A bit early for Acorns but did find the cache. Cheers.Day 2 - teamed up with Taybee NZ for the day caching around Christchurch , with ICUC on my radar.Zara, Toby and I are heading to the Dunedin Mega with some extra days along the way. Caught up with TaybeeNZ on 22 Oct for a day caching around Christchurch. Then made my way down to Waimati for the night. Arrived in Dunedin Thursday afternoon. Beautiful day Friday to cache around Port Chalmers. Mega Day was cold, wet and miserable and Sunday not much better. Sophia arrived on Sunday for a few days. Teamed up with TaybeeNZ for next three days touring the Catlains Monday, Stewart Island Tuesday and Milford Wednesday, then started making my way home, arriving Friday Morning.
I'm ditching dad again and heading down south for the Mega in Dunedin. During this trip I managed to do many things and meet many people over the 2 weeks I was away. Thanks to all the cache owners and other cachers for making this trip enjoyable.Day 2 of the trip. After spending the night with mum we teamed up together for the day. First was UC IC as last time mum was there it was down. Then we spent a few hours around the botanical gardens doing adlabs and caches. After that we headed up to the cabbage trees and then a few other caches. A nice quick find. TFTCAll log sheets on this trip were signed by any of the following:Taybee NZ,TBNZ,TNZ,TB/D (When I was out with mother)
Great spot! And needed a break after that climb. There's a bus stop next to the cache. I felt like it was mocking me.
Quick and easy cache. Definetly had to read in a bit for it and I eventually got it. Came here because ooglaybooglay did! TFTC
Very hard to find, had to go back and look after reading other people's comments.
Previous finder had tucked this back very well!! Almost ready to log a dnf but decided on one last rummage! TFTC
Found it well hidden. Good tramp up through coronation reserve. Beautiful park and views!
Nicely positioned cache for a rest stop while on my way to another cache. A quick find; TFTC
Putting in some Ks on the summit road, finding caches. Yay. Very well hidden... Cheers!
A nice quick find at this lovely spot
What a fantastic view from my improvised "seat" above the hide- reach down & under, grab, sign and replace all while casually admiring the view.
(Behind the actual seat)
Container and log in good condition

Thanks so much for replacing this supernanny! Cache is in good condition, nice and dry inside even though I'm pretty sure it was actually floating in its spot with all the rain today! So much water all over the ground, but it's safe and sound. A quick park and grab was needed to keep my streak going, didn't want to spend long searching when its so wet and windy so this cache was perfect. Thanks!
One of my sons in Whangarei is going on an OE. He sold his car to his brother Tim in Dunedin and fortunately for me Tim wanted me to drive the car down. Of course I jumped at the idea of a geocaching roadie. I've had lots of puzzles solved for such a long time so geoarts were the main target of the trip.
In Palmy area I wanted the shield series and the 20/20 geoart. Then Wairarapa was stickman (which we ran out of time for), the new M geoart and some archived skindo challenges. Wellington was finishing off the kiwi geoart. Nelson I had a few challenges I wanted before heading to Christchurch. It was family time there and perhaps the smile series but time ran out again. Off to Dunedin for the airplane geoart. Then it was time to fly home to say goodbye to my son heading to Denmark.
It was great to have my friend Supernanny come along on the trip for company. We had a wonderful trip and fantastic weather apart from one afternoon. Now it's time to start writing the massive backlog of logs which is taking a while.
This was the final big driving day from Akaroa to Dunedin. We'd solved a few puzzles in this area so took some time to collect them before getting some kms under our belt. On a maintenence run here with the CO. The nearby 5 Recreational Service workers were all busy on their phones and didn't seem to notice us doing our thing. A neat tree at gz. Thanks for the cache

Looking back at this cache and realised neither of us logged a maintenance log, so cache owner may not be aware that this cache might be missing.
Got all excited to come and find this cache this sunny April weekend until I read the logs and I realised I was with mumandme when she came back to sign it, we had a good look around and she showed me where it was when she found it before but we couldn't find anything. Logging a DNF so I don't walk here without reading the logs one day and get disappointed.
I found this cache a few days ago on a long walk around the hills but I left my pen at home so couldn't write on the log sheet. I found it slightly out of the hint place so tucked it back a little better. Decided to drive up here today to actually write on the log sheet so I could claim a smilee so was very disappointed to find the cache was nowhere to be found. Had a look around the wider area in case someone had thrown it down somewhere but nothing.
Went out on miserable drizzle day to get a cache for a blank dot day. Nice and quiet no one around. Cache all good and safe. Views still great from up here and what a gorgeous tree. Thanks for the cache supernanny.
Great to find this one right near Grannies house so a great pre-dinner activity.
All good ...
Have replaced missing cache...
Tube is tucked under the corner..
Stone in front to stop it rolling down hill.
Cheers.

Went on a walk with friends at sunset. Nice park, beautiful tree and great cache. TFTC!
An easy find - but coordinates could be a bit off.
Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2546)

A nice longish walk on a sunny Friday afternoon. I was surprised there was absolutely no one on such a beautiful day! TFTC!!
A nice quick GZ greeted me today and the cache was a quick find. Thanks for the cache

This was a quick find but managed to get muddy hands. Great views here. Nice and quiet on a damp morning.
This was to be our last cache of the day, and we didn't find it. After a nice hike in Port Hill, we cam back to our bus stop and had to wait 50 minutes. So we went in this playground and looked for the cache. We couldn't find it, there were lots of leaves, and we tried to dig around plants, but had no success. We were a bit tired, and spend the rest of the time resting on a bench. So it will be a not found for now. We enjoyed our wait at the playground, and our son had lots of fun sliding and turning here. Maybe another time...
A quick find.
I am thankful for this - most of those I have found today have been quite tough!
TFTC supernanny.
Second day in Christchurch on an extended holiday. Caught up with both sisters and my niece in the morning, including some retail therapy, but with everyone else working I get a few hours to trundle around Christchurch in a random manner picking up caches.
Thanks to all the COs.

Our dog had a good time in the little park. And we tried out the slide!

Found on a dog walk.
There was a bus at the bust stop with the cache I wanted to get first so we just walked on and came to this one.
Oak trees I like! No one at the playground, so we played around ourselves a bit.
Turned out that I had forgotten the pen back in the van, so I humbly ask to accept this photolog

A quick park up right by GZ and a quick success! Excellent, a great view from up here too, not a bad spot for a house I reckon. Thanks
I was quite surprised to see water pouring out of a nearby fixture creating quite a bog. No problems with the cache or find though. TFTC # 11,748
StreetWalker and I are attempting to turn some solved [?] into today, and after success with four puzzles, we decided to look for a few trads as well.
This was the last find of our excursion (we both started and ended the day with a DNF ). Despite me looking in the right area first, I was looking in the wrong level, and SW made the find. Great wee reserve, lots of colourful flowers, and of course the magnificent oak. The plaque by the tree mentioned the date 1950, so presumably it was planted then. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

In Christchurch for the weekend with my partner and while she is doing a 2 day course I came up with her as it isvthe perfect time to log lots of caches and try to log 2000 before next year. TFTC
Came up here at night to replace with some waterproof paper ; plus add a couple of tiny toys .
Lovely view of lights .....but we weren't expecting traffic lights on the way up here !!!!

An all out family affair today moving my sister's home contents. At the end of the day, like yesterday, I needed to find a cache as I'm trying to get to 300 consecutive days. Too much pressure! Dnf'ed a puzzle I'd solved late last night and hoped to find today so was very grateful this was easy to find in the dark. The bonus being the lovely view of the lights of the city. Thanks for placing a cache here.
