JJ52 and Allister W were target some certain cache types for the hard sounvier online bage. After Finishing the fishing line geoart we cached along the coast to Edithburgh and still only got to Edithburgh for dinner. Saturday was a cooler day for power trailing and only 1 snake was sighted, sunday started off cold but soon turned in to nice caching weather. We stopped for lunch in Stansbury on the way home.

Another day out exploring - left Yorketown for the local market in Edithburgh and picked up a few caches along the way - TFTC
We've really been enjoying these "Touch of the Past" caches. The buildings have been interesting and really make you wonder about their past lives, inhabitants and stories. Its quite sad that so many are in such disrepair.
Thanks for another great cache earthlight and The X-Trailers.

Thanks earth light and the xtrailers for this cache. Lovely old building here. Quick find, cache in good order. Heading south to check out the wind farm.
My partner and I took the opportunity for a long weekend away relaxing and touring the lower end of Yorkes. The trip was weighted more on the relaxing than the geocaching, but I managed to pick up the odd one here and there as we toured around.

We have spent the day driving the back roads of the lower Y.P. We have been taken to old ruins of churches schools and farms. Also a wind farm and painted water towers. Thanks to those who placed these caches. In some caches we have left something.
Our 3rd days break in Edithburgh away from the rat race. Such a shame that these little gems are just abandoned and forgotten, no record anywhere. If only walls could talk there would be many stories that they could tell. Sad really. Thank you for the placement of the Touch Of The Past #15 cache earthlight and The X-Trailers find number 8588 on 3 November 2021 at 2:00 pm
as we have a look around the area this was one of the caches we found

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.
On my return back to Edithburgh, I stopped off at this spot, and I managed to find the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Note that the cache container is not a preform container, but a bison. Thanks [@earthlight](http://coord.info/PR39X1P) and The X-Trailers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out & about on the weekend with hevwalker on the York Peninsula.
It was a nice day to be out caching, especially on a road trip along the coast.
We'd found quite a few ruins by now via Edithburgh.
The fact that there are so many ruins down here is mind boggling.
Thanks for the cache & the series earthlight and The X-Trailers

Headed to YP with clare007 for a caching weekend which included an evening event...
After the event this evening Clare & I went out into the darkness to collect a few extra caches...
The eerie sounds of the night, around the ruins, were a little freaky...
The cache was quickly located, logbook signed and we were on our way again...

Cache replaced as tree no longer there. Believe co ords should still be ok as only a metre or 2 different
As with previous geocacher found trees trimmed, a geocaching pencil and a tie. Am in the area for a couple of days so will try to get back and replace it.
Day 2 of our holidays, saw us caching along the coast line, cliff climbing, finding old ruins and travelling down many dirt roads. As at 4pm we are back at camp having a well earned rest before dinner and possibly more caching. TFTC
What we found at GZ was a pencil and a cable tie, also the trees had been trimmed

I have come over to Yorkes with Madham02 for a couple of nights staying in Wool Bay and today was our full day so we headed off for a drive with the sun shining and no wind or rain. [^] I had made a list of caches I wanted to find and at the end of the day had 21 finds and 2 DNF's. It was a fun day driving around on dirt roads looking at lots of old buildings and ruins.
We were able to have a good wander around this lovely old church (after finding the cache of course.)
Thanks for the cache earthlight and The X-Trailers.

On a day if arctic blustery conditions we set out to cache! Well why not? Better than sitting snuggled up in a camper all day. These ruins get you thinking about all the work and effort that went into buildings, this is such a quaint church, pity it's been let go. Tftc
Off down the Yorke for a few days with Purrfect Di, Jack, Sebastbat, muggle Alex and the geodog (cat's staff).
Found this cache along the way.
Interesting old building. Bless you for caching!

With the wind eased right off this morning the only issue might be rain today, but even then that should only be passing light showers.
So we are back out chasing caches again!
This time we are again heading south from Edithburgh but inland towards Port Moor.....
Our first for this morning. No one at church today, so a nice straightforward find to start the day.

Yorke Peninsula Day 3: A small break for power trails (after a quick 60 caches from the fishing line...). Then we collected caches around the Yorketown and Edithburgh area and in the Innes National Park. Some spectacular scenery to take in, strong winds to battle on top of cliffs, and another exhausting day. Signed as SWAG-JJ. TFTC!

These abandoned ruins - does anyone own the land, or has ownership gone back to the government?
Thanks earthlight.

Hi there earthlight.
We found your cache **"Touch Of The Past #15"** at 11:37:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16902).
We cached around JLWE area today, & thoroughly enjoyed our trek. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 18 caches (& DNF'd 0). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found it on 10/06/2017 on our visit to avoid the cold rain in the home state.
Catching up on unlogged caches that we have done. Apologies for the late entry found 11/6/2017. Liked the design for the log book extraction. The old church was interesting and we can only imagine the happy and sad times that have occurred here. Thanks for sharing this with us.

#2244 So we approach GZ and there is a car and a guy looking around the trees at GZ, ah-ha! We enquire, "you looking for a cache?". The response is a "no". Soon enough we see that he is wearing a local Council badged shirt, haha. He says "is this what you looking for?" pointing at he cache container, "ah... yes". Turns out he has stumbled across a few caches as he looks for weeds as part of his occupation. We had a good chat and he was able to tell us a bit about the local history of the area. A fantastic old church here, that surely could be preserved by the government and not left for ruin?!? A fave from us, TFTC earthlight.
Quick find thanks to the hint. A pleasure to visit these historical sites, especially when the countryside is so green and lush. Tftc
