This was a nice easy find however I did disturb a spider whos got her nest on the back of the cache. I tried not to disturb that too much and hopefully shell go back to it. What a great spot with the wooded lake nearby and the great walkway to this cache.
A trail I walk regularly when the orchids are flowering. The view from up near the cache is good of the lake. Tftc
Found at 11:45 AM GAFF2.A nice walk along the track and great views and a surprise large house just sitting there next to the track along the way! Got to GZ and started to search and search and search. Spent ages as there had been a lot of rain yesterday and maybe some of the debris had come down the slope and covered the cache? Anyway was starting to do some forensic type searching - ie in minutia detail and finally a very well hidden and concealed cache in a nothing like out of the ordinary looking location was uncovered at an excellent 4 metres distance from GZ.Thanks to RARSI
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 21 - Esperance Day. Today turned out to be a long day, with lots of caching and lots of chores to do all over town. When it came to caching, I found myself doing several short walks, but found quite a few great headlands and interesting rock formations. The air temperature was down, but it was hot out in the sun. I ended my day with a drink in a bar overlooking the bay on the esplanade. I'm off further around to the west tomorrow, hopefully another county as well.I parked up where the trail crossed the road and walked along to this cache via an amazing dried up water hole full of dead trees. The cache was well hidden but I was able to locate it ok.Thanks for the cache RARSI46778.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Lackey AliKelSea A#511**Albida**
On our travels we found d ourselves in Esperance and took the opportunity to grab some caches, what a wonderful walk, we would never have come out here if not for your caches, it took a little minute to get our geo eyes on but soo. Had the little fella in hand, thanks for placing it
Ciao e grazie. #10813Today we had planned to go and sunbathe on the beach but thick clouds covered the sky when we woke up. We decide to come for a walk in the Woody Lake nature reserve. We park at the start of the path, backpack on our shoulders and set off to observe some birds. Once out of the reserve this Trail begins. We arrive at the GZ and thanks to the precise coordinates we immediately find the box. Hello and thanks. #10813
Found during several days at Esperance enjoying the incredibly scenic views of the area and searching for caches along the way. Thanks for the cache WendyGaye!
Neat hide.
Good that the trail was opened this afternoon after a 'prescribed' burn.

I placed this cache years ago but haven't been the owner in quite some time since I moved away. Now it's fair game to find and log myself! It actually took me a minute to find and I had a pretty good idea where it was! Always loved the view from up there. Beautiful.
In Esperance, it had been raining all day, so we spent the afternoon in the museum. It had cleared up a bit by the time we had finished, so we ventured out to find some caches. This cache was found by Muggle Husband after a short walk around the lake. There is some very interesting information about the state of the wetlands here.
Free-camping in Condigup, we headed into Esperance to stock up on supplies & of course to find a few caches whilst we were there... We enjoyed this nice walk along the boardwalk to GZ despite the heat & lack of shade DangerMouse09 made the quick find here & we made sure to give it some cover before continuing on to the end.

Quick find on the last afternoon in Esperance trying to cleanup as many as possible.
Thanks for the hide

Started our 2nd tour of WA now checking out Esperance and surrounds. 1 December 2021 3:27 pm Tyfc WendyGaye total caches now 3274
After a drizzly morning we headed out to grab the few remaining unfound caches on our list. Quick find here thanks WendyGaye
Another lovely walk to find a cache. We especially like the bridge. Cache is well hidden (not at the bridge) and you don’t have to leave the path!!
What a beautiful spot. Enjoyed the little walk. Damp satbut view so worth the little haunt. Thank you Rarsi
Thanks for the lovely walk. Was a big surprised by the big modern bridge here.
Dont go off the track. My GPSR indicated 3 meters off the track, so I went Bush bashing before being frustrated and reading all info. Should be bigger print. Shame about all the dead gums.
Lovely walk and views. I did not expect the nice modern bridge. Tftc. A favourite for the walk although we did not have time to do it all
Enjoyed the lovely morning walk whilst visiting the area. Thanks for bringing us to this location. Easy find with cache in good condition.
Found with two friends and their kids who were excited about a treasure hunt. Unfortunately all three caches we found today were too small for swag Nice walk despite geoson and the other toddlers complaining about the climb. TFTC
Another amazingly minimal cache and where I expected it. Great walk, lovely views.
Had a nice morning walk around the wetlands. Got a good photo of pelicans before heading back across the road and up to this one. My geosenses were a little off and took me longer than it should have to find the cache
Was out here the other day and did a different portion of the track. It lacked the shade and lake views i had hoped for. The walk to the cache on this overcast drizzly day wad perfect. Nice pond views and cool weather.
Thankfully found cache quickly, though it is a micro, not the small that is listed. Thanks for the cache

Hit up a couple of caches after having lunch at Yirri Grove (which I would recommend to anyone in the area). Started out at Woody Lake Reserve before hitting the frog and toad up the South Coastal to Monjingup.
This was the first of the arvo’s finds. Wasn’t sure what to expect coming out here but it was just lovely. One of those hidden gems for sure. Cache was in good condition and was a simple find.
Cheers WendyGaye for bringing me out here.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 now we are making our way west for a visit with family.
Been in town a few days but the weather hasn't been very inspiring. Finally headed out to hunt down a few caches then head on out to visit Cape Le Grand NP.

My second day in Esperance and decided to head out of town for some history caches . TFTC and all the COs for placing them .....
We arrived in Esperance yesterday afternoons we begin the long journey set to return to our home in Victoria. We managed a few caches yesterday but the rain interrupted our efforts. With more rain predicted again this afternoon we set out in the morning to see the sights and cache as we went.
What a beautiful place Esperance is! This is our third visit to the area but we have not tired of the coastal scenery. Magnificent blue seas, countless islands and amazing granite outcrops. We love it.
The short walk from our parking place to this cache took us over an elaborate bridge and past some information boards that told us what was happening here. Just a bit further on we came across a snake which beat a hasty retreat so we could proceed to GZ. once there we soon made the find.

After a pleasant walk we arrived at GZ where this cache was quickly found. Then we sat on the sleepers and enjoyed the view and the sun. Had this place all to ourselves too which was a bonus.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thank you for bringing me to this location. Beautiful! But I have just proved to myself how unfit I am and more caching is required

Beautiful walking track with great views of the lakes and interesting signage. Great hiding spot, thank you for the cache WendyGaye.
Road trip to Esperance, by passing some friends and family along the way. Have a hole week off to enjoy time away from work and all the stress. Picking up caches along the way. Tftc sl tnln.
Out for a morning run while staying at a nearby caravan park. I thought there may have been a shorter route to this one but ended up coming around the long way. Then I overshot the path that led up to this one and had to turn back to find it. Once at GZ it didn't take too long to find.

Love those caches where something looks ever so slightly not right. Subtle but to a trained caching eye not normal.
Great spot. One of the merits of caching. You visit and discover places you normally wouldn't.
A section of track the Bibbulmun Track Foundation would be jealous of - with that bridge and steps.

The sides of the paths had just been maintained with them still working as we were doing the lovely trail. Didnt want to go trampling through the bush as no geotrails obvious
