Coming back from working on Wellys - always wanted to pop into this park and have a little explore. Will come back another day with my bike for a better adventure. Incy wincy guardian jumpscare All good here tho with cache and log. Mihi ki a koe, flowerydaze, mo te keteroki #496
Wanting to earn the International EarthCache Day Souvenir I had to search a while to find the best candidate for us. I chose the Peatland one at Queen Elizabeth Park. We hadn't been there for many years which was when we used to come for orienteering. I looked at weather forecasts and it appeared today would be a great day to drive down, and indeed it was. Of course we would also try for a few other nearby caches too. Before we left QE Park we popped a little further along the road to this cache. The coordinates and hint worked very well here and the cache was soon located - I must admit I got a brief start as I pulled the cache out and spotted something out of the corner of my eye! TFTC Flowerydaze
Thanks for replacing this. Took us a couple of looks, but the mini found it without our tired adult eyes! TFTC.
Might have gone for a walk. I can't get to check until next week, so will temporarily disable.
No luck today. Read the hint, knew we were looking for a container and guardian, but couldn't find it despite the clear hint. Might pay for the CO to have a stroll and look if we are wildly off course.
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.
EnglishWe are six Norwegians on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of February and are traveling home after the mega event in Adelaide. We travel by car and Geocaching helps us discover many nice places and often helps to decide where we choose the route between our goals which are: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Dunedeen, and Adelaide. This is one of the caches we found on the trip and we thank you for showing us this place. We who are on tour have the nicknames: MrVonsr, ingsve, EllenSch and TeamEika. And signs the logs with N4.Great thanks for showing us and doing our tour wonderful NorwegianVi er seks nordmenn p tur i Australia og New Zealand. Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrV sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
Out on a geocache trip with Ellen Sch , Team Eika and ingsve on holiday in New Zealand, and today it was this area that was prioritized If nothing else is mentioned, we found the cache at good coordinates and it was fine To save space in the log, we often log in with the nickname N4 Many thanks to CO for laying out and maintaining this Greetings from Norway TFTCUte p en geocache-tur med Ellen Sch,Team Eika og ingsve p ferien i New Zealand og idag var det dette omrdet som ble prioritert Hvis ikke annet er nevnt s fant vi cachen p gode koordinater og den hadde det braFor spare plass i loggen logger vi ofte med nick N4Tusen takk til Til CO for utlegg og vedlikehold av denne Hilsen fra Norge TFTC
Arrived nice and early to have a play in QEII park before a certain someone's special event today - mmm could be to do with this CO. See you soon Flowerydaze. TFTC.
NZB , Itchyfeet2020, Mr MacGoo and I stayed in Dannevirke at the beginning of the trip. We we're finding the Vikings with Itchyfeet2020 and Mr MacGoo.This was for most of the day. After that NZB and I went to go Greytown. During this time I found 3 joint first to finds with Taybee, TaybeeNZ, TwigNZ and Yeti. I also completed NZB's geoart and lot's of NZBs with a smattering of Skindos. Now we are heading to the Hutt and Wellington...slowly
Didn't spot this on the map as we had looked at a different loop for the day but a quick drive by in the end. Luckily not many muggles on the way today. Thanks for the cache ??Apologies for the late log. It appears that we are nearly as bad as armchair loggers??. We actually DO go out and find the caches but because we plan to write up longer and nicer logs at home we also can (read: often do) forget to do so. We could blame the teen and toddler, but travelling the world then moving into a new country unexpectedly (NZ) means we were always busy and now have 500logs to catch up on ?? they are all from drafts so the date of the log will be when we actually visited (not today) which will align with the physical paper log but not CO receiving this email.
Parked on the side of the road adjacent to GZ. Found the spot via the hint, and after a bit of searching, the cache and its guardian were found. Both the log and cache are in good condition. Cheers.Sleepy was here!
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. A quick find to grab the container and add our ink to the log. Park was very empty today of muggles, which made caching much easier. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Trouve ! / Found it ! 4353me cache trouve.Merci Flowerydaze pour la cache 4353th cache found.Thank you Flowerydaze for the cache
Currently in Wellington on a brief trip and trying to pick up a few selected caches for different challenges whilst down here. This was just a side cache to pick up but a lovely area and we enjoyed the walk. TFTC
**19,173**Shame we didn't get to see any trams running but grateful that there are very few muggles about to avoid when collecting these caches. We are mindful that we need to be out of the park soon. Nice quick find here. TFTC
### Around the world in 85 days - Step 8 - New Zealand ###My wife GM70 and I are traveling around the world enjoying beautiful places in many countries. There were no Trams around but a little moment of shock when I had a closer look at the cache in my hand. All the best from AustriaBaumi_Bon the road with my wife GM70
Einmal um die ganze Welt,...Heute sind wir noch hier gefahren, der Park ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.TFTC Liebe Gre GM70 Unterwegs mit meinem Gatten Baumi_B
I was out this way to do a location for an AdLab and thought why not sign off a trad as well.
So I did. No trams today.
Cheers for the cache, Flowerydaze.

This one took me a good while until I was able to spot something not quite right and there it was. Tftc!
Came back to find after my last visit the cache was missing in action. The nest was full this time! A quick park and grab - no muggles. Enjoyed a lovely trail/beach meander afterwards with my nephew - beautiful sunny day. TFTC Flowerydaze
DNF for me - just an empty nest. Will come and revisit as time constrained today.
After searching a few likely places, I found it and signed the new log. TFTC.
Took us a little while of searching since the cache was half covered by stuff but we found in the end
Good cache and great camo thank you

Out picking up a few QE2 caches with the fantastic . We enjoyed a wee giggle at the cache’s companion and waved at the team that came past just as we got back to the car. TFTC. KTG
Out with KTG for a small road trip. Last time we were out here we had our GeoWoofs with us who was being a pain in the butt. So we decided to come out without her so we could find these caches. Good job we read the name of the cache. Because a Tram did actually come past while we were logging the cache. TFTC
Found with Flossie110 on a wet morning. On the bright side, not much traffic around. Liked the cache thank you
The microcachers wanted to be trams so I grabbed the excuse to walk up to this cache. The guardian gave me a bit of a shock but it was soon signed and returned so we could carry on our way. TFTC
Made hubby reach and grab it just in case that wasn't the cache lol. Nice way to bring up 300 finds today. TFTC
Ha ha ha thats why I am cautious when putting my dark places..nice tidy cache many thanks for the enjoyment Flowerydaze
I wat he'd the tram go past feeling self conscious and couldn't see the cache. Macwatt did though. Thanks for the placement Flowerydaze
Went out this afternoon to look for a handful of caches in the MacKays Crossing area. This was one of three that I found. Made harder work in locating this one than I needed to. Took a few minutes but I knew it had to be in there somewhere! Fortunately there was hardly anyone around at the time. #4379. TFTC.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Some may be a little scared but I'm a retired pestie and thought it cute.
Cheers, Cympull.

I was too scared to even go near at first but once I built up my confidence I retrieved the creepy cache signed it and returned it TFTC!
It's so good to be able to get out and go geocaching again. After making sure that there weren't any trams coming, Mrs Sherlock and I made a nice quick find. Loved the theme. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
Enjoying a bike ride through QE park on a beautifully fine sunny, calm winter's day. It took me a little while to find this one, just because it was well camouflaged in the gloom. Nicely done! Thanks Flowerydaze.
Very exiting cache. A wee bit of a surprise! Freaked my step mother out quite a bit! TFTC
Geocaching trip for the school holidays with Miss 14. Done a few in the area as time would allow and this was our final stop of the day.
I’ve had creepy crawlies jumping out at me all day, and the guardian of this cache was no exception.
I squealed. Miss 14 laughed so hard. (Although what she won’t tell you is that she squealed at my squeal! ).
We’ve had a great day, and have both filled our buckets with laughter. TFTC

I feel like I haven't geocached in months so it's nice to take some time out to grab a few today. A nice little spot with an added bonus of a guardian in situ.
Last one on that way back to the beach, it was a great weekend and will be back not only to conquer the rest but also to ride the tram and venture more
Found with a blind fumble, wondered what on Earth was coming out with it! All good in cache, tftc!
Heading down to Wellington and had time to stop and explore Queen Elizabeth Park. What an amazing place. Parked up the camper van and got out the bikes. Some great concrete and gravel cycle tracks. Also enjoyed the history regarding the US marines with lots of information plaques. Well worth a visit. Sadly no teams today but thanks for the smiley. Love ponds nearby.
It was more a case of watch for walkers and joggers, but it was a quick dash across the road between passing muggles to make a quick find. It was only once back in the car to complete the formalities that I noticed the container - haha ! Then another quick dash to replace it.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find.
A park and grab this time. Beautiful rainbow as the showers go past on the hills. TFTC
Located this one during a cache raid of Wellington chasing TMTG caches. No problem with the find but we had to make sure the muggles working on the tram line didn’t spot us. TFTC.
On an unexpected trip south, unfortunately with muggle 81 yr old father!!! So my finds are far and few between, but many thanks for the placements!
Having a day over the hill, very windy today. Great to be here and thanks for the placements.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.
