Thanks for your amazing cache GSEL. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. All good here. Cheers, Cympull.
Stopped here on the drive south. Cache was in good order but the log was filling up so put in fresh sheets. Have photos of the past logs so you can see who has proceeded you. Happy hunting oh restless ones...
Back on the caching horse after a year with a broken ankle. Making our way home from the brass band champs in Auckland. Found with Piwaka 54 - glad I stopped for a toilet break in Waiouru
In the morning I left Hastings in sunny and warm weather and in the evening I arrived in the cold and rain of the Tongariro National Park. The road was nice and scenic, so I stopped at various monuments and railway bridges and hunted for caches. I had several DNFs today and some caches were wet and logbooks were full. Still, thanks to all owners for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
Easy park and grab. A shame about the overfilled rubbish bins! Thanks for placing the cache
For a safety feature cache, this one is well placed. Just a few kms from our mountain base, and a good spot to stretch. Th
Quick drive by cache. Nice not to have to search through bushes on this ver wet day. TFTC .
Quick stop here while heading north to grab this cache before continuing my journey, TFTC
This was the final cache I found today during my drive back to Wellington from the Bay of Plenty. By time I got to this cache, it was starting to get late and I needed to get back home. I have noticed this rest stop numerous times during my previous travels along State Highway 1, but I do not think I have ever stopped here. Typically I would have stopped in Waiouru or wait until Taihape.
I figured this cache would be a relatively quick park and grab, so decided to quickly stop by to try and find it. I parked my car within one metre of the cache when I arrived. I quickly hopped out of my car and found it within 30 seconds of searching. This was probably one of the quickest finds I had of the day. I returned to my car to sign the logbook before replacing the cache and continuing on my way.
Thanks for placing this cache here.

Quick stop while on my continuing journey south, a muggle van was leaving as I pulled in so it was a quick uninterrupted find.
Heading south today. Collecting a few park and grabs on my way. Had the place to myself for a quick find and sign. TFTC
Day 11 of my Spring Holiday and after spending a couple of days in Cambridge it was time to make our way home. First leg of the journey is to Wellington to catch the Ferry.
Early start and left at 5.15am in the rain. A couple of planned stops once it was light enough and keeping a close eye on Google to make sure we still had a good half hour up our sleeve on our arrival time. Very critical and quite handy really so will be using it again for sure...on mute of course haha. Nice quick find here and still have time for a couple more yay TFTC

As I travelled past today I noticed no resters here, and with no traffic up my mule it was an ideal opportunity to make the quick p&g. All good here.
Found by Blenheim Bear on a wee day out checking bridges in Taihape, nice weather and a quick easy find. Thanks for the cache all good today. Blenheim Bear
It's my Mega weekend road trip! This is day one, on the road to Auckland. Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Cheekily crossed the road to stop here, mainly as an excuse to let the convoy of trucks ahead of me get some distance.

A nice and easy find at GZ. The shade was welcome relief are the last couple of caches!
TFTC!
TFTC!
One of several caches located today en route from Taihape to Taupo. I had somehow missed finding this one when I passed this way in mid-November, probably because I’d concentrated on the wrong area. It was a reasonably quick find today! #4392. TFTC.
No other vehicles in the park, so a nice quick find thanks. Last for the day.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we cruised up to Ohakune to see a carrot.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Had the place to ourselves and really liked the splendid trees. Beautiful horse chestnuts and ?hornbeam. Oh and a great cache too. Thanks.
When I saw the previous DNF I thought that I might be out of luck. However it was sitting nicely in its logical spot. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
I found 13 caches today between Ohingaiti and Te Kuiti (almost). However this wasn’t one of them. Anticipated a quick find, but I didn’t manage to come up with any find! Spent a few minutes searching but, sadly, came away empty-handed. If it’s there, I surely couldn’t spot it!
A nice quick find here before heading back home through the snow falling on the desert rd. TFTC!!!

The original site kept getting muggled and was not pleasant to search near where people had been toileting. So now in a more sanitary hiding place. Will require more stealth.

Moved to a better place to avoid issues with fouling. The container is the same one left by capperz.
I gave permission to capperz to replace this missing cache. I suspect this rest area must get cleaned out by community volunteers or the local council once a year as the containers do have a tendency to go missing. Please ensure the replacement cache is covered well with natural camo. Thanks capperz. Cheers GSEL
After a message to the CO following yesterdays failed attempt I was back today with a (t)rusty mint tin and some swaps inside as well as a RITR logstrip in a zip-lock. Took a while to find a nice piece of bark to put on top and found a small stone too, before chucking some leaves on top. Hope it lasts. Have often thought this place needed a cache, glad you picked to place on here GSEL.
Left Taihape later than I'd hoped thanks to a certain thing taking Extra time and I paid the penalty with a reduced itinerary. Caching still happened though.
The weekend is here and for a change I've got a four-dayer planned with a trip across from Taupo to Napier to have a couple of nights in Havelock North and local area, followed by a trip back across the Napier-Taihape Road to stay at our daughters for a day before watching the football on Monday and then Coming Home, he's coming home, capperz is coming home (football didn't as it turned out! Well done to Italy.
A few nice caches found, not huge numbers so quality rather than quantity. A few more of the PWGT caches as well as some others here and there, thanks to all COs.

Posted wrong log here.. Searched all the spots around the trees here and then it started to drizzle so we gave up and headed back home..
Thanks GSEL for placing this cache
It was a nice shady rest stop here and a quick find
Despite 2 big bins there was still lots of rubbish at GZ so I CITOd some, putting it back where it belongs.

Luckily no one was resting or doing other things when I arrived, so I found the cache quickly. Just as well, the place got busy!! TFTC!!
Ohakune to Fielding today. Planning to attend the event there this evening. Collecting as many caches along the way as we can. Stopped here for coffee and a smiley. Thanks
Cruising my way back home to Wellington from Tauranga, I made a quick wicked quick stop here, all good - TFTC
tftc quick find while trying to battle the raindrops... and losing... all in good order.
Good find as we were driving down to Napier after staying at the Chateau for our wedding anniversary.
Good day for caching with nice quiet roads.
Thanks
Good day for caching with nice quiet roads.
Thanks
Stopped here while driving north to check on the cache. It was in same spot and the log sheets were dry. I removed the full logs and left new logsheets. Plus the replacement log that someone else has put there recently. Should be enough to keep it going for a while. Make sure its well covered by natural camo. Cheers GSEL
Last cache of the day due to fading light and a need to get across the Desert Road before dark. Found easily enough with @peadub. Signed log and returned where found. TFTC.
Nice easy find. Car pulled in while we were in the rest area followed by police car - pinged for speeding. This is the 3rd police car we have seen today and it is only 9.30am. Take care not to speed
With Vonnienz. Is great coming 'round the mountain to see snow and sun on it on a blue sky day.
Next one on the way to Wanganui.Another quick find, thankyouGSEL.Incidently the log is very full & i didn't have anything in the car to supplement it with.
Lovely road trip with grandson this was a lovely stop let our bus and us rest .afternoon tea
A nice quick find on our way to Napier from Château Tongariro. Thanks for adding more fun to our journey. SL. TFTC.
Day two of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. This spot seemed familiar. Perhaps I'd tried and failed to find this cache in the past? No problems today. GPS took me straight to it. TFTC, Biggles.
A quick grab on the way south, the weather has cleared and it's getting hot. Cheers
On my way back from Wellington to Rotorua and this cache provided a much needed break to stretch my legs. Found the cache no problem although the log was pretty damp inside the bag. As I returned to my car I saw a couple of people arrive who were watching their phones and seemed to be wanting me to leave... wondered if they were geocachers and after seeing a new log on this one I'm thinking they probably were.
