Dnf this one unfortunately and we hunted for about 20mins found the location in the photos but Im thinking its gone missing , we also were met with people in their Polaris who were watching us from the sand.
Currently we are on a Northland road trip and picking up a few geocaches here and there - bit of an understatement! We are staying on the Karikari Peninsula for a few days and went exploring this afternoon. A great spot here, TFTC
On a welcome summer break in Northland, a first time for us. Of course, geocaching is a wonderful way to visit historic sites and places of beauty and interest. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTCFind count: 2572
Found it, but no pen left with it so couldn't sign the paper. Last entry was 24/12/23.
Replaced cache as it was missing as stated. Hopefully the new one remains as long as the old one did, or preferably longer.
So pleased to have a good look at this beach as we have had friends rave about it. There was a couple gathering seaweed but paying us no attention, so we carried on looking as if it was the most natural thing to do at the beach. Took a while for the GPS to settle, so we weren't sure at first that we were in the right place, but it turned out we were. Cache is all good. TFTC
Yep this one is in residence... I approached the cache along the foreshore as the tide was out ..what unique areathe container was located in nice little niche...signed and replaced as found thanks thedbees for bringing me to this great spot
We have finally made it back up this way to stay a night or two after a break of a few years. We got on our bikes and cycled along to this cache. What a beautiful beach. Cache is all good here . Thanks for bringing us here, thedbees
Out on a tiki tour around Northland. This was one of many. Found after a nice walk along the beach from the campsite. Thanks for hiding thedbees
Second find of our short orientation walk once getting into Whatuwhiwhi. Quick find here, because it was exposed. It isn’t now, it has natural camo over it but still should be obvious for those looking for it. TFTC thedbees.
Day 11 of our Northland trip, and today was Paihia to Whatuwhiwhi.
A couple of stops in Kerikeri on the way up for supplies and other shopping, and also to check out the Rainbow Falls, which we missed on the first time through the town.
Then it was north to Mangonui, the main stop on our trip for the day.
We spent some time here, and enjoyed it. Knocked off the Adventure Lab, picked off another few choice caches also, as well as the bonus.
We had lunch of fish and chips over the water at the fish shop (guess you have to tick that one off), and had some successful shopping for RG72.
Then it was off to the Karikari peninsular for our accomodation for the next couple of nights. The place looks great!
Thanks all COs for hiding and maintaining.

Continuing on my GeoTour kind of road trip - I spent last night at a camp ground near here & it would have been rude to move on without finding a local cache.,
I have been up this way a couple of times previously & I love this peninsula & the beaches.
Thanks for this cache, thedbees.

TfTC another on our stay here had to wait till a few cars drive off. Great spot hello from chch
One of several caches we located between Tokerau Beach and Pukenui (heading to “the top”) today. Found this one reasonably quickly on a bike ride from the nearby NZMCA park. Nice to ride on the beach. #4654. TFTC.
While we are in Covid Alert level 4 I am disabling this as geocaching is verboeten.
Found today while staying at the NZMCA park during our tour of NZ in our bus.
Heading north with DaffyNZ to collect a few solved puzzles and other caches.
A little bit stormy on Tokerau today, so we didn't venture far on to the beach with the vehicle. Luckily the cache was nearby and a nice quick find. TFTC

Out with 0B80B8 today collecting a few caches around the far North. What a beautiful part of Northland. Miles and miles of golden beach. Thanks for bring us here.
On a casual stroll, continued wandering from " Poles Apart" and ended up here & sheltered from the drizzle & wind a bit..." Oh look, another cache" Thanks!
Easy find. Saw a few starfish but they were to smelly to keep
On our Northland Adventure with Tonisch13 TFTC

We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall earlier in the week so I was now pretty much out of action with a very sore and swelling ankle, so I am only going to help find the nearby caches and gk is going to find any of the caches that require more of a walk. After spending time at the Te Kuiti medical / hospital centre my sprain has turned into a fracture and I am in a moon boot and told to keep weight off my leg.
GK wandered along and made a nice quick find here, he signed the log and returned it as he found it. We came back later in the day and the beach was full of people.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley, great views around here

I have added a parking waypoint as both previous finders have mentioned how difficult it is to turn on the nearest road. This road is the vehicle access for driving on the beach.
Took a couple of circles around to find this but then spotted it. Tried to cover it up as was exposed, although blended in well! I panicked abit getting out of here as the sign at the top is literal! Turning is tricky without driving on the beach or someone’s probably. So beware. Otherwise a cool spot to visit. TFTC <3
I thought about grabbing this one from the harekeke hide but saw the road went right down to gz. Well I realised that wasn't quite true when I drove round. I was 356m from gz and saw a lovely yellow sign so I parked up. I'd done about 6 kms walking today but I made a quick dash down the hill. I wasn't so quick coming back up again but luckily the cache was a fast find too. TFTC, the cuppa and a nice catch up
With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today was day 2 and the Karikari Peninsula was eyed up as the target area.
It seems I completely missed this on the walk around the tree. UncleSam managed to spot it though so we were all good.
Thanks for the cache.

Great day out with friends from Auckland for the long weekend. Day 2 of our trip. Sorry for logs been generic. All logs signed as SEAC.
Day two of our team SEAC labour weekend raid of the north trip! Today we decided to explore the Karikari peninsula and with the puzzle solutions for the fish geoart already prepped, lots of sunscreen applied, lunch and drinks packed we headed out to explore.
WE found lots of wonderful beaches, took lots of photos and of course enjoyed all of the caches in the area.
We drove down to the beach and parked up but soon realised we were parked in someones drive way, after sorting that out, we found the cache nearby. Lots of people enjoying the sun and beach here. TFTC!

Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. We spent the day catching around the Karikari Peninsula. We accidentally parked in the driveway of the closest house to the GZ. He very politely asked us to move which we did straight away. Very different from an earlier encounter with a local. The GPS's were jumping around here but the hint was good. The container took a little while to spot. TFTC.
Day two of our visit the the Far North ...... a group of cachers from Auckland, signing in as Team 'SEAC' to save logbook space......
Caching reasonably local today as we were based in Cable Bay.....headed up the peninsula in search of new territory and caches none of us had ventured to before....
Thanks to the CO's for bringing us to these stunning locations we would probably not visit.

Went and checked the cache today. Still safely tucked in its hidey hole safe and sound waiting to be found.
