We started our beautiful journey through the South Island in Christchurch. Here we went on a big sightseeing tour and visited lots of caches. We then travelled via Lake Tapeko, Dansey Pass and Moeraki to Dunedin for the MEGA event. In Dunedin we visited the MEGA events and together with many other cachers we found many caches around Dunedin. A few days later, we travelled on through the Catlins to the southernmost part of Bluff. We then visited Te Anau and the tourist town of Queenstown. In Wanaka we went on another sightseeing tour until we reached the west coast via the Haast Pass. We hiked to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. We continued along the west coast up to Westport, stopping at various sights along the way. Richmond and Nelson, the sunniest cities, were also on our list.A few days later we reached the east coast again in the wine region of Picton and Blenheim. After a few days, we travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura. We visited many geological sites, completed many adventure cahes and found many caches along the way.We travelled almost 3500 km and had so many great experiences. Many thanks to all the ownersTeam sissifalke
Stunning warm day - first glacier seen in my life - with keydey on trip fromSouthAfrica - go Springboks go -
hello, thank you, beautiful cache, we're running back to the heat, it's not the warmest here anymore, we're taking TB
The Hooker Valley is exceptional with magnificent views of Mount Cook and the surrounding mountains. In TB. We put our Travel Bug Neige ternelle for the first time . This TB aims to travel around the world from New Zealand to return at the end of its trip to France near Grenoble in the French Alps. Thank you drawp for the cache.
#23590. We left this one for the way back from walking to the Tasman Glacier lookout. Most of the A2O caches we've found have been closer to the coast; good to find one near the start of the track. Nice quick find. TFTC.
We have found quite a few caches on the A2O, but this is the farthest inland one we have found. Didn't spot any one cycling the trail around here. StreetWalkerNZ made a quick find here while I was taking photos of the wonderful scenery. TFTC.
Day 15 of our roadtrip around the south island with Blue Jay. Today we drove to Mount Cook and caches along the way (mainly on the way back). Lovely scenery again and beautiful weather. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining.TFTC. Toffee Man.
Beautiful place. Cache hound quickly on a fab day. We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
On our long journey from Germany to Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand / Dubai of a total of 3.5 months, we also crossed NZ from north to south and collected a few caches. This one was found quickly. TFTC
A lovely sunny morning, just right for a quick cache grab as we passed by. Thanks for placing.
Quick find whilst The Cyclist does 7km of A2O! Thanks. Stunning location. Hope to be back for the full trail some day.
Oops went to far, reverse and u-turn. Quick find once near GZ. Looks like a good trail to do. TFTC
After revisiting Tasman Lake with friends we stopped for this cache as we headed back to Tekapo. Lovely day out with the weather kind to us. Not cycling though.Thanks.

Certainly a highlight destination of our Holiday. Spent two days in the area which opened a perfect opportunity to grab some Caches, which were in immaculate condition considering the weather they must endure and the volume of people finding them. Would highly recommend visiting. tftc

After staying the night at the Heritage hotel, we rode our bikes to the White Horse Hill campground to the start of the A20 cycle ride down to Oamaru.
Once we were on the right side, we soon had this cache in hand, and then we were back on our bikes on a cold(2 degrees) and misty morning to continue our ride.

Bike ride to Tasman valley from the camp site in bright sunshine and blue skies. There are worse ways to spend a saturday morning. Greetings from Finland and thanks for the cache
First cache for me on the A20 trail. Really enjoyed the ride down to here. The scenery was amazing. Lucky we had perfect conditions for biking and seeing the beauty around us.

We finally managed to get away for a week’s holiday after months of lock downs and cancellations to various trips and flights. After landing in Christchurch we headed to Mount Cook to spend a few days exploring the area, doing a few walks and enjoying the dark sky star gazing, as well as exploring lakes and small towns of the Mackenzie country. We also found lots of geocaches which we enjoyed finding. Thank you to all the CO’s for taking the time to place and maintain these caches.
Day 2 of our trip. After doing the hooker lake walk, we decided to go to the Tasman glacier and pick up a few caches. A quick stop on the side of the road and a quick find. TFTC!

A fairly quick find here, on the way out to Tasman Glacier while camping in Mount Cook for a couple of nights. TFTC!
A little bit of hunting but pretty quick find. TFTC good condition, nice and dry.
Wellk we have cached all the local caches around Mt Cook and with the Hooker Valley closed we ventured out to The Tasman Valley. Weather great on this side of the divide. Wierd. Looking back Mt Cook Village still shrouded in white. Quick stop here to snag this one on the A2O trek. Cheers. Ive cycled some of this from Elephant Rock to Oamaru. Now I get to see the start but not cycling.
Day 2 - Tuesday 21 December - Tekapo to Mt Cook and back down the end of Lake Pukaki.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are of on another Geo adventure this time to Mt Cook for 5 days. Met up with Bullertrout and Bro on the way down. Lake Pukaki was fine but Mt Cook was wet and wild with the Hooker Valley being closed due to high winds, so did not stay long. We went exploring Tekapo, Timaru and a round trip to Lake Coleridge. Short trip and very tiring but awesome.

After half a day at Mt Cook Taybeedragon and I had done everything we could and so bugged out to check out the Tasman Valley. Nice easy find here. Hey - what nong put the A2O on this side of the river, only to have to cross to the other side to continue down the lake? Crazy.
Collected this one while passing time waiting for our Helicoptor ride. Took a picture from the air of the cache location. Can you see the cache location.
A nice quick find here on our way home from the Tasman Valley walking tracks. TFTC.
Found in the pouring rain. Came up here for a day trip. Next time up here will stay a couple of nights
I grabbed this on the way back from our walk to the Glacier view. My son and I quickly found the cache then we went for a walk over the neat bridge. My daughter stayed in the car with the heater on to warm herself up.
These rivers would be amazing in the spring. I've enjoyed learning about glaciers and the water colours through the earthcaches in the South Island. I did like the drive from Wanaka to get here but I'm not sure I'd like 5-6 days on a bike. I have solved some A20 puzzles near Oamaru but we didn't get there this trip to collect them. Hopefully one day I will. Thanks for your cache

Found while on honeymoon with Loz47Approaching this guy I thought he might be a bit of a challenge... While it wasn't quite the 'park and grab' type it didn't quite take as long as I thought it might! Nice little hide thanks

No rain today so decided to grab this one, finally. Just stunning day today, windy but stunning.
My first time at the mount cook np last Friday. After walking the hooker valley track it started to rain. Found that one quickly what helped with not getting soaking wet
Thanks for hiding

A quick drive by here. The next time past here will be with the bikes TFTC!!!
Greetings from Scotland. We had been at Mount Cook for the day and, after a diversion up to Lake Tasman, were now heading back to our apartment in Lake Tekapo. We had passed this one earlier as we were unable to stop due to other traffic. We pulled over on our way back. At first we couldn't spot the hint as we were too far forward of it but as soon as we got out of the car we knew where we were going. We headed over for a look. It took much longer than it should have and we were starting to get despondent when MrF announced he had spotted it.
