*Having the day in Wellington before taking the ferry across to the south island tomorrow.* Quite warm going up this hill, but it's worth it for a cache or two! My husband thought it was funny looking at me looking for this one **#4477**

It's a nice sunny day outside (Yay! Summer is coming!) so I decided a walk around Wellington was in order, to collect some of those many solved-but-still-unfound puzzle caches. I got a ride (well, a couple, actually) to Courtenay place and then walked up to find the St Gerard monastery cache. That found I then came out this way. Well, the houses might have a good view but the trees are a bit high to get much of a view from the road. The cache was a nice easy find though.
Visiting friends in town, and almost forgot to get a cache for our streak. Street was complete deserted, which made for a quick find here on the way home. Thanks exodus722
Similarly to a previous cacher, groaned when I saw GZ, but applied cacher logic and had it in hand quickly. TFTC
A park then a long walk and grab today. Nice quick find and sign and all quiet at game zone. thanks for the cache.

Out for some cache finds on a wet Wellington morning with essap2. #7 TFTC exodus722
Quiet street with a good hide and very cool swag. And I met a nice black poodle named Scout. Thanks!
Simple lil wander down the road but it's still taken me a while to get this one! Wish I had my trackables on me but I didn't. Will go by at a later date to drop one off if I can fit it. Tftc!
Found some peace of mind with this view, so placed the Mackay Rock from GC7Z05W (Canberra, Australia) as well as a painted rock found in GC6AYNF (North Sydney) and took a little jagged white rock that a cacher had left previously! On with the rock-swapping.
I was heading into town this evening to attend an event. Surprisingly I made good time from work, so had a spare half hour. So do I pay for parking to sit on my bum for half an hour....or go find some caches? A bit of a no-brainer really Pretty much a park and grab here this evening, apart from there already being a car parked right by GZ. There was no-one around as I walked over and made the find. No issues with the cache itself. Thanks for setting it all up.
Thanks exodus722 for this cache.I found it back in September while visiting Wellington and going for a walk up Mt Vic. TNLNSL TFTC
After my walk up Mt Victoria, I came down by this side and detoured down this lonely quiet road to hunt this geocache.
Had to stifle a groan as I arrived at gz. Uuugh. A rock wall.
Looked here there and everywhere a short while, before I stood back and thought where would I hide a cache here. Hmm.. somewhere I could easily refind....
Then I literally walked upto it and sure enough there it was.
Thanks for showing me this quiet corner with a geocache!

Swung past after a wtmc presentation. Quick find them a run down the track nearby carrying my bike. Tftc
Walked up to this one from Oriental Bay on a beautiful afternoon. Thanks for this straightforward hide
I somehow took the stupidest route getting here, scaling up vertical bush through masses of vines and mosquitos. I popped out just in time to say g’day to a man from the gated community, walking his baby, who kindly told me about the stairs just round the corner. Oops!
Very strange but interesting location, thanks for the cache!

Felt weird rummaging around the property of these wealthy weirdos but a nice spot nonetheless
Had a free few hours today so decided to grab a few caches nearby Mycro Man's regatta. First one I attempted took me to the wrong side but after the GPS settled down it was a quick find in a very logical "out of site" location. Thanks for the cache..
Nice, easy find in an area we had never seen before. Felt very conspicuous when a resident's car arrived when we were mid-logging. TFTC
No bathing beauties here today. Perhaps it's the altitude. Had a chat to an arriving resident who asked if we had been playing the game. Nice chat and he said he had chatted to some French cachers in the past. Nice quick find. Tftcsl
As per normal bkj97 chatted to one of the residents who had just returned to their gated community. An interesting detour to a spot we didn't realise was there. T4tcsl
Needed to ignore the coords and look for clue item. Then it was quickly in hand tftc
I was frustrated initially in my search, but through the power of friendship, it was finally found. I am thankful for my companions and their companionship, and highly enjoyed my search xx
Boy o boy o boy was i engulfed with happiness to find this cache! Me and the two boys we were lookin and looking and Ben he found it but me and Logan could not!! He didn't tell us where it was but o boy did he give us hints!! Soon we were so close we could practically taste cache in our mouths!!! We found it
Found on a windy Welly day. Left the tag for Tamati Bear and collected Michel.
I'd planned a route to walk around Mt Victoria a bit by parking up at the lookout. I followed the steep tracks downhill to Hay Street (passing by a cache I had no interesting finding due it's poor location) . Now, there's a track over to Bayview Terrace somewhere but where is it? While staring at my phone and comparing the map with my surrounds a "helpful" woman asked if I needed help finding something. Okay, "isn't there a path to Bayview Terrace around here somewhere?" to which she responded by gesturing just up the nearby accessway which was somewhere between a road a driveway in nature. Sure enough, there were the steps I followed a great little inner city track with stunning glimpses of the harbour (which proved very hard to photograph due to the location of the sun).
Once up on Bayview Terrace I made my around the short distance toward GZ noting that there was plenty of suitable parking along here should I DNF this and need to return with a car one day. No sooner had I rounded the bend I saw muggle pfaffing about on the footpath (possibly some type of gardening activity) right opposite GZ. No amount of stealth was going to make searching there appropriate so I beat a retreat and went to find another cache a few hundred metres away.
Rather than continuing my original loop plan I came back here just in case the coast had cleared and to my surprise it had. So I headed over to what I suspected was the logical place. I didn't find the cache immediately but I was only there 30 seconds or so. Any longer than that and I would have started feeling uncomfortable. I retreated along the street a bit to perch things on the fence to open the cache and sign the log. Taking extra care not to drop anything over the back from where it would have been extremely inconvenient to retrieve.
An uneventful returning of the cache followed and I left pleased I did not have to try that again. It's a nice enough area but caches on the street are my least favourite kind.
Thanks for bringing me to a location I was certainly have never visited otherwise.

Probably being dense but could not find this one despite searching. Had fun trying.
Didn't know this road existed. I was surprised by the number of muggles coming and going from this large estate. With two Labradors keeping guard from the balcony. A nice park and grab cache. TFTC.
Had seen this on map for years....but this time while staying in Brooklyn I had the use of a car....so we came here after Ten Pin Bowling.
Pretty quick find for me....although Mr 10 was tempted to have a bit of a climb!

This was one of those caches that had seemed to escape my attention despite it being in existence for nearly five years. I called by today to see an area I hadn't been to previously. I didn't exactly find the cache immediately but I got there soon enough; it is in a sensible spot. I dropped off the Michel trackable that I picked up when in Auckland recently.
Great hint as you dont want to be here ages looking around, but def a interesting spot. Wouldnt have come down here without a cache at the end. TFTC.
Fairly easy find with @peadub while out biking. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Walked down from the peak and managed to grab this one. All is well with the cache, thanks CO.
Felt very exposed at big security gates! Kept looking for the cameras... Cache found in good order, tftc!
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #785.
Made my way in here while winding my way down from the top. Pleased no one came or went while I was there. TFTC # 14,746
It must be Opposite Day for my compass for it was on the other side of the road. Thanks for the cache.
Needed a cache for the day to go towards the 7 day streak challenge souvenir.
However I thought it wise to remain clothed around here.
Owing to commitments later
in the day it was best to get the caching done first thing if possible and now I live closer this was a suitable option. The timing today turned out to be a good move as previous attempts here have been in the afternoon and were difficult owing to being observed by the numbers of people in vehicles coming and going from the nearby premises or even parking at GZ. All quiet at 9 a.m today.
After reading the logs and getting a good GPS fix I found the cache in seconds, in a spot I had been standing in front of previously but had not searched all of the possibilities thoroughly enough.
All good with the cache.
TFTC.

With rebel98 on a mini caching adventure to Wellington
It has been a bit of a walk from Mt Victoria, past the Wellington college, and Government house. In between the showers, we have kept on going, and now we are at GZ.
Luckily the cache wanted to be found, as I had the cache in the first place I looked. Love it when that happens. With log signed, views admired, time to walk to the next cache.
Thanks for the hide exodus722

Out on a full day Mystery at the Museum Gem hunt with Kimmy+co.
Up hill and down dale, great day with not too much wind and the sun shining, a lovely winters day.
Legs will be letting me know about this for a few days, I bet there are bruises to come up too.
TFTC
I'm glad we are down hill from here...

Found while 12YO is at drum lesson. A little bit of searching, bit tricky as the light was fading fast. Used my smartphone torch to find it. TFTC
Was night caching with Geoharry8 today and was pretty certain that we would find this one. We arrived at the location and began our search we started of searching the lamp post but all we found was a Gecko! We had been searching for a while and we where getting tired (the dark didn't help at all!) I was ready to leave after I got spooked by a dog but Geoharry8 persuaded me to keep on looking. In the end I was the one who found it but I had to crouch down to get it. Cache was in great condition, TFTC exodus722!
An early morning find, all quiet and GPS had me in exactly the right spot. All safe and dry here. TFTC.
Some serious searching for more than an hour convinced me that I must be blind or it's been muggled. Great views and a lovely afternoons entertainment.
Cache all in order, nice and dry. Thought this would be hard after reading some of the posts, however found on the second place tried. May have made it easier that weather is not great today so absolutely no one around to hinder the search. Good little spot. TFTC
Looked everywhere even under rocks. But could not find. Reckon it’s been muggled.
