Some numpty has decided they know better than me where my cache should be and it is not currently in place. No logs will be accepted until it has been replaced.
After some looking and not a little acrobatics!! With Freddy_Monkey and Uncle Alex and Tante Elena. Replaced slightly lower for the less athletic but still needs some scaling. Family will keep check on it in passing. TFTC
Return visit accompanied by apprentice in trng and a suitable device to aid the ascent into the structure at GZ.
Oh! can see it from the ground. Put it down to low clouds on the last visit blocking visibility.
Apprentice tossed the coin and announced I had lost the toss.
A big thank you to the last finder for tightening the container. You must be very strong.
Formalities completed before thankfully returning to earth. This is my last "Acting the Fool" for the day hurrah... **TFTC**

Out for a caching day and enjoying the brisk sunny weather as well. Upon approaching GZ the cache was spotted and the retriever was soon decided on. With some care it was opened and signed. Thanks vennfamily.
Geocaching around Wynnum today with Nadine1989, Patrol14 and Joojoo57. It was a sunny winter's day, but the wind chill from those winter westerlies is quite biting! All up I am logging 24 finds and one DNF - not a bad haul seeing it included 9 of the "W" mysteries and a few Multi caches as well.
The Big Kid in our group was Nadine1989 who scaled the heights with aplomb! I know, because I still have her foot imprint in my jeans where a boost up was done! Ah, the flexibilities in a youthful body (well, compared to the rest of us, anyway!). We did have some curious stares from passers by. [8)]

A plan was hatched by RoddyC to attack the Geo-Art W of Wynnum one day when everyone was available and today was that day. After an early start, RoddyC, Nadine1989, Joojoo57 and myself hit the road to see how many of these and others we can get done.
After find some Fools Gold, we wandered over to Acting the Fool and realised this was going to be interesting to get. Nadine put her hand up for this one and managed to get up near the cache and using her one-handed technique again, was able to remove the log, sign it and return it. What a champion!!!

Arrived at GZ and started to hunt.
I had not looked at the terrain so did not know.
Geopartner came over and then suddenly I spotted the cache.
No sorry I cant act the fool.
Wish I could.
Thanks for the hunt

Out together with RoddyC, Patrol14 and JooJoo57. What a lovely day! All together I was 11 hours away and found 26 caches.
What an adventure! Normally it is RoddyCs most favourite task to climb up trees but this time it was my turn. Of course I needed a knee to come up to the first fork and after that to climbed higher and higher. It is actually a really nice climb. Just open and close the cache and retrieving the logbook is not so easy with one hand but I need the other to hold me in the tree. All good with this one.

25/6/16 Out today with Marina25 to try and grab some of the W mystery series, but also grabbing other caches along the way. We came....we saw.....we couldn't reach. We made it to the first fork, but just couldn't get further today. We'll be back. TFTH vennfamily
Found it but couldn't reach it even after climbing the tree, so we will need to come back with a 6foot 6inch person or a ladder, Blair you are too tall for us shorties.
Finally acted a fool. Well not me.escott77 geohubby did all the hard work. Thanks glen. Ur a legend!! Tftc defs was hard work.
Awesome effort that saw geohubby scale the tree, with ground crew offering direction and encouragement! Seriously proud of husbands efforts. TFTC
Nice climb....and the park was empty. No one to hear me scream was one thought that entered my head.
However...I love acting the fool and I always encourage the kids to follow suit. So up we go!!!!! GOTCHA.

Have known and seen this cache for a while finally had the chance to retrieve it under the cover of dusk with the help of my step ladder tftc
I will attempt this next time I'm better equipped for tree climbing or with someone that can climb the tree for me. Can be spotted tho from the ground
What better way to spend Friday the 13th than acting the fool. On my previous drive bys of the area I had decided just where I may be looking for the cache, and today as I approached on foot my suspicions were confirmed.
I must say though from a distance this did look like it would be much easier then it turned out to be. However that being said I soon made short work of the task and sure enough had the cache in hand and the log signed without to much trouble at all.

**Continued ...**
We decided we needed to fill in some time before our return to tackle & tame this beast so we headed south to visit our daughter & granddaughter for a while.
No better way to pass the time & keep the adrenalin in check! LOL ...
Well, as the saying goes, 'Time waits for no man' & we were soon back in the Geo-beast & headed for an outcome that was solely in the hands of the caching gods.
Let them be kind!
It wasn't long before we were back near GZ, Geo-beast in position with Geo-cat Winter on guard duty as we approached our target.
We carefully reconnoitred the area & found it to be clear, no muggles or strange night creatures to be seen, so we were good to go.
It was time for us to be **ACTING THE FOOL!**
Just as the ascent was about to begin headlights breached the darkness.
Lurking in the shadows we watched with dread as Security entered the grounds & began their rounds of checking & securing.
Carparks checked, amenities checked & locked, a slow drive back to the gates (it felt like we were directly in a spotlight for ages!) before exiting his vehicle at the roadside.
Surely there will be a check of our very closely parked Geo-beast now?
Holding our breath we waited ...
& waited ...
What's he doing?
Ah, finally, swinging the gates shut, locking them, a cursory glance around then back in his car & gone!
Are you serious?
He either didn't see us, or the Beast, or else just didn't care.
Either way we were clear to continue.
I'll do it, no I will, no let me, we'll toss for it, no you still have an injured shoulder & you're too fat!
**Really!**
The short version is that I lost the toss (planned that well eh? LOL ...) & it was Geo-Mamma that was up to the task this time.
Using me as a step ladder, to get to stage 1, it was then a quick but hairy ascent.
Choosing the best & safest 'next step' was a joint deliberation but step by step the deed was done.
The cache was in hand but I wanted to be a part of this too so the log was dropped to me for signing before returning it, with a further climb, to it's lofty perch.
Woohoo, STF as well.
In & out in under 15 minutes.
Not bad for a couple of aging adventurers if we do say so ourselves!
#4000 under the belt it was now time for home & a cold celebratory Crown lager ( or several!).
All good with the cache.
**TFTC vennfamily **
A collective favourite point for the cache, the adventure & for putting our caching skills to the test!
I am definitely getting too bloody old for these trees! LOL ...

### **Smilie #4000** ###
# WOOHOO finally made it! #
Having spent the afternoon adding a few smilies on the west side it was time to head for home when we realised we were sitting at 3999 finds.
Well, that just won't do!
As we hold the opinion that ALL caches are equal we don't really plan 'Milestone' caches but rather just do them as the opportunity arises.
Well the opportunity has arisen to pick up this cache &, hopefully, convert it to our 4000th smilie.
Knowing the CO we were sure this wouldn't be Easy Peasey!
Hit the nail on the head.
We arrived at parking, close by GZ, to find muggles galore enjoying the fading light.
Hmmm, not looking good for a tree climb in daylight with muggles everywhere.
Stealth could be a major difficulty here today.
Oh well, we may as well wander over & see if we can at least spot the reason for our presence here.
Eagle eyed Geo-Pop spotted the cache almost straight away, now to hatch a plan to get some ink in that little blighter!
No point in hanging around waiting so we headed off to cross a few chores of today's TO DO list & wait for night to fall.
We work best in the dark! LOL ...
Before our departure we worked on a plan.
Where to park the Geo-beast for a quick get away, what time did the gates close, would they be locked, do muggles or muggers frequent the area after dark, would there be dangerous creatures that emerge in darkness (like possums & drop bears, maybe tree snakes or pythons, even perhaps that rarest of night creatures, the elusive 'Security Guard') were all variables that warranted consideration.
This really was starting to look like an epic adventure that was rapidly heading towards the 'Too Hard Basket!'.
Seriously!
I'm getting too old for this.
Maybe we should look for a nearby 1/1 cache.
**NOT!!!**
Besides we've already done them all LOL ...
**To be continued ...**

I was at the footy ground for the geoboy's game and decided to wander over and check on the cache. All good here. Happy caching
School holidays and three buses in the car park. Good for the groups but a problem for Geocaching.
Sat under a tree for lunch, GPS couldn't work out which tree it should be pointing to so what hope have I.
Other nearby cache much the same so a return visit likely.

*FTF* as part of the April Fools event. Was great to get up early and meet some local caches and even better when there was a cache to be had. Struggled quiet a bit with this one....my legs were just a little to short but I managed to grab it. Returning the hide was a little harder and after a fumble the replacement was left to better men .
