Just saw it was archived yesterday. I just went looking yesterday lol. Obviously didn't find. Thanks anyway.
Could not find aswell, and only checked the activity after we attempted. Was a really beautiful area though!
Cache may have been moved, used hints and past logs as help but no luck
(# 5660). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 1 was to drive from Wellington to Awakino then down to New Plymouth. My GPS was taking me to one area. Then spotted something so checked it out. Quickly came up with the goods. Everything in order. TFTC
Had a dog barking at us, but despite that the muggles here ignored us. Nice swamp stream. Coords 11m out, more than I would have expected for such a clear open sky.
Merry Christmas!
It's Christmas Dai, day thirteen of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today we are rummaging around New Plymouth.
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Merry Christmas. Came to checkout this forgotten path. Canine muggle was interested in us but not the other muggles so got this one snagged. No log so left a temp RITR log to keept this on rolling along. Cheers.
The day is fading fast so its back to Zara for some ZZZZZs
Day 13- Merry Christmas, Wednesday 25 December. Around New Plymouth again today.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Found it but nowhere near where the gps took us, have moved it back to where the hint suggests
Nice easy find once we worked out it was the first tree from the way we started
Found myself in Bell Block so decided to grab this cache. It was just on dark and threatening rain so was happy that the hint was very clear and the job was quickly done. Thanks

We are up in new plymouth for my mother in laws birthday and I wanted to pop out and locate a couple of caches up in this area . The trackmayhavebeenforgotten once but with all the new housing being built in the area the track is undergoing a transformation it seems I guess it is also paRT of tHE N P to Waitara walkway so that is adding to its transformation. The CO ords were a bit out but the hint took you the right place and it was soon located. It would possibly benefit from being attached as winds could easily shift it from its hiding place.
Thankyoufor the cache and another smiley face. .

We are still learning to use our rather new GPSr, and this one proved a steep learning curve, we were at first searching at the trailhead ... but eventully sorted things out. Left TB: Oliver-Holiday Ammo Can Tag.
A nice quick find, Wow what a lot of boulders on the stop bank. Cheers.
Next stage in the holiday, up to Hamilton. Looking forward to getting there to see one of the duaghters.
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Quick find, cache laying out in the open so replaced slightly more hidden. Grabbed tbs. TFTC
Should have gripped these 2 trackables yesterday, but thought my flight left later than it does!

Back here while visiting mum again. Good to turn this blue face into a smilie after an earlier DNF when fences were being rebuilt.
The path is no longer forgotten - 5 munzee along it now, and it's been extended with significant earthworks happening as the subdivisions continue.
On my phone I was about 12m out, but the hint got me to the right place. Probably should have expanded my search last time.
Thanks for the smilie.

Came back for third time now still can’t find. I don’t know if it’s been moved since there is still a lot of construction going on. Was a month since the last find.
well i think the wall has moved so the posts not the same but gps is taking us to the right spot, check the rocks my friends, TFTC
Thought it was time to clean up my bell block map. This is my last unlogged traditional geocache in the area with just a multi and a disabled mystery to go, then my map will be smiley faces all over
Cache was easily spotted among the rocks and retrieved.
Grabbed the travel bugs to move them on.
Cheers.

Think this one might be gone.
Nothing that looks like a spot to hold this sized cache. The fence has been reconstructed since the previous photo posted, but think it's several meters closer to the stream.
Hoping that the intention is a bridge across and continue the track to the beach.

Quick find once negotiated the building/construction! Looks like the forgotten pathway is becoming an extinct pathway.... Builders have covered much of that end up and looks like more expansions are happening!
Unable to get to track from one end due to construction so found another entrance. The fence has been taken down and cache found sitting on rock pile. Log filled out and cache hidden in rocks.
Trackable drop :

I am over from Australia for a couple of weeks visiting my sister in New Plymouth for a week before the mega event this weekend, and of course taking the opportunity to get some caches in the area. A nice stroll down from the suggested start point (though I spotted one a little closer). Was very glad off the hint when I saw the mound of boulders at GZ! Left a new coin of mine to start it's travels. Thanks Zork V.
After 2 DNF this morning, I finally found one, realised the walkway started from another street, tftc Zork V
In Taranaki for the weekend and collecting a few caches along the way with tmann421.
Lots of fun had with the variety of caches in the area. TFTC

Good walk to the cache here - certainly lots of new houses going to be built at the end soon.

A most interesting and enjoyable walk to this one, all the flax along the way was amazing.

Another dot day so a quick grab at lunchtime, not much happening down here, although there has been some earthworks which I hoped had not affected the cache. But there it is safe and sound. This one is a wrap. Mission accomplished TFTC! Blenheim Bear

Another awesome little pathway that I wouldn't know about if not for geocaching. Try. No travel bugs though:(
Nice peaceful spot. Lovely house, felt a bit like I was in their backyards. Did this walkway used to go further? TFTC
Great short cut to the foreshore. Cache kinda fell into my hand so hope I placed it where it's meant to be. TFTC
Lots of mugged and a building site to contend with. Didn't find today but will come back one evening!
Another one of the lots of little pathways hidden away at this end of town. TFTC
Thank you to the person who hid this geocache !! Was able to find it fairly quickly
Plenty of activity nearby but did not affect finding and signing the log. Took a TB and left another in its place. tftc
I deliberately took the long way around for this one, as I felt like a nice walk. I parked on Mangati road and walked down to the walkway before crossing to Wills road and coming back up again. From there it was a short stroll down the pathway to the cache location. Nobody around today, so I took my time signing the log and looking around. I dropped off a trackable, and picked up one.
On the way back I checked out the hidden seat before getting back on the road and completing the loop back to where I had parked.
The cache is in good condition, and nicely stocked. Thanks for the placement.
