Unfortunately found this one lying open right next to the road. Have replaced contents and rehidden but the combination lock is damaged and won't close
Staying in Geelong for last few days of my trip. Haven't cached this area very much.
On a visit from Sydney and decided to head out pre dawn for a caching run while the muggles were still asleep. Best time of the day to be out and about!TFTC
Found it. GPS was a bit further in. Box wasn't locked. We found the lock on the ground. Trying to lock it ... Looks like the lock is stuffed
I need just a couple more caches to finish off the month to collect the current souvenir and thought that this would be a great way to get that done. A nice sunny afternoon and a bit of time before I was due elsewhere I gave these ones a shot. Most of the caches on this series were in reasonable condition, especially considering the amount of time since they were placed.
Out and about on the Bellarine on a beautiful sunny day after the Geelong CITO. I found the box, and the padlock was already open. I did try to find the combination to close it, so it is now locked again. Many thanks to deshut for the cache.
Spending the weekend at Dad’s place in Leopold and tackling another Geelong 70.3 Ironman tomorrow. I was a bit restless sitting at home so I thought I’d go out for a couple of hours and see if I can edge a bit closer to the next milestone I’m hoping to have by Easter at the Rutherglen Mega.
When I saw these two little trails on my map I thought you beaut! And they were just what the doctor ordered, nice easy finds on quiet roads. No DNFs on the trails either which is always a great thing!
Thanks for all the caches out here!

Nothing like a wonderful treasure hunt for treasure hunters like geocachers.
This series along the road was a lot of fun, and again, we could see the creativity and effort that has gone into making these lots of fun to discover.
We enjoyed this peaceful road, and say a big thank you to Deshut for the effort in putting this series together.

Slowly getting thru some of the small series of caches in this area.
Had a great success rate on the 10 here.
Not sure what happened to the other 5 that went to cache heaven
Great little country lane to travel down.
Think it was this one that I took awhile to find.
Got there in the end.

A quick find at this location on a great day to be out and about.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

Had to change shoes and after such rain, it was a bit boggy in places ... but let's not let that stop us from hunting
buhfuhguh and I went around the bay again today, this time over to St. Leonards where an event and CITO were scheduled to occur around the middle of the day.
A few particular caches were targeted on the way there and back with plenty of fun had in between!
Before the events commenced, I had some researching to do for a long multi-stage mystery and buhfuhguh spotted this small series on the way.
We decided to give it a crack and alternate retrieval duties depending on whose side of the car the posted coordinates were on.
I was surprised to see a locked box for this hide and figured I'd need to read the description for once!
Turns out that there was no such requirement, as the lock simply opened, having ostensibly been kept on the same code by its last visitor in a very convenient turn of events for us.
Thanks to deshut for the hide!

Day plan: drag brain out west for his 3rd cito so I can get my 20th and finally tick off a certain countdown cache challenge on my side of the bay. What are the bonus's collecting some D5's and other odds and ends we get throughout the day, who could really complain.

Nice sized box.
We raised it off the ground to protect water Ingres into the containers structural fabric.

A day's outing while staying at Bellbrae with Bogonghazy had us travel into Geelong where we jumped on the bikes to do a few of the rail trail series and finishing the day in Queenscliff.
This was another great cache in a ripper series on our journey today, thanks again deshut

Out for the day with LittleBoss2 on our short escape to Anglesea. Today we started in the middle of Geelong and rode/worked our way to Queenscliff.
This was a great little series where the roads started great, but deteriorated badly by the end, meaning we decided to walk to the last 2 caches instead of risking the long muddy bogholes.
Thanks for a series that provided a few pleasant surprises SueHut

Would you believe that first I walked around the opposite side of GZ, almost all the way around, then backtracked, then stood in the middle of the road and noticed the cache straight away? Haha. There’s a tree down nearby but the cache is safe and sound.
I do love a code to crack. Reminds me of the days when I used to read Nancy Drew. Thankfully the lock was actually locked and I got it open on the second go. Not a bad effort for me! TFTC

Good sized- quick find
For several months now we have been doing regular caching runs with Rebel Acts, but commitments put a stop to that for a while. We have come down to stay in Geelong for a week or two, and invited Rebel to come for a few nights so we could complete some of the numerous caches around here. As usual we have signed our Joint find logs RASH (Rebel Acts SKI Pair).
The weather started out miserable today so we decided to stick with as many caches as possible that we could get from the car. A few short trails helped with with the numbers, and we were very pleased to see a number of small and regular caches instead of the micro and nanos we often find doing trails. Well done to the Bellarine CO's, its great to find the bigger
containers.

My good friends Ski Pair were heading down to Geelong for a few days and invited Me to join them, who could resist being chauffeured around and the company and laughs are always good. We had a great time touring the area discovering new locations while finding caches, We even managed dinner with Suscoe and Busfire.

Maintenance day, and this one merely needed some cleaning inside. Not sure how much life is in the lock.
Gorgeous afternoon, light breeze, not too hot, and beautifully sunny. Decided to head out to Shepherd's Road and see what Treasure we could discover. We parked one car at the top of the road, and all piled into the other to drive to the other end. As the cache description suggests it can get a little wet at the bottom end of the road, and there were some lovely big puddles to drive through (a bit like jumping in puddles as a kid). Once we were safely parked (not overly easy at the lower end of the road but definitely possible), we started back up the hill to find the 15 caches. This one was the tenth one, pretty much done all the uphill now. Nice to have a short break in the shade and give the geodogs some water. Thank you deshut for this cache.
In order to continue my streak doubling my finds to 1000 in 2 months, I decided to visit the Bellarine Peninsula on the other side of Port Phillip Bay for the day.

As with a few other caches today, the container was attractive for spiders.
Was caught out by the additional security. But I worked it out after actually reading
Was caught out by the additional security. But I worked it out after actually reading
Checked this one and it is in very good condition. As long as the lock is carefully closed it is as good as when I revamped the container.
Found the cache and then realised it was padlocked. Went back and read the cache description again and noted the clues. Started to try the first combination and it fell open in my hands - what a bonus. TFTC
Another quick find and love the concept of the locked treasure however the lock doesn’t seem to be working..
Out caching with Kristysadventures and classycacherAB along the trail! Unfortunately it looks as though the lock has been a little bent to allow it to swing open. Weather may have also damaged the lock as no combination seemed to actually officially open the cache. Great concept though. TFTC
Woke very early on Christmas morning, there was not a peep in the house and it didn’t appear there would be for a few hours. What to do?
Of course. Cache time.

Thanks deshut for placing this Regular Traditional - this is find 1795 for BFMC

After having had enough of people and finding parking spots and needing to be mindful of other drivers we have headed for the dirt.
We have completed three trails today with only one DNF, I suppose you need to leave yourself something to do on another trip. The cache hides have been unusual and mostly different. There has been considerable care put into the construction of the caches. These are the little things that have you wondering what the next cache will be. Because we assumed, at times, what the hide would be we spent far longer at some than what we needed to do. Most of the co-ords were good, a few seemed a bit off but that could be the weather, or it just may have been our GPS not playing nice. We think we may be due for a new GPS; it has had quite a workout over the years. Some are now in need of a little TLC as the contents have been wet at some point with some of them.
It was good not to a trail where all the containers were the same and the cache hides also the same. SL TFTC

Out for the caching day with Crank1 & Everlasting in and around Geelong. Found your cache. Thanks deshut for placing it and for the fun in this series.
Having just completed hiking the Bellarine Rail Trail over the last two days we couldn’t resist making the most of the last hour of daylight and so we came in search of some of the caches in this series. It didn’t take long to home in on and locate this cache once at Ground Zero. The treasure was quickly revealed and log book signed, then we replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
This was the second series for the day, and, just like the first a lot of work has gone into the hides.
Good co-ordinates made for easy finds for all the caches except one.
All were in good condition.
Thanks suehut for the series.

Found with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’

Thanks to the long weekend back home, I was able to pop over the ditch for the mega and a ‘few’ caches along the way! I was really after the numbers on this trip, planning to achieve 50+ each of the three days for a challenge – something that is getting much more difficult back home! The weather was great and I had a ball thanks to all the CO’s placing great caches!
Today’s aim was to find some more along power trails and trailets, and a few interesting others. I am so grateful for the variety in the trails! TFTC!!

Find #3673. Found @ 18:27 with The Good Lady Wife.
We're in Portarlington on a getaway, and getting in some caching is a part of that plan.
The Good Lady Wife and I ventured out without the kids to make a few finds, and I decided that after collecting a couple of the puzzles we'd do some easier drive-bys. I think it was this one that was a cute little treasure chest, I tried holding it up for TGLW to see, but she was absorbed by her game.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache deshut

Grub62 and I decided to do Shepherd's Road Treasure series and the Do You Believe In series so I could finish the world turtle souvenir also getting 1000 cache logs for myself. Most of this series was very clever and easy to find which assists old eyes like mine. Swag left in the caches where there was room and nothing taken.Thank you Deshunt for these 2 series of caches. An important day of caching - hope to get my 150th find, Bunadoorians World Turtle and his 1000th find - so we started on the Shepherd's Road Treasure series then onto Do You Believe In series both by deshut and suehut. Then finishing in Queenscliff at 360degrees. #10 of 30 today. What a golden find .. loved the views of Queenscliff. TFTC and the Shephard's Road Treasure series.
After doing the Fairy series I have come across to do this Treasure series. The road was a bit rough at the start and there was one big puddle I was a bit worried the Commadore wouldn't make it through but it did. Some great design for the different caches and I will award some Fav points to a couple. Thanks again for another great series deshut.

Humming along so fast, I'm cracking a sweat. Had to take my jumper off.

Actually, no I don't. It seems the lock is a bit jammed. It was "open" in a "closed" position (if that makes sense), and I couldn't get it to relock.
Thanks heaps, DesHut!

Find No. 2289. Found with FUF009 at 12.33pm
Well what can we say when FUF009 said it all.
We done a day trip to Geelong, some three hours away, and FUF009 came with us.
Our aim for the day was to do the D2B series plus three other caches close by, then the Shepherd's Road series and Do You Believe In ... Series, to get a total of 75 caches for the day to help us get the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs.
Finishing these three trails earlier than expected we then went on the AB4C series, seeing how we had both worked on these puzzles together. We grabbed a few others along the way and at the end of our caching day in the Geelong area, we had clocked up 100 finds. WOW - This is a first for us and a day that we won't forget.
* We got our first cache at 8.59am and our last cache at 4.55pm.
* We had rain at the start that made the roads muddy and changed the colour of our car from red to brown.
* We stopped twice for eats and cuppas - Lunch at D2B 43 at St.Leonards, on the waters edge then again near AB4C #13 at the dead end road.
* An enjoyable caching day was had by all of us despite the weather, plus the day was made less time consuming with well maintained caches therefore no time was wasted on DNF's.

Find # 6811
Found with Tyred n Cranky
A day of caching to help out with accumulating enough smileys to try and get closer to the 100 needed for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs.
We started off on the D2B trail where Tyred n Cranky’s Magna changed from a nice red colour to a lovely shade of brown, the true colour for a geocacher's vehicle.
Thankfully the rain had blown away by the time we got down to St Leonards, just leaving the cold wind behind.
After a lunch stop down near D2B #43 we then headed off for the "Shepherd's Road Treasure" series and then to the "Do You Believe In ..." series.
again both the roads added to the colour of Tyred n Cranky’s Magna.
After completing these we realised we had plenty of time left in the day for more and then added to the plans and headed off over to the AB4C puzzle series near Waurn Ponds.
On the way around, for the day, there were a few of extra caches thrown in to the mix, as they were “close by” or on the way.
With a few caches, that took some minutes to locate or get into, But with persistence and patients we managed to make a find on all in the day.
All in all we ended up with a finds totalling just over 100. This is the first time that Tyred n Cranky have made the big 100 in 24 hours. A great fun and memorable day indeed.
