did. However, the log is very, very, very wet and needs replacing although we did manage to sign. Maintenance request to be logged. TFTC TNLN.
Found it! This was our last cache find for the day. We stopped here and discovered the forest floor was carpeted in flowering natives including wax lipped orchids, sun orchids and we even spotted a donkey orchid as well as lots of other flowers and grasses. Some flowers were a bit bedraggled after all the rain but we were really happy to have found this fabulous piece of bushland. Thanks for bringing us here! The cache was found easily. Unexpectedly, it’s a bit damp! TFTC SL
We found this one on our last day of being at Lakes Entrance for a few days during the school holidays. Container was wet so I put the logbook in a bag with a silica bag to try and dry it out.
First find of today on the final days of my Gippsland camping/geocaching holiday. TFTC

The work year has finished, so it’s time to head off on another road trip - to explore ‘The Pointy End’.
DAY THREE: Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale
This wasn’t on our list but we thought we’d stop to give the mozzies a feed.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Fred&Mandy

Day 3 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. Today we packed up camp at Woods Point and headed back west towards Bairnsdale via Nowa Nowa and Lakes Entrance to name a few. Today I will hopefully travel through my last UBD map and tick off another LGA on my list.
Looked in a few spots before spotting the cache. A lovely spot for a picnic. Log was a little wet.
Thanks Fred&Mandy for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Lots of mosquitoes around but we had fun looking for our first GZ. We were all excited when we found it. We also loved seeing so many wildflowers in the area.
So nice and easy to find ….Yes thank you for not making me stick my hand in spiderwebs
This is our first chance to take off in our motorhome and test it out. It is so long since I have been caching, I am feeling very rusty, with very little caching over the last 18 months. Now we are semi retired, so we will no doubt get familar and catch up on some very late logs.
Stoppped off and made a quick find here.
Thanks Fred&Mandy for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

On my way back to Lakes Entrance and stopped at this one. Great clue and spotted straight away. TFTC
We found this cache today on our Bairnsdale - Bruthen - Nowa Nowa - Orbost - Marlo - Lakes Entrance - Bairnsdale Road Trip. Quite a rough road on the side that we came in from. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Awesome spot. Crazy awesome structure. A quick easy find, exactly what I wanted (and needed) after a few rough NDFs in Lakes. Tftc.
Out with dotmay66 visiting and supporting fire ravaged towns and finding some caches along the way. Visited Clifton Creek, Granite Rock, Sarsfield, Bruthen and Nowa Nowa. This was our last find for our day out. TFTC and for bringing us to this location.
We stopped on the way to Little River Gorge Falls,
We need one cache on map page 23 of the Victorian UBD map book to be able to complete that challenge cache.
That is our goal.
We live in Regional Victoria this is the last Covid-19 lockdown weekend for metro Melbourne .
So we thought we would take advantage of that on the cup day extended LWE, we created for ourselves, and take this 4 day tour to do this one achievable but lengthy access trip.
We were suitably impressed with this cache site.
Unfortunately we didn’t have time to do the walk, but it planted the seed to eventually return.
East Gippsland is wonderful!

What a cool structure that has been built near this cache. Thanks for bringing it to our notice. We did stop and soak up the cultural wonder of the location, especially the vegetation nearby. If it has any significance to the local indigenous community it wasn’t obvious. Some information about that would have enhanced our experience. The cache was found more from a distance of a few metres than closer to it. All was in good condition.
After working in front of a computer screen in my lounge for the last 8 months, it was good to be able to get away. Geohusband, Ausyowie, was explain how he had visited this area many moons ago as a child, so whilst he was driving, I searched interesting cache in the area.
A wonderful area to visit.
Cache guarded well by a determined team of mozzies. (Poor Ausyowie has many bite to prove it)

Enroute to Mallacoota after geowife Malipara had spent the better part of 6 months working from our lounge room.
I recall coming to this area as a child iver 40 years ago to visit an aboriginal co-op and we were talking about in the car. That brought us here.
Lessons learned and a quick find before we were on our way. Thanks Fred and Mandy.
Took nothing but time to read the signs.

Thanks for the hide. Kids loved finding this one and loved running around the area to explore.
Our for the day because the weather is perfect! After a stop off at Lake Bunga we decided to do a few caches- this being the first for the day. Cache is in fine condition, though did feel a little damp inside. Signed log and replaced cache. TFTC
Out for a drive on a long weekend seeing we can finally stay away overnight. Read the information boards then started looking for the cache. Found the cache out in the open so rehid it a bit better, hopefully it is in the original place.

Now off to look at the Burnt Bridge

I want to than the cache owner for bringing me to this spot. It is perfect and I have enjoyed my time here. Nice easy find which added to the pleasure. TFTC.
Our road trip continues and we are just picking up a few caches along the Princes Highway to break the journey, along with ilook4geo. This was an easy cache to find and the log was soon signed, with all being put back into place before we moved on. Thank you to Fred&Mandy for placing and maintaining this cache.
Our day leads us further south along the highway with goingplaces2, while picking up the occasional cache here and there. This was one of the caches we found, the log was signed and our day went on. TFTC.
Stopped to read and take photographs as well as sign the log. TFTC and showing us this amazing structure. Kutgw
Thank you - first find with my 2 youngest. Our local area lots of mozzies to greet us
Found by Mary and David at 17:00. Our last for the day as we head on in to Lakes Entrance. Bitterly cold and rainy after beautiful weather during and just after "The Gong" Mega. A very interesting place, and we liked having to find information from the signs ourselves. Mary also loves infusion sachets. Our thanks to Fred&Mandy.
Found on day 8 of Fergzters family holiday that went from Ballarat to OzGeomuster at the Gong and homeward again via the coast route. Today we travelled between Eden and Lakes Entrance. This was our last find of the day as we headed into Lakes Entrance. Thankfully a straight forward find as we were getting a bit travel weary by the end of the day. Many thanks to Fred&Mandy for showing us this place.
A quick find with frmen1 on our way down to the 'bridge' to toss a line in. Lovely area. TNLN TFTC

Hi there Fred&Mandy. A busy day driving from Lakes Entrance to Merimbula and of course to find a few Geocaches as well. This container and log are in good condition - SL. Thanks to Fred&Mandy for this cache - our find #6463.
We found the heavy item and the obvious hiding place but no sign of the cache even after having widened our search.
Found this a while ago; logging now.
On my way for a trip down south and stopped here when I saw this cache near the road. Parked the car nearby and then it was just a short walk across. Read the hint, which definitely helped. An interesting location here. Then it was back to the car and on with the trip. TFTH

Last time I was down this way, I managed to drive past this one. I made sure I didn't do that again today. Quick find of the neat hide. TFTC Fred&Mandy.
A quick find on the way through from Nowa Nowa. Might have to return to explore the heritage of this area.
Thanks Fred&Mandy for the cache.

What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
