WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 52 - Bunbury Day 4. After a day trip away yesterday and a night of rain , I had a day of caching around Bunbury in mind today. I started with an eScooter trip into town to do some Labs and a few remaining city caches. After that it was into the car and out into the now very sunny day to cache to the South West, including a few busy retail areas that may be difficult on work days. I enjoyed the lake and saw some more beaches before a few short hill climbs. .The shops were closed and I started off with the theme of this cache and no, it was not there, then I used another idea and found this cache. I did need a tool to get it out, but that was nt a problem. Thanks for the cache Rach247777.12 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2007 June Signal A#92**Albida**
Found this back in September. My premium ended and didn’t have have the money to renew so didn’t log this
I had intended to get this yesterday, but a muggle was parked right at GZ and was looking right at where I wanted to search. So I didn’t even get out of the car.
Today I was back and, while there were more cars, there was not a muggle on the phone. However as I opened the door to get out some muggles returned with their shopping, so I had to keep reading my phone. They pulled out and I was about to move in when another muggle parked right where the others had left from. And this muggle took their merry time. One they exited the scene I got out and spotted the cache, but I could not retrieve it as more muggles arrived.
They moved on and I retrieved the cache and signed the log as quickly as I could lest even more muggles turn up. They didn’t before I was gone.

Out in the South West for the weekend, taking a quick break from commitments after a busy week. Thanks to all that placed caches.
Cheers Rach2!
Cheers Rach2!
Enjoying a long weekend in Bunbury for WAGB Spent the day pottering around picking up caches as I went - after a leisurely breakfast of course! This was one that I stopped off at today. After dark so a little easier to search... and was happy to make a nice quick find. No problems here today - TFTC
Find 27 of 44 with 4 DNFs on a full day of bike riding around Bunbury for WAGB2022.
Had to shift some rubbish before extracting the cache - there was a bin right there, too.
TFTC Rach2!

After a DNF i felt a bit silly as i tried to get this container out last time with a tool, a massive over site on my behalf bit after doing another one in picton, this one clicked came back and checked.... yep got it
Hmmm no luck for me with this one today. I was trying to wait between muggles and used stealth moves but couldnt spot it.
Ok shop is closed, its quieter now so back for a second look after a hint from a friend. I dont know how I missed this sneaker sucker - but I did. Got it now, signed and happy for the extra smiley TFTC
No muggles here today at 6 am they must all be having breakfast, its nice to see a well maintained cache as we had a new dry log to sign Thanks Rach 2 for maintaining this cache for our enjoyment all in good dry condition TFTC
Due to muggles coming and going, had to be a little bit patient to retrieve this one.
Unfortunately log was very damp, plastic bag u/s and sorry didn't have a replacement. Was still able to sign.

A spontaneous decision to head away on an overnight camping trip had our sights set for Bunbury and surrounds. We had a few geocaches, waymarks and Sighters on the radar to add to our respective tallies. A big thanks to all the CO’s for enticing us back to this area! Cheers and TFTC.

Gwiber had to come to Bunbury today so the better half and I drove her down and we all did some caching as well once here. It drizzled most of the day so we ended up quite wet for the trip home. Most caches were quick finds with only a few of DNF's for the day mainly due to muggles.
A quick find here at one of the only spots that wasn't raining when we were looking. Log was signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks baffle for the cache.

Found while on holiday from the UK. Just a 5 minute walk from relatives in Bunbury. Nice hide which we soon spotted.

** This is a late log **
The caches I am now logging are from a day geobuddy Mark (marke8183) and I once again headed southwards to the Bunbury area. We stopped along the way and enjoyed a scrumptious meal at one of the pubs in the area before heading up to Everest - not a good move on a full stomach, but we managed it ok. And we were able to find all but one of the caches that we searched for, so an enjoyable day all round.
Since then, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.
I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs.
This one had us scratching our heads and dodging muggles, but we found it eventually. Thanks for the smiley baffle

Excited to be back in baffle country for a few days. Stopped to log a quick find here. Thank you.
TFTC! Day 2 of the Bunbury weekend geocaching trip with Cravo10. After a massive day yesterday we decided we needed more of the same punishment and decided another big day was I order.
We headed around town grabbing a few park and grabs gradually making our way south towards Ludlow grabbing a bunch of caches on nice quiet country roads which was most pleasant.
We worked out way around the area, accumulating caches not going too far off the main drag.
We then worked our way back toward central Bunbury taking the inland route picking up a few more caches which again were mostly simple grabs.
The time had come for us to leave as I had a short appointment to attend in Perth so we made our way back down South west highway where we picked up an archived cache which was just a slight detour on coalfields highway and bunch of new caches in the Harvey area and three caches in wagerip which was a must do, collected about 40months unloved due to the very unfortunate yarloop fires, some nice caching there dimor.
Thanks to the local COs, a huge weekend and fortunately there are still a heap more for a return visit!

Another great weekend in Bunbury caching, and running riot with friends and Family. Tftc,sl,tnln.
Had to pool my son up from just around the corner so grabbed thirds while close by. I grew up round this area and remember being bout 7 years old and getting my toe caught under the door to the shop. Hobbled home then went and got stitches! Tftc !
Thanks clever camo. Out finding some Carey Park caches today. Having a good run no DNFs for us today and 7 finds by 10am.
Off all the times I stopped here for chicken treat, I didn't realise this one was back in play
Went back with dimor today and made the find. Don't know how I missed it before. Might need better glasses. TFTC baffle
The Dynamic Duo were out in the field this morning to find this cache, oops sorry I was dreaming
Rach said four eyes would be better than two, at my height I don't thinks so but I drove us there and supplied the pen so I'm sure that counts for something
A quick grab by Rach once muggles stopped coming and going from the area, signed log and put back.
Then the normal laughs in the car on the way home
TFTC baffle and see I was right I did need backup

After noticing this cache had been found earlier in the day, geo-hubby and I waited till 10 pm to venture out under of cover of darkness and with reassurance that the chicken shop would be now shut. All quiet at gz so with torch in hand we set about the search and soon spotted the clever hide. Thanks baffle
Headed out with Skippy 46 to find a few caches today. This was a very hard cache to do outside a very busy shop. Spotted where the cache was hidden but we had to wait for the right time to actually grab it. Once we finally signed the log book we then had to time it right to put it back TFTC baffle
Out with ooh yeh caching down south.
When we arrived here there were a group of locals congregating close by so we went into the shop to order some lunch.
While we were in there the locals dispersed so i went outside to where we thought it would be and found it. Had a bit of trouble in the retrieval as cars kept pulling up but they luckily were just going straight into the shop.
When there finally was no one around we signed the log and quickly put it back before anyone else arrived.
TFTC baffle........well hidden.

No luck for us this arvo. Furtive search so as not to draw attention of customers nearby. Thanks baffle
Was in the area so drove by to suss this one out.
Umm not sure if it's dimor friendly (as the last one here wasn't) so will be back with backup and some roadblock signs to stop the traffic

In the area for school holidays & a new cache emailed through.
A nice FTF score as we haven't had one for quite a while.
Thanks for highlighting Chicken Treat is there as we had no idea!
A quick sign & off we went.

Shared second to find with Goldfoot. This is the second one of this type of your geocaches that we have found. We like the idea!
