Out for a mid morning run so why not detour this way to include a find on route. Nice seat close by. Followed the stream back to the bridge. Easy find all is good with cache.Down in whiti for and extended weekend with friends enduldging in our crafting passion.
I love finding geocaches while on the E bike with JDScout. Once again we are following the speedy sloths. Next on the agenda is to either have lunch or move campsites or both. Thanks for all the great hides so far.
Thanks for your amazing cache G-2. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Having a real holiday weekend. Cheers, Cympull.
Stayed in the nearby Parkland Place B&B, which was fabulous! Super nice owners. This makes for an amazing backyard. Great job on the container. Gave you a FAV pt. in NZ for our 50th anniversary. Hoping to get our 10,000 find over in this beautiful country. Thanks for the hide
What a peaceful location. Spent some time just down looking at the river. Tftc
There was this cache near our accommodation. The camouflage is well made. A relaxed place to enjoy the sunset.
Really good camouflage # Found with mobi12 26 november 2022. Greetings from Västmanland Sweden
I thought it must have been swept away in a flood but then suddenly I spied this very clever camo (at the base of a different hint object) . TFTC
Staying in Whitianga for a long weekend and doing some caches while we are here. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache.
A bit of hunting before Mrs B claimed the win for this one. Mrs 6 Mr 1 so far for the day. Loved the camo- well worth the visit

Nice little park which we had to ourselves. Once at gz we made a quick find of this well camouflaged cache which blends in well with its surrounds.
We added a sheet of waterproof paper as log was full. TFTC

Came at night to look for this originally, but gave up. Came back today and cache soon in hand. TFTC
Came back during the day to grab this. Place has changed a lot since we had a place here. Tftc
Nice quick find. Great camo on this one. Ground was a bit wet underfoot on the approach but all good at gz.
I had a few hours to myself this afternoon without the family so wondered off to clear out the caches in Whitianga. I was hoping for a relaxing drive and cache and it was! With majority G-2 caches, it was sure it was going to be a difficult afternoon. Thank goodness it wasn't as the sun was out in full force. Perhaps G-2 was feeling merciful at Whitianga!
lots of grass here and I was a little fearful getting rashes as I was just in shorts and flip flops! Braved it and got the quick find. TFTC

Enjoyed the stroll in this park to find the caches, Spent some time at the little vege garden by the stream. Thanks for bringing me here
Such a random park! Easy find but definitely well camoed!! Managed to find a small space to sogn the log but it will need replacing, unfortunately we had no spares on us today to pop in there!
Its off back to base now for a cuppa
We are away for 10 days touring around and collecting caches as we go along
We came over from Coromandle to Fitty as it was raining over the other side and as we were staying at the campervan park by the canels it was time to get out on my bike and do some caching

Day 5 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I'm cruising around, seeing the sites and doing some geocaches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
All quiet here, found safe and dry. Log is starting to get full. TFTC

Another quick snag and tag here. Cheers.
Day 7 - Christmas Eve Thursday 24 December - Whitianga - Matarangi and back to Whitianga. So lets go exploring!
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

Hey! this park is named after yours truely! I never knew! I love it when my sheer brilliance and general awesomeness gets recognised!
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

I spent the afternoon back in Whitianga clearing out a number of caches in this area. TFTC.
Out and about for a few days for a bit of a road trip around the Coromandel area. Day Two of my road trip. I started my travels in Thames and ended my day in Whitianga. All good here. Cache found as per the hint. I was going to walk on to the cache by the bend but there were too many muggles there. TFTC, Biggles.
Unexpected long weekend! Off to Coromandel then... Beautiful river stroll. I will come back when have my own kayak here. TFTC
Another visit to whitianga. Looks like others had the same idea and had to get accommodation further out of town. Nice little park. Looks like a good spot to kayak up the stream. Nice camo. Tftc
Once I was the right side of the water and found the footpath it was easy to get to the coordinates. Nice camo and quick find here. I signed the log and then I replaced the cache as it was discovered.
Thanks for placing this cache and a favourite point from me for the camouflaged container

Beautiful Simpsons Beach & Whitianga - always a delight to visit this fantastic beach and meet up for family events here. With Sarahbee20, we got up with the sun and found a few newish caches. Managed to even find some spots around this locale that I hadn't been to before....the views!! Stunning.SB20 on her usual form and had it in her hand while I was still looking at the obvious spot. Tftc.
At Simpsons Beach for the long weekend, had an absolutely incredible time at this beautiful beach. Decided to get a few caches the morning of our last day. Went for the obvious one and changed tact when we realised we were still 20m away. Nicely disguised cache!. Perfect time to go geocaching, when the sun has just risen and no body is out and about just yet, no chance of getting muggled. Thank you for the cache!
Carried on along the stream with the bike up to here. Nice camo on this one. Only knew it was the cache once it was in my hands. Thanks for the random cache!
Not too many caches left to find in my home town but bought the geo hound down for a last walk of the year and a paddle then wandered along to find this cache. Nice camo. Happy 2020. TFTC
Seeing that it was a nice day I decided to do a bit of caching from about midday.
It seems I am slowly wending my way northish.
Cheers for the cache.

Find number 5819. After find the nearby cache I went back to the car. On my way I met a young couple walking their dogs. By the time I had driven around to this one they were there as well. I dallied around and went off in the other direction which ended up being where the cache was. Thank you for the placement.
Early morning Caching Mission to see what was up the Coromandal Peninsula, and working our way back from Whitianga down to Whangamata. This way we would leave enough caches to make the cache run worth it, hitting it from the south which would make it an easier day next time.Today I was in the company of HKCB, (logs were generally signed HKCD) and we soon set in putting the world to rights, discussed may sports and enjoyed good music, caches along with fantastic sunshine.Managed a total of 63 caches and only 3DNF's so all in all a pretty good outcome. We set out from home, departing at 3am with a long drive, and big day ahead of us. The good thing at this time is that there are very few other cars to worry about on the winding roads. We eventually made it back home by 4.30pm.
A short walk from the parking coordinates and the cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced.
A big thank you to all the cache owners for their diligence in maintaining these caches for the likes of us to enjoy.

I didn't spot this one, it was xo^8 who was quickly onto it though. Nice one. TFTC!!!

Found at 7:29 am while on holiday up north.
Carried along the riverbank and crossed the bridge, then headed for the the obvious object. A short search revealed the nicely camouflaged container. All good here. TFTC

9.00am. A short outing to find some local caches before we try the Coroglen to Tapu road. (and return). I think I remember a DNF in this park a few years ago but it was a quick one today.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
A random park that might have naked natives running round... that can't be right! I can't say I saw any of that carry on today. But I did see a nice looking cache though, although I can't remember what it looked like but I do remember as I left the place wanting to give this a FP! So a FP has been granted!
Here for my daughters wedding so while girls having makeup and hair done time for me to find a cache or two
Nice piece of camo here

On our 39th day in New Zealand we stayed around Whitianga and it's lovely beaches. Besides enjoying the sea we also looked for some caches.
After 4 DNFs we already got a little frustrated and were so happy to find this one here rather quick. Nice place, good cache with a great camo.
TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

Just collecting a few caches before heading home from a weekend away. Great cano here, TFTC
a muggle was leaving as i got there so had the place to myself, a quick find and onto the next one, tftc
After sleeping in Whitianga for the night it was time to explore the area whilst leisurely making our way back to Auckland.
Found the random park and the cache. No issue finding the correct spot but picked it up and had to look twice until I realised it was in my hand - ha ha.
Thanks for the cache.

2.40pm - Pays to check GPS and just not assume where cache is. Rushed off to wrong tree at first. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Another trek into Coromandel for work purposes, and caching of course...
Another quiet pocket. We assumed we'd arrived at the right tree, but this one was a little further off... TFTC.

Lovely place to wander in the cool of the evening...love the little waterway and the cache was located with no problem. TFTC
Got the bikes out to do a few caches along the awesome stretch of beach...enjoyed this very typical G2 hide...its all good and the longer it's there the more difficult it will be to locate...very peaceful area ...added to by the incoming tide a wonderful space thanks Glyn
This certainly was a random park and a good excuse to come here. Thanks for the placement G-2
GPS all over the place but eventually right tree located and cache soon in hand.
Nice quick find here. Fabulous Camo. Well done and thanks for bringing me here. Cheers
Took a little while to locate this little Park but we got there in the end. Greetings from England. Tftc
186. 2 caches planned for my morning walk this being one of them. Never been to this random park and never knew it was there. Love it that caching takes me to places that I would not normally go to. It was nice and peaceful with the birdsong from nearby trees. Very cool camo well crafted. TFTC
Sometimes I'm not sure why these spaces exist. It does make me wonder how much this reserve is used... by muggles... Cheers G-2 TFTC.
Cool camo! I can see the owner put some effort in making sure it doesn't get muggled easily, thanks!
Nice area for a walk in the morning

With the annual work fishing trip on this afternoon in Coromandel town, I thought I'd make a full day of it and head over first thing and make it a bit of a caching trip too. So I was out the door about 5.30am, with a general plan to find caches around the Whitianga and Kouatunu areas before heading over to Coromandel Town for the fishing trip.
Headed for the wrong tree, but checked the GPS before starting the search and realised I was still 20m away. Quick find when I went to the right tree, though it blended in nicely with the surrounds I nearly missed it.

Another nice quick find collecting done caches on our weekend in whitianga. This log is fine being waterproof paper despite all the recent rain. TFTC
