Time out with ABCDF4 so off to Duder Park to tidy a few unfound caches, day one involved a wonder around the rocks, day 2 over the top, Thankz for bringing us to a neat area. Neat little hide. Quick find here alls good.
Had a night off so decided to go to Duder Park
Tide was right to go right around & back over the hill to the carpark
Awesome hide thanks

Out caching in Duders again, this time along the northern coast since the tide is low.
Another quick find for us here thanks to good coords. This was as far as we needed to go today, so we sat and ate our lunch near GZ before making the walk back along the beach .

Made sure to check out the spoiler pic, this narrowed down what could have been a long search, still took a few minutes tho.

The last found on our walk along the shoreline of Duders regional park. We searched and searched here with out alot of luck but as I was walking away ready to log a DNF I spotted something that turned out to be the cache. Replaced where I found but not sure if this is where the cache should be. Perhaps worth a check.
Headed into the park today to try and make it my happy place (all smilies), and didn't want to be in the park at level 3.? with many other people from outside my closed bubble...but given it was a Tuesday, there was many people today.....
Found all bar one....so not quite my happy place today....
Casual stroll 12.63km total in 5.22hrs total time including a lunch stop.
Cache is nice and dry.
Spotted some gear that looked like someone has been staying a while tucked into the rocks on my way around the coast.

Bloody good cache.
Out with a few of the gang from Team SEAC on a clean up mission...but still need to come back and find more!

With the country now in level 2 we decided to make the most of the fantastic weather by having a faimily day out. After an hour long drive we found ourselves on the Maraetai coast finally parking up next to Duders Regional Park. Scotty is currently participating in a walking challenge for May so she was keen to hit the trails and clock up some more km's. We managed to pick up a few geocahes along the the way, our 1st since lockdown came into effect.
Another great camo job. Kiwiscot had given up finding crabs and got involved here making the quick find. TFTC

Due to the covid 19 situation I will be disabling all my caches until we no longer have to self isolate. Anyone logging one after this date will have the log deleted. Stay safe.
Out for a day walk with the kids and to pick up some smilies in Duder My GPS was pointing me way up the bank which didn't seem right... I was just about to give up when I spotted something... found it! The kids loved playing in the awesome trees! TFTC!
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, now WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
After the past few we knew what to look for. This was one the fastest find for awhile. Thanks for the cache.
Found with part of teambop Tnxpro and McJandals log signed teambop. Come up from BOP to Duders for the day.
Tftc well camouflaged but quick find .

Another impromptu trip for TeamBOP,. Only 3 of us today consisting of myself, Davidsonclan and McJandals.
Have been meaning to get up here for a while now, so glad to have finally visited this wonderful park.
Now we are out of the cool wind we can shed a layer of clothes.
Cache was well camoed.
We retired it in place.
Thanks for bringing me here.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
Out with the Auckland Meet Up Group today going around the coastal part of this park. Good company, good chat.

Out at Duder Regional Park with a group from Meetups to cache the area. Great to have great company on our walk around the park. It was helpful to have 7 pairs of eyes to make our finds. Signed as Meetups to save space on the logs. No problems here. SL. TFTC.
Headed out this way to join up with The Auckland Geocachers Meetup group to cache at Duder's Reserve. Left a few hours earlier to find a number of caches that I didn't have a chance to look for on my last visit in the area.
Rocks were very slippery and covered in moss, but we safely located this cache, which blended in quite well. Signed as Meetup to save on space.

Out for a walk around Duders at low tide with the Auckland Geocaching Meetup Group. Logs signed AKMU or Meetup Group. The excellent hint soon allowed us to locate this one, albeit with care, as the hint object was rather slippery. TFTC.
Getting better at these, spotted almost right away, very cool camo though. Once logged I doubled back to near the Pukeko's nest cache and climbed back up the rough overgrown track to the fenceline. I've found the rest out this way before, so headed back inland, TFTC
Well placed hide. Secure location. Had nice break here on lovely Sunday afternoon. TFTC
Find number 3853. My mission today was collect points for the Planetary Pursuit challenge. I had 255 and needed 230 and then attend an event tonight to reach the final. I left Hamilton at 4.30 am heading to Duders Regional Park. I got the first cache at 6.30 am and by 3.00 am I had achieved the necessary. A total of 33 caches found and 9 not found. (Well not extensively looked for) The weather was great and I had a good walk around the park. Some lovely views and some great caches. Then it was a sleep in the car for a couple of hours before heading in for the night event. Some fish n chips at GZ while I watched the sunset. Then after the event it was home to Hamilton by 10.30 pm.
The tide was out so it was down to the water to collect the caches on the beaches. I soon found the hint item but took a bit longer to find the hide. Not sure why. Then it was off along to enjoy the view. Thank you for the cache.

Didn't realize this would be on the beach when I first looked at it but found a track (quite overgrown as it is not well used) and it took us right to the cache. Nice camo; in good condition TFTC.
Anniversary weekend saw us head to Omana for a few days of camping and caching with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83. Today we headed to gather a few more of the caches we hadn't managed to pick up the last time we were at Duders Park. We split up at the carpark, as we all had differing requirements, so headed off to one side of the of the coast to begin with and find the ones we required. Last cache on the shore before heading back uphill and to stop for a bite to eat. Thanks for the hide.
Anniversary weekend and we decided to copy last year and head back to Omana Regional park campsite with Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83. Vistra joined us today but as we had different caches we set off with Vamber. After a few hard caches, we were happy to find this quickly. Signed the log as KKKT. Thanks
The recent storm took it's toll on some of my caches..........this was one of them. Will replace soon.
Very glad the tides were in my favour. So there was no need to hurry. It took me some time to find this one. In fact, the first time I had it in hand, I just didn't see it. Very cool cache. Creative! Tftc. I love this series at the beach.
Came with Ozwalker on the 9th Feb but had damaged knee that day. Came on this special day for Mr Oz in NZ to find a few more and to have a swim at this very spot. Arrived here right at the top of the tide so had to wade over the tree to get to the beach. Water nice and warm. Great camo for the cache but then this is what we would expect, many thanks stevecoxnz.
Another nice quick find here albeit some clever use of camo. Our last one along the shoreline - now to clamber up the bank and hit the trails for a few more, TFTC!
We arrived at GZ and began the search but the camo was so good and so well placed that we almost overlooked it so were pleased to make the find. We returned it to its hiding spot just in time as some muggles appeared in the distance.
Amazing terrain along this beach, changes so frequently. TFTC.

I had been out to Duders Regional Park twice before. The first time I came out I discovered that my phone app didn’t have service and so I couldn’t locate any caches using it. I did however, remember the description and hint about one of the caches near the car park, and on that occasion I found it just by figuring it out. However, after that experience I went home and did some research about how to save caches offline, and then I returned some time later to try it out on another one in Duders… and it worked. So as today was a nice fine sunny day, and as I had left Mrs Sherlock the Puppy down at the beach with a friend, today was the day in which I decided that I was going to find a few caches in Duders Regional Park. My strategy: I decided that I would specifically target the caches up the centre of the Park, and then depending on how it goes, come back down one of the coasts. So after going 'By the Ware Whare' I descended down to find this one... and in the process some muggles who were watching on were intrigued by the path that I took. Anyway, it didn't matter as they were soon out of sight. Once at GZ, I was glad that the tide was out. This one actually took me quite a while to find... and once I thought about the obvious hint it was right in front of me the whole time... duhhh! So thanks once again stevecoxnz for setting not only this one up... but all of your other ones as well! I am loving this park!
Last one for us today as we reached the spit and decided to head back to the car before the soft rain turned into a downpour. T4tc
Decided as it was a nice day to head out to duders ranch and collect as many caches as possible before my phone battery dies (think I got about 80%?) Thank you to the cachers who had placed all of these.
What a sneaky sneaky hide this was. happy to find it!

Out with TF & TW doing these coastal caches while the tide was low. Very enjoyable walk & cache quickly spotted. Used the CO provided nearby WP to make our way up into the park. TFTC
Out and about with Trout-fly and avoyager to clean up the Duder caches since our last visit. Managed to locate them all and a great day to be out before the bad weather came in. All logs signed TF, TW, AV or TW, TF, AV or AV, TW, TF or something like that. Many thanks for all the caches we found today. Last one along this side so up and over the hill from here. TFTC
Out and about with AV and TW to finish off what we started some months ago, which was to find all the Duders caches. Started early, so had no worries with the weather and had a pleasant stroll around the park collecting caches. Logs signed mostly with initials TF, AV & TW. Found a ducks nest here and left here sitting on 8 eggs. Thanks.
I had heard that the weather was supposed to pack up this afternoon so straight after breakfast I headed out to sign off the rest of the caches here in the beautiful Duder Regional Park. I arrived at mid-tide on its way out to have a nice walk along the park's northern coastline.
Cheers for the cache.

Headed out here today as needed to collect a 10 point favorite for the souvenir, so along with 11HPG11 we left Hamilton bright and early (5.15am) so that we could get up here early, collect as many caches as possible so as to get back home to spend time with our respective families.
Today we covered approx 15.8kmx and still managed to be home by 2pm after clearing Duders Park. Also managed to find homes for a lot of trackables that I've had in my possession since coming back from South America.
Thank you to all the cache owners who have put these caches out and filled this little area, a good variety of caches, sizes and locations. Great walk along the foreshore which we did before doing the caches generally higher up. As to the middle of the Park (on some of the slopes there was a lot of water coming out of the hillside which necessitated the need to take a little care so that we didn't ens up back down on the foreshore.
After working our way along from parking and doing the spit it was time to start making our way around the foreshore while the tide was right. This was our fourteenth for the morning. Finally in the distance we confirmed that others also use this park [;-)] as we headed back down the northern side of the spit. Soon located this little one and made the most of the views.
Thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement.

Teamed up today with Cats&Dragons, our aim today was to tackle Duders Park and clean out the area. We didn't have much time so left Hamilton at 5.15am and made the way up to the park. All nice and quiet today at this early hour. We did around 15kms and were back home by 2pm so all in all a great morning. The weather was great too, still and calm in the early morning, some brilliant sun, a brief heavy shower and then cleared up again. We signed the logs as HOAC to save room. Thanks to all the cache owners for some great placements in a lovely area.
First signs of Auckland life were spotted around this point, just after 9am. Not as early risers as us. Some fantastic trees along here and great rock pools that kids would love to explore. Soon spotted the right hint item and found the cache.

Came back via the beach to see how many caches we could pick up before the battery went. Mister e had picked up this object and discarded it before dad picked up it could be the cache lication
The tide was on its way in by the time we got to this one as our last seaward cache on this side, fortunately we made it around with room to spare. Nice quick find for the cache
Nice quick find approaching from above. The tree was packed full of cormorants just sitting and looking out to sea. TFTC
Glad to be on the return trip along the flat away from the hills. Few other people walking the beaches
Today, yorkshirekiwi83 and I headed out to Duder Regional Park for our 3rd caching visit. This time we were part of Team DD, or the Dudes and Dudettes, a large group of cachers drawn to the area by Gorbys event, morning tea and fine baking.. oh and a few caches. We spent the day wandering around the park, finding all the caches we hadn't previously found - it was a great day out. Thanks for all of the caches placed out here! Another hide that I liked - fav point added!

We knew that our group Team D.D was going to have to drift uphill at some point. After this cache it had to be now or never! So Steve took us up some sort of path, I didn't mind, I enjoy a bit of a workout! But I think Team D.D were quite glad we got to the top when we did!
Found as part of todays group of Dudes & Dudettes- logged as DD. What a gorgeous spot!
It's been a lovely walk along the beach, with great company and much witty "repartee" ...and yet another excellent hide by Steve.

Team DD, dandying around Duder!
Still drifting, still on the ledge. But the drifting here is doomed to be **abortive** as we will be moving up the hill soon.
Thanks for the cache!

Another great DD find as we trailled up hill and down dale on our quest to find all these caches in one go !
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I had been out attending the 'Dudes & Dudettes Dandy Day Out' Event (GC6FKWX) at Duder Park ... part of the event was a walk around Duder Park collecting caches that we hadn't done before ... we had cleaned out all of the caches out here about 5 or 6 weeks ago, only to have another 12 or so pop up ... isn't that always the way ... this cache was the 10th of 16 physical caches, but the 11th of 17 caches for the day ... TN:LN:SL (signed under the Group name: Team D&D) ... TFTC ... #1,321 for us.
This was the last cache to be found on the shoreline and was a "corker" before we all had to convince ourselves that mind over matter was needed in order to make the ascent of the hill to get back on track to find caches on the trail head.
Having just spent a good time with Gorby's event today I have searched for a better way back up into the park from this cache. We did a zig zag course up from the cache & it was a quite challenging T4. I have found a shorter route. It is at least a T3 but possibly a T4 in places but it is a much shorter climb. If you walk another 140 meters east past this cache you will see a flatish start to the fence line above. I do not recommend trying the obvious cut prior to this trailhead. I came down it & it is treacherous with lots of deep holes hidden in the undergrowth. The trailhead is about 30+ meters past it. Coords are S 36 54.065 E 175 05.628. Still take care.
Another nifty hide that fit in with the cache name. After we found this cache, we headed up to the hill. It sure was difficult. I wish there was an easier way to get up. TFTC.
A large group of us set off around the regional park today, signed as DD. Over the course of the day we reduced in numbers, but had an amazing time out here, hopefully we dont have to come back too soon as I have cleared this park out twice already.
This was a nice quick find, as we now knew what to look for

I'm just 'loving' this series with such well thought out caches and great company in a superb environment on a perfect Autumn's day. I think this is the cache where our c.o and local guide Steve head off to other pastures. Thanks for all your caches Steve!
The last find down low before we have to head to higher pastures and no 'shark bells' were rung as the tide was still out. After the log was signed we followed the CO up the hill as we figured a local would know the best route to take. Thanks Steve
Last one on the beach for alpenmilch80 and myself and happy to have made it this far without getting wet feet. Bit of a search in the likely spot and the cache was soon found. Time to head inland and start thinking about some lunch. TFTC
10th of 17 finds of the day with Team D+D while at 'Dudes & Dudettes Dandy Day Out' Event. Enjoying the walk along the coast as even though I have been to Duders many times it has always been for the hill walks and have never walked along this bit of coast. This is the end of our cruisey walk though as we are about to head uphill for some exploring along the top. I had made an effort to find all the caches here previously only for PriceFamily6 and StevecoxNZ to make a greater effort to provide us with hours more entertainment.
Hunting geocaches around Duders today with evilno9. Another well placed find. TFTC
After eating our lunch by the red shed, we had just started looking for options of getting down to the beach when voices behind said " you must be caching if you are looking at getting down there". It was trampingkiwi who then joined us for the rest of the caches in Duder today. Managed to stumble on the optimum way down ( an old track) and whilst the rest of us negotiated the last few feet to the beach Mrs Sp8 quickly had the cache in hand.

Out for a day's exercise at Duders, plus the bonus of lots of new caches to collect. Headed along the farmland from "Its Tops" while looking for a way down to the beach. The couple that we had seen having lunch were also looking for a way down - could only be fellow cachers, great to meet sp8sm8 who we joined up with for the rest of the day. TFTC
What an awesome day out today. We are happy to finally have all happy faces at Duders again. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour with the CO and some newbies on this lovely coastal trail. TFTC
Came down from the park after being out on the Pa peninsula. What a long springy grass! It reminded us of the Te Toto gorge near Raglan. Soon had the cache found, then continued on our way back along the shore.
Found with keylev and laval.

Well what a day this has turned out to be so far!! Headed over here with Mr NZT. Cragger and Laval still chatty along the way. I can't believe we have not had moaning yet but then again FTF hunting is a great incentive!
Was getting more used to the type of camo we might encounter and soon had the cache in hand. A blank log greeted us - woo hoo FTF #3 for today.
Thanks for the cache.
