It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Quick find at GZ, cool spot to place a cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 34 - Kojonup to William via Arthur River and Darken. After a long wet and cold night it was time to get going again. I relented and had a hot breakfast at the Kojonup bakery before starting. From there it was a bit of local caching and then the days drive. There was a fun detour to Boscabel where there was a nice hall and nothing else. Arthur River was another spot, this time on the highway where there is a lot of historical remains, but not much going on other than a road house. A bit of a surprise really. Darken was next to take in the County, but it was another very small council town. I finished the day in William but still needing several more caches, I spent the afternoon caching as well, the highlight was a nature walk just to the north. I ended the day with another great pub meal with a bit of a surprise. Tomorrow is another day near William doing trail caching for tomorrows target. After setting up at the Williams caravan park and a bit of lunch, I went out for an afternoon caching around town and to the north. No problems with this cache today. Thanks for the cache Barnzy1247207.16 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Whittlesea Event 2022 purple ear tag A#501**Albida**

Down in Narrogin for the 10th anniversary of WA Goes Big! What a relief it is being away from the city for a few nights. As expected it was a busy weekend of caching and this meant driving to all corners of the shire and beyond. Picked up plenty of cache and hopefully will be back soon to clear off the rest of the map. Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for a great weekend of events!
Day 2 of the WAGB weekend. After a massive day yesterday we were up early for preparations. Looking forward to more antics throughout the weekend. Many thanks to everyone involved in making this weekend a success. This is going to be a massive weekend and no doubt a great adventure. Many thanks Barnzy12 for placing this hide for me to find and adding to an awesome weekend at WAGB23. This will be my 6330 find.

Thanks for maintaining this super power trail.

The fifth and final day of our Easter holiday break for TaurusSix and myself. We have had a wonderful time exploring the south east regional interior areas of WA, so much to see and of course much geocaching to be done. We have revised our plans for the day, today , once again around geocaching. Given there is a FTF cache to be had in the Kulin area we are going to head back in that direction and try our luck first thing heading from the Lake Grace area. And anyway there are still lots more caches in that area for us to obtain, so we are happy to head in that direction. Then at some point we will start meandering back to Bunbury again via many roads less travelled.
This is our thirty second cache for the day and our 10th LGA ,. Parked up and took the short stroll to gz. Everybody must be heading back at the same time because Albany Hwy was like a Piccadilly Circus . It took quite a while to cross the road both there and back. Nice cache in a nice spot. TFTC

Caching our way home from an overnight caching trip to Katanning. We stopped to grab this one and searched for a good 5 minutes before we spotted the cache. So we signed your log and returned your cache back to where it lives only to find a second cache there, which made our five minutes searching even worse seeing there were two caches and we couldn’t spot either. TFTC Barnzy12.
A quick caching trip to Katanning with axell33,lovely overnight stay, then heading home today!
We arrived at the cache sight and searched…..difficult with so much traffic! Then….after I signed one, I spotted another, right next to the other….in some confusing wisdom..I signed both! Definitely all good here! Thanks for the hide Barnzy12.

This time I was on the right side of the road for a quick park and grab; interestingly found two caches, one older than the other. I signed the newer one and replaced both TFTC
After visiting Narrogin and then doing the new caches out at Harrissmith The better half and I were on the way home again. This cache didn't seem to have been there the last time we looked for it but we noticed it had been replaced so this time it was found. Log signed and cache replaced as it was found.
Thanks Barnzy12 for placing this cache for us to find.

Out in Quindanning for my first ever rogainning event. The event was 12 hours long starting at 10am and finishing 10pm on the Saturday. In total we walked 30km with around 47,000 steps over 11hrs and 22mins! Phew! On the Sunday, I decided to nab a bunch of caches on the way back to Perth, along the Albany Highway.
This was a quick find, in great condition. Cheers Barnzy12!

Had a search around today between showers but could not find anywhere. Will return later in week to see if I can find.
After packing up in the rain this morning we were leaving Bunbury and heading to Wave Rock. I had picked a few caches along the way hoping I would get a few more LGA's. [^]
I stopped here while the others were getting petrol. I looked in all the wrong places first before finding it in the very last place I looked.
Thanks for the cache Barnzy12.

Had been moved slightly maybe due to council planting but look all around artwork. Took trackable to take it on an adventure, left Coles collectibles little book
Found during our trip down to Katanning thanks for the cache on a nice piece of artwork.
I've been down enjoying Denmark for a few days but sadly today it's the long drive home... Like on the way down there is nothing for it but to break up the drive with a few caches along the way, and this one was on the hit list It was well and truly dark by the time I reached Williams so had to search by torchlight - which I will use as my excuse for this proving to be a much trickier hide than I was expecting. I got there eventually though with some patient searching (phew). All good here - TFTC
Our WA road trip begins today with an early start from Perth and making our way south to Albany. Our aim was to find at least one cache from each LGA we passed through - and we were able achieve this with just one DNA - we thought a swarm of bees around GZ wasn't worth a smilie!! Thank you to all the COs that placed and maintain caches along this highway - it certainly enhanced our trip!
Out and about caching today from Perth down to Albany. Did many caches along the way and thank you CO for placing the cache at that location. Found cache and signed log, then placed cache back where found. TFTC
We hadn’t been on a road trip for a while so the long weekend provided an opportunity to do a bit of planning and set a course for Katanning. We followed a meandering course from Perth collecting smilies along the way. This cache was one we had targeted for the trip. Cheers and TFTC.
