Unfortunately the weather isn't the best today, so it'll be a case of doing what we can, when we can .We managed to grab this one without getting too wet, i think the weather's finally on the improve! We started months ago trying to work out many puzzles in preparation for our South Island trip, which was based around attending the Dunedin MEGA.Now as we head back up on this side of the island, we are determined to pick up as many of these as we can in the short time we have left before heading home. These largely include the Flintstone, confused ducks, survivor and flower series. Thanks for all of the effort you have put in, in creating these trails. It is much appreciated!
Rattll and I are on a road trip in the South Island. Day 15, started near Haast, heading for Hokitika via Okarito. Not large numbers of caches along the way, so we're picking up what we can as we go. Caching around Hokitika, the wind is getting stronger and the temperature is dropping sharply.A quick find at GZ, as per the hint. All good in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
A milestone birthday for MrTG last month & the family booked a short labour weekend family getaway in Hokitika. It just happened to coincide with a monumental Spring weather event over the weekend. With Arthurs Pass shut with snow, we had to head north out of Christchurch and through the Lewis Pass to loop back around and down to Hokitika......in torrential rain. Fun driving, not much stopping!Heavy rain overnight but this morning wasn't tooooooo bad. Headed out for an adventure.Boys keen for a sit down in the late afternoon so dropped them back at the airbnb and MrsTG and I headed out for a wander around Hoki....Nice to finally tick this one off. Daytime made a lot of difference!
Mum and my sister were visiting in Hokitika today so they stopped here on the way out to check on Wilma. A new logbook was added so its now All good to go here again. Happy Caching
Wilma was really, really wet. I squeezed out as much of the water as I could, then signed the log. I think these containers need write-in-the-rain logs. TFTC.
The sun had set on Hokitika and our caching expedition...and we were weary. After being offered "cabbage" by a friendly stranger (which we declined) and hearing Whitney Houston interspersed with firecrackers we were almost ready to call it a night but with one last burst of energy, we summoned up all of our Geocaching will and stood there in the phone-torchlight looking for Wilma. My trusty caching partner caught a glint of her orange hair Our task was complete - we clinched it and now, after the hunt is over (for now) with our feet sore from 23,000 steps - the beer really does hit different (Wilma's log was a bit worse for wear - bit wet but still legible)
Right before our visit, Wilma had a shower, I guess... at least she was quite wet. Thank you for the Cache!
How happy have we been when we discovered this nice geocache series in Hokitika. The puzzles have been solved in advance while planning our vacation tour in New Zealand. And today is the day of harvesting our fruits. We found all caches on place - except Betty. After a while of searching we gave up and contacted the CO who responded very fast and friendly. It seems Betty moved between our solve and search. With the new coordinates we tried again and yes, there we could find the cache (Betty wasnt there anymore). Many thanks for this series, many thanks for the nice contact!
Easy Jigi. QEF here at GZ. Spotted it straight away. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Mr BLB spotted this one after a short search on our walk around Hokitika. Tftc
We spotted Wilma hiding in the thicket as soon as we got to gz. Another Flintstone found .
After a simple find and a DNF of caches in this series in the last twenty minutes or so, I wasn't sure what to expect here. The rain had stopped and conditions were good again so I took that as being a good sign. The hint was very helpful and I quickly had my hands on the wee treasure.
Popped into Hokitika today and grabbed several caches while hereWe solved these yesterday when we spotted we could do them on our phonesWe found most of the series but there were a couple of DNFsPleased that we spotted some parking nearby and a quick find at GZTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
This was a nice easy find on the way back to Greymouth. I had solved this one sometime ago and enjoyed the puzzle and the themed container. The log was a bit damp but still ok to sign. TFTH and a favourite point from me.
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. Good hint helped us narrow down the search zone. Soon we were adding our ink to the log. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Solved these with the intention of grabbing one on the way through, after testing the two Hoki cellsites that have just been upgraded. With that now complete, I collected this for todays mystery dotday, with no issues. TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 4 today, making this find #4398
Nicely done on the hide. Quaint little spot away from the traffic and well protected. Love when geocaching brings us places like this. Cheers

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday.

Just as we came into Hoki this morning a truck pull up here for whatever reason so this was left for the return journey home. Mum spotted Wilma on approached. Sorry Kiwi Mosse - sometimes you have to come down to our level. (LOL) Everything is all good here. Happy Caching
Oh dear, no luck here. Lots of hiding places but the caching mojo had left me. Cheers, I'll be back to this lovely area soon.

# Found with mobi12 November 10, 2022 Greetings from Vastmanland Sweden. Solved while "fika" at the cafe
On a girls roadie with Itchyfeet2020 to collect the last of the PW Geocaching Tour caches on the Westcoast, couldn't resist doing the Flintstone's series along the way. No prob finding this one. Lots of fun - TFTC
Well we have had a fantastic 4 days on the coast with the primary goal to complete the Pokai Whenua Tour. Given it always makes sense to give yourself a bit of leeway (some of which was used by road transport over the Arthurs instead of a flight) we still had enough time to do this great little series we solved just in case. Parked up here and waited for a bit behind a ute for the rain to slow. Then wandered down to see if we would be spotted and realised we wouldn't. Wilma was duly found, looked like she was having fun. I would say it's a little wider than the hint tho.
7 October 2022 5:45 pm Wilma was just hanging around bird watching. TFTC gracie7 + Mum
Checking the weather decided to take off on a wee roadie to the west coast with grandson KNCN. We had previously sorted and found all the Smurf' series on a major caching trip. This was a bit more relaxing! We both loved to reconnect with your cool cache types, thanks for all the work in creating tftc
After a bad start on the first one this one popped into place very quickly. All is good here
In Hokitika doing the South Island Ultra, grabbing a few caches before the big day tomorrow.

When Albi mentioned about his work commitments at Fox Glacier, as always we decided to make a trip out of it, but this time its a long over due overnight one. Spending quality time together, enjoying the drive, picking up some caches, small walks, and also cherry on top, a Heli ride woo-hoo.
Cache was easily found and it is call good here. TFTC.

Solved a while ago but didn't have time to do when on holiday here a year ago. But today I did.
Found Wilma. The container had water but the logbook was dry in it’s little bag. I love the containers. TFTC

Another 4 year old DNF but I think the hint has been expanded since last time I was here and yaaayyyy an instant find. Thanks .
Waited for muggl to walk through before retrieving. Log book is damp.
Doing a road trip as I have to wait for my villa to be refurbished. What better way than doing a road trip geocaching. Thanks for placing and maintaining.

Just as well I was out this morning following up my solved puzzle caches. It's wild n wet out there now. TFTC
This one took a bit of a hunt. My phone GPS was a taking me up and down here so it was hard to know where to search. I read the description again and then found her. Our last find in town before heading further north. Cool little figurines in the series. Thanks for the fun
Wilma proved to be elusive but I eventually discovered her. Spiked my leg on slow branch and then had another geocaching wound to attend to. TFTC
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*
Nice little series of caches.

The last trip into this area we searched a few times and failed so sat all this time with a gllomy face waiting for us to rectify! Today we walked around and once again got to GZ a bit later than we wished to . After some searching again we still were failing then on oe last check there she was HOW DID I MISS WILMA???? Oh wel we got her this time and signed the log to get the smiley. TFTC
We went for a walk just on dark as the cache wasn't far from where we were staying - a nemesis from our last Hokitika trip we were hoping to have better luck this time - it started to look like we would miss out then something caught the torch light and we had found Wilma log signed -thanks for the cache
Mum checked on Wilma on the way home from work today. She's just hanging around waiting for more visitors.
All good here again. Happy Caching

Searched thoroughly for this one without success! The Flintstones ladies have been giving me a hard time :p
Really enjoyed the jigsaw puzzles. No problem finding this cache. I signed the log and then I replaced the cache container as it was discovered.
Thanks for placing this cache

Found during a walk around Hokitika after check-in at the hotel. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.
*Arrived to New Zealand and Auckland from Stockholm, Sweden via Bangkok for a two week group travel. In Auckland we toured the city, sailed in the harbor and visited Waiheke Island. Continued with bus to Rotorua via Huntly and the interesting Waitomo Caves. Outside Rotorua we visited Wai-o-tapu, the impressive and active geothermal area, and the Tamaki Maori Village. Continued by air to Wellington with a visit to the museum Te Papa and the exhibition about Gallipoli as well as the cable car up to the Botanical Garden. The next day we went by ferry to the South Island in very nice weather accompanied by dolphins/purpoises. Via the Marlborough vine district we came to Nelson were we stayed two nights. The next day we went to Abel Tasman National Park, a lovely day trip by boat and foot. Then by bus to Hokitika via Murchinson, Punakaiki (the impressive pancake rocks) and Greymouth (beer tasting at the Monteith’s brewery). The day after it started to rain on the way to Franz Josef and it rained heavily on the walk to the Franz Josef Glacier of which we saw nothing. The leap day was spent by bus to Wanaka via Lake Matheson (with a nice walk around the lake and a view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman), Haast and Makarora. The next day we continued to Te Anau via Cromwell, Gibbston Winery and Kawarau Bridge (with bungy jumps but not me). The next day we went to Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. Luckily it was opened a few days earlier after heavy rains that damaged the road, so the bus traffic was restricted with convoy driving three times a day. The boat trip in the fjord was very very nice. After that we travelled via Te Anau to Queenstown, the last stop. The day after was spent sightseeing and geocaching with a last dinner at Walter Peak High Country farm with a boat trip on Lake Dunstan with TSS Earnslaw. The next morning we started the long way back to Sweden via Auckland and Bangkok. All in all a very nice group travel to a very nice country!*

Another one of this series claimed, after parking close by, as my wife and I tour NZ without Isla. TFTC
#17826. We parked on the opposite side of the road, and had to avoid traffic as we scuttled across. Quick find once at GZ. TFTC.
Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
After spending the morning at the Hokitika gorge then Lake Kaniere, we had a cuppa and a wee rest back at our accommodation before heading into Hokitika for lunch and more caching .
A van was parked near GZ, but luckily drove off not long after we stopped. Cache was a quick find, phew, as sometimes these sorts of hides can take a while. TFTC.

Thanks to 'mattnastya' for messaging us about an additional container we stopped and hunted for it to remove it. It turns out it was an unnecessary replacement from [@Nosynel](http://coord.info/PR8W6PR) 1 & 1/2 years ago and has been found 4times since - yet no one mentioned there being no Wilma on the container to match the rest of the series. We checked on our Wilma and its All good. Only our Wilma now remains. Happy Caching
We found Wilma! We also found another cache in almost the same location, following the same hint - maybe a puzzle we haven’t solved yet or an old Wilma replacement from when she was kidnapped?
We really enjoyed this quick little jigsaw series. The find was easy thanks to a great hint. Grabbed a trackable out.
A straightforward puzzle and a quick easy find of the cute little cache with the hint. TFTC
Mum stopped on the way home today to add a TB just the right size for Wilma.
The logbook although dry looked abit yucky so she left a piece of paper and will pop a new log in tomorrow.

NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to New Zealand for 3 weeks. In Auckland we rent a camper. We start on the North island and driving to the south to make the crossing to the South island. Here we make a round and then take the boat back to the North Island. A long trip, but a very beautiful one! We do and see a lot on our way............
In addition to being a tourist, we are also going to cache along the way. The virtuals and earth caches are often on tourism places. If we have a long day of traveling, we stop for some caches.
It were great weeks!
Last night we made all the flintstone puzzles so that they could be found today. Nice puzzles!

Berrydehamster and me are travelling in New Zealand for three weeks. We cross the country from north to south and back again by campervan, see a lot, do a lot, visit lots of places and meet a lot of people. It’s nice to be here and we have a great time.
As both of us are geocachers, we find a lot of caches on our travels. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for your cache, gracie7 + Mum, that helped give us a wonderful time here.

(# 5315). Today is day 2 of my West Coast trip. Weather wise the day wasn't to bad apart from an absolute deluge around lunchtime. No caching at the time as it was far to wet. Today was a trip to Hokitika then the gorge. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
When Nana and Aunty Grace came to visit today we asked them to take us caching.
We got to navigate, find and sign all the caches all by ourselves. We also got to put beadtails in. TFTC

The 2nd of our geocache day. Nice mystery cache! Thank you very much. Still up on the tree. Lot's of car.
Doing some caching on foot and by bike around Hokitika this morning - arrived at this one on the bike. The coordinates were taking me a little way away but the hint got me there pretty quickly. Signed log, TFTC.
Family (In Laws plus Sister & Brother In Law plus their kids!) holiday on the West coast (Hokitika and Westport). After a fun day at Lake Mahinapua and Ross I ducked out quickly to find a cache or two before tea....with so much family time its a bit tricky to cache! Searched high and low in the fading light...no luck for me. Plenty of rubbish but no Wilma. May have just missed it, but may also be missing. Next time!
On a west coast road trip with the kids and niece hkbrom94 (over from England ) showing her the best of what nz has to offer .
