reluctantly have to archive as there is so much new building going on and just nowhere suitable to relocate this cache. within the area.
I have had a request to move this as a dog is getting worried about searching people the other side of his fence and people are looking over the fence into properties which is invasive and frankly stupid.
Have taken the cache home to dry out and fix. Will return in about 2 days. sorry for any inconvenience.
Great container, I instantly realized that this wasn't another item of rubbish from under the trees; TFTC
I was caching in the area a few years ago, and this was one I had marked. Alas, it wasn't the nicest of days, and by the time i got to this one, and although my feet weren't going to get any wetter, no caches were going to convince me to leave the tarmac. It's been a few years, but can now tick this one of. Cheers for the find.

I could not replace in the original spot. Heavy clearances of cover needed had been carried out by council, and the home owners over the fence chuck their garden rubbish over anyway making seeking VERY tricky. It's now nearer the road but still in the planted area and away from the fenceline

All good to go, found a nice camo - note changed co-ords if you have previously downloaded.
This obviously needs some attention, I will do this very soon, meanwhile it needs disabling .
This turned out to be quite a yes, no, yes, no, yes, affair. While I was initially hunting round I spied a tiny bit of blue poking from where it was buried. Yeah I thought - that was quick. But I unburied it from the dirt and found it was only a top and broken bit of the bottle it was from. Continued looking and came across the sistema that coconut3 found - left that open so the weather could hopefully rectify what was inside. I was on the way back to the car in defeat when I thought I really should take away that broken glass. So made my way back and when I lifted the blue top there was a zip lock bag underneath which I thought was a bit of a coincidence. So a grabbed a stick and dug a bit deeper and found the rest of the jar and the blue eyes. It seems the neighbours over the fence dump all their unwanted garden waste on this side. I have left the cache as is - but in full view for anyone coming after me because I wasn't sure what else to do. This lovely cache needs some TLC. TFTC # 15,704
not sure why but I can't write a needs maintenance note. I dug this cache out as it was buried in debris and was broken so quite dangerous in its present state - sorry to have to report that on such a cute cache.
Until the viral lockdown is lifted, my geocaches are disabled. Any logs will be deleted. DO NOT Geocache currently.
On our way home from exploring, finding and not finding caches. We spent some time here as no one around. Thought I had found Blue Eyes but when I opened it was someones food yuck. Back to the drawing board and more looking. Amazing what is being chucked around here, after we did more proding I found Blue eye thank goodness. Signed the log all good. Thanks for this cache busy paws.
In Christchurch for the weekend and our daughter is playing football at the Halswell Domain this morning. After her game was done I went for a bit of a walk around the area to find a few caches. Found this one after a bit of a look around at GZ. TFTC, Biggles.

It’s a sunny Saturday so Ms. Caching and I decided to go out for a cache walk. Halswell domain is a place we planned for quite while ago so it’s our destination today.
There is a mini train track with tunnels bridges and mini stations. But unluckily it was not open.
The cache was an easy find as soon as I get higher.
It’s always fun to have good views plus a few caches. Took the TB, not the fidget spinner.

I think I understood what the hint was all about. I think.
Had stopped here before too just like the previous one. But here I didn't log a DNF then.
And of course - it is still there!

We were supervised not by blue eyes, but by a green-eyed black and white moggy who showed great interest in the cache! TFTC
Another nice quick find, cache is all in good order cache number #4998 thanks for the placement
Found with Tregearp on a wet Sunday afternoon whilst collecting numbers for the Hidden Creatures challenge.
All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache busy paws.

A nice quick find in a bit of a challenging location. I soon spotted Blue eyes looking at me and always great to sign another log. Tftc
Found a good spot to make our way into gz and spotted the cache after a shirt search. Tftc from team jejebu.
I'm not quite sure how I've managed go not to find this on several previous visits... but it only took me a couple of minutes this evening... glad to finally tick it off. GLB1721 TFTC (3937)
Quick easy find today. Container is a tad wet inside but log ok. Puzzled that I hadn't found this on a previous visit as I'm sure I looked there! Tftc

I had a trade me purchase to pick up in the area, so I decided to get a bit of caching done - but I was so happy to get out of the house, and so baby brain, that I forgot things like spare batteries, pen, and pretty much everything that makes caching possible - argh!!! But was I gonna let that stop me?! No Way!! I was out of the house, the baby was actually asleep, and I was gonna find as many caches as time allowed!! Haha.
So by this cache I had actually somehow found a pen!! Yay! There was one in the car fallen under the car seat after all!
I'd been here once before when cache was missing for a DNF - this time it was an easy find - yay!

7572. Found after a short search. GPS struggled a bit under the trees. Thanks. Rodney.
Another cache found this afternoon in the rain by Graemey(UK) with grandson Ben and richbritty (NZ).TFTC-Nice Hide.
Blue Eyes crying in the Rain,a great song..No crying here when it was quickly found.TFTH
On a bit of a mission this lunchtime to get a few cache to help reach my caching goal by the end of the year. Only took a few minutes to locate the cache today. Thanks for the hide.
Found after looking like a headcase with hughdg... trusty geocaching gummies strike again
Quick find. All is well. I did the survey for the adjacent subdivision many years ago so good to come back and have a look.
Cute cache......our final one for the day. Very attractive subdivision nearby. TFTC

This seems to have gone with recent clean up in the area. I'll try to replace with an alternative soon.
A quick found today after beer oclock. I needed 2 finds today to fill my 4 finds a day challenge in Nelson, and this was number 2.
It was a wee bit chilly out there tonight!.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Out cycling around in the SW of Christchurch - again! Seems to be a find busy paws cache day today. I hunted around looking lower than higher for nearly all of my regulation 10 minutes before I decided to read some of the previous logs. This caused me to look really low and I soon discovered how the cache name came to be. Given the nature of the container I left wondering whether a bit of cache creep has occured since placement?
Took a wee while to find, very clever! I'm glad this has been put to good use, this was my birthday present to someone special (A.K.A Busy paws) Couldn't have used it better myself

A bit exhausted after work... I'll blame that for being a useless geocacher tonight... couldn't spot it... I will return!
Was not sure what I was looking for at first and after several minutes rummaging around in the trees and bush decided to stand back let the GPS settle and try again. Got within 2 meters but could see anything obvious at first but spotted what looked like some trash under a bush. gave it a bit of a nudge and thought it did not quite seem like rubbish and grabbed it out from the leaves under the bush and found it was the cache. Signed and placed back where I thought it should be. Great wee cache and would have been quicker to find in its more appropriate location.
Quick and easy find this time. We looked for something different last time (no idea what kind of vision we had in our mind) but today it was spotted within seconds. TFTC
We had been to Halswell Quarry to find the letter box there but the early arrival of the southerly curtailed our caching plans there and so we decided to find a few drive bys on the way back home while the rain was still a light drizzle.
This one took a while despite the co-ords being spot on, but the hint a tad misleading, or maybe we misinterpreted it. The rubbish here was a bit off putting so we didn't see the forest for the trees. Finally, StreetWalker made the find, and the title made sense! Great idea for a cache container and what a thoughtful birthday present. TFTC.

#12522. After going round and round a few times, yet another search in the place the GPSr was pointing yielded results. Nice hide! TFTC.
Nice cache, took a while before something showed itself up. Helps being out at 11pm I think. Cheers
No luck and abandoned the search after a muggle stopped and asked what we were doing. Will come back at night with a torch!
Out today with cache owner (Mum) and my daughter Geo Jessie, found this on very quickly - was not quite in the right place, signed log and replaced where it should have been and had a quick reminisce about days long gone when I learned to drive down this road when it was nothing but paddocks and was unsealed. TFTC and the memories.
TFTC. Out to pickup a few catches on this beautiful ANZAC Day afternoon. I remember driving down this road when it was shingle and not a house in sight. Doesn't seem that long ago!!!
Thanks busy paws for placing this cache.

I could see this one as I approached and pleased I was able to grab it now. Clever container well done.
Found in under a bush. But worked out quickly where it belongs. Aptly named and great camo. Tftc
After school drop off wanted to get a cache or 2 as going to do the plasma donation thing later on as well as parent teacher interviews.....I always get nervous with them dunno why. Any way parked on the wrong side of the road to start off with elected to move around. Gpsr was bouncing around but reading the hint and description again and baby blue was located. Bam cache in hand. A good gift for a cacher. ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC busy paws , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 11 April 2016, cache number #1289!
Enjoying a stroll around Halswell this morning. This cache was one of those "well is it that?" type. And I was right. The old blue eyes that I had seen was the cache. TFTC.
Now that I have completed my calendar, I am aiming to get rid of all the dash days. Today was one of those days. I had enough time to find a few caches before work. SO off I toottled in my geomobile.
I can see why this one has earned all those favourite points. It gets one more from me. A very clever container, thank goodness I didn't get wet finding it.

I had some time up my sleeve this morning as Mrs TW was heading in for an appointment. I have been waiting just shy of four years to get a cache on this day as I started caching on March the 8th 2012. Once you get started with grid filling you realise that there was a bit of a wait to grab this date. I couldn't tell which side of the road I needed to be on and tried the wrong side first. Once I was on the right side of ther road the blue eyes were staring at me! Fav from me and fav for being my first 29th of Feb cache!
Thanks for the cache busy paws.
