Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??

Found and signed. Container is fine as far as we are concerned, in fact excellent.
Stopped by to check on this guy and found a mailbox at GZ and the gate being used. Will relocate once a suitable container is made
We were keen to get out today for a short drive for a bit of a break. This was an interesting location with some history that I was keen to learn about. Upon arriving at the search area DAB and I had no idea where this one could be hiding but thankfully we were onto the hide after a few minutes. The log is quite fragile and will need replacing.
**Many thanks to H_3 for this cache placement for us to find and enjoy**

Interesting that it was built for the war effort so just 10 odd years as a going concern.
Nice to highlight it with your cache. Nice hide. Logsheet is a bit tired but still just okay. Thanks H_3

What beautiful old buildings. Despite god wanting me to enter the property cache was quickly found and logged TFTC
We probably found it but we think the fence it electric so we don’t want to go near it and I think you need TOTT to get it out perhaps
We stopped here this morning as we drove from Geelong to Mount Gambier. Despite accurate coordinates it took a few minutes to locate this cache, only being seen when we looked from the right angle. It was a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. The old mill has certainly been much more active in the past, being a rather forlorn sight today. Thanks H_3 for the cache.
Really enjoyed viewing and photographing the old buildings, great history. Eventually found this cache, it was very well hidden and camouflaged. Thanks H-3 , a favourite.
Quick stop on our way to camp at the lake. Cool hide, love this kind of hide tftc
Thanks for bringing us here H_3. Great to see and learn about a piece of history in this area. Much appreciated from us. Great hide.
Holiday in Warrnambool for the weekend
enjoyed myself to found it

This one took 2 of us quite a while to find. Initially looking for the wrong type of camo, we went back to some quite old logs and found a hint. Soon saw the cache but getting it was another matter, had to empty the toolbox from the car to find the right implements and even then it was a good 10-15mins before we manoeuvred it into a position it could be retrieved. Seems to be able to be pushed in to far. Thanks for the history on the mill. Very interesting.
Omg!!!! To say that was epic would be an understatement. We located the cache fairly quickly but we it was sooooooo far back it was hard to get. After who knows how long we finally got it thank god
Another reason we love geocaching. Who would have just wandered down here. Great history re the flax mill. Thank you.
Quick trip up the road with a photographer muggle who likes caching purely for the photo ops. This did not disappoint! Tftc
On the way home from the event in Camperdown and managed to find this well hidden cache. Thanks H_3
Wow. We came back for a second go with the appropriate tools this time. It took a bit of time but WE GOT IT . TFTC
Could see it but could not retrieve it. Better tools required than wwhat we had.
Very interesting historical area.

This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.
Found with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks H_3 for the cache.

An 80 year old bushfire[?][?]
Apparently the ageing Bushfire aka Red Ant was having an 80th birthday party and since I owed him a mug or two, I really wanted to attend.
So Rex and I headed off in the Corolla for what ended up being a 4 day road trip to Geelong, Warrnambool and back to Shepparton during which I finally finished the Victorian Premiers whereigo [^][|)]
Had some great company exploring around Geelong prior to the birthday event, we attended 2 flashmobs and yes... I even managed to get pulled over by the police in Geelong (apparently a case of mistaken identity ) on the way to the 3am flashmob and the other geocachers in the car in front of me didn't even realise and just left me! [:o)][:o)]
The next day Rex and I spent ages in the Botanic Park doing a Bushfire multi and sadly we had to bother to CO for a nudge (with a bloody hammer). Then to cap it off, a muggle found the cache for us
I finally got to drive on the GOR and I have to say that I was so glad that I wasn't on my motorbike as it was rainy and blowing a gale for almost the whole road
We saw glow worms [^] and thoroughly enjoyed clear skies and no rain as we did so [^] although bering in there on my own at 2.30am was a bit freaky , then the moment we got back in the car, the rain and wind started again
We spent the night on the way to Warrnambool on the side of the road only to find in the morning that we'd been sleeping right on the edge of a cemetery
All in all an amazing, scenic and fun trip [^] where there was 6 DNFs and 63 cache finds over the 4 days
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Find # 5116
Found while heading down to the Glow worms event.
I had it all this day, torrential rain, galeforce winds, sunshine, and on one flat plain it was totally calm.
I only needed to change my shoes once, due to wet long grass. And thankfully I managed to keep relatively dry while grabbing caches.
It was a long day as I left home just after 10am and got back just around 11pm.
A quick find on the way out of town.

Had a good look around while been watched by cows, but turned up nothing.

Based on previous logs, I thought this would take a while, so we had 4 sets of eyes on the job. Luckily, it took just a minute to locate, so we took the time to admire the calves in the paddock! Tftc

The cache took quite a while to locate and is cleverly hidden.

Had quite a bit of a look, imagine it’s hanging from something but couldn’t find it...
Today the cows were enjoying the area and as there was not a muggle to be seen we did not feel uncomfortable poking around here. SL TFTC
I love caches like this that show the history of a bygone era!
It tooks us quite some time to find the cache with the gps jumping all over the place and we were on a time restriction needing to pick up keys for a holiday house by a certain time. We were about to give up when GMelb said what about ...? Bingo! Took some photos and took off!

Really cool old buildings. I wonder if they will stabilise and maintain these structures or let them crumble.
Now this took far longer than it should have! With a GPS that was jumping all over the place, eventually we used our common sense and made a good find. Then it took us quite some time to pull the nice new log out of the cache! After much heaving and hoeing we got it out undamaged , signed it and replaced the cache. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting spot.
Was up this way for work today so dropped by and replaced the log with a new one. Happy hunting
A nice spot for a quick break on our way to Warnambool for a spot of whale watching
Log is in pretty bad shape. Wet and ripped.

Found as we passed through the area, we found the log on the floor out of the cache, damp but we were still able to sign it and replaced it into the cache, thanks for the interesting info and the fun.
I was returning from the morning down Warrnambool for work and my colleague asked if I wanted to grab any caches since we were well ahead of schedule. The weather was extremely unpleasant so we decided to only stop if we could find a drive-by. This fit the bill and a clear break in the weather looked like we had found an ideal window to grab this cache. Once at GZ we began our search but the weather turned very quickly and soon we were being pelted with hail. My colleague ended up spotting the hide and it was a quick find before a mad dash back to the truck and out of the hail. An interesting location TFTC
Love being brought to pieces of history like this. A quick find meant we were on our way west again.

I presume the roofs are asbestos, which might explain why they haven't pulled the building down. It can be expensive to remove.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Got to GZ and checked a few things, then a few more and one of them had the little blighter.
I wonder what sort of future this almost derelict site will have, as not much to look at now.
A nice easy find here, thanks H_3 for the cache and placement here.

Travelling to Portland with Liz and Bruce, for the 8 months to Alexandra Event, we chose a route via a number of caches, suitable for a leg stretch stop and hopefully reward both teams with a smiley token.
Apologies for the late logs, we are still catching up after an almost fatal computer meltdown.
Thanks H_3 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

#11530. Day 1 of our holiday heading towards South Australia. Today it was Melbourne to Hamilton via a lot of caching stops. Robmc was just off night shift so dozed between finds while I did the driving. A good day of some interesting hides and 26 smilies added.
The old factory and surrounds certainly provides a forlorn vista these days. A naked building is a sorry sight. The hunt for the cache was prolonged and painful. We spent quite a bit of time searching for the elusive hide before Rob finally spied the very sneaky little devil. A tricky hide in a place we had searched a few times already.
Thanks H_3

Day One of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I headed towards Hamilton. Straight off night shift for me meant that BB did all the driving. I did wake up for all the caches though (and lunch!)
It must be crippling for a small town to loose employment of 80 people when the business closed down.
It is surprising that there is so much of the buildings left today - so long after the closure.
Took a little while to locate this one, we looked in the right type of places, but not closely enough at first!
Thanks, Robmc.

We are a group of cachers from Nelson New Zealand on a mega trip around Victoria
Tricky find but a good challenge. While waiting for a guy in his truck to go away in around the flax mill, so my partner sixy2sue and I could continue in stealth mode to locate this well hidden cache.
This one was sneaky! Looked and looked, but couldn't find. We were determined to find it, but a muggle truck driver came to pick up steel right next to us in the private property as we were looking. Grrrr. Had to sit in van and pretend we were having a cuppa until he left. Eventually the sneaky blighter was found. Woo hoo.
Heading home from Warrnambool, gave me the time to stop and grab a few of the roadside stops, that I don't have time to get. This was a great find with it's history. It took a short search to come up with this sneaky hide.
Thanks H_3 for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Heading home from Warrnambool after a fantastic weekend of caching and catching up with friends we made sure we cleaned up some lonely caches along the way. The hide was tricky but eventually we got on the correct side and found the sneaky little devil.

While on my way home from Warrnambool, I stopped at a few different places along the way.
As I was passing through town I stopped at this one and had a look at the structures in the distance and then went about finding the cache .
After looking around for a little while, nothing was found so I was going to throw in the towel and continue on my way home. I went back to the car but decided that it wasn't going to beat me so I went back for another look, this time I must of looked a little better as this time the cache was found.

I had no idea that flax was grown and processed nere during the war hears. What a shame these buildings are being left to fall into, such disrepair. Thanks for this educational history lesson and this well secreted cache. A fav point here tftc H3
Found this sneaky little fellow while making a quick detour from the main road and took the opportunity to grab a cache in town, found after a few minutes of searching but as previous finders have said, co-ord's are spot on. Thanks H 3 for the cache and for highlighting this piece of local history that I never would of stumbled on without geocaching.
Came up here and checked this little guy as the logs indicated the log sheet was wet. Replaced the missing ORing and swapped the sheet with a fresh one. Happy hunting
Eventually found this well concealed cache this morning on the way to Noorat. As others have said, the log is very wet. Thanks H_3.
We were out on a caching expedition with chooknchunk to Camperdown collecting caches as we went. Although this place looked interesting to check out, we resisted the temptation. It is a pity some of these old plants wern't restored so the later generations could learn their history.

Enjoyed a day trip exploring the Camperdown area with The Swaggies, and this was one of our stops on the way down. Quickly spotted by Chook, the log in this cache is very wet and in danger of falling apart. We managed to very gently get our names on the log though. Wonder how long these old ruins will remain standing? TFTC H_3.
Firstly, an apology for my extremely slow logging time (logging this find on 1/7/17).
Today I was driving home from Warrnambool back to Melbourne with the intention of doing a few caches that I would never get the chance to do while in the car with the rest of my family. The highlight of the day was undobutedly Area 51, one of the best caches I've done to date. A find day of driving was had exploring some unknown territory that I have drived past many times before. This cache was the 10th find of 15 finds for the day.
Interesting little spot. Find took a bit longer than anticipated but all good.
