Logs
Day one riding the Great Taste Trail from Nelson to Wakefield. A nice quick stop here to find the cache and we were back on our bikes. The log was wet and it was hard to sign our name and needs replacing. TFTC
I was trying to avoid getting in to the really long grass in this area as I thought it would set me off sneezing but it didn't luckily and the cache was in a good hidey place. TFTC
Goal for the month: get all the unlogged but found caches logged.
Sorry for being lazy, it's fun to find them but then I lack the time to get on the computer and do the "paperwork". Found on a bike ride to Wakefield, actually on the way back direction Brightwater.

Lost my pen along the cycleway somewhere, hope the photo is sufficient. We are very lucky to have this cycle way available, and a bonus to have caches along the way. Tftc
Out tooling around on a beautiful autumn day grabbing some caches log signed - thanks for the cache
I felt really exposed here, although I suppose the houses are far enough! Interesting container, I have never seen this product before. TFTC!!
I parked at the north end and took the pleasant walk to GZ on a glorious morning. TFTC.
A quick find with Tregearp whilst on a loop around Wakefield to earn some metres for the Reach the Peak challenge. All in good order. Thanks no. 13 for the cache.
. SJT_NZ and I headed off to get some caching in on such a lovely day, a nice loop walk down the cycle way, through Wakefield and out the other side while we attempted to climb the current peak. Thanks no.13, all in good order.
SO impressed by these cycle trails! Family cycling holiday imminent! All in good order. Bone dry! TFTC no. 13
I have been here before with no luck. Lots of woolly things about today as there are dog trials so lots of dogs and masters as well. Had to wait for them to depart before returning. Quick easy find today. Cheers
Zara and I are in Nelson for a few days. Toby stays behind this trip as hes back at the Motor Drs. Zaras booked for a heater - which was a 'no go' in the end. Some caching and and event at Tahuna. And check out some Op shops. So lets go see what we can find.

Hi no.13
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

We found some rocks in a likely nook, but still not too sure that was the right place so did not install a replacement. So a DNF from us too.
Quick find just had to wait for the muggles to ride bye before I could sign it TFTC
A quick grab on the way back after going for a walk on the bike trail. Thanks for the cache.
First day cycling on the Great Taste Trail: Spooner's Tunnel to Mapua via Rabbit's Island. In the end I had finish 55 km and found 10 caches along the route. It could definitely have been more, but then I also wanted to cycle without stopping every few meters. So I tried to find a good mixture.

Was wondering if I was going to get a long enough break between showers today to get out and get a cache without getting wet. Finally decided I wasn't, so grabbed a coat just in case and headed out. In a long queue of traffic heading towards Richmond, with the lead vehicle doing 20k below the posted limit, but had a good run once I turned off the main road. One vehicle in the vicinity when I parked up to head for the cache but they had gone by the time I reached GZ. Hide quickly spotted and the rain had stopped enough so that the log didn't get wet when I signed it. Back to the car and home in the sunshine. tftc
My partners geosenses we’re going off, so we had a look at the app and this was just ahead! Tftc!
#16025. There were lots of woolly things (big and small) in the neighbouring paddock. The weather was ideal for a short morning stroll. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on day one of our long weekend visit to Nelson.
A pleasant walk in the sunshine, along a trail we had to ourselves this morning, and a quick find for SW at GZ. Lots of adorable wee lambs in the neighbouring paddock. Nice to see the CO later that day at the event. TFTC.

A nice and quick find. Cheers.

Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

My man took me on a caching exploration...hitting the road between Brightwater and Wakefield...After a slow start to the year I have got my caching mojo on and am trying to hit 365 for the year! A lovely walk along farmland to grab this and the next cache...enjoyed the views as I went along. TFTC
Over in Nelson visiting a cousin and thought a long way drive home would be nice.... No bike with me today - so just a walk to this one. I will have to come with a bike someday soon - there are so many cycle trails here... fantastic to see.

Nice little track this, thanks for bringing us here. We walked it today, and were not the only ones to do so. Quick find as expected, thanks no.13.
Day 2 of our weekend in Nelson. Today's caching target was Wakefield and Brightwater, places we were not too familiar with. All up a successful day by our standards - 26 or so found with a couple of DNFs for various reasons, but we had a good brunch out at Brightwater and got to briefly meet a CO on our travels. A few good walks and a decent amount of multis to allow us to learn more about these towns. Thanks to all COs for the caches. We will be back, hardly scratched the surface

I was out in Wakefield playing golf and had a bit of spare time to grab this one. Found it out of cover in the nearby field probably due to all the rain we've had. Replaced in logical position. TFTC
I don't get out this way often enough. Nice peaceful stroll here today, thanks very much
This was an easy, quick find! number 9 today! We seem to be on a roll!! Lots of sheep watching us as we found this one, but no muggles on this trail today. Guess they are all at work! Poor souls!
Not a good gps hint but using a phone is never overly reliable we think....got him though just before we got seriously serious.....tftc
On my way home from a funeral and just wanted a wee wander so this was perfect - nice and quiet around here today and just a nice way to walk and reflect tftc
With mrs capperz on work duty for part of the day, and with time and my daughter on my hands I looked around at what an easily bored teenager would like to do, that would also involve a little bit of geocaching. I decided that it was long overdue time to take the bikes out of the garage and so it was with the two bikes on board that we set out to ride pat of the new Wai Iti trail, Spooners rail tunnel and part of the G T T that I didn't finish last time over the hill (almost a week ago now) We headed in via the backroads through Golden Downs forest and picked up a few random other caches too including the last few caches for the Bakers Dozen series. As it turned out the Waypoints for Spooners didn't get added onto the G P S though I did find 2 of them by sheer memory/luck/perseverance. We even managed to squeeze in an event attendance before heading back over the hill and home.
Heading back steadily towards town and picking up random caches as we travel
Q E F here after a quick amble down the path and replaced as found

We need to cycle this part of the trail very soon. Nobody about today. TFTC.
Enjoyed getting out amongst the sheep and the dogs. - - - The dogs must have been bored as they welcomed me from afar - - - and farewelled me as I left. A great spot for a cache. Thanks ! Picked up trackable and will check what its mission is.
Quick find on way back from Sunday bike ride. Log book very wet. Placed TB in cache. TFTC
Mrs SoBad headed for Wakefield and a pie for tea. Well that make a good extra excuse for caching on the way. Short walk and an immediate find here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Did enjoy the short walk with the warm wind first at my back and then in my face on return. Count for today - one cacher, three walkers, one jogger and one in a mobility scooter. Not making any comment on who was the woolliest but just saying there was more to observe of the jogger in his running shorts! TFTC #8062
Needed 4 caches today for the 4 plus challenge so Wakefield seemed like good option. Nanzie came along for the ride and was the one to find it. TFTC no.13

What a lovely spot, feel like I've been here before
Many muggles on wheels and even a stroller going bye , but all done and dusted, with no woolies present. Thanks for the cache well done.

A severe case of de ja vu here but this time I arrived by bike so a slightly different experience. I was glad to hop off and enjoy a drink while grabbing the cache.
Thanks no13.

Out and about finding a few "new" caches.
I feel like I've missed out here as some have managed two for the price of one.
A short stroll and find. Mrs farmer was up on the hill on the quad bike putting out an electric fence.

Parked the car and had a nice gentle stroll to GZ for an easy find. Lovely area so thanks for bringing me here no.13!!

Up with the larks this morning as I needed to get some work done ahead of a busy, long weekend. However our woolly friends seemed intent on having a lay-in somewhere as none were to be found at the GZ.
Seeing as I was (kind of) heading this way, I thought I'd detour to take my chances here.
It really is nice to be out and about here in the early hours; you really could be in the middle of no where; apart from those three cyclists who appeared out of no-where just as I was searching for the cache!
I got it though, without raising any suspicions; I think. I hope!
Cheers for the hide guys.

Oh, what the heck! I'll head off to work after I've taken a nosey at those other couple of new-ish caches near the church.

A shortish detour on my way to the shops this morning and then a short walk to the cache. Only two bikes passed me while I was near GZ and none were about while I was searching. All good after a short search then. TFTC, Biggles.
Still in recovery mode after multiple bee/wasp stings while caching yesterday we rose early and thought finding a new cache was in order. Thank you No 13
It was too hot for much else even early this morning so what better to do but head out to find some newly published caches. This was the first one, and actually the only one we intended to find, and since we'd been here recently we knew exactly where to go. Consequently a quick 2TF and sign of the log.
Thank you no.13.
