Having failed to find this one in August 2017 I first checked it should be present and then had another crack at it today. As last time the GPS was guiding me to both sides of the building, and I carefully checked out the wrong side before spotting what looked like a cache tucked away as soon as I went the other side. Sure enough it was the cache: at last. Emptied some water out of the container, but the log in its bag was pretty dry, just slightly damp, so no problem to sign the log. I needed a find today for day 3 of the '321 Go' souvenir campaign and, as it happened, it was also a dot day for me, so that's eliminated another one of them.
Thanks for the cache brookenightingale

A nice little park with many people coming and going, but luckily not where I was looking for the cache.
Many thanks for the hide.
Many thanks for the hide.
I had to get some printing done at nearby Warehouse Stationary but had some time to kill before it was ready. So I decided to see if I could grab this cache while I waited. When I arrived at GZ, I saw a lot of cars parked at the hall and the lights were on inside. However thanks to your hint I was able to make a sneaky find and I don't think anyone knew I was there. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.
This is geo streak day #1065 in a row for me today. TFTC

# 265 Haha Mum tried to do the GSAK thing and stuffed it up! This is my actual bulk uploaded log! I would have found this one with my mum Gr33nslime! Im sure I had fun, i especially like finding toys. I hope to have more finds than weeks alive! Thanks to my mums obsession for geocaching... Cheers for the cache.
# 1606 I have had numerous attempts to find this one but there has always been someone in attendance at this building. However, very early on a Saturday, there was no one about! I was able to drive straight up to the cache and virtually stick my hand out and pick it up. I could see the cache from where i was parked so I made sure I covered the hole with the large rock that was nearby (and probably not returned properly). The log was soaking, so i removed and replaced with a new scrap and bag. The log was full of people that had visited from the mega, so that was cool to see, and as i looked over, i could see the venue so it might have been the closest trad to the mega venue in fact, and a short walk (around) to find. Cheers brooken nightingale for this one.
Needed a cache today to deal to a dot day. After attending a meeting in Upper Hutt I decided to look for this one. Found it quickly. Yes, the paperwork is still very wet. Managed to sign but it could do with drying out! #2527. TFTC.
A nice cache but the log will need replaceing as it is soaked and i couldn't write on it . I have attached a picture as proof that i found it. TFTC

Another find today. Excellent location with no muggles about at 1335. Had some difficulty with this. Many thanks for the cache.
Walking around Upper Hutt today, was looking on the wrong side. Just before were going to give up we saw the hiding spot! TFTC
Find #2896. A 44km round trip from Silverstream bridge to Birchville, on the bike, collecting random caches as they appeared on the gps.
Started looking on the wrong side of the building before the gps pointed the correct way. SL TFTC

Staying with family for Christmas and headed out for an evening walk with dogs..after 2 dnf's it was nice to grab this easy find. Tftc
Down for the Wellington Mega with KirsTim & yorkshirekiwi83 and vistra for the weekend, picking up caches in the area along the way. Lots of fun had and some cool sights to see. Many thanks to all the cache owners for the great maintenance and their caches!
I flew down to Wellington just for the day today to attend the WENZ Mega Event and I joined up with Yorkshirekiwi83, Vamber and KirsTim for a day's caching, which was focussed primarily on caches in the Hutt Valley area - signing all logs as KKKTTS. This was found while driving around the area. TFTC!
Spent the long weekend down in Wellington and the surrounding region with Vamber, KirsTim and vistra, we were there for the Mega event and we picked up some caches along the way. Thanks to all caches owners. TFTC
Could hardly avoid doing this one.
Another Mega and the inevitable list of cache finds to log. Not really a chore, just time consuming for this old geriatric. My apologies for the repetitive logs but I will attempt to add a few additional comments as I go. Had a great two days. Catching up with other cachers is always great. Day one was mainly a solved puzzle collection with little blue hen and Kiwicouple. We also squeezed in a few adjacent traditionals and a couple of multis while participating in the CITO event in Trentham Memorial Park. Quiz night was a fun event after a very tasty roast dinner and we were happy to finish only 4 points behind the eventual winners. Day two little blue hen and I gathered a few more traditionals that we hadn't done close to the Mega centre. A few coffees, a favourite point or two, some frustrating searching at one or two and then off home for a rest. Thanks to all the COs for making it another fun weekend. Now to prepare for the Melbourne Mega in November. TFTCSL

On our way to the Mega prize giving, we stopped off for one more for the day with Vamber, yorkshirekiwi83 & Vistra. When we arrived there were a couple of people sat right on GZ, but while we discussed whether we should wait or go, they left. So no problems here, and off to get our prize for 1st place in the quiz. Thanks
Earlier today at the pilgrimage event we were fed by scouts at their sausage sizzle. Now did a cache at a scout den. No scouts here though.TFTC
We found Savage Park Scouts (Wellington) on our Wedding Anniversary getaway to the WENZ Mega.

Holidays in New Zealand .... after visiting WENZ MEGA EVENT 2018, this logbook was signed. TFTC and greetings from Germany.
Found with Gilgul on a Mega weekend with the help of another cacher that was passing TFTC
Found while either going to the Mega or attending the Mega or coming home from the Mega.
We left home mid day on Wednesday heading for the Mega and arrived at the Cossie club car park late Friday afternoon where we stayed all weekend with kind permission from the club. It was a great weekend meeting others and going out geocaching including a trek up into the hills above Nae Nae. I really enjoyed that trek as the caches were placed usually within 200 m from each other. It was great to get to the top of the ridge and return most of the way down via another track. Unfortunatly we didn't have time to stay and ride the river trails but we will be back
Many thanks to all the C.O.s who place caches around the country for us to find and enjoy this hobby/sport. with out people like You Caching wouldn't exist

A quick and easy find, very close to the Event centre. Thanks
Found on a day spent driving up and down the Hutt Valley, finding a cache or two.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

This was our very last geocache for the day of the mega where we got 11 different kinds of geocache on the one day, we had a great time driving around the area and it was nice to finish off with a gentle walk for the team together down to GZ to look for the cache, we did lots of different kinds of caches and didn't have a single DNF even though our team name was Team DNF (Team Drive'n'Find).
For this one we initially started on the wrong side but it was much easier when we switched to the other side - I generally find looking where the cache is to be more successful than looking where the cache isn't so this is probably not a big surprise.
Thanks for the cache, all is good here - I bet you've had lots of visitors!

WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... After experiencing broken sleep at our accommodation, it was time to pull it together and get out there... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy...
Saturday: It was fairly quiet around the scout hall. Our iPhone gps was pointing to a specific spot, but no amount of searching produced a result. We expanded our search zone, and the obvious markers gave it away. TFTC.

There was a bit of confusion amongst Team DnF to this one. We initially were looking in an incorrect spot. But then a better spot that fit the clue was discovered and soon after the cache. Thanks!
This was the seventh day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega: The big day of the Mega. Even though there were several Geocaching things to do, I decided to try for eleven types in one day.
I was a bit early for the Mega, so what should I do with my spare time? This was a nearby cache that did nicely. After I found the cache, a long stream of cachers started to arrive who had the same idea. TFTC.

Second day of my visit to Wellington to attend the Mega weekend. After grabbing a few on the way to the event, I met up with some friends and we headed off to get the lab caches and help K.J.R get 7 types in a day. There was a couple of other bonus caches we got on the way. Thank you to all of the CO's who put the caches out in the area.
Not many savage scouts around today. Found with bkj97 on our second day of caching while attending the Mega. Thanks to all who had caches for us to find while exploring the adjacent area. T4TCSL
Day 1 of Wellington Mega
Today's mission was to register, collect lab caches, other events and hopefully 11 different cache types in 1 day.
Tall order but we made it with a few minutes to spare.
We also collected other caches that we had solved prior to coming.
Turned into a bit of a day so sorry for the copy and paste of logs.
Thanks to the cache owners for the placement of these caches.
Looking at the greater picture of the Wellington area we have only scratched the surface so will be back at some stage. SLTFTC

Day 2 -Wgtn Mega - Upper Hutt
Its just before 9am on Saturday and lots of us are milling around the Cossy Club waithing for it to open for Mega registrations. OK we have time to snoop around the block for a cache. This Scout hall is in the vacinity. There is someone in the Hall so with so many of us visiting questions were asked. Alls good but please shut the gate. Quick snag and tag. Cheers
The Seagnoid, Zara and I are on another epic caching adventure for the next two weeks, starting with the Wellington Mega, then East Cape, Taraunga, Waihi, Rotorua and back to Wellington. Its been an awesome journey, over 2500 klms later, visiting many amazing places. Thanks to all COs

At the Mega event a wee bit early so took the dog for extra walk and made a find. Thanks for the hide brookenightingale. After using spare rooms where possible as a Guide leader this spot is making me jealous.
Find number 4237. Attending the Mega. Teamed up with eyespyben and ABCDF4 today to try and get 11 cache types in a day. This was an extra. Had time before the event so filled in time caching. A car parked at the hall but all quiet at GZ. Thank you for the placement
Out discovering The Hutt during the WENZ event. Cache and contents in great shape. Thanks for the hide!
An easy find thanks to the good hint and the line of cachers coming in the opposite direction. Thanks for the cache.
#740. Heading back to MEGA HQ, so had to knock this one off. Pretty easy stone to find. Got a pathtag from fellow finders from Stratford. Tftc brookenightingale.
Had a bit of time to kill before heading to the nearby mega. As I came up to the location, managed to catch another cacher with Lif in hand. Nice to meet you garbill! What a great hide. So cool. TNLN. SL. TFTC!
Another cache where you just walked to the group of people hanging around various objects. TFTC.
a nice walk around the block while waiting to get in to the mega, love the straight forward non cryptic clue
An easy find but then it would be with a stream of cachers walking around district!
Out on a MEGA day pass attempting to find enough caches to make the MEGA Event my 12k find.
I met the father and daughter at this cache whom I’d seen earlier at mother and child.
He was astounded to see that 8 people had found it before us (09:30). I then realised that he knew nothing about the MEGA. [:0]
I suggested that he and his daughter call in to the Cossi Club to discover what all the fuss is about. I hope they did.
An easy find and sign once we got onto the right side of the building.
Find #14, so far. Now off to the W2W Event. My first of five today.

Savage Scouts? glad we didn't come across any of them. A neighbour asked if we had found it and then how many would be finding it - I don't think he quite believed us when I answered - maybe 100's. TFTC # 13,115
Finally it's here, the wonderful WENZ Mega weekend! My son and I have been eagerly awaiting this weekend for over a year now. My apologies for the generic log, but with so many caches to log it's the only way to get through them all.
So today was the BIG day. The day of the Mega itself. The day my son and I would attempt to find 11 cache types in 1 day, plus experience our first Lab Caches, and our first Wherigo. And the day I hoped to find my 1000th cache!
So I found myself standing outside the Cossie club at 8.45am, and the doors were firmly shut! So out with the trusty smartphone to see what was available nearby, and this one was the nearest. So a whole bunch of us had the idea to go and grab it. At GZ it turns out we weren't the only ones with that idea as the cache was already being passed around for people to sign. My lad and I added our names and then headed back to the Mega Event HQ to grab our registration packs and meet our friends.
Thank you for placing this cache, and helping me get this Mega day off to a good start.

how come we missed this one and could not find!
What an elongated weekend with firstly an over night at waikanae and gatherin g in a few caches around there, and then onto the Hutt valley, travelling through to the Wellington Airport to pick up geo son and head to Karori where we stayed for the weekend and I stayed on for a further day or two before heading back up north again. At least the SH 1 was open going home and I I didn’t have to travel over Paekakariki hill which I did on Friday.
I managed several caches around Hayward/ manor park area, Avalon, Lower hutt and then around the coast to Breakers bay etc etc before going to rongotai and then south to Moa point etc. before heading to the Airport.
Saturday we picked up a couple of challenge caches and others on the way up to the Event, getting there in time to register and head to the CITO event. Then a few more challenge caches and trads before heading to the Flash mob. Back to the venue where we had tea and got ready for the quiz night. Which unfortunately went on a little long.
Sun day saw us pick up a long over due mystery cache on tinakori road before heading to Petone and then up to Upper Hutt where we completed the Lab caches some puzzle caches and thee wherigo before heading back yo Karori to have tea with grand chn and family etc.
Monday we went to Zealandia where we completed two more caches before taking geo son back to the airport. I then drove home the next day after the bulk of the traffic had gone.
It was a great weekend and a great Mega event . thanks to the organisers and ALSO thanks to the REVIEWER who alerted CO about the status of the their caches etc so most caches were actually there and not missing. This was a truly amazing effort on the REVIEWERs part. Thank you.

Seems pretty common to start off on the wrong side! Once correcting our search area, cache was soon in hand. Signed as Team DNF as part of our crazy tiki tour around the Hutt valleys and Wellington area on Day 1 of the WENZ MEGA 2018. Tftc
A quick park and grab while out and about on day 3 of the Wellington Mega. Having finished our lab caches and 11 types time for sleep but wait just a couple more on the way home. Found with KJR. TFTC ?
And so we found ourselves in this wee park...after an epic day of W2W, 37 caches including 11 types in one day, lots of 'firsts' including 10 lab caches and a smidgen of time left before kick off of the quiz...and our last cache for the day. Ironically we'd been signing logs as Team DNF (Drive N Find) all over the Hutt Valley and Wellington, yet had found every single for the day (probably another first for me!). Out and about for an epic WENZ MEGA with tuolei, michaelteacher, hayleyfcy and Viv_L TFTC
